“I only did that once,” Amara laughed, hitting him on the arm. “You told me that you didn’t want it, so how could I let it go to waste?”

“Honey, you have already taken my heart. So, I don’t care if you take the last bite of cake. I’ll let you do it anytime you want as long as you do it with me at your side,” he whispered.

Staring down into Amara’s beautiful face, Dante silently thanked whoever sent her to him the night of the rainstorm. For as long as he could remember, he worked on saving his friends from their problems and finding love while pretending he didn’t want the same exact thing as them.

However, it took the appearance of a tiny, sassy female to show him finding everlasting love was more important than anything he could ever believe. For the one special gift given to him by Amara, he was going to love her completely and deeply for the rest of their lives.

Epilogue

Two months later...

Soft kisses were planted down the side of her neck while long fingers worked on pulling her shirt out of her jeans. “Baby, why don’t we call everyone and tell them the party has been cancelled,” Dante whispered in her ear. “I don’t want to celebrate anything with my friends. Why don’t we have another kind of party alone with no clothes?”

Wiggling out of her fiancé’s arms, Amara spun around and shook a finger at him. “No, you got an award for having one of the top five hottest bars in Los Angeles. I’m throwing this party for you and you will behave while everyone is here. Anyways, just think about how much fun we’ll have when all of your friends have gone home. Did I tell you I bought something new from the raise I got at work? I’ll try it on for you later.”

“I still don’t like you answering phone at that construction site. I see how all of those men look at you every time I drop you off,” Dante complained.

“Honey, it’s the perfect fit for me now while I finish college and get my degree. You know that you’re the only man I want. Besides, none of them ever flirt with me.” Amara laughed.

“They may not be saying it, but I can see what they’re thinking. It’s written all over their faces.”

“Well, I’m not at work now and I don’t have to be back until next week. So, how about you forget about them and grab me the rest of the napkins from the kitchen table,” she suggested. “I need a few more for the rest of the tables we rented for the party.”

“All right, I think I can handle that,” Dante said then stole a kiss before he turned around and headed back through the patio doors into the kitchen.

Walking over to the counter, he picked up the two packages of napkins when the doorbell rang. He already knew that had to be Jim and Keira. They were always the first to arrive for any party because it gave his buddy an excuse to be the first one to leave.

Tossing the napkins back down on the table, Dante made his way through the kitchen and into the living room. Smiling, he opened the front door, but the smile instantly slipped from his face when his eyes landed on the four men standing on the other side.

“What in the hell are you doing here?” he demanded, glaring at Morgan, Tanner, Lucas and Rowan.

“We’re ready to build bridges instead of burning them,” Rowan said taking a step forward. “All we want to know is...are you still open to doing the same thing with us, big brother?”
