"Damn, that was hot!" Sterling said from
Edgar's asscrack. "You seriously didn't touch yourself?"

Edgar was still caught in the paroxysm of
post-orgasmic pleasure, panting and gasping. When he could speak
again, he answered, "Not so much as a finger! Between your talented
tongue and the Jamaican Blade I vaped earlier, it just...
happened!"

Sterling laughed and eased himself out from
under Edgar, allowing him to sit down on the bed. "No wonder!" he
said. "The Blade will do it to you. I'm glad I played a part, too,"
he winked.

It was Edgar's turn to laugh. "I'd say you
were the driving force behind it."

Sterling gave Edgar a wolfish grin. "Not yet,
boy, but I'm about to be." Edgar eyed his bedmate's rock hard bone
and assumed the position - head down, ass up.

CHAPTER 10

Consciousness
slowly returned to Edgar; he blinked, enjoying the feel of
Sterling's weight sprawled across his body. Sterling was still
sound asleep, his breathing deep and steady. Edgar closed his eyes
and gently hugged his bedmate. He could always count on Sterling
for a rough, hard fuck and a lot of gentle affection after; he
found it a pleasant combination.

Sterling responded by holding him tighter and
snuggling his face into Edgar's neck. The half of Edgar's body not
covered by Sterling was getting cold. He gave an involuntary shiver
and Sterling grunted, waking up. He raised his head and grinned at
Edgar before gently kissing his cheek.

"Hi you," Edgar said softly. "How ya
doin'?"

"Nnmmpf," Sterling replied sleepily. "I'm
great, Edgar. How are you?"

"Fantastic," Edgar smiled, giving him a quick
peck on the lips. "A little chilly, but otherwise great."

Sterling reached over to the shelf next to
the bed and grabbed a blanket. He pulled the soft covering over
them and said, "Better?"

"Much," said Edgar, cuddling closer to
Sterling. "I'm so glad you were here tonight."

"Me too," Sterling said. "And I'm doubly glad
you found me. I really had a great time."

"So did I," Edgar answered. "How long were we
out?"

Sterling checked the wall display over
Edgar's head. "About two hours, I'd say; it's five o'clock. Sleep
felt good after that amazing sex."

"Mmmhmm," Edgar agreed. "It's always amazing
with you, Sterling."

"You too, Edgar," Sterling said. The two were
silent, enjoying the closeness. "I'm so warm and comfortable, I
could almost go right back to sleep," Sterling broke the
silence.

"I know what you mean," Edgar said. "Matter
of fact, I'm free for the night if you want to stay here." It was
common for members to stay overnight at the club; it was open 24/7
and served an amazing breakfast for those who decided they didn't
feel like going home after an evening's entertainment.

"Ah, that sounds so good, man," Sterling
said. "But I have an early client in the morning and if I stay, I'm
not gonna be able to leave without another round."

"I wouldn't be opposed to going again in the
morning, but I wouldn't want you to miss a client," Edgar said.
Sterling had a reputation of never missing an appointment and took
great pride in that fact. "Wanna grab a quick shower?"

"That sounds great! Let's go," Sterling said,
tossing off the blanket. "I really appreciate you being so
understanding."

"Of course!" Edgar said. "Your reputation is
gold and, no matter how much I love the sex, missing clients is bad
for business."

Sterling's smile lit the room. "Thanks!" he
said, moving to get up. There was a slight Velcro-like sound as
Sterling pulled away and Edgar burst out laughing. It was
infectious and soon the two were like twelve year olds laughing at
a fart joke. When they finally wound down, Sterling extended his
hand to help Edgar up. Edgar took it and Sterling pulled him in for
a bear hug.

After a quick shower, the two men dressed and
walked back to the entrance of the carnal entertainment zone.
Sterling stopped at the desk to let the attendant know he was
finished with his suite. Then he returned to Edgar, putting his
hands on Edgar's waist and kissing him softly on the lips. Edgar
returned the kiss and it slowly deepened, becoming hungry.

Edgar broke the kiss, face flushed and put
his hands on Sterling's chest. "If you kiss me like that one more
time, I will not be held responsible for my actions and you will be
late for your client. In fact, I'll do you right here in front of
the attendant."

Sterling chuckled and put his hands over
Edgar's. "You keep talking like that and I'll let you. You are so
fucking hot but, I really need to go."

Edgar gave Sterling a half-smile, a wicked
gleam in his eyes. "Exactly when is your appointment?"

"I have to be at the gym in an hour,"
Sterling said. "And I need to grab a quick bite to eat first."

"Hmmmm... Seems to me like you could grab a
to-go breakfast sandwich and eat on the magna," Edgar said,
suggestively. "What about your gear?"

"I keep extra gear at the gym and they do
have good sandwiches... What, exactly, are you thinking, Edgar?"
Sterling looked at Edgar with a combination of curiosity and
desire.

"Follow me," Edgar replied, grabbing
Sterling's hand and practically dragging him back in the direction
of the suite. As they passed the desk, Edgar called out the
attendant, "Twenty more minutes, please."

The attendant nodded and gave the men the
thumbs up. Like all the staff at Hermes, he was used to seeing such
interactions and more. He wouldn't have been surprised, nor would
he have commented, if Edgar had done Sterling at the desk.

A moment later, Edgar and Sterling were back
in the suite and Edgar dropped the other man's hand, pushing him
gently against the wall. Sterling's cock was already growing down
the leg of his tight jeans as Edgar sank to his knees.

Once again, the two men walked up to the
desk. The attendant greeted them with a smile, thanked them for
their patronage and wished them a good day. They thanked him and
left the carnal zone, passing back through the gaming room to the
lobby. Hermes staff was moving about the lobby, delivering orders
of coffee, tea and orange juice as well as plates of fruit and
piping-hot food. Edgar waved one of them over and asked for two egg
and sausage sandwiches to go. "Very good, sir," the uniformed
waiter said. "I'll be back in a few minutes."

The waiter returned as promised and the two
men walked, sandwiches in hand, to the entrance of the club. Just
before reaching the door, they stopped and shared one last hug and
a gentle, satisfied kiss. "Have a great day, Sterling," Edgar said.
"Good luck with your client!"

"Thanks, Edgar, you have a great one, too,"
Sterling replied. "Anything exciting for the day?"

"A little bit of writing, a run and who
knows? You?"

"Clients all day, 'til about six. Then I'm
catching a hyper-lift to Brazil for a few days to visit my
parents," Sterling said.

"That's great! Enjoy your trip," Edgar said.
"I always enjoyed Rio whenever I went."

"It's a beautiful city," Sterling said.
"It'll be good to see my folks, too. It's been a few months. I hope
you enjoy your day!"

"Thanks!" Edgar said. "I will."

"Same here," said Sterling. "It's always
great to see you, Edgar," he added. "Thanks for a great night!"

"You, too," Edgar said. "I always have fun
when we get together. Gimme a call when you get back from Rio;
we'll grab a bite and you can fill me in," he paused, "on your
trip, among other things."

Sterling laughed. "You are too much! I love
it! Consider it a plan." The pair turned back in the direction of
the door and began walking. When they were three feet from the
heavy oaken door, the hidden motion sensor alerted the doorman and
the door swung open.

"Good morning, sirs!" the chipper doorman
greeted them. Shift change occurred at dawn and Charles was gone,
replaced by Ben, a charming ginger with sparkling sapphire
eyes.

"Good morning, Ben!" both men said
together.

"I trust your evening was entertaining," Ben
said, the standard line for members on their way out.

"Indeed," replied Edgar. "If it'd been any
better, I'd be a puddle on the floor," he grinned.

"I couldn't agree more," added Sterling. "It
was beyond incredible."

"I'm very happy to hear that, sirs," Ben
said. "Enjoy your day!"

They thanked the doorman and walked out into
the early morning light. The clear blue sky promised a day of
perfect weather and Edgar found himself looking forward to his run.
They arrived at the magna station just as Sterling's train arrived.
"I'll call you when I get back from Rio, man," Sterling said as the
magna doors opened.

"Sounds good," Edgar said, "Safe travel!"
Sterling boarded the magna and gave Edgar a wave as the doors
whisked shut.

Edgar walked to one of the benches and sat to
eat his sandwich. His magna wouldn't arrive for another ten
minutes, plenty of time to enjoy the quick breakfast. He'd be back
at Altair Station by seven for the rest of breakfast, a quick nap
and more work on the Ch'oran piece. The sandwich lasted all of
three bites and Edgar leaned back, stretching his long legs out in
front of him. He was relieved that the magna would arrive soon;
this particular station's rush hour hit at seven-thirty. Sadly,
when he arrived at Altair Station, he'd have to contend with the
crowd as that rush hour began at seven and ran through eight.

Mmmmmm...! What a night! Sterling never
disappoints; the man was built for fucking and he's damn good at
it, too. Not to mention that he's just an all-around great guy. I'd
seriously consider making an exception to the whole relationship
thing with him, if he was into it. But, he's a confirmed bachelor.
Tomas told me that Sterling was pair-bonded once, but that it ended
badly, very badly. He wouldn't go into too much detail, but
apparently Sterling's mate had a really big issue with honesty. I
know there was an infidelity, but Tomas said it went far beyond
that.

I thought, at one point, that Sterling was
getting into me romantically, but after a few weeks of dating, he
started backing away. He told me then he didn't want a serious
involvement, y'know, that old 'it's not you, it's me' bit. The only
difference being that with Sterling, I believed him. He really
wouldn't say much about why, just the same stuff that Tomas told me
later.

We had such a good time together, I didn't
wanna just blow him off. So we had the 'let's be friends' talk.
Only we really meant it and we've stayed friends ever since. I'm
happy, he's happy and life is good. It bums me out now and again
that somewhere, deep inside, he's really hurting; but, you can only
help those who want to be helped. The few times I offered a
shoulder and a sympathetic ear, he turned me down. And on. One
time, he just put his finger on my lips, followed soon after by his
cock. Sue me, I'm easily distracted. After a while, I let it go.
When, if, he ever wants to tell me, I'll listen.

The magna came into view and Edgar stood,
tossing the sandwich wrapper into a nearby trash container. The
train pulled to a stop; after allowing a few early-bird passengers
to exit, he boarded. He took a seat near the back of the car, again
stretching out his legs. His stomach, encouraged by the small
sandwich, growled eagerly. Edgar patted it and closed his eyes,
looking forward to a stack of French toast and a pound of
bacon.

CHAPTER 11

After navigating the rush hour throng at
Altair Station, Edgar was ready for the peace and quiet of his
apartment. He'd lost track of the number of times he'd been bumped;
the Italian loafers needed a serious polishing after being stepped
on a couple dozen times and he was sure the warm, damp spot he felt
on his back was someone's coffee, not perspiration.

The closer he got to Highland House, the
thinner the crowd became until finally the building was in sight
and he was able to break out of the stream of commuters. He paused
for a moment, turning to look at the throng; he shook his head,
once again relieved that he didn't have to participate in the rat
race. He turned back to the building and headed inside, immediately
greeted by the peace of the ornate lobby. The day attendant waved a
greeting and went back to her comm conversation. Edgar returned the
wave and went to the elevator. Moments later, he was palming the
lock pad at his front door.

Once inside, he kicked off the abused loafers
and took off the Armani jacket. Holding it out in front of himself,
he inspected it and found that he'd been right: The damp spot was
slightly sticky and smelled of coffee. He took it to the laundry
center and hung it up to clean later. As an afterthought, he took
off the shirt - also stained - and the pants, hanging them up with
the jacket. The socks and briefs wound up in the hamper. A quick
stretch and Edgar left for the kitchen, intent on breakfast.

Coffee first, then food. I generally eat
like an elephant, but after a night of great sex... I eat like a
herd of elephants. Let's see...

Edgar's thoughts of food were interrupted by
an incoming call. "ID caller," he requested.

The HC complied, "Comm ID: Maddox
Bristow."

"Put him through," Edgar said, getting his
first mug of coffee and heading to the sofa.

Maddox' voice came over the speakers a few
moments later, a little breathless. Edgar guessed it was most
likely nerves. "H-hello, Edgar! I, uh, thanks for calling me back.
How are you?"

"Hi, Maddi!" Edgar replied, smiling. He
really wanted to make the boy comfortable. "I'm having a great day,
thanks. I hope you are, too. I was surprised, happily," Edgar
added, "to hear from you. I really had a good time at the
party."

"Oh wow, really? I mean, thanks! That's so
cool! I'm glad you're, uh, having a good day; mine is pretty good,
too," Maddi said.
