He held up his hand, motioning for her to hold up as he listened to Brittany. Then he burst out with a loud, “Why you fuckin’ with me? You know I always wrap my shit up.”

“Well, well, well,” Angel mumbled.

“Like I said, I always wrap my shit up. Who else you been fuckin’?” Then after a pregnant pause he continued, “C’mon, Britt. You know I’ma find out. If it’s mines, it’s mines. I’ll always take care of mines. But, if you’re pregnant, chances are it’s not. I always wrap my dick up, and you know that.”

Angel tried to get off the bed, but Kay stopped her. Then he turned off his phone and threw it on the nightstand.

“Red, you know that’s bullshit right? Where are you goin’?” he asked.

“To the shower. Looks like your whoring around is catching up with you.”

“I know you ain’t got no attitude. Who’s side are you on?”

“My man’s, of course. And my man has until Monday to get a new cell number or make all them bitches stop calling. The same with your pager. It’s on top of the refrigerator.” Then she turned around and asked, “Any other babies’ mamas I should know about?”

“I only got one baby. That chicken is playing games.”

“You need to watch where you stick your dick, playa. I’m sure she wasn’t a chicken when you started pluckin’ her.”

“Yes, she was.”

“Trife. Like I said, get them bitches to stop calling. And I better not catch you and Miss Britt in the same room together.”

“Listen to you, threatening me!” Kay smiled as he followed her into the shower.

She got dressed and wore a Prada sundress and matching sandals. Kay threw on some sweats and a cutoff, sleeveless T-shirt. He slid on some slippers to walk her to the Lex.

“Tell me again your agenda for today,” he said, opening the door for her.

“The salon, cleaner’s, grocery store, and I want to clean the apartment I haven’t seen in over three weeks.”

“You comin’ back, right?” he asked, running his fingers through her hair.

“I wasn’t planning on it. It’s going to be too late for me to drive all the way back up here.”

“Girl, stop playin’. Just leave early enough. You know I like for you to be here when I get in,” he said, sniffing her perfume.

“I’ve already told you to move your stuff in. It would be much more convenient for you and convenient for me.” He lifted her up onto the seat and stood between her legs.

“Kay, I have a dress on,” she said, trying to pull it down some. “I’ll call you later.”

“You don’t have to call me. Just have your fine ass here when I get home,” he ordered. “Next weekend I’m coming to pack you out of that apartment.”

“Before you try to pack me up, you need to handle your business.”

“You are my business.”

“I’m talking about all them bitches you got calling Kaylin.”

“I know what you’re referring to, but I hope you ain’t trippin’ over that bullshit.”

“No, I’m not tripping,” she stated matter-of-factly.

“Then what? You jealous?”

“Jealous? Why should I be jealous? I’m the one pushing the Lex and sleeping in your bed every night. I’m the one you bonin’ just about every day and trying to get to move in. I’m the one you have to have lying in your bed waiting for you whenever you decide to come home. Why should I be jealous?”

“I was just making sure you know what time it is, because

you’re right. Ain’t nobody got it like you. It’s only you.”

“It’s just disrespectful, Kay. You’re my man. I should be the

only bitch blowing up your pager and cell phone. And it better

be only me! So put an end to the bullshit that’s all I’m asking.” “Sounds a little like jealousy to me,” he said, sliding a hand up her thigh and rubbing her pussy through her panties.

“Call it what you want, playboy. Just handle your business,” she said, trying to move his hand. “Kaylin, I gotta go.”

“I’ma let you go in a minute. I know I can get a kiss before you leave,” he said, scooting her to the edge of the seat, moving her panties to the side and playing with her clit.

She sucked on his tongue and lips. “You said a kiss, Kay.” She tried to move his hand.

“You shouldn’t have put on this dress,” he said in between kisses on her neck and lips. “Don’t this feel good?” he whispered, pressing her clit with his thumb.

She wrapped her arms around his neck and started grinding real slow. “You are so wrong. Now I’m going to have to wash up again and change clothes.”

“Look at me and tell me it feels good.”

“Yes, it feels good,” she said, looking at him.

“Tell me you’re not jealous.”

“I’m not jealous.”

He pressed down harder, making her want to grind a little faster. She closed her eyes. “Open your eyes and look at me.” She did. “You and my son are the only two people I’m concerned with. It’s all about y’all. You understand? Don’t sweat the bullshit. I belong to you.”

“What happens when you get tired of fuckin’ me Kaylin?”

“Fuck. You really know how to kill a mood don’t you?!” Pulling his fingers out of her pussy. “You’re my woman Red,” he snapped, pounding the roof of the Lex. “I didn’t spend fifty-five grand on someone I could get tired of. I can fuck for free. You said you wanted a lifetime partner. I’m willing, able, and trying to be that. I know it’s hard to believe, but I told you a brotha can be true.”

Angel couldn’t even say anything.

He was staring at her.

“Don’t start no shit Red.”

“Alright. Alright Kaylin. You’re the one getting all mad and shit.”

“That’s because I was trying to get some pussy and you talking all that bullshit.” He placed her hand on his dick and she began squeezing it. “Put it in for me.” His voice was now raspy.

“It’s daylight, Kaylin,” she said, looking around.

“This is my driveway. Nobody can really see what I’m doing unless they got fuckin’ binoculars,” he said, pulling his dick out and sliding it inside her. “I’m just standing here. Make me cum while I watch.”

She wrapped her legs around his waist, leaned back and went to riding him. He had both hands on her butt, squeezing it, and was watching her every move and trying not to cum. “Baby this feels ... you so wet and tight. Go a little faster for me. I’m about to let loose,” he groaned.

“Damn it Kay! Please say you got on a condom,” she hollered as she came. Kay squeezed her butt, pulling her even closer, and went in as deep as he could. He came long and hard.

“Oh, shit!” he said, putting his dick back in his sweats and resting all of his weight on her. “That was on,” he said, tonguing her down.

She slid her hands down his pants. “Damn you, Kay! I can’t believe I let you get away with that,” she said, pounding him on the arm.

“Baby, I didn’t do it on purpose.”

“Oh God, please don’t let me get pregnant,” she prayed. “I gotta get on the pill or get that shot in my arm, like yesterday,” she whined.

He lifted her out the car, pulling down her dress, which was now wet. “That was only one time. You’re not pregnant.”

“You don’t know that Kay,” she said, holding his hand and leading him toward the house.

“Stop worryin’. We done broke the Lex in. I’ll go clean the seat off while you jump in the shower.”

When she got out the shower she came downstairs in jeans and a belly shirt. As Kay was on the phone she mouthed, “Keys?” He felt his back pocket, took them out, and handed them to her.

“You look cute ma,” he said, after he hung up.

“Papi I’m running late,” she said, taking the keys out of his hand and kissing those irresistible lips. “You are too sweet. I hate to admit it, but you are.”

“Why you hatin’ on a brotha? I tell you how sweet you are all the time. I’m not even ashamed to say that I got a jones, either.” He was trying to hug her around her waist.

“Bye Kay,” she said, breaking away from him.

“Oh, it’s like that?” he asked, following her out to the car.

“Don’t touch me Kay. I can climb up all by myself.” She held him back, sticking her arm out. He moved her arm, swooped her up, and put her in the seat. She laughed as he shut the door. She started the engine and rolled down the window.

“So you feel safe from me now, huh?” he asked, counting out seven hundred dollars and handing it to her. “Is that enough for you to do all the shit you need to do?”

“Yup. It’s more than enough.” She reached over and kissed him.

“Do you love me?” he asked her.

She nodded yes. “Do you love me?” she asked him.

“Yes, I do. It’s all about you. Be careful and drive safe.”

Chapter 20

Tasha came home from work around 5:30. The Nav was parked out front. When she got inside she found Trae buried under the covers and snoring. She closed the bedroom door and went to the kitchen to start dinner. She decided to prepare salmon steaks, with baked potatoes, fresh string beans, a tossed salad, and some biscuits.

She didn’t finish cooking until after 7:00, and Trae was still asleep. But when his cell phone rang, he reached over and snatched it off the nightstand.

“Yeah,” he answered. “It don’t matter. No. Nah. We’ll switch up then, a’ight.” He hung up, rolled over, and looked at Tasha. “Please tell your man that’s you cookin’.”

“My man, that’s me cookin’, and it’s done,” she said, smiling. “I knew I married you for a few good reasons.” He looked at his watch. “How are you? How was your day?”

“I’m good. My day was good. How are you?”

“I’m straight since I’m gettin’ ready to get fed.” He got up and went to the bathroom. By the time he came out, she was lying on the bed. She raised her arms.

“Help me up.”

He dived next to her and gave her a big, sloppy kiss on the lips. Then he lifted her T-shirt and kissed her several times on the stomach.

“I love ya’ll,” he told her.

“We love you too.”

He pulled her up off the bed and went to the living room. Tasha went into the kitchen to fix their plates. They plopped down on the living room sofa where they ate and watched TV. Afterwards they took a nice, long, hot bath together. Then it was time for the lovemaking.

Ever since Angel told her how Kaylin tied her up Tasha wanted the same done to her. So Trae used this opportunity to tie her wrists and ankles to the bedposts and licked her up and down, making her come three times. And she never even asked to be untied, girlfriend could hang. After untying her he made her climb on top where she rode the dick until she came two more times. She had no more strength after that, other than to roll over and doze off, waking up an hour later to find that Trae had showered and was getting dressed.

“You gotta leave?” she whined, sitting up in the bed. “Yeah, I gotta go.”

“Come here,” she motioned to him. He sat next to her, and she took his hand and placed it on her belly. After a few seconds the baby moved again. She giggled. “Can’t you stay?”

He shook his head no. “I love you and our baby,” he told her in between kisses. “Throw on your robe or something and come into the living room.”

When she stepped into the living room, Trae had an open briefcase sitting on the coffee table. He grabbed her around the waist and kissed her on the bruise that was left from the bite mark. He started laughing.

“It’s not funny, Trae. People keep asking me what happened to my cheek.”

His cell phone rang and he immediately flipped it open. “Yeah, I’m on my way down,” he answered. He closed his cell and turned to the briefcase.

“This briefcase contains all the titles to my property, cars, bank statements, PIN numbers, combinations to all the safes, everything. There is also a power of attorney form in there, giving you the authority to do whatever you need to do.

“Only one bank account is in my name, the others are in yours. The stock certificates, bonds, and CDs are in that green envelope. My lawyer’s number is stapled to the envelope if you have any problems. If you don’t hear from me in a couple days, I want you to go clean out the safes in all the property except for the apartment in PA. That’s the only safe spot that you’ll be able to stash shit at. The keys to everything is labeled and in the briefcase.”

Tasha was speechless. Her knees were about to give out, and she could barely breathe.

“Tasha, are you listening? You got all of that?” A horn was blowing up outside.

“Baby, what’s going on? You are scaring me!”

“If you have any problems, call my attorney. I gotta go.” He kissed her on the bruise again.

“What the fuck you mean, if I have any problems, Trae?” She grabbed his shirt. “Where are you going?” she screamed, tears rolling down her cheeks.

“This is the end, baby. We wrap this shit up tonight.”

“No. Fuck that. Just walk away Trae. You don’t have to go any

where,” she cried. “It’s no such thing to wrap it up, walk away.” “What are you crying for?” he asked, wiping her tears. “Because you’re not coming back Trae. I’m not stupid. That’s

why you left me all of that shit. I don’t want it, I want you instead,” she said, kicking the coffee table over.

“I’ll be back. I’m giving you this stuff just in case ... but I’ll be back.”

“No you won’t! You even made love to me like you won’t be back. God Trae! You promised me.” She was crying and holding him tight. “Please Trae, don’t do this to me. To us.”

“I’ll be back.” He kissed her on the forehead and broke free then went toward the door. She jumped in front of him and blocked his path. That damn car horn was blowing up again.

“Baby you don’t have to go. I got money put away. You got enough money. Don’t go baby, please.” She was shaking. “You said you wouldn’t leave me. You promised you wouldn’t do this to me.”

“I’m not leaving you Tasha. I’m just going to take care of this little bit of business. He tried to pull her from in front of the door, but she had her back pressed to it, her hands covering the knob.

“Trae don’t do this to us. I’m beggin’ you.” He picked her up. She wrapped her arms around his neck, holding on tight. “You’re my husband baby.”

“Ma let me go. I’ll be back.” He kissed her on the forehead. “You’re lying Trae. You promised me. Please don’t leave. I love you Trae,” she pleaded.

“I love you too, but you’re gonna have to let me go if you want me to come back.” He broke away from her grip and opened the door.
