I still vividly remember my first Women of Faith conference. The year was 2001, and a fairly new friend asked if I might like to go. I thought it would be a great opportunity to hear dynamic speakers who would make me laugh as well as cry, to experience amazing worship alongside thousands of other women, and to bond in a deeper way with my friend. The conference surpassed my every expectation.

I could look around that Dallas arena and know I wasn't alone. There were other women who were hungry to know God and walk out a life of faith, but who didn't have it all together. It was okay to be vulnerable, to laugh at ourselves, to realize we cweren't expected to have it all together—that God's grace and love would see us through.
