"Mine," she said. And she moved her hand, and my orgasm rose through the warm water and filled me.

"Oh Lara," I said. "Oh, so nice. So nice."

"Mine," she said.

"Yours," I agreed, the waves of pleasure filling me, reinforcing the message. I was hers, completely hers, and I didn't want anything else. Just to be hers.

I fell asleep like that, Lara's fingers still inside me, the warm water and her strong arms lulling me. The water was tepid before she woke me, pulling me from the tub, She dried me and carried me to bed.

She slid into bed with me, pulling me into her arms. I rolled over, curling into her, burying my face in her chest, breathing deeply her scent. Lara wrapped her arms around me, holding me tightly. I relaxed in her arms.

"Lara," I said. "Thank you."

"You're welcome," she said. "What are you thanking me for?"

"Everything," I said. "Letting me be yours, maybe. You could have had anyone."

"I didn't want anyone. I wanted someone who would challenge me. And you do that, Michaela. You challenge me, and I love you for it."

As I burrowed into her, all was right with the world. I slept.

We went straight from the clinic to the airport. Brooke's jet was waiting to return her to Colorado, and she was only waiting for our arrival. She didn't know where we were or why we were late.

Elisabeth drove us to the hangar. The jet was already pulled out, but Brooke and several of her father's enforcers along with several of ours were huddled in the hangar entrance. We climbed out of the car. Lara casually carried a cooler. Elisabeth, Lara and I, along with a few technicians from the clinic, knew what it contained.

Brooke's eyes widened when she saw it.

"Sorry we're late," Lara said. "We had a little business to take care of, and we stopped and picked this up for you, Brooke."

She stared for another moment then came out of her stunned stupor. "That's very kind of you." We pulled her away from everyone else, handing her the cooler. "This is what I think it is?" she asked quietly.

"Just a few eggs," Lara said. "Don't eat them."

Brooke laughed and hugged Lara and me, Lara fiercely, me somewhat more gently. "Thank you."

It was late after a long day for both of us. Lara had gone upstairs first, asking me to hurry.

"Five minutes," I told her.

"If it's more than ten, you know what will happen."

"More like what won't happen," Sophia said with a grin.

"I heard that, Ms. Armstrong," Lara said sternly.

"I'm sorry, Alpha," Sophia said.

"You shouldn't lie to the alpha," Ava said, smirking. "You're not at all sorry."

Shaking her head and muttering about respect, Lara headed to the kitchen for something to drink, and I ignored her as she climbed the stairs, following her with my ears but trying to concentrate on the lesson with Sophia and Ava.

Five minutes later, Ava's phone went off. "That was your five minutes, Michaela. I think she was serious."

I smiled at both of them. "See you at school."

Upstairs, Lara was already in bed, clearly waiting for me, far more passively than she might normally.

"Hey," I said, looking at her with concern. "Is everything okay?"

"Yes," she said. "Everything is perfect." She glanced at the nightstand, and I saw a tall metal cylinder standing on it. "Michaela, I am ovulating."

A grin stole onto my face. "Are you sure?"

"Oh yes," she said. "Quite sure."

"Well," I said, "Perhaps we should make use of this overprice
d turkey baster Dr. Jameson gave us."

A writer by avocation, Robin has a renaissance interest in many areas. A bit of a gypsy, Robin has called a few places home and has traveled widely. Fox Run

In the meantime, Michaela faces her fears built from the past while struggling to find her place in the pack.

Fox Play continues the story first begun in Fox Run. This is a novel of 95,000 words.

Fox Mate

Fox Mate is the 3rd of the Madison Wolves novels, telling the continued story of the feisty were-fox, Michaela, and her alpha-werewolf lover, Lara.

As the day for Michaela and Lara's nuptials draws closer, Michaela struggles to integrate more completely into the pack. The wolf version of her bachelorette party coupled with long repressed memories from Michaela's childhood may be the straws that broke the fox's back.

Michaela struggles to hold things together and find peace in time to save the wedding.

This is a novel of 110,000 words. The novel deals with traumatic issues from Michaela's past and contains some graphic violence and scenes that may be disturbing to sensitive readers.
