I had broken up with Jason aka Scooby two months ago because I caught him cheating on me with Tabitha Clark, the neighborhood slut.  My mind replayed that night even though I’ve tried many times to forget about dat shit.

I thought that my friend Shania was bullshittin’ me when she said that she saw them in his car parked next to the dumpster in her projects.  I asked her could she come get me so I could see for myself; I only lived ten minutes from their projects so she said okay.  When we got there she pulled up in the parking spot she normally parked in and I got out and slowly made my way to his car.  I didn’t wanna run up on them in case she wasn’t in there or in case they actually were doing something.  I wanted to catch them in the act; ya know give them that element of surprise.

I saw the car rocking and the windows were a bit foggy but not so much that I couldn’t see Scooby busting her pussy wide open.  She was moaning so loud and he was giving it to her good too.  I couldn’t believe this shit because this is the dude who broke my virginity, this is the dude I had been dating for two and a half years, this is the dude who ass was about to get busted!  I ripped open his door and dragged Tabitha out by her fuckin’ hair and started whipping her ass.  Because they were in the middle of fucking her ass was bare and naked for the whole project to see.  I was punching and slapping her as I sat on top of her.  She tried her best to fight back but I had the upper hand and my hands were quicker than hers.  As a crowd gathered round to watch me beat her ass, I saw Scooby picking up his pants and smiling like a Cheshire cat.

All of a sudden I jumped off Tabitha and ran up on him landing a right hook dead in his fuckin’ mouth.  As the crowd oohhed and aahhed, that just amped me up to punch him some more.  That was when he held me and said, “It’s not what you think yo!  Calm down and let me explain!”

“Fuck you Scooby and get the fuck off me!  We are through!” I yelled trying to release his grip on me.

“Just let me talk to you!” he yelled.

“I don’t wanna hear any of your fuckin’ lies!  I caught you with your dick all up in that hoe so there’s no need to explain!  Now let me go!” I yelled.

As Tabitha got up and came around the car, I knew she was gonna try and get a lick off me if Scooby didn’t let me go.  Just as I thought she started coming for me but I wasn’t about to let that bitch hit me so when she came at me I lifted my legs off the ground as Scooby held me and kicked her in her fuckin’ stomach!  Scooby let me go and I jumped on that bitch again, pulling her hair and swinging her around like she was a dishrag.

“Let me go Bitch!  I’m pregnant!” she yelled.

I let her go and she fell on her ass.

“You’re pregnant?” I turned my attention to Scooby and asked, “You got this hoe pregnant?  How long has this shit been going on?” I asked.

At this point I was in tears because I had gotten pregnant for Scooby last year but he said he wasn’t ready for a kid so he took me to the abortion clinic.  And now this bitch was claiming to be pregnant by him.

“I didn’t know that hoe was pregnant!  If she is that ain’t my baby!” he yelled.

“What you mean it ain’t your baby?  Muthafucka it sho is your baby, especially since you the only nigga I been fuckin’ for the past three months!” Tabitha said.

Her nose was bleeding and her right eye was swollen and I had busted her lip.  I didn’t know if she was still pregnant after the kick to the stomach I gave her but I sure hope she lost that bastard baby.

“Three months?  You been fuckin’ this bitch for three months?” I asked Scooby.

“I know it sounds but we ain’t been fuckin’ every day and that ain’t my kid!” he said.

“This is your baby and when she or he is born I will prove it!  You better hope I don’t lose my baby bitch because I will send your ass straight to jail!” Tabitha said.

“Bitch?  You calling me a bitch but your ass was just caught fuckin’ MY man in his damn car!” I yelled.

“Newsflash Bitch he ain’t ya man if he been fuckin’ me for the past three months!” Tabitha shouted which got the crowd excited.

“You know what?  You can keep his bitch ass because y’all deserve each other,” I said as I mushed Scooby in the head.

“Baby!  Baby wait!  We can work this out!” Scooby called after me.

I turned on my heel and looked at him, “Fuck you Scooby!  You been fuckin’ that hoe for three months and you wanna work it out now that I busted y’all?  And to top it off the bitch is pregnant!  Kiss ma ass!”

Shania was waiting for me by her car and we got in so she could take me home.

       “You okay Girl?” she asked.

“No I’m not!  I love that muthafucka and this shit hurts but I’ma be alright.  I can’t believe that nigga was cheating on me all this time and I didn’t even know it!  Like how could I not know?” I asked.

“He did a good job of hiding it so it’s not your fault!” Shania said.

Scooby called me trying to get back together for three weeks after that but then he finally gave up.  I was not going to get back together with him after he cheated on me and he had been cheating on me.

I hadn’t realized how much my relationship with Scooby stressed me out until I ended it.  He always said he had to work but never wanted to tell me what he did.  I guess he was working; on other chicks.  I was happy to not be with him anymore but I missed the sex.  Even though Scooby was only working with eight inches he knew how to work it and his head game was off the chain.  What he lacked in inches, he made up for with his head game.

My mom finally made it home and I couldn’t wait to go to my room and close the door.  All that noise she was talkin’ bout earlier was getting on my nerves.  As soon as I got comfortable in my room my phone rang.  I didn’t recognize the number but picked up anyway.

       “Hello,” I answered.

“Hey Caramel, this Shine,” he said.

I did a quiet little scream because I was happy he called.  His liking of me seemed really genuine so I wanted to see what he wanted.

       “Hey wassup,” I said.

“Chillin’, chillin’, I just wanted to see what you was doing?  I haven’t been able to stop thinkin’ bout you since you left this afternoon,” he said.

“I was just laying her chillin’.  To be honest I was thinkin’ bout you too.  Thanks again for the handbag,” I said.

“You’re welcome.  Hey I was wondering if I could take you out some time?” Shine asked.

       “On one condition,” I said.

       “What’s that?” he asked.

“You have to tell me your real name,” I said.

“So I tell you my real name and you agree to let me take you out?” he asked.

       “Yep,” I said.

“It’s Christian, Christian Andres,” he said.

“That’s a beautiful name so why do you go by the name Shine?” I asked.

“It’s a long story, maybe I’ll tell you about it someday,” he responded.

“I’ll hold you to that,” I said.

“So when can I take you out Sexy?” he asked.

“When did you wanna take me out?” I asked.

       “How bout tonight?” he asked.

“Let me ask my mom and I’ll get back to you,” I said excitedly.

       “Okay cool,” he said.

We hung up and I went to ask my mom if it would be alright if we went out.  I hoped and prayed she wouldn’t go off the way she normally did.

       “Hey Mom,” I said.

“Hey Mel, what’s up?” she asked.

“I just wanna know if I can go to the movies with one of my friends?” I asked.

“What friend?” she asked raising an eyebrow.

“His name is Christian; he’s the one that bought me that handbag earlier.  He’s really nice and cute Mom and I think that you would like him!” I said trying to convince her to let me go.

“As long as he comes in and introduces himself before y’all leave.  I need to know who you are going out with and where y’all going.  Understood?” my mom asked.

“Yes Ma’am!  Thanks Mom!” I said giving her a tight hug.

I couldn’t wait to tell Christian as I dialed his number.

       “What’s good Sexy?” he answered.

“She said I could go but that you have to get down and come meet her!” I said.

“Okay cool!  So where you wanna go?” he said.

“Well I kinda told her we were going to the movies but you can surprise me!” I said.

“Okay I can do that.  I’ll be by around eight, that cool?” he asked.

“Yea okay, I’ll text you my address after we hang up,” I said.

“Cool, see you then,” he said and we hung up.

I texted him my address and hurriedly dialed Shaniqua’s number.

CHAPTER FIVE-SHANIQUA

I was playing a game with my little brother and sister when my phone rang.  I checked the caller ID and it was Caramel so I picked it up.

       “Hey Chick, wassup?” I answered.

       “Guess what,” she said.

       “I don’t know,” I said.

“Shine called me,” she said excitedly.

“Oh yea?  What did he say?” I asked.

“He and I are going out tonight!” she said.

       “Where y’all headed?” I asked.

“Not sure yet, I told him to surprise me,” she said.

“Okay, but don’t go giving up your goodies on the first night Heifer!” I said with a laugh.

“Whatever Bitch, you know I’ve been experiencing a drought.  If he want it he can sho get it,” she said and started laughing.

“Really?  Don’t forget the last time you decided to do that shit,” I told her.

“What you mean by that?  The last time I did that it led to a two and a half year relationship with Scooby,” she said.

“I know but you just got out of a relationship so do you really wanna jump in another one?” I asked.

“Hey, who said anything about a relationship?  I said I’d let him scratch my itch if he wanted to, ain’t nobody say nothing bout no darn relationship!” she said.

“So you gon just let him hit?” I asked.

“I think we’re overthinking this.  This is only gonna be our first date and he hasn’t even come to pick me up yet,” she said.

“Well, just keep your cookies in your jar,” I advised.

       “Yes Mom,” she answered sarcastically.

“Have fun Girl,” I said as we hung up.

I wanted to talk to Antoine but I didn’t want to be the one to call.  It’s not like I could go anywhere tonight anyway because I had to babysit so my mom could go to Ms. Tracy’s card game.  I didn’t mind babysitting for my mom because she worked hard to take care of us so anytime she needed a break, I would watch my younger brother and sister.

I was glad that summer was approaching soon because I was ready for a break.  I decided to go take a quick shower and then read a book on my Kindle Fire.  I had purchased quite a few books the other day but hadn’t gotten around to reading any of them but I was gonna change that tonight.  I hopped in the shower and just relaxed under the showerhead because the water felt so good.  Then I dried myself off and changed into my evening clothes.

I sat down on the sofa, put my feet under me and started to read a book by one of my favorite authors, Carl Weber.  The book was called
Big Girls Don’t Cry
and I couldn’t wait to read it because I heard so many good things about this book.  My sister and brother were in their room still playing the game; Chase was nine and Avery was six and they got along great.  Chase was the big brother and was so protective over his little sister.

I had just turned to page one of my book when my phone began to ring.  I looked at the caller ID and saw that it was Antoine.  The minute I saw his number my heart began to race and my palms started sweating.

       “Hello,” I answered.

“Hey Baby Girl, wassup,” Ant said.

“Chillin’, I was just about to read a book.  What you up to?” I asked.
