Over the next
three months Prissy quickly settled into her new home with Austin and her new role as his fiancé. Yes, the two were in love and enjoyed a sandwich or two daily. There was just one problem. Prissy had yet to commit to a tentative wedding date, nor had she made one single wedding plan. In fact she hadn’t even bothered to identify her bridesmaids. Naturally EJ would be her Maid of Honor. Still Prissy hadn’t even bothered to even confirm that. Frankly she was too busy enjoying sandwich after sandwich to even care. Then one call from EJ and everything changed.
“Hey, how are you doing?” EJ nervously asked Not sure if Prissy had heard the news.
“Um… Not much just lying around the house… Why? What’s up? Do you need me to watch the girls while you go out? It cools… Hell, they can even spend the night if you want to spend the night with Matias.”
“Yeah, thanks for the offer, but that is not even going to happen. I’m not even close to that bullshit yet.”
“Why is it bullshit? Sooner later you’re going to have to let somebody excavate that dry hole were your pussy use to be.” Prissy laughed.
“Yeah, that’s kind of funny, but I’m not laughing. And neither will you be when I tell you what I have to tell you. I need to talk to you over here, alone.”
Prissy immediately set up. “Is everything okay? What is it?”
“Come over and we’ll talk about it.” EJ remained vague.
“Last time that happened I was ambushed.”
“Pretty much that’s what’s going to happen this time.”
“Fuck! Are you serious? When did he get here?”
“He’s been here an hour. I told him you were out shopping. He’s playing Dance Central with the girls. He said it’s urgent that he talk to you. What do you want me to do?”
“I’ll be right there.” Prissy said as she got up and prepared to leave.
“Okay. I’ll let him know.” EJ said before hanging up.
“Your Teddy Bear back?” Austin asked as he got off the couch to follow her to the door.
Prissy looked at the hurt in his eyes. “It’s not like that Austin.” She offered.
“Like what?”
“Like you think.”
“What am I thinking? Huh Prissy?” Austin asked as he scanned his beautiful fiancé and pleaded with his eyes for her not to go.
“Nothing’s going on. Bear and I are just friends.” She sighed. “Please don’t start.”
“Friends, huh?” Austin nervously chuckled. “That’s funny because you and I were friends, for five years before we got engaged. Yeah… And the fringe benefits of being your friend are simply phenomenal.”
“Look, if you have something to say then just say it.” Prissy became irritated. “If not, I have to go to see what he wants.”
“Oh, I’ll tell you what Teddy wants. He wants the same fucking thing he always wants. He wants to fuck my woman and I’m not fucking having it this fucking time!” Austin snapped.
“Teddy and I are just friends!” Prissy retorted. “We’ve been friends since we we’re eleven. I’m sorry if that bothers you, but you better learn how to fucking deal with it!”
“Parisa, I am not going to stand idly by and let him fuck you at will right in my fucking face! Do you think I’m fucking stupid and shit? Fuck that shit! This fucking bullshit ends now. We are getting married. When… I don’t know, because you won’t set a date. Still, when we do I want children and I’d like the luxury of being confident that they’re mine and not Teddy’s!” Austin snorted.
“FUCK YOU! Who the fuck do you think you are to talk to me that fucking way? I fucking said that Teddy and I are not fucking! If I wanted
to be with Teddy, I’d never have accepted your proposal. So, I’m going to say it one more damn time cause I want to make sure that you hear me. Okay? I am not still fucking Teddy! Okay? And I would never! Never! Cheat on my husband!”
“See that’s the thing… You are not my wife. And at the rate that we’re going you probably never will be! I asked you to marry me almost five months ago and you haven’t made a single damn wedding plan… Not fucking one! What the fuck am I supposed to think when this man flies in from the US every damn three months like clockwork? Huh Parisa?”
“You know what Austin? I don’t really give a fuck what you think! You got me twisted with some of those other gold digging tricks you’re use to fucking. I don’t need your fucking money, so I don’t have to put up with your monkey shit!”
“How is it monkey shit that I want my fiancé to stop fucking her ex!”
“I’m fucking not fucking Bear! And I wasn’t finished. I don’t need to marry you or anybody else because I’m fucking rich! I own my own investment company that just went public. I have a two million dollar inheritance from my brother’s estate. And I have a ten million dollar trust from none other than Teddy Bear Davine! Okay, so I don’t need your damn money!” Prissy screamed becoming very emotional.
Austin watched her unravel and decided to soften his tone. “Parisa I never said you wanted my money. I know you don’t love me for my money.”
“That’s my damn point Austin! If I don’t love you for your money then why am I marrying you? Huh?” Austin didn’t say a word. “Maybe… Just maybe… I’m marrying you because I love you! Did you once consider that? Did I chase you down and brow beat you to ask me to marry you? Huh? No! No, I didn’t! You asked me and threatened to leave me if I wasn’t prepared to take our relationship to the next level. So I did… I said yes… Don’t fucking make me regret it!”
“Parisa, I’m sorry… It’s just… How am I supposed to feel? I can’t compete with that damn man! He’s like a God to you! And you know it… What am I suppose
d to think and do when he keeps showing up and you keep running off?”
“Austin, I’m just going across the damn street. Okay? I’m just going to EJs to talk to him, that’s all. Please don’t make this an issue. Okay? I love you and you know that. I’m not sleeping with Bear. Okay?” Prissy softened her tone as well after understanding her fiancés frustration. Seeing tears in his eyes she gently hugged him and sampled his lips. “I have to talk to him.”
“You talk to him every day. What’s so important that he flew to the UK to talk about?” Austin complained.
“I don’t know, but I have to find out. Okay?”
“I’m sorry Parisa. I didn’t mean to…” Austin tried to apologize, but Parisa smothered his mouth with a searing hot kiss.
Caught up he grabbed her by her hair and sucked the air out of her lungs. Their tongues dueled fiercely and his won. Snatching his mouth from hers he confessed. “I trust you, but I
’m coming with you. It’s time that we meet face to face.”
“Austin, I don’t think that’s such a good idea.”
“I know it’s not a good idea, but I have to do it. If he’s your friend and I’m going to be your husband then we have to meet sooner or later, it might as well be now. Besides, I deserve to see what’s holding you back from marrying me. So, I’m going with you and nothing you say is going to stop me.”
Prissy knew by the determination in his face that it was fruitless to try to stop him. “Okay, just don’t start anything. Teddy is a keg of TNT with no damn fuse when it comes to me.”
“Hey, do I look like a damn fool. I’ve seen him on ESPN, that’s a big mother fucker!” Austin chuckled.
“Wait until you see him in person… Towering over you, snorting, looking like the
Not So Jolly Green Giant!
Bear would rather somebody stick their dick in his mouth than to fuck with me. So, I can say with absolute confidence that he won’t be very happy to see you.” Prissy snickered.
Austin’s eyes widened as he considered his decision to face Teddy. “Maybe I should just wait until the wedding.” He back peddled.
“You’ll be okay. I’m just kidding around. You’re right… I think it’s time for the two of you to finally meet.” Parisa assured him as she sampled his lips. “Let’s go.”
“Sure let me get my wallet. My insurance card and next of kin info is in it. You’ll probably need it.” He nervously joked.
“Yeah… I probably will.” Prissy snickered
Teddy knew he was as wrong as a lactating bull showing up to see Prissy unannounced, but he really didn’t give a damn. He had to talk to her. He realized she was in the point in her life were she wanted to move on and he was determined to allow her to take a shot at a life without him. Still, he needed to be sure that this was what she really wanted before he moved on as well.
Besides he missed Prissy. Yeah, they spoke on the phone
almost daily, but it wasn’t the same. Prissy had a calming, normalizing effect on Teddy. Try as he might Teddy was still in love with Prissy and unfortunately no force on this or any other planet was strong enough to change that fact.
“I just spoke to Prissy. She said she’ll be right over.” EJ announced.
“Oh… Okay, good.” Teddy responded as he continued to play with the girls.
Moments later Prissy and Austin entered. Teddy’s face lit up like the White House Christmas tree the second he saw the stunning woman enter the house.
As you can probably imagine his countenance quickly changed as he spotted Austin with her. Caught in a dance off with his nieces he continued to dance showing little to no emotion.
“Hey what’s up Priss?”
“Not much. What brings you to Paris?”
“Give me a second until this song goes off and I’ll be right with you.
Somebody told these to wrong. They think they can out dance me in Dance Central, but they’re going to learn today.” He chuckled. “Ah… here we go! I got you now!”
“Uncle Teddy, that’s not fair!” Paris complained as Teddy did a move that scored him extra points.
Rolling his hips he continued to score extra points and mesmerize the on looking Prissy.
“Ah! You two going to learn today!” He laughed as Paris and Parisa stepped up their game and matched his moves.
Prissy watched as the super sexy NFL Super Star danced with the girls. She had almost forgotten just how good of a dancer
Teddy was. He looked like a juicy order of sex on a damn stick and she was starving. Noticing that she was intently watching Teddy added a little extra sexiness to each and every moved just to fuck with her. It worked Prissy had to look away to keep from drooling. Austin took a seat and watched her as she busied herself with her mail which was still being delivered to EJ’s house.
Finally the music stop and Teddy was forced to officially greet Prissy and her handsome new fiancé.
“One more Uncle Teddy!” Parisa begged.
“Okay in a minute. Uncle Teddy has to talk to Aunt Prissy. Practice awhile… You’re going to need it.” He said as he kissed his nieces and sent them off to play.
His eyes met Prissy’s and he knew she was struggling and pleading for him to behave. He nodded to indicate that he would. “Hey what’s up man? You must be August, Prissy’s fiancé. Nice to meet you.”
Now of course Teddy knew his name was Austin. He agreed to play nice, not to be a saint. Prissy tried not to snicker as she remembered the Diego incident. “Austin. His name is Austin. Austin this is Teddy.”
“Good to meet you man. I’ve heard a lot about you from the girls. They can’t stop talking about their Uncle Teddy.” Austin smiled as he offered Teddy a handshake of friendship.
Teddy chuckled.
“Well, everybody loves a Teddy Bear, right Miss Priss?”
Priss knew he was fucking with her so she let it fly by. “So what brings you here. Is everything okay?”
“Damn can I get a hug?” He laughed as he pulled her into his arms and smothered her with a bear hug that lifted her from the ground. “God, I’ve missed you!” He breathed into her ear before kissing her lips.
Her eyes met his and pleaded for him to play nice just this one damn time. His eyes searched her face and affirmed that he would. “I missed you too. How long are you going to be here?” She asked as he reluctantly put her down and released her.
“Couple or days. Not really sure yet, it kind of depends.”
“
On what? What’s going on? Are you in trouble?”
Teddy laughed. “No, not really. Why would I be in trouble?”
“EJ said that you needed to talk to me about something urgent. I just assumed that something was going on.”
“Yeah, I do. August do you think that I can talk to Priss alone for a few minutes.”
“It’s actually Austin… No I don’t mind. Go ahead.”
“Sorry about that.” Teddy apologized. “Thanks man.
Priss walk with me for a minute.”
“Is somebody dead? Because if they are just please tell me right here.”
“Everybody’s fine. I just need to talk to you about something. Stop worrying and just go for a walk with me.”
“Okay. Austin, I’ll be right back.” She started to kiss him goodbye, but decided not to press her luck.
However, Austin felt the need to impress upon the arrogant Teddy Bear that Prissy was his woman and he really didn’t give a fuck what Teddy thought of it. Standing to walk her to the door he pulled her into his arms and kissed her hard and deep right in front of Teddy. “Take as much time as you need, baby.”
Priss nodded that she understood. Teddy looked at Austin and gave him a patented,
Bitch Please look,
as he waited patiently for Prissy.
~*~*~
Teddy and Prissy walked for about a block in complete silence, both afraid to tackle the elephant that loomed overhead. Finally Teddy decided to speak. “Austria seems nice.”
Prissy burst into laughter. “You are a real damn ass! You know that right. Stop calling that man out of his name. For the last time his damn name is Austin! What are you doing here anyway?”
Teddy stopped midstride and just looked at her. “What do you think I’m doing here?”
“No! Oh come on Bear… Seriously? We went through this the last time you were here and you promised you wouldn’t do this to me.”
“Priss that was then and this is now, things change. People change… Hell, I’ve changed for that matter.”
“Oh yeah, into what Bear? Huh?”
“Into whatever you need me to be Miss Priss.”
“A good and faithful husband… Can you change into that?”
Teddy took Prissy by the hand and pulled her into his arms. Struggled to pull from his embrace but he held her fast. His eyes searched her soul and asked, “Priss can you give me just one more chance to be your man. I swear, I’ll do right by you this time. I got a little over a year left on my contract and then I’ll move to Paris with you. I just need you in LA with me until then.”
Priss could tell that he was sincere. He was always sincere when he asked for another chance. The problem was that Teddy’s dick just couldn’t, or wouldn’t do what his heart desperately wanted him to do. Unfortunately, Prissy instinctively knew that this time wouldn’t be any difference than the countless others.
“I know you mean it and you know that my hearts, heart wants to, but I can’t do it, not this time.”
“Why? Why can’t you? You love this guy more than me?”
“God, how I wish that was true. It would make everything so easy for me. The truth is I have been engaged for almost six damn months and still haven’t been able to set a date. I knew this was going to happen and I wanted to leave myself an easy escape route for when it did. Now, that you’re here, saying everything that I thought I wanted to hear, I realize that I can’t. This is the exact position that we’ve been in countless time except for one thing. I have others depending on me to make the right decision.”
“What others?” Teddy asked confused.
“EJ, the girls and Austin to name a few,” she quickly answered.
“EJ and the girls love me.”
“You’re right they do, but every time you pull some bullshit that hurts me they’re the ones who have to see me cry. Besides Bear, I have to be an example for my nieces. I can’t let them see that it’s okay to allow a man to treat you like you’ve treated me. They need to know that love doesn’t have to come with baggage and pain. Is this the type of relationships you want for them?”
“I would fuck somebody up if they even thought about treating them like that.” Teddy snorted.
“Exactly! And that is exactly how Paul felt! I finally get it! It wasn’t that he didn’t want us together. It was more that he knew that we were no good together. I get it now. I owe it to him to make sure his daughters know that it’s not okay to settle for sloppy seconds.”
“Miss Priss you know that you’ve always been first and foremost in my life.”
“Maybe, but I still had to deal with Mye Queen’s sloppy seconds for years.” Prissy retorted.
“Mye Love, she married your boy Chris. Remember? You remember him don’t you?”
Prissy looked at Teddy in disbelief. “I don’t even believe you had the fucking audacity to take it there. Unfucking believable!”
“You hurt me!”
“You hurt me more Bear! That’s why we are here and that’s why I’m saying no!”
“I want to have some children and get married Priss.” Teddy softened. “I’m ready. Give me one more chance to prove it to you.”
“I want the same thing Bear. I just don’t have the luxury of expecting that it will ever happen with you.”
Teddy stared I Prissy for a long breath and sighed. “I’m sorry you feel that way.”
“I’m sorry too.”
“I never meant to hurt you Priss. I’m fragmented. I guess I’m too damaged to be loved.” H
is emotions formed a lump in his throat and choked him with his own words.
“You know that’s not true. Don’t even think like that.” Prissy said as she wiped a tear from the corner of his eye. “Besides, it’s a big world. I’m sure there’s somebody, somewhere who’s not familiar with your particular brand of monkey ass shit.” She teased.
Teddy chuckled. “Yeah, I’m sure there is, but honestly most women would be happy to put up with it. I’m fine as a mother fucka!”
Prissy snickered. “That you are. You’ll get no argument from me on that fact.”
Teddy engaged her eyes as he leaned in for a kiss. Prissy allowed it. He sampled her lips briefly before kissing her forehead. “I love you Parisa Crown. I always have and I always will.”
Parisa nodded that she understood. She couldn’t bring her mouth to say the same. Her emotions rose quickly and choked her. “
Ditto.” She somehow managed.
Teddy understood. He knew how she felt about him. There was never any question about her love for him. Now, he had to love her enough to allow her to move on and be happy. In order for that to happen he had to move on as well.
“Now that we’ve cleared that up, I just need to tell you something before you hear it through the media.”
“Seriously Bear? Another paternity suit? Is this one finally yours? You know what I don’t even want to hear it.” Prissy laughed. “You’re a world class ass!”
“Hell no! There’s no paternity suit. Well, at least not one I know about. That’s not what I was going to tell you.”
“What is it then?”
“I’m thinking about signing a contract to do a reality show similar to the Bachelor or the Flavor of Love.”
“A dating show? Why the hell would you do that? Don’t you get enough pussy?” Prissy asked confused.
Teddy hesitated. “Well, you of all people know that I get more than my fair share. Actually, I’m looking to settle down and have a family.”
Prissy looked at Teddy and burst into laughter. “Bitch Please! Are you serious?
You’re kidding right?”
“No, I’m serious.”
“Oh my God, that’s hilarious!”
“It’s not that damn funny, Priss!”
Teddy responded as he watched her double over with laughter. “That’s why I came to propose to you.”
Prissy laughed even harder. “OMG! This is the funniest shit I’ve heard all year. Teddy Bear Davine is looking for a wife on reality TV. Oh this shit is going to be funny as hell! I can’t wait until it airs.”
Now most of you are familiar with the term laughing to keep from crying, right? Well, I don’t need to say more. It was funny only because Prissy could not conceive of it ever happening. Only time would tell.
