That wasn’t fair. “You started without us.”

Vince pulled back the glass door. “Just getting it hot for you.”

Oh, my. This was going to be a shower to remember.

Chapter Sixteen

Cam stepped behind Mandy. He clasped his palms over her breasts, preventing her from entering the shower. “I want to stand here a minute and enjoy the embrace.” He slipped his cock between her thighs.

Uncontrollable spasms made her inner walls ripple, and her juices dripped on him. Her pussy craved to be stroked again, but her ass wanted the experience even more.

Cam leaned over her back and kissed her neck. “Ready to be taken to a new high?”

Love blossomed.

Love?
Could she be in love with both men after a few weeks?
Yes.

“Show me.”

Cam led her into the shower, and Vince immediately sprayed her body with the handheld showerhead. The warm water soothed.

Cam grabbed the soap. “Let’s get you clean.”

Instead of him working on her pussy, he cleaned her tits first, then her ass, and finally he soaped between her legs. His fingers reignited every part of her body. Would she ever be immune to what these men did to her?

She hoped not.

“I don’t think Cam spent enough time with these babies.” Vince cleaned her tits again.

His definition of cleaning included plucking and pinching. She grabbed the soap and worked her palms into a lather. Since Vince was standing in front of her, she grabbed his cock.

He grinned. “My cock might look hard, but he’s dead. Only the sexiest woman in the world can breathe life into him.”

“That a challenge?”

“If you’re up for it, take it.”

She smiled and leaned over. Only then did she realize the ploy.

Cam whistled. “You have the sweetest ass, angel. I’m going to realize my dream.”

Using some soap, he rubbed her ass until she was slick and then pressed a thumb into her muscled ring. Anxiety bit into her, but she pushed out a breath and concentrated on giving Vince the best blow job possible.

She rinsed Vince’s cock. Instead of sucking on him right away, she dragged her tongue up his length. She hadn’t expected the hiss to come out so loud. His “dead” cock was anything but lifeless. On the second lick, the long vein down the middle pulsed and throbbed.

He lifted her hair from her face. Water hit the side wall and splashed her cheek. Vince must have seen the spray and turned off the water.

“You can grab him, darlin’ if you want.”

His urgent tone made her want to go even slower. She was impressed, however, that he’d climaxed just minutes before and seemed ready to explode so soon. His recuperative powers were amazing.

So into Vince, it wasn’t until Cam pressed the head of his cock against her back opening that she realized the big moment was about to occur. She tried to relax. He popped his cock in and held still. Cam lifted her hair, making it easier for her to enjoy Vince.

“Go ahead and suck on Vince while I fuck your pretty ass.”

His crude words were meant to release the tension swirling in the air.

“Do as Cam says. Darlin’.” The hesitation floated on a gasp. A gasp she caused by grabbing his balls.

Cam’s fingers tightened on her rear. As she lowered her mouth on Vince’s cock and sucked hard, Cam eased down her back channel. With each tiny thrust, nerves jumped to life. This was no dildo. Her ass stretched, and it took all of her concentration not to tighten down on his cock.

“You’re doing great, angel. I’m so close to fully impaling you. I love how tight you are.”

His words were said so softly she almost didn’t catch all of them. Vince pinched her nipples and she dragged her teeth up and down his cock.

“Careful.”

She didn’t think she’d hurt him. Push him closer to the edge was more like it.

Just then Cam hit some nerve that was so taut, euphoria threatened to sweep her away. Her suction increased, and she swirled her tongue around him as she rubbed his balls.

Vince clamped a hand on the wrist not holding his balls and placed her fingers on his cock. “Pump hard.”

Delighted to oblige, she lifted her hand up and down as she bobbed her head. The faster she went, the harder Cam drove his cock into her ass. Never would she have guessed how much she liked having him back there.

Cam slipped a finger in her pussy, and arousal shot through her bloodstream. When his thumb rubbed her clit, the impending climax blossomed. Vince rubbed her nipples. She sucked on his cock. Cam pounded her ass.

Vince yelled, and his hot cum coated her throat. She lifted a little to swallow his tangy brew. As she licked her lips, Cam’s finger fucked her pussy, strumming her clit with his thumb. Fire consumed her, and the headiest orgasm in her life blasted her.

Her groan turned into a near yell, and Cam answered by searing her ass with his jism. Everyone’s quick breaths mixed and bounced off the shower wall. Cam tugged on her shoulder to stand as he slipped out of her ass.

Her pussy vibrated. Her ass sung, and her tits throbbed. True bliss had been reached.

She smiled at Vince. “I win!”

Both men laughed.

Vince tapped her nose. “I’m so glad.”

* * * *

The next day brought rain, and a lot of it. Because of the blatant attempt on her life, Cam and Vince still insisted she stay inside. This time she didn’t object. Had she remembered her purse when she slid into her car to reach Vince, she’d be dead now. A shiver of fear tripped up her spine.

It wasn’t until later that she even recalled the name of the officer who’d called her, but the sheriff’s department assured her no one by that name existed. Coupled with Vince’s fake call to the church, everyone agreed it was a well-thought-out ploy to convince Mandy to get in her car.

Cam was at work, so Vince said he’d work from home. He was standing at the center island pilfering some cookies his aunt had sent over when his cell rang.

“Vince Callen. Really drunk? Keep him there, Jackson. And thanks.”

Vince seemed to study his phone for second.

“Who was that?”

“My cousin’s husband. You remember Jenny, don’t you?”

“She was the medical person who treated my leg injury. What did he want?”

“You up for a ride?”

She jumped, not caring where they went. “Absolutely.” She grabbed her purse and headed out. “Tell me.”

“According to Jackson, Darby Atkins is at the Raging Bull right now telling everyone who will listen he didn’t plant the bomb in your car.”

She slid onto the front seat of his car. “Who accused him?”

He shrugged. “Cam and I may have asked some questions. We must have struck a nerve.”

“Why would he say he didn’t put the bomb in my car? That almost implies he set the tent fire and shot at me.”

“That’s why we’re going to visit the bar.” He glanced over at her. “At the first sign of trouble, I want you to leave. I’ll tell Jackson to follow you out.”

A shiver crawled up her spine. “No problem. With all that has happened, I’m not taking any chances.”

“Good.”

She enjoyed the drive downtown, in part because she’d been cocooned at the ranch for so long, but also because there was a beauty to this austere land. They parked on Fourth Street, between Park and Aspen, a half block away from the bar. Vince jogged to her side and popped open an umbrella. As he opened the door, he kept his focus on the street and not on her.

“Stay close.” He wrapped an arm around her waist and escorted her into the bar.

No surprise, the music was rather loud. For an afternoon, she hadn’t expected the place to even have six customers. The man behind the bar nodded. He must be Jackson.

She didn’t have to search the place to find this Darby fellow. Instead of shouting as she expected, he was at a table crying. A heavyset woman sat across from him, holding his hand.

She and Vince approached.

“Darby?”

He looked up. His bloodshot eyes broke her heart.

“I didn’t do it, I swear.” He grabbed Mandy’s hand. “You’ve got to believe me.”

The fact he knew who she was set her stomach tumbling. However, the man seemed contrite and not a threat. “May we join you?”

Vince’s grip tightened.

“Sure.”

They pulled out chairs, and she sat between the woman and Vince. “Tell me what you’re not guilty of.”

“Of blowing up your car.” He tapped his chest. “I got an alibi.”

She held up her hands. “Okay. What about burning the tent and shooting my leg.”

The woman holding Darby’s hand squeezed it then faced both of them. “You don’t understand.”

Her comment screamed guilt.

“What don’t we understand?” Vince said with more calm than she could have possessed.

“It’s been real hard with our son sick.”

She’d heard about him.

Vince looked at Mandy then back at the woman. “Mrs. Atkins, I can only imagine what’s it like for you. When my younger sister got spinal meningitis, it nearly tore our family apart. In our case, it was time that was needed and lots of prayers rather than money.”

Mandy’s heart nearly cracked. She’d never known about his sick sister.

Tears streaked down Darby’s cheeks and he looked up. “We were desperate. I didn’t have the money for the insurance, and I was working two jobs.” He glanced down at the table. “I even lost that one.”

It must have been the job at the high school.

Mrs. Darby nodded. “I cleaned homes from sun up to sun set, but when Joshua needed the treatments more often, I had to cut back.”

Mandy’s heart bled.

Darby swiped his eye. “So when this woman comes to me asking if I’d do a little job for her and offers me enough money to pay for a year’s worth of insurance, I said hell, yeah.”

Mrs. Atkins looked between them. “She offered him ten thousand dollars. Do you know how much that can do for Joshua? He’s our son.”

Vince clenched his fists. Mandy reached under the table and laced her fingers with his. “Then what?” she said.

Darby looked to the side. “I told her no.”

Her hand tightened. “If you refused—”

“At first. Then Joshua took a turn for the worse. We thought we were going to lose him. I had to take the money. Don’t you see?” His voice cracked.

Vince jerked his hand from hers. “Who was this woman?”

Mandy closed her eyes for a moment, not wanting to hear the answer.

“Sharon Lipman.”

Vince pounded the table. “God damn it.”

She couldn’t tell if he was angrier at Darby or at Sharon.

Mandy leaned forward. “Were her instructions to kill me?” For that much money, it made sense.

Darby’s mouth opened. “Hell, no. What do you take me for? I ain’t no killer.”

Vince grabbed the man’s wrist. “What exactly did she tell you to do?”

He dragged a palm down his unshaven face. “I never planned to hit you. Just scare you a bit.” He held up a palm. “As God is my witness. You stepped into the line a fire. I was aiming for the dirt behind you.”

“I did take a step back. I was hit, but you only grazed me.” She studied the man. “What about the tent fire?”

He shook his head.

Mrs. Atkins placed a loving hand on Darby’s shoulder. “Tell them everything.” She faced them. “He hasn’t been able to sleep since it happened.”

Darby worked his lips then ground his teeth together. He nodded. “She hired me to go to the campground. She wanted me to kill you this time, but I couldn’t do it. I seen Vince leave and heard you two talking. I knew you were awake.” He grabbed Mandy’s hand. “I swear I didn’t want to hurt you. If I didn’t want you to escape, I would have set the door on fire.”

He had a point. Now that she was face to face with her evil villain, only sympathy filled her.

Vince leveled him with a stare. “What did Sharon do after you told her Mandy was okay?”

He looked to the ceiling. “Bitch said she’d tell the sheriff if I didn’t go back and kill Mandy.”

Vince’s shoulders relaxed a little. “Didn’t she think you’d tell Will who hired you? That you’d give her up?”

Mrs. Atkins answered. “She said she’d make sure Joshua never got the right treatment if he did.”

“Son of a bitch.” Vince shoved his chair back so hard it toppled to the floor.

“Vince. Don’t.”

He shot a glance to the exit, but she didn’t think he would leave without her. “Mr. and Mrs. Darby, would you both be willing to make a sworn statement to that effect?”

His wife answered. “Yes.” Darby merely nodded.

Vince’s back heaved. He pulled out his phone and called the sheriff’s office instead of smashing the man’s face in. He only spoke a few words before he disconnected. He turned to Darby and his wife. “The sheriff is on his way.”
