“You’re not wearing anything underneath,” he said, surprised.

Roxie broke into a wicked grin.

Retracting his hand, Aerigo scooped her into his arms and carried her straight to the bed.

Roxie woke feeling completely at ease and the happiest she’d ever felt. She and Aerigo had managed to calm down soon enough to keep their lunch appointment with Luis and crew, which stretched into an enjoyable several hours of eating and talking about all that had transpired. Once the restaurant started changing over for dinner, they all took off, Roxie and Aerigo spiriting themselves back to their suite.

Words were insufficient to describe how wonderful their lovemaking was, but she could say she finally understood what others meant by it being the best with the right person. It was just... wow.

Roxie lay on her back, snuggled up against Aerigo’s bare chest, who was still fast asleep, looking thoroughly tuckered out. She laughed inwardly as she caressed the arm draped over her stomach. He woke at her touch and yawned.

“Good morning,” she said, trying not to yawn because he’d yawned.

“Good morning,” he said in his deep, gentle voice. “Sleep well?”

“Very. You?”

“Mhm.” He rolled on top of her, cradling her in his arms and resting his weight on her, then gave her a kiss.

She slipped her arms under his and held on. “Hey, Aerigo?”

“Mm?”

“Since we have some time to relax before we help clean up the damage from the prophecy, I was wondering if you’d like to see more of Earth. I want to show it to you like you showed me so many others.”

He leaned in and gave her another kiss. “I’d like that.”

The story will continue in the
Godhunter Trilogy
.

Acknowledgements

Thank you, Simon, for taking me under your roof so I can dedicate my life to my writing career. So many people don’t understand that, in order to accomplish certain goals, they don’t happen overnight. You’ve made the impossible possible.

A huge thank you to Kristin Jacques, with her magical editing skills. I bow to your prowess. My stories wouldn’t be nearly as good if it weren’t for your eye for detail.

Another huge thanks to Julius St. Clair, fellow author, my publisher, and good friend. I’m eternally grateful for how we understand each other in ways that can’t be expressed in words; just smiles, laughter, and gratitude.

Also, thank you to all my family, friends, and fans. I couldn’t live this life without your support.
