She responded blandly to her mom as if
trying to shrug off the conversation, “It was ok. I won’t know
until Monday. What’s for dinner?”

Dinner went by with its
usual boring talk around the table of how school was and the stupid
math exam once again and her little brother Bobby’s baseball
practice next week and her mom’s pto meeting and her dad’s
promotion at work. After dinner she ran upstairs and took a shower.
When she was done it was eight thirty five and the day was fading
out finally. Because she had slept when she got home from school
she knew she would be up at least until midnight.
Maybe I should have gone with Liz and Andi,
she thought. This whole exam nightmare was really
getting to her. Her stomach had been in knots all day and she
barely ate her dinner.
Just stop worrying
about it Meg. Conner came through for me. I know he did.
She opened up her window just a little to let some
fresh, early summer night air flow into her room which was laden
with pink madness all around. She was eighteen but still had a sick
love for the color pink and just a few stuffed animals. It was
defiantly a girl’s room but one that was fit for an older girl. She
played around on facebook on her phone for a while and then turned
on some music and began brushing her hair in front of her closet
door mirror.
I look so stressed,
she thought as she watched herself brush her
hair.
Maybe I should play with myself just
to relax
; she thought again and pictured
the little pink toy in her bra and panties drawer. A wave of guilt
hit her at the thought of touching herself. Ever since she was
thirteen, she’s always felt slightly guilty about masturbation.
She, Liz and Andi had shared an experience in Liz’s room one summer
afternoon. Liz’s parents were out shopping and the girls had been
riding there bikes all afternoon in the heat. They went inside and
into Liz’s room only to find themselves fifteen minutes later red
faced and embarrassed with their panties down, laughing, pointing
and touching each other’s girl parts. Liz had straddled her pillow
and began grinding on it as Megan and Liz watched in curiosity and
asked if it felt good and if they could have a turn. They vowed
from that moment on that they would never talk about it no matter
what.

Honkey tonk woman by the
Rolling Stones was playing on the radio which was tuned to the
local classic rock station 106 WROK Tiptonia. Megan continued
brushing her hair and then it was finally dark outside. She went to
close the window and then the curtain. Her lamp sitting on her
nightstand lit her room perfectly with a soft warm glow. As she
brushed her hair she looked at her breasts pushing through the top
she was wearing. She cupped them and sighed as she bounced them in
her hands. She was proud of them and had no problem showing them
off with wearing those too small tops she would by at the mall,
although she didn’t want her girls to get in the way her succeeding
in her acting career. She thought about Liz’s little blowjob act
today in the restroom and as funny as it was, she knew Liz was
right. She knew she had to be careful and not get caught up in
doing something completely different of what she had intended to do
with her life. Megan was well aware of the paths that would be
presented to her when she went to California. Her mind was made up
a long time ago that she wanted to be a serious actress and so what
if she was pretty and had big boobs. Big deal.
So does Jennifer Anniston,
she
thought. Those bodily assets could either help or hinder her. It
was up to her. She knew she was talented and had proven it by being
the lead actress in many of her school plays throughout jr. high
and high school. She continued brushing her hair and then started
singing along with the stones into her brush. Dancing and singing
in front of the mirror was not out of the ordinary, even at
eighteen. She’d been play acting in front of the mirror since she
could remember. Ever since she saw the wizard of oz when she six,
she would pretend she was Dorothy and that’s when she knew what she
wanted to do with her life.

It was a quarter to eleven
and sleep had come a little earlier than expected. She yawned a few
times as she finished brushing her hair and then flopped down on
her bed just as she did a few hours ago when she got home from
school. The lamp and radio were still on. She was too tired to get
up and turn them off. She liked listening to music before she went
to sleep. As she laid on her bed and stared at her ceiling fan
spinning around, her eyes grew heavy with an oncoming sleep. Left
over thoughts from the day sifted through her mind. The annoying
buzzing alarm clock, almost being late to school, the fight in the
hallway, Liz sticking French fries up her nose at lunchtime, the
stupid math exam, worrying about graduating, the playground she
drove past earlier, the wonderful aroma of pot roast, the hot water
massaging her back in her shower, the stones, her lovely large
breasts. Her breathing slowed to a relaxing pace and her chest
moved slowly up and down as sleep fell upon her. Her eyes closed
shut and then one final thought went through her mind;
I hope they say yes.

There were at least fifteen or more
kids standing in the hallway Monday morning at school, trying to
get a good look at the tac board displaying a white sheet of paper
that would decide their fate, that being no graduation or summer
school. Megan was one of them but was caught in the middle,
knocking shoulders with the other anxious teens. She felt like a
sardine.

The weekend had passed by like a fast
moving storm and within a blink of her eye Monday was already here.
Too soon. All weekend long she had those damn knots of worry still
attacking her stomach despite helping her dad wash his truck
Saturday morning and going with her mom to Tina’s in Bludenhale to
get her eyebrows and nails done and going bowling Saturday night
with her parent’s and little brother and her aunt and uncle and
then to eat at Denny’s. She even managed to squeeze in some much
needed alone girl time with herself when she finally caved and
masturbated Sunday night. If no one had been home she would’ve
screamed her pretty little head off because she hadn’t had an
orgasm in two weeks and it felt so damn fucking good. Her wrist
took the brunt of her feel good time in order to keep quiet. It
left bite marks.

She made her best effort to zero in on
her name that she prayed was on the list. As she got closer she
squint her eyes to see the tiny print, but still saw nothing. Her
palms were damp with sweat. There was an odd sound of both laughter
and crying in the crowd. Only the names of the people who passed
their exams were on the list. If your name wasn’t on the list you
were told to go see the guidance counselor for further
instructions, but really that meant your ass was going to summer
school, because instead of studying for finals you were too busy on
facebook or pinterest or twitfuck or eating pussy or getting your
pussy ate for the first time.

Some kids were shouting with joy and
high fiving each other while others were holding their heads down
bawling their eyes out.

Megan finally made it to the
front to where she could see. Her big brown eyes followed the list
of names going down the sheet. And then she inhaled a gasp and
almost wet herself when she saw her name on the second row of
names. She felt like crying but held in her elation just
temporarily.
Thankyouthankyouthankyou
Conner, I love you.
Did I just think
that?
She thought.

She ran down the hall
forgetting the no running rule (yes, even in high school) to Liz’s
home room, 103. She blitzed right past it and then quickly turned
around and went inside trying to hold in the scream of joy she
wanted to let out so badly. And of course she did when Liz saw the
look on her face and then it turned into the giddy, high pitched
happy scream with the shaking hands in front of the face charade
that girls sometimes do when the hot guy asks them out on a date or
when their honey proposes to them. And they did it right there in
front of everyone and could care less. Similar actions were taking
place all around the school at the same moment. The faculty
despised the fact that it was only Monday. They would have to deal
with these teenage shenanigans all week. If only the students knew
how some of the teachers actually looked forward to the weekend
more than they did.
These shitheads can
kiss my ass; get the dope and whiskey Carol
!

The girls finally calmed down a shade
and the light happy tears came falling. The knots in Megan’s
stomach melted away. She felt almost weightless for the rest of the
day, for the burden of fear and unknowing had been
lifted.

The pizza shack was beginning to fill
up at a steady pace that afternoon. The aroma of flour and dough
mixed well with pizza sauce and fresh vegetables coming from the
kitchen. Megan along with Liz and Andi, were sitting in a booth
sipping on Pepsi’s. Liz drank diet. A goodtime feeling was in the
air. It was the last week of school and most of the kids were in
good spirits knowing that they were going to graduate. As happy as
Megan was about passing her exam and her future in general, she
still had that one thing on her mind. She wanted to talk about it
with Liz and Andi but didn’t know how to bring it up. She hoped
they would say yes. A waitress brought a fresh batch of breadsticks
to their table. Yeasty goodness rose from the plastic basket and
into the girl’s senses.

“These dudes make the best bread
sticks,” Andi said with already half a mouth full of warm delicious
dough.

“Ditto sister,” Liz said also with a
mouthful of dough. Hells Bells by AC/DC was playing through the ten
inch round speakers on the ceiling.

“What the hell girl, are you on a
diet?” Liz asked Megan who wasn’t engorging herself with the badass
breadsticks like her two best friends were.

“Nope. No diet. I’m just not hungry at
the moment.”

“You’d think she’d be starving after
being so stressed out last week about that damn exam,” Andi said
and then took another bite.

“Well I’m just glad it’s
over with, ya know.” Megan looked out the window at a car pulling
up to the pizza shack. Two teenagers got out and made their way
inside. Megan began thinking of Conner.
Why
did I say I love him? Do I love him?

“Yoohoo Hollywood,” Liz suddenly said
making Megan turn her attention to the waitress standing by the
table. She had asked Megan if she wanted a refill. She said no and
then gazed out the window once again.

“Ok girly, what’s up,” Liz
asked.

“What,” Megan said with a total honest
look on her face like there really wasn’t anything
wrong.

“You’ve hardly said anything
since we got here. And you’re all quiet acting and shit.” Liz took
a sip of her diet Pepsi, keeping her eyes attached to Megan. A
booming voice came from the speakers above.
You’re listening to WROK 106 Tiptonia,
and then
Don’t fear the reaper by Blue
Oyster Cult began playing.

Megan sighed and shook her
head and told Liz that there really wasn’t anything wrong.
You sure about that doll? You’ve only had that
thing on your mind for a few weeks now. You know, the thing you’ve
been thinking about every night when you lay your head down on your
pillow and your big brown eyes close shut on your pretty little
face and your mind goes to dream land where you dream, dream, dream
about that thing you’ve really been wanting to try but are too
afraid to ask, “Hey girls, do you wanna……..

“I’m telling you, It’s all that stress
from the exam. You’re just coming down that’s all,” Andi tried to
sound reassuring.

Megan smiled and said, “Look guys,
nothing is wrong. I’m just a little tired and maybe Andi’s right
about all the stress.” She picked up a breadstick and took a bite.
She hoped it looked legit. She wasn’t hungry at all.

Liz glared at her best friend knowing
that something was on her mind. She just didn’t know what.
Boyfriend trouble? Dad giving you shit at home? You have your
fucking period?

“Ok, well we’re here if you wanna
talk,” Liz told her.

Just come out and say it
Meg. Don’t be a shithead. They think something is wrong you. Well,
there is but not really. Jesus Megan, just ask them if they want
to…….

“We need to do something,” Liz suddenly
said breaking Megan’s train of thought. “We gotta do something big
and like soon because there isn’t much time left ladies. I may have
only a few weeks after graduation and then its fucking factory city
for me.”

“Liz,” Andi started, “Why don’t you
tell you dad to stick it and that you’re not going to spend the
rest of your life in some boring, hot factory!”

“Because Andi shmandy he’s
my old man and he keeps a roof over my head. It
is
really good money to.”

“Sounds to me that you’re only telling
yourself that just to psych yourself out,” Andi told
her.

Megan couldn’t help but agree but only
internally. She took a sip from her cup and gazed down at the table
without saying anything.

“What do you think Meg?” Liz asked her
in a serious tone like her whole life depended on her best friend’s
opinion of her future.
