Frank smiled around Seth’s cock as he worked his tongue over the

shaft, enjoying the feel of the weight in his mouth.

“Please, it’s been too long, and I don’t want to waste my load in

your mouth,” Seth shouted.

Reluctantly, Frank eased back. “We do have all night.”

“Then suck my cock on round three,” Seth said. “Where’s your

lube?”

Frank couldn’t help but smile as he reached into the drawer and

pulled out a bottle of lube and a strip of condoms.

“Do you plan on using all of them?” Seth asked with wide eyes.

“I’m sure as hell going to try.” Frank wiggled his brows at Seth as

he tossed the supplies on the bed.

“I knew you were trouble, buddy,” Seth teased as Frank lubed his

fingers.

“But I’m fun, too.” Rimming Seth’s tight muscle, Frank sank one

finger in and nearly came. If Seth’s hole was this tight around his

finger…god. Frank was going to lose his mind with this man.

Sliding another finger inside Seth, Frank scissored them, watching

Seth as the man’s head rocked back and forth, nearly chewing his

bottom lip off. Seth looked magnificent as he squirmed underneath

Frank. His short spiky brown hair reminded Frank of a sprite. And

that was exactly how he saw Seth.

“Hurry up, Frank. I need to feel your cock inside of me.”

“Patience, Seth.” Frank smiled. He loved the fact that Seth was

desperate for him. It rubbed his ego and made Frank feel ten feet tall.

After adding a third finger and making sure Seth was well stretched,

Frank removed his hand and grabbed a condom.

Lord knew he was just as excited as Seth was.

He tore the wrapper open and slid the condom down his shaft,

staring down at Seth’s cock in anticipation. “Hands and knees or on

your back?”

“On my back,” Seth replied with a blush.

That said a lot about Seth. To Frank, looking into each other’s

eyes as they fucked was a very intimate act. It told Frank that Seth

was taking things just as seriously as he was, although it was only

their first date.

But it was a first date to remember.

Frank eased forward, dropping to one arm as he grabbed his cock

with the other hand, pressing it into Seth’s snug body. Seth inhaled

sharply and then pressed his ass down onto Frank’s cock, his eyes

rolling as he groaned.

“Damn, Seth, maybe I should have stretched you a little more.”

Because fuck if the man wasn’t tight as hell. Frank thought he wasn’t

going to get inside Seth for a moment there. He worked his cock in

inch by inch, finally feeling Seth’s body relax and loosen up. He

reached his other arm up, placing it on the other side of Seth’s head.

“Much better.”

Seth grinned, his dimples showing off to perfection. “Like you

wouldn’t have fought to fuck me.”

“Yeah,” Frank admitted with a chuckle. “I would have.”

“Then shut up and fuck me,” Seth teased as he pulled Frank down

for another scorching kiss.

Frank had no problem with that order. He pulled his hips back and

then thrust forward, groaning into Seth’s mouth at the tight feel. Seth

lifted his legs, wrapping them around Frank’s hips as he pushed his

ass right onto Frank’s cock.

“That’s it, baby. Fuck me.”

Seth slung his arms around Frank’s shoulders and began to fuck

him in earnest. The only thing Frank could do was pray he didn’t

come so quickly. Seth’s body was riding Frank’s cock with

enthusiasm, making Frank’s damn toes curl.

“Oh, god, Frank.” Seth threw his head back and cried out, his seed

painting Frank’s stomach and chest as his movements faltered,

becoming less of a rhythm and more jerky.

Frank took over, pressing Seth into the bed as he began to drive

his cock into Seth’s ass. He wasn’t too far behind Seth as the

electricity built, working its way up his spine and shattering Frank

into a thousand pieces. He shouted out Seth’s name as his body

convulsed, his seed emptying into the condom.

Frank rested his forehead on Seth’s chest, breathing hard and

trying to get his heart rate to slow. Goddamn. It had been so long that

Frank had forgotten how good it felt inside a tight ass. Fuck if it was

going to be another three years. He had Seth in his bed, and that was

where Frank planned on keeping the man.

“Oh my god, Frank. You just unkinked my back.” Seth laughed as

Frank pulled his softening cock free, keeping a tight hold on the

condom. He pulled the latex off of his shaft and tied the end off,

tossing it toward the trash.

“I aim to please.” He grinned as he stretched out beside Seth.

“And that you did, in spades. I hope you’re planning on taking me

out tomorrow night.”

Frank pulled Seth into his arms, draping the man across his chest

as he ran his hand over Seth’s soft hair. “I don’t plan on letting you go

anytime soon, love.”

“That sounds like paradise to me,” Seth said as he sighed.

It had only been one date, and already Frank felt himself falling

for the man.

Damn
.

* * * *

“Hey, babe.” Frank grinned into the phone as he listened to Seth’s

animated voice. He wasn’t quite sure what the man was going on

about, but he loved to hear Seth talk. “Wait.” One sentence got

through his befuddled mind. “You’re canceling our date tonight?”

“Something important came up, Frank, something I can’t get out

of. Can I get a rain check?”

“Yeah, sure, whatever.” Frank could hear Seth call out his name

as he hung up. He wasn’t waiting around to hear what else the man

had to say. He knew a brush-off when he heard one. They always

started with excuses.

Frank had hoped for something different with Seth, something

more. He had really liked the man. He had thought they were starting

something together, something special, but now he knew that was all

on his side.

“De Luca,” Frank answered his phone automatically, too upset to

check the caller ID.

“I’m really glad we didn’t make it to that second date, De Luca. I

just can’t believe I let you fuck me. You’re an ass!” Seth’s thick

angry voice snarled through the phone. “Lose my phone number.”

Frank blinked and pulled the phone away from his ear when Seth

hung up, staring at it. Seth was angry with him? He wasn’t the one

breaking their date. He should be the one that was angry, not Seth.

“Problems?” Nick asked as he walked up and hitched his hip on

the side of Frank’s desk. “You look like someone just drowned your

guppy.”

“Seth canceled.”

“Did he say why?”

Frank rolled his eyes. “Something came up.”

“Okay, so when did he say he would be available for another

date?”

Frank frowned. He grabbed the stack of files in front of him and

flipped the cover open on the top one. “We need to get back to work.”

“Frankie.”

Frank huffed. “He didn’t say when he’d be available.”

“What did you do, Frank?”

“What makes you think I did anything?” Frank snapped.

“Because I know you, Frank. One of your biggest pet peeves is

someone making an appointment and then canceling. You are also an

incredibly hot-tempered Italian. You make snap decisions before

thinking things through.”

“I do not!” Usually.

The eyebrow that Nick arched at him made Frank want to smack

the guy. “What exactly did Seth say when he called?”

36

Stormy Glenn

“Which time?” Frank grumbled as he reached for a pencil and a

notepad. Maybe, if the planets were aligned and the gods favored him,

he could get Nick to drop the subject and get back to work.

Nick’s eyebrows shot up. “He called twice to cancel?”

“No, he called once to cancel.” Frank could feel his face flushed.

“And then he called again to tell me what a jackass I am.”

“Good.” Nick crossed his arms. “You are a jackass.”

Frank tossed his pencil down on the desk then rubbed both hands

over his face as he groaned. He was a jackass. “He told me to lose his

phone number.”

“Ouch.”

Frank dropped his hands to stare up at his partner. “What am I

going to do, Nick?”

“Grovel.”

Chapter 3

Seth was dragging his feet by the time his brownstone came into

view. His eyes burned from being forced to stay open for way too

long. It had been the longest two days of his life.

And the most heartbreaking.

Besides trying to deal with his resentment and anger at Frank, not

to mention the soul-deep anguish he felt that the bond he thought was

developing between him and Frank was only on his side, Ruthie was

suffering complications due to the pregnancy.

Not only had Seth spent the last two nights at Ruthie’s bedside,

but so had Lisa, Ruthie’s partner. Ruthie was on complete bed rest for

the rest of the pregnancy as the doctors tried to keep her from having

an early labor.

Seth was terrified, both for Ruthie and for his unborn child. He

sniffled and rubbed at his eyes, refusing to give into the

overwhelming emotions threatening to spill out. He was not going to

give Frank De Luca the satisfaction of gaining one more tear from

him.

Seth didn’t need someone in his life that treated him the way

Frank had. As much as he still yearned to feel the man’s arms wrap

around him, there were some things more important than a big dick.

Seth pulled his cell phone out of his pocket when it rang, flipping

it open just as soon as he saw that it was Micah. “Hey, man.”

“How is she?” Micah asked. Seth didn’t need to ask who Micah

was talking about.

“She’s sleeping right now. I just came home to take a shower and

get a change of clothes. Lisa is staying with her right now.”

38

Stormy Glenn

“That’s good,” Micah replied. “You need to take care of yourself

as well, Seth. You’ll be no use to Ruthie if you get sick.”

“I’m going to be okay, Micah.”

“Gideon is calling in a specialist from Johns Hopkins. He’s

supposed to be the best OB-GYN in the country.”

“Thank you.” As high handed as Gideon’s action was, Seth wasn’t

going to argue. He wanted only the best for Ruthie and Sophie. “Tell

Gideon I’ll pay him back for this somehow.”

“Don’t be ridiculous. This is my goddaughter we’re talking about.

Nothing is too good for her.”

Seth chuckled at Micah’s exuberance. The man might be the only

one on the planet more excited than Seth was about the impending

birth. “Ruthie and Sophie should be fine just as long as Ruthie gets

plenty of rest.”

“Is there anything you need?” Micah asked.

“No, I’m good. I’m just going to—” Seth screamed as a wall of

something hard and hot slammed into him, throwing him back several

feet. He landed on the cold cement with a sickening thud.

He lay there, blinking rapidly, his mind almost a pure blank slate

of pain, his entire body feeling like one huge bruise. There was a loud

ringing in his ears, everything around him muted except the ringing.

Seth winced when he felt hands grab him and roll him over. He

was baffled at the concern he could see on his neighbor’s face. Hank

was an easygoing guy, a pretty damn good neighbor. He never got

upset.

“Hank, what—” Hank’s lips moved, but no sound came out. Seth

frowned up at him. “I can’t hear you, Hank. What are you saying?”

When Hank glanced up and across him, Seth turned to see who he

was talking to because he hadn’t heard anyone else walk up. Seth was

surprised to see a paramedic kneeling down next to him.

“Wha—” The paramedic gestured to his lips then to his ear then

made a hand gesture mimicking talking. “No,” Seth said as he shook

his head, wishing he hadn’t when pain flared through his skull. “I can

see your lips moving, but I can’t hear you.”

The man held up a pen light. Seth wasn’t stupid. He knew

something had happened that had thrown him to the ground and that

the paramedic just wanted to check him over. Seth nodded his

understanding.

Maybe he had been hit by a car.

By the time the paramedic patted him and mouthed that he would

be fine, Seth could hear the man if he talked really, really loudly. He

seriously hoped that it meant his hearing was coming back. He hated

hand gestures. It made him feel like he was playing a bad game of

charades…and losing.
