“Mmhmm, I know that look. Probably
daydreaming about your hubby like usual, you two make me sick.”

“Oh, please Kitty. You and Grant
are the same way when you’re around each other.” Grant hadn’t made the trip
down and I could tell how much Kitty missed him, but she was still having fun
being able to spoil Lily.

“Daddy.” Lily bounced up and down,
trying to squirm off Kitty’s lap, pointing to the field with her chubby toddler
finger where Dylan was walking towards us.

Every time I saw him, I swear I
still got that flutter in my stomach and my heart sped up. And the way his
brown eyes lit up every time he saw me, I think he felt the same way too.
“There are my favorite girls.” He leaned across the railing to pick up Lily
from Kitty’s arms and the growing crowd let out a collective ‘aww.’

Dylan was getting to be a pretty popular
player and it was hard getting used to his life being semi in the lime light. There
was now even a ‘Dylan’s Diamond Divas’ fan club and those girls could get
vicious. I tried not to let it bother me but it was hard to see those girls
with their signs, clearly there just to check out my husband and not the actual
game. But I trusted him and he never gave me a reason not to.

He wrapped an arm around my waist
pulling my upper body across the railing and devoured my lips with his, I swear
I wanted to jump his bones right there. “Alright you two get a freakin’ room.”
Kitty rolled her green eyes but I could still see a hint of a smile.

“I love you Sparky, forever and
always,” he whispered against my lips, holding our daughter in between us. “I
love you too, Rookie, now more than ever.”

Maybe the itch I had to go away to
college was meant to lead me to Dylan. Some may call it fate that brought us
together, some may just call it pure luck. It had been a bumpy road, but we had
found our way back to each other. Whatever is was I would be thankful for it
bringing Dylan into my life, which in turn brought Lily, a piece of each of us
that truly was a miracle.
