Jax messes his hair. “I bet it was. Mommy will always keep you safe. Justice was right.”

Brandon nods with toothpaste dripping down his chin. “I'm going to be like Mommy when I grow up and keep the Brothers and kids safe.”

I laugh. Jax gives me a look. “I'll be proud of you for being a good Brother just like Mommy.”

“You know Daddy is a good Brother too right?”

Brandon nods. “He's like Scooby Doo. Justice said all the moms and dads are good Brothers and we have you and Daddy. Only Te Liza and Uncle Darren have two highs.” I laugh. Two highs? It hits me, two in HS.

Jax cleans his face and hugs him. “Your little Brothers are teaching you well little man.”

I clean up Stella and get her to her room spending some time signing about her day. After a few minutes Jax comes in and I go to Brandon's room. He's just about asleep, but tells me he loves me. My heart swells and tears prick my eyes. I'm so glad I was there today. What the hell would have happened if I wasn't? I don't want to imagine that. I kiss his head and stand wiping my eyes.

Jax is watching. He holds his hand out to me. I walk to it and his arms go right around me. Without saying a word, he holds me right here in the doorway. I love this man. When I relax into him he kisses my head and gives me a squeeze then turns walking us down the stairs and into our bathroom. He lets me go to set the tub running then undresses me. I hold his shoulder so he can get my boots off and think he's got nice shoulders. I scoff to myself, he's got nice everything and I love all of it. Shaking my head, I realize I was daydreaming about his bits and didn't register him undressing me. Damn I've got it bad. I kiss his lips and get in the tub.

“I'm going to lock up and shut the lights off, I'll be right back, Aquarius.” He bends and kisses my head.

When he gets to the door I tell him Aquarius doesn't do it for me. He throws me a wink over his shoulder making me smile. I relax back thinking about the day. The kids are safe and we're all happy and healthy. At some point my focus opened up to Jax and the kids. Looking at it, I'm struck with how lonely my life was until he decided he'd had enough waiting. I'm so fuckin’ glad he did. I'm getting married on Saturday to literally the man of my dreams. I should be nervous. I need to talk to Eliza; she didn't get nervous either. I don't remember Lily being nervous. Maybe it's just the way it is.

I feel his hand skate across my skin. “I love that little smile.”

Opening my eyes, I watch him get closer. I close them for his kiss. Every spot in my mouth is touched, he tangles with my tongue and I'm feeling the heat pool low in my belly. Damn he does it with just a kiss. I'm ready and make an unhappy sound as he pulls away. “We'll fix that baby girl. Give me a minute to get in with you.”

I watch him undress with his eyes never leaving mine. Damn that sexy grin is hot. I get the full smile and my breath catches. I'm marrying this beautiful man on Saturday.

He climbs in and pulls me onto his lap. I kiss him running my hands up his shoulders and into his hair scraping his scalp with my fingernails. “Fuck that sends chills down my back.” I do it again and he smiles. “Love you baby girl.” His mouth clamps down on my nipple and I moan. Shit that's nice. His arms go around me, hands on my ass, he pulls me closer and up. I slide down his length on a long moan. How does he do that? He lets my nipple go and goes for the other. My back arches sliding him in further. I try to move but he's holding me still. “Let me love you baby.” His mouth hits mine and I'm on fire. Everywhere his hands slide feels like he's leaving a trail of heat. When they hit my tits I'm rocking my hips into him trying to get more. He squeezes my nipples sending shock waves down to my pussy and I grind deeper. Fuck I'm going to come without him moving. He angles his hips up and my clit hits perfect making me moan and move faster. “Mmm, take it baby.” His lips move down my neck then he goes back up scraping his teeth against it and I explode. Holy fuck!

Jax

I hold on, loving the feel of her stroking me and watching her face relax as she lets go. Fuck that's beautiful. I lift her up and she whimpers, not happy my dick isn't buried in her. I smile and turn her around sliding back in. My hand is rolling her nipple loving the deep moan. I slide the other up to her neck and move her chin so I can kiss it. “All day I've been thinking of being buried inside you, baby.” I roll my hips and slam into her. “Just. Like. This.” I rise up with every word. Her hands grab onto mine and I know she's ready for more. I keep talking, getting louder moans as I pound into her with my lips moving on her neck and chin. When she starts stroking me, I move faster. I'll never make it twice. “Hand on your pussy babe.” She moves her hand off my arm and I know she's almost there when her pussy grabs me harder. “Feels so fuckin’ good baby. Make that sweet pussy come on my dick.” I scrape my teeth on her neck again and she's gone. As soon as she squeezes me, I'm shooting into her. Fuck. With my face buried in her hair I hold her tight waiting for her to stop stroking me and trying to catch my breath. Every fuckin’ time. “Love you, Sheila.” She grunts making me smile. My woman had a full day; she must be beat. I lift her off me and wash her quickly. She sits long enough for me to wash up then stands. I get her dry and in bed kissing her head.

On the porch I listen to Dexter playing with his toys. It's been a hell of a day. Grant gave us a run for our money. Then the kids holed up at the daycare. I was fuckin’ scared. It wasn't until Prez told us Sheila was there that I relaxed and focused on what we were doing. I never expected all this when I talked to Danny just a few months ago. He was right, she was ready to deal and needed someone to believe in her. I can't say it to the Brothers, but I'm fuckin’ proud my woman is as strong as she is. She jumped all in without looking back. Saturday she's mine. I smile – then hear a scream.

Fuck! I'm climbing the stairs two at a time. Dexter has his paws on Brandon's bed. I reach in lifting him up and against my shoulder. “Right here buddy. No one can hurt you.” I pace the room thinking this is from him seeing Sheila shoot the pussy in the closet.

“My dad always hurts us.” He cries against me.

Jesus. “He can't hurt you anymore little man. He's gone now.”

He pushes away to look at my face. “He's dead like the man today?”

What the fuck do I say here? I can't lie to him; he watched Sheila shoot him. “Yeah.”

He puts his head back on my shoulder. “Mommy made me safe before she was my mom,” he whispers and I'm not sure he's talking to me anymore.

“She'll always keep you safe. Her job is to make sure women, kids and her Brothers are safe to live their lives. That means you too.”

He nods. I kiss his head. “Can I go to bed now?” I smile. Fuckin’ kids.

“Yeah little man.” I lay him down and lean in to kiss him. “You need me just yell.”

He nods. “He can't get me no more. I'm good Daddy.” He turns over. I walk out shaking my head.

I lock the door and shut the lights off as I walk back to the bedroom. Sheila is still sleeping. Hitting the intercom, I make sure the kids' rooms are on loud enough for me to hear. Then slide in pulling her onto me. She rolls right where I want her to be. My arm goes around her, my hand on her ass, I squeeze loving how she grinds into me with that husky moan. “Love you, baby girl.”

Chapter Sixteen
Sheila

“Prez has you in Mass today. You're bringing the kids up. The 'rents will handle them. Tiny has ours.”

I nod smiling at him. He slides a coffee on the counter and takes my brush finishing the back of my hair. “Love your hair.” I do too, so I don't say anything. I think all guys like long hair, but no one ever says it. He kisses my neck sending a shiver down my back. “Done will be with Tiny until you finish with Nancy. I'll ride Danny's bike up after work and fly back with you. I want to take you and the kids to the Diner so wait for me.”

I look at his eyes in the mirror. “Fuckin’ bossy Jax is out today.”

He gives me that sexy grin. “Every day babe. You just don't care to notice. Let's go. Your ride is here.” He slaps my ass, but I'm thinking about him being bossy every day. Shit. When the hell did that happen?

He's getting the kids in when I climb in the SUV. “I'll follow you, Rover.” I nod.

I guess he's bossy when it doesn't matter. I smile. “Rover is a dog, not even a good one.”

Aaron laughs surprising me. “I didn't even notice you there.” He throws Jax chin.

“I'm your ride. Jessie pulled me to Family for the morning.” He's smiling as he gets up to the gate. Two SUVs are waiting. When the bikes show they move and we fall in line. Every SUV has two HS bikes behind it. This is a lot of fuckin’ firepower just to get to the hangar. Aaron doesn't say anymore, but I know Jessie pulling him for Family means something to him. Jessie is his older brother and everyone in the family looks up to him and Darren. Being pulled means Jessie saw what he has and approved. I'm glad we ran with him yesterday.

At the hangar we get the seats and kids into the chopper. Everyone is here and we're all smiling. Jessie hugs me. “I wouldn't let them go if you weren't with them. Be safe Sheila.” Jess and Lily hug me as soon as he lets me go.

I turn to climb up and Prez stops me. “Bob will be ready when you land. He has a Brother on each kid. Tiny said he doesn't need Done so he's out. If it doesn't work for you, tell him and he'll change them up.”

“Got it Prez.”

He touches my shoulder. “I know you do. I'm happy for you Sheila and fuckin’ proud you're one of mine. Go find a dress to shock your man.” He kisses my head and I throw him chin.

Jax is just finished tightening Brandon's belt and turns to kiss me. “Have fun, Amelia. I'll meet you for dinner.”

I crack up. “What the fuck is with Amelia? She was never found. And yeah, I'll see you tonight.”

He climbs down and turns to close the door. “I'd find you.” I laugh buckling in and putting on my cans. The kids are excited talking and waving as we lift off.

Dakota talks to the kids as we're making our way up the coast. It's a short but fun ride. Aquyà signs to Stella making sure she gets what Dakota is saying. He's a cute kid and throws me chin when I thank him. I smile at the little Badass.

Uncle Danny and Digs open the doors when the chopper blades stop. The old ladies are staying back. Mitch is bouncing in between Jess and Kate. I get Stella out and show them how to un-hook the seats. Brandon holds Stella's hand until they're lifted out. They run right to Nancy. Aquyà and Justice run to Kate and Mitch while Digs carries Teller and Phoenix to Jess. They get all the seats moved and Mitch decides they need seats up here. I laugh with Uncle Danny and Digs. She's crazy.

Since I know all the HS Brothers I don't have a problem letting the kids go. I text Prez who has each kid so it's not a concern to him. Rayne and Chet are with Brandon and Stella. I'm relieved.

Nancy drives us to the shop with Ally. Penny, Tess, Amanda and CJ are waiting. Brenda shows as I'm showing the first dress. I wish Eliza and Lily were here. They're working something for the school and daycare, but want pictures of every dress so they can give an opinion.

Tess sends all the pictures. After eight dresses I'm done. “I want the first one. Everyone likes it, it's easy to match and you already have one in Stella's size.”

Nancy smiles. “There's one more Sheila,” Brenda says.

“I'm not putting on one more fuckin’ dress. I like the first one.”

CJ laughs. “Nancy said you'd like that one.”

“Why the fuck did I have to try on all of the others?” I look at Nancy like she's crazy, because, well, she's crazy!

“I wanted you to choose it.”

I throw my hands up. “I'm changing.”

She walks toward the changing room. “I have some clothes for you. Jax is coming up. There's a cute outfit for you for dinner.”

I roll my eyes. “We're going to the Diner, Ma. I could go in farmer jeans with mud all over me.” Ally's nodding with a big smile. Nancy's eyes crinkle at the Ma. I love her.

Tess giggles from the other changing room. “Come try them on. I don't want to pick clothes alone.”

I roll my eyes again and change into the cute skirt with zippers and round pulls on it and a fitted button down shirt she has on top. She hands me socks and little biker boots. “Oh my God these are the cutest boots I've ever seen!”

Tess and CJ crack up. When I come out Penny jumps up and claps. I shake my head to a smiling Brenda. “Fiddlesticks, he's going to love that!”

We all crack up. I think Ally is going to fall out of her chair. I kiss Nancy's cheek and thank her for the clothes. She bags shit I never saw and sends the bags to the SUV. Shit. I have so many clothes now I'll need a new closet if she sends anymore.

“Do you get panties?” Penny asks.

“Yep.”

“Jiminy, Jax is good. Kate didn't say she gave him the lecture.”

Tess laughs her little musical laugh. “He called Patches for the list.”

“I want to see the fuckin’ list. They guard it like it’s gold and we're thieves.” Amanda has us all nodding.

Nancy shakes her head no. “I think it's better not to see it. It would spoil the surprise and nothing can get that back for you.”

I hug her and kiss her cheek. “You're right. I never want to see that list.”

“We need to hurry. We have nails next,” CJ says standing. I put my holster and a short jacket that matches the skirt on.

I look at them. “I need to make some time to see Marty.”

Nancy nods. “Nails then lunch. You're free from one thirty until Jax gets here.”

I feel my face heat. “Thank you. I miss you all, but want to see the kids and Ricky too.”

Brenda puts her arm around my shoulder. “We knew.”

We pile into another SUV and hit the town center. I laugh when I see Stella sitting in a seat getting her nails done. Tiny has a mask on her. Her eyes light up when she sees me. “Look at you!” I kiss her head. “I never thought I'd see you in here Tiny.”

He gives me a look. “She needs to feel special too! We got Brandon's clothes to get, so Stella gets the nails,” he booms out like I'm three streets away.

I put my hands up and move closer to him. “You're a good dad but a better grandpa.” I pull his shirt and kiss his cheek. Everyone laughs when he grumbles under his breath.

“Fuckin’ women.” He starts for the door. “Keep that mask on her. The fumes will kill her. I'll be back when she's done.”

As soon as the door closes the techs laugh. That's Tiny.

We all sit – they must have cleared their appointments for us. Tiny picks Stella up as soon as she's done. I wonder if the place is wired. I get to see her nails for ten seconds then she's out the door with him. I catch up on all the latest news and vaguely tell them about the run on the kids yesterday.

“It's a good thing you were there. People are fuckin’ nuts,” Amanda says pissed.

Everyone agrees. We head to the Seafood Shack and get a quick lunch then everyone but Ally hugs and heads off to work. I'm happy it worked the way it did. They are all awesome.

We get dropped at MC-Baxters. Ally goes to work and I get to see Marty. She takes a break and we sit chatting about everything. She still loves HS and can't stop laughing to tell me coherently the latest Mitch-Uncle Steve war. All I got was something with his office boards.

I leave her and look for Pres. He comes around his desk and hugs me. “You never realize how much you miss your kids until you see them. I'm glad you stopped by. Are you nervous?”

I smile, he's always been a dad of sorts to all the kids, but he pays special attention to the girls. “Not at all.”

He laughs. “The old ladies never are. I swear it's something in the fuckin’ water.”

“I don't drink your water Pres.”

He moves me to the couch so I sit. “Little Ben says your therapist signed off. I'm proud of you Sheila. Taking the kids on top of all you went through shows the steel running through you. Let me know if you or the kids need anything. We're all ready to help. You all moved away and we don't get the chance to do that enough.”

I laugh. “Uncle Danny had everyone down fixing the house Pres. You guys are always helping us.”

He gives me a look with his brows drawn. “Maybe it just doesn't seem like enough.”

“We're all good. When we need help we ask. Prez is just like you. He has shit done before we even know we need it.”

He smiles. I lean over and kiss his cheek. “I just wanted to see you before the wedding and let you know I appreciate you doing this for us. I have the best family. It feels good.”

His eyes soften and he kisses my head then walks with me to the door. “Anything, always.”

I smile. “Love the fuckin’ Brotherhood.” He laughs as I walk out. I really do too.

Feeling like I'm floating on air, I stop in Geek’s office for a quick hug and hi, then Uncle Steve's. Jake hugs me telling me he's with the kids. It feels good to see all my Brothers. I wave as I get buzzed into Ops. Rich hugs me saying I look great. Brothers don't usually say shit like that. I say thanks and wave to some of the techs that noticed me. He tells me about Uncle Steve’s office and Mitch making the voice recognition only respond to his high pitch. I crack up thinking that must piss him off. Mitch is the man. Walking out, my Security is waiting. I think he's S31 but I'm not sure.

I hit the school, KC, then the compound. Ricky swings me around. “Married on Saturday!” I laugh and he puts me down. “How is life with kids?”

“Awesome. I never would have believed it six months ago.”

He nods. “I'm having trouble believing it now. Darren says you're a natural.”

That feels good. “How are you? I never see you.”

I get his wicked smile. “Doing good. The kids are fuckin’ good at their jobs making life easy on me. Victor, Billy and Diego are crazy good with the programs. Everything else is just paperwork.”

“No old lady in your future?”

He ducks his head and I know there is. “I've been seeing a woman from the shelter, she's out now. We're going slow.” He doesn't say anymore.

“Bring her to the wedding so we can meet her.”

He nods, but I know it isn't happening. “The Brothers scare the shit out of her. I want you to meet her, but I don't think the wedding is a good place for that.”

“Where is she today? I'm free until Jax gets here.”

“She's in school. What are you doing for dinner?”

“The Diner.”

He smiles. “I'll meet you there. I'm happy for you Sheila. Jax is a good Brother and he's waited for-fuckin’-ever. I'm glad you gave him a shot. I don't worry about my sister knowing he's got your back.” He pulls me into him by my neck.

“Did everyone but me know he was waiting for me?”

He laughs. “Pretty much.”

“Fuck. Someone could have clued me in.”

He gets a serious look on his face. “We were going to, then the rape happened. It got dropped.” His voice gets soft. “I kept thinking if we would have told you sooner you would have been safe. I think we all thought the same way.”

I squeeze him. “I'm good Rick. I love him and I'm happy.”

He kisses my head. “We're all happy for you. “I need to get some work done so I can get out of here today. Diego is in his office. Don't leave without seeing him and Billy.”

I let him go and search for Diego and Billy. The offices down here are new, I look in the first door and Billy yells, “Sheila!” He comes around his desk and hugs me. “So fuckin’ happy to see you. I don't get down nearly enough.”

“I miss you buddy.”

“I can't believe you're getting married and have two kids. I hope they like their rooms. I had a deadline or I would have stayed.”

I nod. “They love the rooms and the slide. Uncle Danny did a great job. I can't believe it was done so fast. Thanks for helping.”

“Diego said they were happy. Mom and Dad were excited telling us all about the kids when they got back. It was nice you invited them down.”

My eyes burn and I blink. “Yeah. We needed to show them we appreciated all they did. Everyone has been so good to us.”

“We love you, She.”

I hug him tight. “Love you guys too. I need to find Diego before I leave.”

“Shit. Is Ma doing dinner?”

I think about my family. “You should all come to the Diner tonight. Let Sam know.”
