Nodding in agreement, he wanted nothing more than for Sage to accept them all in her life.

“Good, now let’s go out back, so you can all chat to the guys.” His father walked toward the back, as he and both his brothers followed behind.

As they stepped out, he heard Sage laugh at what one of the boys said to her. His fists clenched beside him as she and his mother stood at the end of the table, handing out drinks to all the workers.

His eyes strayed to hers, but she wasn’t looking at him.

“Well, I’ll be damned; lads lock up your girls, cos the Harper boys are back and going to be causing trouble by the night’s end.”

Laughing at Willy, expecting him to say something like that, Logan walked over and shook the man’s hand. “It’s been a while since I saw you last, old man. How’s it going?”

“Old man? The little pipsqueak can talk. Ready to rumble with the big boys, son?”

“I’d run circles around you and the rest of them, and you know it,” Logan laughed. Old Man Willy loved to stir the pot with them all. He had kept their secret safe the day he found all four of them, naked in the barn with the neighbour’s daughter between them.

It was quite a shock to the old man that the four of them, him being nineteen at the time, were sharing a girl between them. Logan couldn’t quite explain how they were all happy about sharing a woman with each other. It was a little hard to explain, especially back then; they’d said it was just a little fun they were having. But when it happened again a year later, and sure enough Willy found them with their pants down around their ankles, and a girl sucking each of them off in front of each other, it was clearly a bit more than experimental fun.

Logan knew then that they had a strong bond between them. It wasn’t every day that you heard that brothers shared their lovers with each other, or just some girl they wanted. The day Sage walked into their lives, he was twenty-three, Mac twenty-two, Caleb twenty and Zeb nineteen. She was only fifteen and such a pretty little thing. She used to follow them around everywhere they went. They allowed her to come on overnight musters with them, then it lead to whole-weekend musters. He wanted to spend every second with her. He wanted her from the first day his eyes had landed on her, but with the age difference, nothing could be done. He fought against what his body wanted then, and he still did. But this time, he could do something about it.

One night, she kissed him out of the blue. Logan hadn’t been expecting it, and the sensation he got with having her lips on him was a combination of shock and arousal all in one, but he couldn’t do anything about it. She was underage, and Sage’s father would have killed him if he ever laid a hand on her.

So the only way to get her out of his system was he and his brothers hooked up with Rebecca Dandridge. He wasn’t expecting Sage to find them in a compromising position with Rebecca, but he never stopped what he was doing. He recalled Sage’s eyes misting over as realization hit her; he was sure she thought she would never have him or his brothers.

After that, she closed off from them, never coming over to see them, or even talking to them when they spoke to her. It broke his heart knowing he had hurt her so badly, but it was the only thing they could do to stop her from involving herself with them at that age.

Sage’s laughter broke Logan from his memory and he looked in her direction. One of the guys flicked his finger at her to come closer to him. As she bent towards him, the guys who sat behind him got a great view of her ass.

Logan stomped down towards them and pulled her away from prying eyes. The men’s eyes bulged out of their heads as Logan stood there staring at them.

“Hey, what the hell are you doing? I was talking to them,” she hissed, her face red.

Pulling her into his body, his hand pressed against her stomach as he looked down to the guy who had asked her to lean forward.

He didn’t need to say a word to him; it was pretty clear the statement he was making in front of them all—she was his, and only his, and his brothers as well.

The guy glanced at her and then back to him before he nodded once and turned back to the guys at the table. Stepping back from the table, he walked her back towards his father and brothers at the end of the room. Their father had a grin over his face, but his brothers were clearly furious. They were pissed at the fact that the one guy did that on purpose, for all his friends to see.

“Let go of me,” Sage said as she pulled at her arm. Logan’s grip tightened around her elbow as he stood with Caleb in front of her. Logan shoved her towards Caleb, still holding on to her.

“You’re hurting me,” she whispered, a wobble in her voice.

Logan’s eyes searched hers, and he realised that he was holding onto her a little harder than before. Pulling his hand back from her, she rubbed over the area where he had held. Logan took a step forward towards her, which resulted in her stepping back and into the arms of Caleb.

Fuck!
He needed to rein in his possessiveness of her.

“I didn’t mean to hurt you, spitfire.”

Shaking her head, she turned into Caleb’s embrace and walked back into the house with him.

Jesus, this wasn’t going too well, and they had only just arrived.

He let her go into the house as he stood out the back, meeting and talking to all of the workers. Some he already knew, and for others, this was the first time he was meeting them.

As he caught up with the men he knew, several of the new ones he noticed kept looking towards the entrance of the house, obviously wanting a glimpse of Sage. They were in for a rude shock if they thought that they could get anywhere near her.

After lunch Logan, Caleb and Zeb all went out to the barn to see what his father and Willy needed help with. All the girls were inside talking up a storm with his mum, and Logan was happy they decided to stay there. He didn’t want Sage or the other girls out in the yard, distracting them or the workers. With the way they were, it wouldn’t be long before they were out there with them.

A
fter Helen left them to do what they wanted, Sage and the girls walked up to her room to change. Bri and Lilly were pushing each other into each door they walked passed, wanting to know where the boys were staying and if any of the workers stayed in the house.

Pushing her door open, Sage burst their bubble. “Guys, none of the workers stay in the main house. They all stay out in the workers’ quarters.”

“They all stay in one place, together?” Bri asked as she sat down on the bed, as Lilly sat on her too. Bri pushed her off onto the floor, laughing, as Kaidence sat in the chair.

Walking into the bathroom, she shouted, “Yep, that’s where they all stay. The only ones allowed to stay in the house are family only.”

“Anyone say massive orgy? So up for that, plenty to go around,” Kaidence said.

All the girls started laughing, discussing which of the ranch hands they were interested in. Sage wasn’t interested in any of them, besides the Harper clan; no one else drew her attention more than those hunks of men.

Sliding out of her shorts and t-shirt, she had a quick shower to wash off the sweat from the drive and other things, and opted for a pair of ripped denim shorts that sat under her ass and a tight singlet to show off her generous breasts.

Walking back out, she picked up her cowboy boots and sat down to pull them on.

“Well, someone’s making a statement,” Lilly said.

“I have no idea what you are talking about, Lil.” Sage replied, standing up and pulling her blonde hair into a ponytail.

“Keep telling yourself that, sweet cheeks. We all know that you have a thing, more like a fucking huge thing for the Harper boys, who bloody wouldn’t? They’re yummy.” Lilly raised her eyebrows, and wiggled them and smiled.

Rolling her eyes, Sage asked, “Well, are you coming or not? I think it’s time to stir the pot a bit, don’t you think?” She placed her hand on her hip. Since neither of them spoke to her besides the incident at the table out back, that was the only time Logan spoke to her. She wanted their forgiveness for her behaviour at the servo. She needed to take their mind off what happened there and just now. If it resulted in her wearing less clothing to change their minds, well, so be it. She didn’t like the silence between them; she just needed to distract them.

“Oh, goody. Let’s see how far you can push the boys. It’s about time you had some fun with them,” Kaidence grinned as she fixed herself up and walked towards the door.

“About fucking time. I was getting bored sitting up here. Need to see me some real cowboys doing some hard work.” Bri fanned herself as she spoke.

Lilly laughed as they all made their way downstairs and out the back door. She knew the boys would be close to the barn, so she headed in that direction, with the girls in tow. She pointed out parts of the ranch to them, explaining how certain things worked. Half the trucks were gone from the side; the men were either fixing the fence line or doing something else equally sweat creating.

As they approached the barn, Sage heard grunts and yelling coming from the opposite side of the barn. Frowning, she followed the noise, telling the girls to be quiet as they came to the end of the barn. Stopping for a moment, the noises continued. Taking a breath, Sage stepped around the corner and gasped. All three of the girls slammed into her back, but she stood there dumbstruck.

“What the fuck, Sage! Why did you stop?” Lilly groaned at her.

“Well, I’ll be damned,” Kaidence mumbled.

“Holy fucking God damn, shit,” Bri added.

All four women stood there, mouths hanging open as eight men, only wearing jeans and cowboy hats, worked on the back entrance to the barn.

Five of them were holding up the new door, as the other three attached the bolts to hold it together. Eight fine-ass sexy men, sweat running down their bodies, muscles moving under the weight of the door, greeted them. Jesus almighty, Sage needed a cold shower right now to cool herself down.

“Oh, my God, I think I just had an orgasm from watching them,” Bri said.

“No need for battery-powered toys this weekend when you have the real damn thing in front of you,” Lilly added, smiling.

“Holy fuck, is that guy hard or what?” Kaidence asked.

Sage’s eyes landed on the one that Kaidence pointed to. She couldn’t quite tell from her angle. Although all of them were pretty damn hot to her, she only had eyes for three of them.

Logan let go of the door first, then Caleb. Zeb was climbing down the ladder, and sweet Jesus, his ass in those killer jeans was to die for.

Gulping, she needed a drink; her mouth dried up the moment her eyes landed on all eight of them working. Her gaze followed Logan as he moved away from the rest and to the table at the end. Picking up a bottle of water, his throat worked as he swallowed the cool liquid. Then removing his hat, he tipped the remaining water over his head.

She watched as little streams of water ran down his face, his neck, down over his chest and ended at his jeans. Licking her lips, the top of his jeans darkened as the water drenched them.

God, she was close to having an orgasm just watching him. Picking up several more bottles of water, he threw one towards Caleb, then Zeb and the rest of the guys working.

“Fuck me. I think they need more water. I’m getting the Goddamn hose. I want to see how they all look when covered in water,” Kaidence gasped, before she ran off, deadly serious.

Bri and Lilly giggled beside her, as the rest of the cowboys did the same as Logan had done.

“Shit! Is there a creek or waterhole around here somewhere? I want to take them all swimming,” Lilly whispered.

Sage swallowed several times as she watched the water drip down over Caleb’s body. Her mouth watered only for a second, wanting to follow to where the water went with her tongue.

Her eyes strayed to Zeb next, but didn’t get enough time to roam her eyes over him, as she was hit in the back with extremely cold water. Gasping, Sage spun around. “Seriously, what the hell, bitch?” she whisper-hissed, as she pulled her drenched singlet away from her body.

Kaidence grinned at her. “You’re not the only one who needs to cool off after seeing them like that.”

The hose turned to her again. “I swear if you do that again, I’m going to hurt you.”

Kaidence never said anything to her as she drenched her in water. Screaming, she stepped forward, trying to get it out of her hands. All of them stood, looking like drowned rats as they fought Kaidence for the hose. Laughing, she ripped it out of her hands and wet the rest of them.

Sage’s hair stuck to her face as she fell into the mud at her feet, pulling Kaidence and Bri down with her while they tried to rip the hose from her hands. But she wasn’t giving it up. If they wanted a water fight, they were getting one. Lilly’s foot got tangled up in the hose and she fell atop of Kaidence. Pushing her off, they all laid there laughing at each other as the hose continued to pump water around them.

It felt good to have a decent laugh. She hadn’t had one like this in a really long time; Sage missed having this kind of fun with her girls, even if it looked like they were mud wrestling.

CHAPTER
TWELVE

––––––––

O
nce the door was attached, Logan walked over to grab a drink. The heat on the ranch was hitting close to being in the forties. Having no breeze meant they were in for a storm over the next couple of days. After his drink, he passed one out to each of the men who helped with the door. As Logan stood there admiring their handy work, he heard a high-pitched scream from the side of the barn. Glancing at the other men, they all shrugged their shoulders.

Frowning, Logan and the rest of the men walked over to the side of the barn. As he stepped out from the side, someone behind him whistled at what greeted them.

There lay Sage, Bri, Lilly and Kaidence as they fought for the hose that was still on. They were soaked and covered in mud. Holy shit, Sage looked sexy as hell.
Shit
, he thought, she looked like his wet-fucking-dream for every man in the barn to see. Stomping over to the tap, he switched it off and moved back to where they were. Standing above them, Logan’s shadow fell upon them.
