“You never loved me Ryan, if you did you would not have broken my heart a million times over.”

“Beth,” he said as he reached out to me and I ran out of the kitchen and away from something I could not understand or even process. This was not Ryan, it could not be him nor was it me. I then stopped as I ran into Cas and he stared at me like he didn’t even know me. I could only hope he had not heard any of that or worse yet, witnessed us.

“There is no ice cream,
” I said to him and I stopped him as he started to walk forward.

“I can check for you.”

“No, I will send someone out for some, no worries,” I said as Ryan walked out of the kitchen, zipping up his pants and I rubbed my arms as Cas eyed him.

“Are you okay?” he asked me and I nodded to him.

“Father,” Cas said as Ryan passed him by without saying a word. He walked the entire length of the hallway and slammed the door to the study where he likes to spend his time now, drinking and fucking I would assume. I stepped out with Cas as one of the maids tapped on his door and opened it up as I tried my best to ignore it. I knew he would fuck her and why it would even matter anymore was becoming an irritant I did not want. She closed it slowly as we caught each other’s stare and I saw Ryan standing by Father’s desk. I sighed as I looked away knowing I could have changed the course of this evening if I had just allowed him to love me, but surrendering to that was like allowing a knife to stab me in the heart yet again.

We returned to the living room but August was nowhere to be found.

“August?” Cas called out but it seemed he had decided to not stay and enjoy a bit of normal and I cannot say that I blamed him. Cas turned to me and I sighed.

“I think I am going to go to bed.”

“No movie?” Cas asked me and I shook my head as we both saw August leaving in the car.

“It is late, do you know where you brother is going?”

“No, he tells me nothing.”

I suddenly felt bad for
him and then I glanced at the television.

“Let’s watch a movie anyway, okay?” I asked hi
m and he smiled and ran to the television and turned, holding up an old black and white classic. I grinned as I knew this would mean the world to him and I could at least give him that.

Chapter Twelve

Stir the Pot

August lay
on Zane’s chest and grinned as Zane played with his hair. August then looked up at him and stared into his eyes.

“That was new,” h
e said as Zane stared back at him and then laughed.

“Really?” he said and August
sat up and messed with his own hair, trying to settle it back down.

“Well, I mean…”

Zane ran his hand down August’s back and he sighed as his touch was always so needed and intoxicating. He turned and looked at him as the sheet barely covered his waist. Zane glanced down and August shook his head at him.

“I have to go.

“You always have to go
.”

August looked at him and
grinned. “I always have to come.”

Zane laughed and August rolled on top of him and stared at his lips as he touched his face.

“We should tell him,” Zane said and August’s smile faded.

“No,
” he said as he rolled off of him and slid to the edge of the bed. He leaned down and picked up his pants and stopped as Zane slid up behind him and wrapped his arms around him.

“I can do it,” h
e whispered into August’s ear and August closed his eyes and then turned to him quickly, grabbing his wrist and holding it tightly.

Zane narrowed his eyes and looked at his wrist.
“You are hurting me,” he said and August held onto him for moment longer until Zane decided to jerk his wrist from him.

“Maybe I should tell Zoey,
” Zane said and August backhanded him as Zane fell back. August crawled on top of him and held his arms down as he straddled him. He slapped him across the face and Zane grinned and stared up at him.

“You think so huh?” August asked him and Zane smiled as August slapped him one more time. Zane started to laugh as a bit of blood showed on his teeth. August shook his head and leaned down into his face.

“Suck my dick.”

Zane smiled as he glanced down and August moved back as Zane crawled up and let his fingers move up slowly on each leg.

“If I do this, then you fuck me.”

“I will make you scream,
” August said as Zane grinned and pulled his cock out, licking at the tip of it and then sliding it into his mouth as August let his head fall back. Zane continued to suck with more force as August moaned and reached down, placing his hand on the top of Zane’s head and pressing it forward. Zane let out a muffled moan as August pushed his cock to the back of his throat and held it there for a moment. He then released Zane who pulled his mouth from it and hit him.

“Always such a fucking sadist.”

“Turn around,” August said, as Zane shook his head no.

“Really?” August said as he pulled on his legs and twisted them, flipping him over. August rose up on his knees as Zane rose up onto his. August stroked his cock a couple of times as he reached out and felt Zane’s ass. He then slapped him and Zane gritted his teeth as a red welt rose up where August’s hand had been.

August then grabbed Zane’s hips and moved him back towards his cock as he watched it slide into his ass easily. Zane hissed as August dug his fingers into Zane’s hips. He thrust forward and buried his cock deep into him as Zane called out his name.

“That is what I fucking thought,
” August said as he pushed Zane onto his stomach and continued to fuck him, pushing in and out quickly.

“August!” Zane screamed as August started to moan and reached under them. He wrapped his hand around Zane’s cock and started to
stroke it quickly as he thrust deeper into his ass. Zane spread his legs under them as August placed his mouth to Zane’s shoulder and bit into it.

“Fucking God!
” Zane screamed as the orgasm started to roll through him and August tensed up as his cock twitched, exploding into his ass.

Cas sat in his room and stared at the bag in the corner. He had placed it in the closet; buried deep with the contents he had found since the day he unearthed them in the garden. He bit at the corner of his finger and then walked towards it and grabbed the strap. He sighed as he stepped up to his desk and set it down. He waited a bit longer, glancing out of his window into the darkness and then decided to open it up. He pulled the skull out of the bag and took a slow breath as he held it up and stared at the empty eye sockets.

“Who are you?” h
e whispered as he set it back down and saw the bit of gold chain sticking out from the bag. He then lifted the locket and brushed his fingers over the elaborate etchings. He turned it and then stopped as he saw a clasp on it and tried to open it but it was sealed shut from decay. He set it down and stared at it sitting next to the skull.

He then pulled hi
s phone from his pocket and placed it close to his ear. It rang a few times and he sighed until he heard a click and then his eyes lit up.

“Hi,” h
e said and the voice on the other end spoke back to him.

“I have a favor to ask you.”

“I can bring it by tomorrow,” he added and then he nodded and pulled the phone from his ear. He glanced at the skull and then slid it back into his bag along with the locket. He looked at the dirt on his hands and then peered through the window at the garden.

August smiled as he stood on the sidewalk and Zoey walked towards him. She wore all white with black sunglasses on. She stopped and tilted them down to see him as he let the sight of her sink into his being.

“You look good enough to eat
.”

Mmm, you are late,” she said as she reached up and moved his hair from his eyes.

“You really should get a haircut, or at
least slick it up or something,” she said quietly and he watched her leave him and start to walk up the steps to the museum. Her ass was tightly held inside the white dress she had on and he narrowed his eyes as he imagined digging his nails into her skin and losing his breath. He ran to catch up with her and they started walking side by side. She glanced over at him and then back towards the large doors ahead of them.

“I am really excited to see this exhibit.”

“I can tell,” he said as he glanced at her nipples.

She looked down and laughed.

“It is chilly out here, August.”

“I thought maybe you were thinking about me.”

She stopped and took her sunglasses off. She suddenly got a very serious expression on her face and he stopped walking as she stared him down.

“I am not always thinking of you.”

“Right,” he said and she shook her head, holding in the laughter until she had to turn with a grin on her face. She started to walk again and he joined her she then reached the doors and he placed his hand out and grabbed the handle, opening the door up for her and she looked at him for a moment, surprised he had. August was not so much a gentleman as he was just a seducer. They are definitely two different things.

“Are you okay
?” she asked him and he opened the door wide so she could step in before him.

They both stopped as they stared upward and saw the painted ceiling of the museum. This place
was one of the most beautiful buildings in New York and it just so happened to be a favorite to August. He could still remember his mother bringing him and Cas to this place when they were little. It was a childhood memory that he cherished because there were very few outside of their home. It had always seemed that they spent all of their time there and never exploring the world, so when they took trips it always meant so much more than it may have meant to others. He sighed and watched a ghostly apparition of his mother as well as him and his brother. The only thing he would have changed about it was to add his father, but Ryan was not one to ever take them anywhere or do much of anything. He then blinked as he felt Zoey slide her arm into his and pull him forward as she looked around.

“I have a surprise for you,” s
he whispered as August looked up and saw a woman standing in front of the first large Roman statue. August looked up at it as a man lay down and a woman held a sword up over him, looking as if she was about to stab him with it. He raised an eyebrow as Zoey pulled him behind the woman and then she spoke without turning to them.

“In Babylon there lived the most handsome pair of young lovers in the East. Pyramus loved Thisbe and she loved him, but although they were next door neighbors they could never get together because both sets of parents opposed the courtship. In order to converse they had to whisper through a chink in the wall that separated them. Tired of this subterfuge, they agreed to meet one night outside the city to elope. Thisbe arrived at the meeting place under a mulberry tree and was frightened off by a lion with bloody jaws. The lion found her scarf and ripped it, staining the scarf with blood. When Pyramus came along he
discovered the scarf and the lion's tracks and he assumed Thisbe had been killed. No longer wishing to live, he took his sword and plunged it into his body. The blood spurted upward and dyed the white mulberries red. Thisbe returned to find her lover at the point of death. She obtained his sword and committed suicide. The two of them were buried in a single urn. Since that time the mulberry tree has always put forth red berries.”

August glanced at Zoey as she removed her sunglasses and the woman turned to face them. She was stunning in every way. August had always felt that Zoey and Zane were damn near perfect in their features but standing this close to this woman made them almost pale in comparison.

“So you are Augustus Bittermend,” she said as she extended a hand to him and he took it into his. He started to shake it and she cleared her throat so he lifted it to his lips and saw the enormous ring on her finger as he kissed the top of her hand. She smiled as Zoey stared her down.

“That was a depressing story
, Mother,” Zoey said and August took his lips from her hand as she pulled it back from him and looked at Zoey.

“Love is never pretty.”

“It reminds me of Romeo and Juliette,” August said as she then turned her deep brown eyes onto him and let them settle, she had a stare that felt as if she was peering into your soul. August actually felt uncomfortable for a moment until he looked down to see Zoey tighten her grip on his hand. He had not even noticed she had taken it, which was odd.

“Mother is never optimistic about anything.”

“I am too,” she said as she looked August over and he cleared his throat.

“You look
as if you have seen a ghost,” she said to him and he shook his head.

“I just, I am sorry. I didn’t know you came out of the house.”

She laughed and started to walk as more large statues came into view.

“Did you think I was chained to a bed and fed under th
e door perhaps?” she asked him and he smiled and looked at Zoey who ignored her.

“I just,” s
he stopped and turned to him.

“Truth be told I had a terrible past
, but terrible pasts only build two things…an amazing bridge to freedom or a gate to hell.”

August stared at her until he realized he needed to stop. Zoey looked up and smiled at the large stone penis above her.

“Well, look at that,” she said and her Mother looked up and August turned to see it too.

“That is ridiculous,” h
e said and Zoey’s Mother laughed under her breath. August looked at her and she glanced down him as he felt himself blush. He turned to Zoey and smiled as he held onto her hand even tighter.

“Coffee?” he asked her and she nodded to him.

“Would you like something?” he asked as he turned to her mother.

“Molly,” s
he said and he hesitated and then repeated himself.

“Would you like something Mrs…”

She held up her finger and clicked her tongue.

“Molly,” h
e said and she smiled.

“Vanilla Latte, double shot of
espresso,” she said and August left them both standing next to the large statue of a Roman God with a ridiculous dick.

Zoey stared at her m
other as she looked the statue over and then Molly lowered her eyes to her.

“What are you doing?” Zoey asked her and Molly smiled.

“I am being pleasant, you asked me to be, so I am.”

“You are flirting with him, I never said to do that.”

Molly stepped up to her daughter and leaned in.

“You really need to have better self-esteem
, Zoey. He obviously cares for you. I mean for Christ’s sake, I can smell it from here.”

“So glad you approve of him,
” Zoey said as Molly watched her expression, which was one of sarcasm.

“You know,
he does look so much like his father.”

Molly acted as if she was going to say m
ore but August returned with a container holding all three drinks. He pulled out Zoey’s first and handed it to her and then handed Molly her cup as she whimpered a bit at the heat she felt to her hand. August held it for her and smiled. Zoey rolled her eyes and took a sip of her own. Molly then wrapped her arm into his and grinned as she pulled him along with her.
