“Do you love him back? Trevor, I mean.”

“Teotwawki
,” she whispered. “Yeah. I do. Come on, let’s go out there before they send a bunch of hooligans in looking for you.”

Andrew exited the bathroom with her and she stepped aside, next to Trevor. Trevor, of course, had moved to stand with Roman, Marc, and Mistress Lauren, the redheaded Domme who always hung out with Marc when he was in the club.

Gregory stood in front of the room, looking like a groom awaiting his blushing bride. Andrew walked toward him, his small, lean body gleaming with perspiration.

“Kneel, slave.” The words were said with love, and Andrew looked so adorable kneeling in front of Gregory, looking up at him.

Gregory held a thick black leather collar in his hands. No one else would notice but Elisabeth, since she knew him so well, but he was grasping the collar tightly to keep his hands from trembling with nerves. Oh, Gregory had it bad for this kid. They were lucky to have found each other.

Elisabeth looked over at Trevor to see what he thought of it, and he squeezed her hand.

“Andrew,” Gregory said, his voice loud enough to be heard by the people around them in the club. The music had been turned down and everyone seemed fixated on the pair. “With this collar, I promise to take care of you, to love you, and to discipline you. A lot.”

At this, everyone laughed. That was Gregory, for sure.

“It’s your turn, sweetheart,” Gregory said, looking down on Andrew with a look of love in his eyes Elisabeth had never seen before from him. She knew that look because it was how Trevor looked at her.

Andrew cleared his throat. “I accept your collar gratefully, Master. I will respect and obey you and I will try to be the best slave I can be.”

“Works for me,” Gregory said jovially, and attached the collar around Andrew’s neck, locking it into place. Andrew beamed up at him and they kissed to the sounds of the other club patrons cheering.

Elisabeth cheered too, surprised to find herself getting teary-eyed at the ceremony. Trevor pulled her in close to him, and they kissed as well.

“I can’t do this,” Roman muttered from behind them.

Fuck.

Elisabeth turned around quickly, only to see him walking down the hallway toward the exit. “Please, Roman, stop. Wait.”

Roman turned around, his hair falling loose out of its ponytail. He looked as devastatingly handsome as ever even though he hadn’t shaved in days.

“You’ll find someone of your own, Roman. I know you will.”

“I thought it was you.” His voice caught in his throat. “I really did.”

The tears that had been blurring her vision since the collaring ceremony spilled down her cheeks at the pain in his words. She shook her head and kissed his scratchy cheek.

“No, sir. It’s Trevor. It’s been always been Trevor, in my heart.”

Roman left the club, taking a tiny piece of her soul with her.

He was right, they were the same . . . which was why they could never be together. She needed the sunlight and the laughter and the balance that Trevor brought to her life.

And then Trevor was behind her, hugging her as she watched the door Roman had shut between them.

“He’ll find someone,” she whispered. “I’ll make sure of it.”

Alone in the hallway, Trevor pulled her close and let her cry. “Can I try to cheer you up?”

“Yes,” she whispered.

“Say ‘yes, sir.’ ”

Drying her eyes with the back of her hand, she straightened her shoulders and smiled at him. He always knew exactly what she needed when everything seemed to spiral out of control around her. Order. Discipline.

“Yes, sir. I would love for you to cheer me up.”

“Well, I happen to know how much you like gold,” he whispered, and gently fingered the gold nipple jewelry she wore beneath her top at his request.

“I do, sir.”

“I have two more pieces of gold for you tonight. Would you like to see them?”

“Anything from my Master is an honor, sir.”

Trevor’s smile lit up his face. God, he was so fucking handsome. Carefully, he pulled a Tiffany box out of his jacket.

“Open it.”

She opened the tiny blue box. A delicate gold chain rested inside on velvet. “Sir,” she breathed. It was beautiful.

“This is your collar. I want you to wear it always and know that you are mine. Are you mine, Elisabeth?”

“Always, sir.”

“Turn around so I can put it on you, then.”

She obeyed, her whole body buzzing with excitement as Trevor’s large hands clasped her collar into place. It was different from the thick leather collar she’d worn in the past, but it was more fitting for her relationship with Trevor.

“I love it,” she whispered.

“And I love you,” he said. “Turn around.”

She turned on her heel, and gasped to see him kneeling before her, with another small box, open in his hand. A ring.

“I wanted to propose properly. Will you do me the honor of being my wife?”

“Yes, Trevor, sir, yes!” She held her trembling left hand out and watched as he slipped the huge, brilliant-cut diamond surrounded by sparkling blue sapphires onto her ring finger. She’d never seen a more beautiful ring in her life.

Or a more beautiful man.

Trevor stood, lifting her into his arms, and they kissed. As master and slave, as lovers, as friends. And soon, as husband and wife.

To be continued . . .

Bad Boy Marc Wilde can’t help his attraction to his best female friend, the Dominatrix Mistress Lauren. When she loses a bet and ends up his slave for a week, will Mistress Lauren be able to put her dominance aside to be Marc’s submissive . . . and lover?
