with

He’d

pounded
the
last

into
the

thankful
for

It hadn’t
worked,
of
course.
He’d
never

hearing
the
words,
“

The

He

to

Meeka, and
together,
th

to

with
Catz
about
Tethran.
A

Kerrigan
went
in

of
Meeka.
An
eerie
silence
filled
the
house. Every

The
kitchen

so
he
headed
to
the
nursery a

Meeka
would
be
there
with
the
babies
and
Threeo.
The
whole way

he could hear
the babies talking.

Over

over again, he
heard Meeka’s

He s

in spite

The

to

their

“

Lowering

Kerrigan

The

“

She

Kerrigan
laughed
out
loud,
looking
at
Threeo,
who

in
bewilderment.
Meeka

his

and
the

in
protest.
He couldn’t
imagine
another’s
hands
touching,
caressing,
and

“

she’ll

Kerrigan
reassured
the

“Threeo,
I

M

Do

and
responded.

“No,

Threeo

with

“

The
hairs
on
the

began
to

W

“Threeo,

Threeo
vanished
without

Kerrigan
pointed
his

at
the

“

nodded,
