At the cross, Jesus took on Himself the bitter sting of every one of your frustrations, hurts and emotional pains when He wore the crown of thorns on your behalf. He did it so that you can be free from fears, depression and stress, and enjoy His peace and rest in your heart, mind and body.

The Lord is my shepherd; I have all
that I need. He lets me rest in green
meadows; He leads me beside peaceful
streams. He renews my strength.
He guides me along right paths,
bringing honor to His name.

—P
SALM 23:1–3, NLT

I am the good shepherd. The good
shepherd gives His life for the sheep.

Jesus Is Your Good Shepherd

When I was a young believer, I heard a preacher say, “In order to draw a straying lamb to him, a shepherd will break its legs. When it’s unable to walk, he will nurse the lamb back to health. Once it’s healthy again, the lamb will be attached to him.” That terrifying picture of a shepherd stuck in my head for years!

One day, I was able to ask a real shepherd if that story was true. Aghast, he replied, “That’s nonsense! What kind of shepherd does that?”

Sadly, there are people today who still believe this nonsense. Beloved, Jesus is our
good
shepherd. When He is your shepherd, you will not want for
anything.
He is your supply of everything you need. He does not “break your legs”. Instead, He leads you to places of rest, refreshing, healing and renewal of strength!

God…shares with us the life of His Son
and our Master Jesus. He will never give
up on you. Never forget that.

Partners And Partakers

Make no mistake: Jesus is the purest form of life, and He’s called us to share intimately with Him this incredible God-kind of life. It’s a life where sicknesses and diseases have NO PLACE. And when you became a born-again believer, God qualified you to partake of this life.

In the face of your symptoms, in the midst of your fears and worries, see yourself—spirit, soul and body—immersed and surrounded by the very life that fills our Lord Jesus. It will swallow up every symptom of pain, weakness and death until you are walking in its fullness!

Jesus stopped and said, “Call him.”
So they called to the blind man,
“Cheer up! On your feet! He’s calling
you.” Throwing his cloak aside, he
jumped to his feet and came to Jesus.
“What do you want Me to do for
you?” Jesus asked him. The blind man
said, “Rabbi, I want to see.” “Go,” said
Jesus, “your faith has healed you.”
Immediately he received his sight and
followed Jesus along the road.

Your Need Is Your Qualification

Bartimaeus was a blind beggar at the gate of Jericho. Talk about being insignificant. Not only was he just another beggar in a place probably swarming with them, he didn’t even have a real name—“Bartimaeus” merely means “son of Timaeus”!

And yet Jesus, the King of heaven and the incarnate Son of God, stopped in His tracks when this blind, nameless and often-ignored beggar called out to Him. Jesus heard him and had compassion on him, and responded to his need. He treated Bartimaeus with respect, empathized with the desire of his heart and set him free to see again.

Like Bartimaeus,
your need is your qualification for His miracle.
And when it comes to your need, it is NEVER too insignificant to Jesus!

Then great multitudes came to Him,
having with them the lame, blind,
mute, maimed, and many others;
and they laid them down at
Jesus’ feet, and He healed them.

—M
ATTHEW 15:30

Jesus had compassion on them and
touched their eyes. Immediately they
received their sight and followed him.

ATTHEW 20:34, NIV

All you need to do

for God to heal you is to

come to Him
