Chapter 28

Several hours later, Marty was no longer recognizable. April made him cut his own face off. From there he gradually skinned himself completely. He never stopped screaming as he cut his own flesh away. The weird thing was how none of it had bothered her. The only part that she didn’t like was her little Pomeranian running up and eating Marty’s discarded flesh. She tried to pull him way, but he growled and even snapped at her.

He sat on the floor shivering and whimpering. At least he’d stopped with the bawling.

“You feel good Marty? You know why I’m doing this to you?”

     “Yes.”

“Why is that? You still think I killed your family?”

“No ma’am. We tried to hurt you and hurt lots of other people.”

“That’s right. Now why was that so hard for you to get? If you hadn’t hurt all those people, your family would be alive and you wouldn’t be dying right now.”

“How long before I die?” he asked.

“We’re almost done,” she said as she went into the kitchen and returned a moment later with a container of salt. She flipped the top open and poured it over Marty’s skinned body. He screamed, twitched and flailed as she moved it up and down over him, making sure the salt got everywhere. After a couple of minutes, he passed out. Once he was out, she decided he didn’t deserve taking his own life. She took the knife and with one clean swipe, slit his throat.

Watching as blood sprayed from his neck and air escaped. Soon he was silent. She tossed the knife to the floor and stared at his body. He was dead, finally. The man and family that had tortured and killed so many people for their own amusement were finally dead. While she finally felt a sense of relief, she knew her work wasn’t done. There were other men out there like Marty. Lots of them

Not everyone had the ability to do something about it. She did. Not only could she stop them, but she could do so in the most humiliating way imaginable. She headed into the bathroom and climbed into the shower. As the water poured over her, she went over the events of the past few months in her mind. Also, she made a checklist in her head. There was work to be done.
