Still smiling she paused and put her hands into the air, "Look Prez, no knife, I got your back." She stood there quietly to give him time to accept what she was saying. She knew that it was beginning to sink in when he reached out and stroked her hair, a look of amazement crossing over his handsome face. Seeing his body relax she reached down and unbuckled his belt, and with a wicked smile on her lips, she added, "However, you must now show me how much you appreciate me and take your punishment like a man. 'Cause you see Sire, you still gotta pay for that whole 'Keep her under control and in a fucking cage' bullshit." Standing up on her tippy-toes, she gave him a kiss.

"Sweet heaven on earth," he thought as she touched him there, "Somebody needs to pull this horseshoe out of my ass, cause if I get any fucking luckier it's gonna kill me!" And that was pretty much his last conscious thought as he became lost in this surreal moment with his woman. By the time that they were out of the shower, he had paid his penance in spades, and his emotional roller-coaster had finally rolled to a halt.

She finished towel drying her hair and wrapped the towel around her saying, "I know that they wouldn't bug the bedroom, but do you think they wired the office?" She asked in a slightly nervous tone. "There is a camera, but it doesn't matter. Every room except the bedrooms has a camera but no audio." he advised, "I shut this monitor down and had them do an early shift change. I have no issue with the camera, it's a safety measure. I'll turn it back on tomorrow myself, I just didn't want to come in here and us have a knock-down drag out, while someone sitting in another room watched the show. I don't think that they are spying on me, I think that they just used a few handy tools this morning to their advantage. They didn't
lure
me into the armory, they just wanted to be there when I discovered the arsenal. I believe that they wanted to give me a visual of the danger ahead to help drive home their point."

Stax had figured that Strangler had sensed that it wasn't exactly a chance meeting in the armory, just as she had. "That's exactly what they said when I went off on them." she said as she pulled him to her, sliding her arms around his neck, "Your a very smart man." She said, dropping her towel.

Later, after all of the trucks were unloaded, everyone began taking showers and getting ready for the party. Nobody had seen Stax or Strangler since right after the cruinniú, and nobody was discussing it either. It was worrisome yes, but it was no business of theirs. They all had enough on their own plates to worry over and this wasn't a night for worry, this was a night to enjoy the fact that they were safe, together and still in charge of their own destiny. Tomorrow would be what it would be, and tonight would be what they made of it.

Before long, the Ballroom started to fill as people came in, and headed to the bar. Still without barstools, the guys started a chain to get the job done. Several positioned themselves in the library, each taking a stool to a designated point in the hall, where the next group would take them to the kitchen, another group waiting there would place them in the elevator and send them up, and the men in the upstairs kitchen would take them out and place them in the bar. Within the hour, the barstools were in place and the banquet tables and folding chairs began their own journey through the Castle.

The only music they had when they started was that of small a c.d. player, but they were in the process of rectifying that issue too. After the last of the tables and chairs were sent up, four men placed the juke-box that had been brought up from the warehouse into the elevator, and soon enough the party was in full swing.

As the drinks starting flowing, people began to relax and enjoy each other's company as if it were a normal night at the Clubhouse. Jokes were being bantered about, challenges to arm wrestle were sent out and if you looked in the corner near the stage, there was always a body on the stripper-pole. No sooner than one would sit down another would take over, turning it up a notch. As the night progressed, it wouldn't be unheard of to look over and see one of the guys, one hand on the pole, showing off his moves. Upstairs in the Castle, it was on!

Downstairs it was on too. Then off, then on again, as Stax continued to make Strangler endure his punishment for proclaiming in public that he had the ability to control her. Finally, he cried 'mercy' and firmly took a stand to end the torment and be allowed, for the sake of morale, to make his appearence upstairs. She eventually relented and after yet another shower, they dressed for the party.

Before heading upstairs, they discussed what their behavior should be going in. They had no desire to decieve anyone, but then again, they found themselves in a strange position. If they went in all lovey-dovey, the Trio would definately feel like they'd been had, or worse, Stax would look like she was being sub-servient. If they went in cold, not speaking to each other, club morale could sink or worse, doubt, worry and speculation could set in. They decided to walk in seperately, work the room for awhile and let alcohol and the party atmosphere bring them together naturally. Everyone knew that their relationship was in a class of it's own, so this should be no suprise to anyone. Only the officers were privy to the reason as to why Stax was pissed, and they would assume that he had worked things out with her to both of their satisfaction. The other's had simply noticed her attitude during the cruinniú and knew only that 'something' had set her off. Just before she left the bedroom, he teased her, "You know Angel, if you were to strip and dance with the pole, no-one would question our motives when I throw you over my shoulder and head back downstairs tonight."

Chapter 20

" Hidden Places"

Even though the party had started early, it had ended late and everyone was still sleeping when the guards changed watch at sunrise, and again four hours later. While they slept, the Officer's and Stax met in the office to familiarize themselves with the Trio's elusive blueprints. There was much to learn, and even more to discuss. At first, the Trio was a little stand-offish, but as they began to divulge their plans, their excitement was evident. They were proud of what the four of them had accomplished over the years, and how well they had kept it from becoming public knowledge.

Like Kings planning the defense of their Kingdom, they had spent their lives together in the 'War Room', combining knowledge from their ancestor's victories and from their own expriences of war. They had made a point throught the years, to keep up with the most recent military activity. Each one of the mind that you must continue to acquire knowledge and upgrade often to meet the challenge, else you become a victim out of your own ignorance.  They had their ways of getting what they required, it helped that they knew the right people to deal with. Slider had passed with many a favor still owed to the G.G.S, and only the Trio knew what the favors were and from whom.  Being a charming Gael might work in some places, but with the type of people that they came in contact with, you had to be everything
but
charming. Now, laying on the table was a summary of their lifes work, and it was so much more than impressive. "
Most everythings already been put in place mind you, but we still have a few final touches that we havent' been able to complete as of yet.
" Rage advised, his eyes gleaming with the anticipation of finally utilizing his skills again.

Sitting at the table, those who had laid eyes on these plans for the first time, were speechless. "I'm going to need a walk-through," said Strangler, "A visual, if you will," he nodded at the Trio, "I'm a show-me, teach-me, hands-on, kinda guy." He leaned back in his chair and stretched, letting his reference to their recent antics sink in. "Let's grab our weapons and the ATV's, and we can go for a look. We'll do the inside stuff later, but while it's still relatively safe outside, lets get started. Now that the gathering of supplies is over, there won't be anyone on the grounds and we can help you implement those 'final touches' you mentioned."

He placed four extra guards on the roof and made sure that they knew not to let anyone outside of the courtyard for any reason. The guards were to inform security of his instructions, and they assured Strangler that they were keeping a good eye on the sky as well. Next, they headed for the armory and loaded up everything that the old Gaels called for before heading to the parking garage. Stax was with them, she wasn't about to miss a chance to see what her father had concealed from her.

Previously, explosives had been placed in areas where nobody wandered. Now they had to secure the out buildings, the border's to the pasture land across the street and either side of the main road coming into the compound. Even though there were seven of them, Strangler called in Ryker, Scratch and Smiling Vick, bumping their party up to ten.

When the three bikers were called for duty they were told to wear a bullet proof vest. Quickly they dressed, and as instructed, grabbed seven extra vests before meeting the rest of the team in the parking garage. Strangler had chosen them for their experience and combined knowledge in fire arms and explosives. Speaking to his team he advised, "You guys are about to see some very unexpected sights, remember where every one of them are and how to utilize them. This is going to be your only day of instruction. What was secret, will now be revealed." The three added team members finished loading the truck, and Strangler gave a final instruction before departing the courtyard. "Ride together, stay together, return together."

The items that had been gathered the day before were still downstairs where they had been staged before the party and the trucks and heavy equipment still needed to be stratigically arranged in the courtyard. Strangler left specific instruction on where everything was to be placed, once people awoke and finished breakfast. Once their tasks were completed, they were advised to relax and rest but they were not to leave the courtyard. Unless new information came in or a sighting occured, his own team would be out for the better part of the day.

As the day wore on, the vastness of the original four's plan unfolded, and with each new revelation, the team began to feel more and more invincible. Even if they were to be overtaken somehow, there were several places to flee and hidden modes of transportation covered in camoflauge already fueled and ready. The Trio showed them where the underground passageways from the Castle would take them and the short routes to take to find the awaiting vehicles.

Behind the big warehouse, there was an underground cellar that could hold at least twenty five people for a short time, and a second one down by the cement plant. Both could be entered either from a hidden panel inside the buildings or from directly behind the building. The outside entries were camoflauged by a big dumpster which had been placed over the underground doorway. The bottom of the fake dumpster was an entryway into the cellar, and the lid of the dumpster had styrofoam, plastics, stuffed trashbags and the like adhered to the top. This was to make it look like it was overflowing and awaiting removal. At a glance, when someone saw this mess they probably wouldn't  bother to check inside, due to it's deceptive appearance. It looked as if trash would have fallen on the ground all around it as soon as the lid was lifted, so why bother? If someone did actually open it, there was another deterent in place, inside the dumpster. The last person to shut the lid would arm a tear gas cannister connected to the lid of the dumpster before they went underground. If this was set off by the opening of the lid, it would deter further investigation or at least buy them some time.

There was as much to do as there was to see, but they managed to get it all done. Stax sent Della a message before they headed back, to give her time to prepare a late lunch for the teams return. The sun was unmerciful and they were all hot, tired and dirty. Taking a shower was on everybody's mind. As they were returning to the Castle, a plane flew overhead. Strangler looked up squinting against the sun, but before he could make anything out, he heard Vick say, "Commercial Airline Prez, no worries." Other than that one heartstopping moment, it was a rather pleasant and informative day.

Upon entering the Castle, it was apparent that everyone had followed instructions. Everything seemed to be in place, and the atmoshere of the Bar Room had changed with the addition of tables, chairs and barstools.  Enough for the clubs personal use had been brought in, the rest were left in the underground parking garage. Della rolled out a lunch cart and started setting the tables. "Grab a quick shower and we'll meet you back here for lunch." Strangler told the team. As he and Stax walked into the office, they were pleased to see that the desk and chairs were also in place. At the end of the desk the banquet table had been turned sideways to accommodate more workroom and extra seating. The bedroom suit had been arranged as it was in the old Clubhous, and they felt the warm sense of home as they headed for the the shower.

After lunch, they chose to take a rest break and decided to meet back at the bar in two hours to take the Trio's tour of the hidden mysteries of the Castle. Strangler gave them their instructions for later. "After the tour, I want Scratch, Ryker and Vick to spend the evening taking small groups to observe the hidden places. I want everyone who carries a firearm to know the escape routes and hiding places, no exceptions. You can't show them where they will come out on the other side, but you can advise them of what to expect. Make up a map for them to follow if the time comes. Anyone of us could find ourselves to be the last man standing and in charge of the ones that can't protect themselves. Griff, you and Cat need to stage a 'fire drill' for the children so that they know what direction to head in case of an emergency. If there aren't any questions, I'll see you in two." And with that, he went back to the office.
