When Clay told her they had dinner plans, Lily had thought it would be a small group filled with his band mates and maybe a few friends. It wasn’t.

She looked around the room, this was no intimate dinner, but a banquet hall filled with people. Too many people to see her, to remember her, she hadn’t realized when she agreed, but wished she had, her feet hesitated.

Clay stopped, looking down at her, smiling. His fingers tightened against her waist. “You will do fine.”

She glanced up at him, returned his smile, her fingers easing on her purse strap.

They sat at a table filled with his band mates with her between Clay and his best friend, the singer, Tom.

Tom was a tall blue-eyed blond with mischievous eyes and he greeted her with a warm smile. Tom introduced her to his girlfriend, Sara, a petite hot looking blond. Lily smiled, shaking hands.

Clay introduced the rest of the group. Kevin, the drummer, was tall with light brown hair and a little husky. Scott, the bassist, was tall, too, but not as tall as the others, his sandy blond hair cut short, and Scott’s wife, Melissa, who had black hair and was extremely pretty.

Lily hit it off with Melissa right away, making small talk. Shivers ricocheted along her nerves as Clay placed his arm along the back of her chair. His fingers stroked her neck as he talked with his friends, almost as if he didn’t realize what he was doing.

She wished he would stop. She didn’t think he needed to go that far in front of everyone and his touch kept sending streaks of electricity down her neck. He didn’t stop until they left for the night.

Clay walked down to Lily’s room to tell her what time to be up for the BBQ, to ask if she needed a wake up call. He knocked, and when she didn’t respond, he opened the door.

He stood, barely making out her silhouette in the dim light. She hadn’t changed just collapsed on the bed. He knew it was much later for her than him. The time change played havoc on people. He hoped she wouldn’t be too tired to enjoy the BBQ tomorrow.

He walked over to the side of the bed, wondering how she would react if he woke her with his kisses. Would she accept them or would she slap the smile off his face?

His attraction to Lily stunned him. It was strong, holding him completely in its grip. He had never experienced a reaction to a woman like the one he had to her.

He had felt the deep attraction since the day he met her. She drew him and he felt compelled to see her. He wanted to touch her, run his fingers through her chestnut hair, and taste her full lips. He wanted to know her, all of her.

She hadn’t shown any interest beyond casual friendship in all the times he saw her. Sometimes, Clay thought she actually avoided him. She couldn’t avoid him now.

He wondered why. Did she have a reason? Did their age difference matter? It didn’t to him. At twenty-eight, he knew what he wanted, and she lay sleeping on the bed.

Lily rolled over, flinging her arm above her head, moaning in her sleep. Her hand tugged at the dress caught around her hips.

Clay couldn’t help himself. He had to ease her discomfort. He gently pulled the gown away from her legs, taking her shoes off. His eyes traveled up and down what he could see of her body.

He pushed her gown up, grinning as he felt the thigh-hi’s she wore. He unclipped the garters, rolling the stockings down her legs. Slowly, so he did not wake her, he turned her over, unzipping the back of her dress, pushing it off her shoulders. He rolled her back over, shimming the gown down her arms and legs, pulling it over her feet, and letting the gown fall to the floor.

Clay sucked in a deep breath, his eyes trying to skim her bra and slip clad breasts. He wanted to gaze on her skin, but didn’t dare turn a light on. He wondered what her pussy looked like and had to fight the sudden urge to bury his tongue there.

He squeezed his eyes closed, his cock throbbing in his jeans. He rubbed his hands over his face, trying to clear his thoughts. He couldn’t do anything.

She rolled to her side, shivering in the cool air. Clay smothered a groan pulling the covers down he quickly maneuvered her beneath them. Her dark hair spread across the pillow teasing him. He ran his fingers through her loose hair then pulled the covers up to her chin, taking a step away before he did something stupid. He turned, leaving the room closing the door behind him.

Clay grabbed a beer from the bar pacing in front of the window chugging it. It was late and he had to be up early, walking into his room he laid down. His mind still firmly focused on the half-naked woman sleeping in the next

He glanced at the clock. Already 4 a.m. and he couldn’t sleep. Without thinking of the why’s or what for’s he left his room, entering hers. She was lying curled in the center of the bed, her breathing even and Clay quietly pulled the covers down climbing in the bed next to her.

He cuddled up to her back, gently pulling her into his arms, her head beneath his chin.

Lily stirred, sliding her leg against his. He automatically opened his legs for hers. He hoped she wouldn’t wake, so he could continue to hold her in his arms, if only for one night. He felt her body ease, placed a kiss on her head, closing his eyes. He wondered what would happen if she woke before him.

Chapter 3

Clay woke up with a raging hard-on as Lily lay curled along his side with one leg over his, her hand on his chest and head on his shoulder. She was sleeping, peacefully. He could not say the same.

He squeezed his eyes closed. He wanted to roll her over, strip her panties off, and bury himself so deep inside of her he would never find himself again.

He tensed as her fingers moved upon his chest. Looking over at the clock, he saw it was only 7 a.m. They had a few hours yet before they had to get ready for the BBQ.

He would let her sleep. He needed to let her sleep. He eased her onto her back, coming up on an elbow he stared at her sleeping face for a moment.

Clay took a deep breath, getting out of the bed he headed right for a cold shower.

“Lily,” Clay stood next to the bed watching her.

She puckered up her face at the noise, rolling over.

He laughed, shaking her shoulder. “Lily.”

Her eyes popped open. “What?” she murmured.

“Time to get up. We have to get ready for the BBQ.” He smiled at the sleepy expression on her face.

She covered a yawn, nodding as Clay left the room. She pushed the covers down, sitting up, staring at herself. What happened? She didn’t remember taking her gown off or going to bed.

She glanced around the room, finding her gown lying on the floor. She must have been tired.

Clay sat at the little kitchen table, looking out at the skyline. He heard the water turn on, knew she was taking a shower. He wanted nothing more than to join her, to watch the water run off her body, her hair dripping.

He clenched his fingers around his coffee cup, suffering serious doubts about having her with him for the week. He didn’t know if he would be able to keep his hands off her.

It was 11 a.m., Lily had slept late; she hoped they weren’t going to be late for the BBQ. She sighed, she couldn’t remember having such a good nights sleep in the last four years.

She looked in the mirror checking her face, furrowing her brow. She tried to remember what happened after they returned to the suite last night. Part of her swore Clay had lain in bed with her, his arms wrapped around her all night, but that couldn’t be right.

She turned toward the door, grimacing. Why would Clay sleep with her?

He was sitting at the table with his hand clenched on the coffee cup staring out the window. He looked upset, angry even.

She chewed her cheek. “Something wrong?”

“No,” Clay turned, smiling at her jeans, tucked in shirt and sneakers.

“You sure? You look angry.” She sat at the table. “Sorry, if I took too long.”

“No, you didn’t,” he replied. He didn’t want Lily to think he was mad at her. He wasn’t, just horny as hell.

“Okay.” She smiled slightly. Clay had a coffee cup sitting on the table for her.

“Coffee?” He picked up the pot, seeing her nod he poured her a cup.

“What is on the agenda for today?” She added a little milk and sugar to her coffee, stirring.

“The BBQ.” He poured a little more coffee in his cup, warming it up.

“How long will we be there?” she asked.

“All day and most of the night,” he watched her sip her coffee. “There will be games, music, and lots of food.”

“What kind of BBQ is it?” She shifted in her seat as her fingers played with the rim of her coffee cup.

“A picnic, actually, for the employees, we have one every year.” He took a drink of his coffee, watching her fidget.

She glanced at him. “That’s nice to throw a picnic for your employees. Do you have a lot?”

“A fair few.” He laughed. “It is for those who are year round and those who go on tour with us.”

Lily suppressed the shiver Clay’s laugh caused, lowering her eyes. She stared at his hands… fascinated, wondering if they would be gentle on the skin.

“What’s wrong?” He asked, noticing the blush steal up her face.

“Oh, nothing, just thinking.” She shifted in her seat again, her fingers gripping her coffee cup tightly.

“Care to share.” Clay wondered what she had been thinking to cause such a delightful blush to tint her face.

She wrapped both her hands around her coffee cup. “No.”

He laughed, her face was bright red. “Okay, finish your coffee and we will head out, do you want something to eat first?”

“No, I can eat at the BBQ.” She stood, walking over to the kitchen sink.

“Are you sure?” He asked.

She nodded washing the cup.

He walked up behind her, barely a foot away and Lily inhaled his cologne.

He put the pot back on the machine, placing his coffee cup and the spoon in the sink.

She took a quick breath, quivers racing along her skin from his nearness. She automatically started washing the cup and spoon.

Clay didn’t move from behind her, he could smell the sweet scent of her hair. Leaning forward he placed his hand on her shoulder.

She jumped, a soft gasp escaping her lips.

“Sorry.” He was ecstatic! Lily was reacting to him. He grinned. He would spend the day teasing her and maybe tonight she would let him into her bed, the one place he desperately wanted to be.

****

Lily glared at Clay, annoyed. They were supposed to act like a couple, but he didn’t need to be so touchy feely with her. She was jittery, on edge and it was his fault.

She came close once to telling him to stop touching her, but under the circumstances she couldn’t.

She took a deep breath, relieved she had a break from him. He was over talking to his band mates and she hoped to regain some of her composure.

A hand came around her waist.

She stiffened recognizing the weight of his hand, the smell of his cologne.

“You okay?” His fingers tightened on her waist.

“Yeah,” she whispered.

“The guys and I are going to go play some ball, you going to watch?” he asked, motioning toward the bleacher seats by the ball field. He joined the guys and she sat down next to Sara.

She chatted with Sara as the ball game began. Melissa came over sitting next to her, and together they joked and laughed as the guys played ball.

It was Clay’s turn to bat and she watched him flex his muscles, feeling the sudden urge to run her fingers over them.

Clay swung, got a single and she smiled.

“Lily.” Melissa turned to toward her, grabbing her fingers.

“Sorry, just thinking.” Heat flooded her cheeks.

“About Clay?” Melissa laughed.

“No.” Lily squeaked. “About something else.”

“Okay,” Melissa replied, eyebrows shooting up.

She blushed harder and Melissa squeezed her fingers. “Clay is crazy about you.”

Her throat constricted, she knew it seemed that way, but it was all an act.

“Seriously,” Melissa tilted her head watching carefully. “I see the truth in his eyes. You are dating him. Why do you doubt?”

Lily swallowed hard. She had given herself away. “I don’t, just surprised you mentioned it is all.”

Melissa stood. “I won’t press, just thought you should know.”

They walked over, joining the guys as they came out of the field. Clay wrapped his sweaty arm around her waist.

“You are all sweaty,” she whispered.

“Not really.” Clay squeezed her waist. “Give me a chance, and I will show you how sweaty I can get.”

She gasped, her eyes flying to his.

His tawny eyes grew darker as his fingers tightened on her waist. “Seriously.” He stepped forward pulling her along with his hand.

Chapter 4

Her body hummed, her nerves jumped, and she needed a cold shower. The man had seemed intent on teasing her all day and succeeded. This isn’t how it was supposed to be. This wasn’t part of the plan. Why was he teasing her?
