looked over at Shane and Lacey. They were so in love and would be parents in
the fall. So much was changing and in a very good way.

Now
she could focus her attention on her last remaining single son, Rory. He stood
watching all the couples now milling around on the dance floor. She saw longing
in his face.
Longing for a woman that he could call his own.
Just the other week she’d brought up the topic of him maybe settling down, but
he’d insisted he was too old, too set in his ways for a wife and family. But a
mother knows best.
