He was kind and caring, treating Spencer like a cherished lover. Even when his mate took him roughly, Bear was still gentle. It was as if he was afraid he would break Spencer. He didn’t want his mate to hold back. Spencer wanted to experience every heart-stopping moment.
“Don’t hold back on me,” Spencer said as he ran his hands over Bear’s short-cropped hair. “Give me everything that you have been keeping inside of you.”
Bear scowled deeply. “I’m almost twice your size in height and width. I hold back because I could accidentally hurt you. I couldn’t live with myself if something like that happened.”
Spencer reached up and rubbed the palm of his hand over Bear’s furrowed eyebrows. “I’m a big boy. I can handle whatever you have to give.” Spencer wasn’t sure if he was speaking the truth or not, but he didn’t like the idea of his mate treating him with kid gloves.
He might be fairly new to sex, but Spencer felt as if he were being cheated. Not that the sex wasn’t already spectacular, but he wanted everything Bear had to offer.
Spencer’s body arched into his mate’s as Bear stroked him, every inch of him hypersensitive and greedy for his touch. Spencer couldn’t get close enough, couldn’t hold Bear tight enough. He was desperate, a coil of need tightening inside of him.
“Slow down, my little impala. You must learn patience.” Bear carried Spencer’s fingers to his lips with tender care and total reverence. And when he kissed the heart of his palm, and then lavished the same soft worship on his mouth, Spencer was lost to him completely.
The kiss was hot, a savoring caress as he kissed Spencer’s breath away. His kisses grew more demanding, more savage. Spencer reveled in his passion, his breath catching as he wound his legs around Bear’s waist, his mate kissing him even deeper.
Spencer’s body began to throb with the need to have Bear deep inside of him. His blood went molten, desire hot and possessive in his veins. There was nothing more intimate than the bond they shared. There was nothing more precious than being bound to Bear for as long as they both drew breath.
“Make love to me, Bear. I can’t take this leisurely torture.” Bear’s eyes were centered on Spencer, watching him, exploring him.
And then Bear showed him no mercy. He was giving Spencer exactly what he had been begging for. The only thing was, Spencer had no idea what he had unleashed. But he didn’t try to resist as Bear drew back, panting and wild, his eyes the color of mercury.
“On your hands and knees.” The command was sharp, Bear’s voice dark and powerful as Spencer twisted around until his ass was at Bear’s groin. He wasn’t sure what his mate was going to do. The anticipation rocked through Spencer, making his arms quiver as he held his breath.
He felt something wet at his ass but Bear’s fingers didn’t enter him. One large palm lay centered on his back, and then Bear was pushing his shoulders down toward the mattress. “Don’t move.”
Spencer didn’t plan to. His cock was hard and hot between his legs, but he remained very still. A quick inhale of breath was all he had time for as Bear drove his cock deep inside Spencer. Bear was only doing what Spencer had said he could handle.
Ah, fuck…
Spencer felt as if he was losing his mind with each thrust, each curl of Bear’s hips, seating himself continuously in Spencer’s ass. Bear’s cock was sliding back and forth within the tight confines between the crease of Spencer’s backside, driving Spencer crazy with the hard heat of his mate’s arousal.
Bear scooped him up, holding Spencer under his arms as he jackhammered inside of him. “Is this what you wanted, my little impala, to feel me lose control?” On the last word, Bear thrust so deep that Spencer screamed out in pleasure as his mate brought his canines down onto Spencer’s shoulder, biting deep.
Bear’s growl was deep, throaty, and wild as Spencer’s body shot its release, a rushing, endless stream. His body felt like it was boiling over as the explosion seemed never-ending.
Bear pulled his canines free. “Fuck. Yeah.” His arms became steel bands around Spencer as his hips quickened with unbelievable speed. Bear fell forward, taking Spencer with him as he pounded his ass a few more times before his mate growled out his release in savagery.
Spencer wasn’t sure what happened after that because he fell into a bone-weary, exhausting sleep.

Bear stood on the back porch, glancing at the flower boxes Spencer had hung along the railing. At first he hadn’t been sure if he would like the frilly things on the back porch, but once Spencer had all of them hung and the flowers planted, they looked absolutely wonderful.
The house was starting to feel like a home with each passing day. He had finally gotten the closet built. The carpenter had exceeded Bear’s expectations. All of Spencer’s clothes actually fit with room to spare. Bear was thoroughly impressed.
He listened to his mate putter around the house as he stared off into the forest. Bear hoped like hell that the chaos would now cease. Since finding his mate, it seemed like fate was testing their bond.
Recker was still at Maverick’s, and the cashier who had been shot had recovered. Bear had received a phone call saying that his truck had been found, but it was totaled.
He couldn’t even muster the anger about what had happened to his truck. The insurance money would replace it. Just as long as Spencer and Johnny hadn’t been harmed, Bear couldn’t have cared less. The day after Sampson had been arrested, Harley was no longer around.
Leigh was finally out of the hospital, but still had some healing to do. Bear hoped like hell the man didn’t tease another shifter. He wasn’t sure the man would survive much longer if he didn’t learn to leave people the hell alone.
That made Bear smile. Bailey seemed to be doing a lot better, slowly coming back to his old self. Bear never wanted to know what a broken heart felt like. Sampson was currently serving time in a psychiatric hospital where he belonged. Bear could only shake his head at one man’s selfishness and the path of destruction he had left behind.
Bear lifted his arm up and wrapped it around Spencer as his mate wandered outside. They stood there in silence and enjoyed the view. Finding this house had been like finding a diamond in the rough. It was perfect in every way. They had their seclusion, a beautiful view, and nothing too big and fancy.
As he dropped a kiss on the top of his mate’s head, Bear had never felt happier or more at peace in his life. He stood there and promised himself that he would always put Spencer first and let the man know every day just how much he cared. Spencer had become his entire world. Before his mate had come along Bear had been merely content. Now he looked forward to each and every moment that he shared with his little impala—organic food and all.
