I knew what it was as soon as I felt
the first flutterings of wakefulness.

The heaviness on my finger brought a
sweet lightness to my heart.

Rolling over with a smile, I nuzzled
the warm hardness next to me while putting my knee to good use on his morning
hardness.

"Uhmmmmm..."

My moan was cut short as I found
myself thrown under his larger body. A few thrusts of his fingers to get my
juices flowing, my leg was thrown over his arm and he drove home with force.

"This is going to be
quick." He growled in my ear and had cooch swooning.

"Holy..."

I'm on sensory overload, my senses
are so open, I can feel every ridge of his cock as he glides in and out of me.

The hardness of his chest pressed
against mine, the slight scruff of his morning beard against my cheek as he
buried his face in my neck.

The sounds we made made my heart beat
faster as my body kept time with his.

Everything else faded away as I used
the heels of my feet to pull him deeper inside as my fingers dug into his
scalp.

His hands under me lifted me into his
every hard thrust.

"Fuck beauty..."

That's all I heard before his teeth
bit into my jaw with just enough sting to get my attention.

I came so hard I thought I would
break his dick off, even lifting his body with mine.

Coming down I could feel his heart
beat in his cock as he pulsed and flowed, spurting inside me. His growls and
expletives sending me over the edge one last time.

When he finally stopped moving I was
done for.

"You've killed me."

"Merry Xmas baby."

He tried to swallow my tongue with
his kiss.

"Let's just stay here all
day."

"You better get a move on we
have company."

Shit, I'd forgotten all about that.

I took the time to admire my ring for
the first time it was gorgeous.

Wow, I know absolutely nothing about
these things, but the size and clarity of the diamond spoke to the girly girl
in me.

"I love my ring, thank
you."

"I'm glad you like it, it was my
great great grandmothers, hasn't been worn in about a hundred years."

"How come? It's so
beautiful."

"It's supposed to be passed to
the eldest son to give to his wife, but for some reason after the first fifty
years all the women wanted Cartier and Tiffany's this is from the Royal House
of Asscher in Amsterdam, one of the first made."

"Wow, I love it, it's gorgeous I
love the history behind it too."

I turned my finger this way and that
in the light from the windows as he grinned at me.

"So who all is down there
anyway?"

"I only saw Cindy, mom and I
think Troy her boyfriend, but I'm pretty sure there're others down there by
now."

"Told you so."

"I have a feeling this day is
going to hold a lot of surprises for us."

"I have to start cooking, I
can't think about your sister and her craziness right now, it's Xmas."

"More, what the heck could you
possibly have left to cook?"

"I was just prepping stuff last
night babe, today is actual cooking day."

"You had me up all night doing prep?"

"Yep, so now we can have a nice
Xmas with our surprise guests, that's another tradition."

He kissed my forehead sweetly before
we rolled out of bed and headed to the showers.

It was ten o'clock in the morning
already by the time we headed downstairs.

There was a mountain of presents
spreading from under the tree to the middle of the room, welcome to Reid land.

I think there were bodies under there
as well.

There are about twelve bedrooms in
this place so why people were laying around on the floor out there was a
mystery, unless Cynthia had brought half of the town.

"Tanner how many people are
here?"

"I have no idea, but I think I
saw one of my men out there."

"You're helping me make
breakfast."

"I thought men couldn't
cook!"

"You can follow instructions
let's go."

I got the ingredients to make a Xmas
breakfast, it looked like we had a good twenty people from the bodies I'd
eyeballed in the living room plus the fact that I think all the bedrooms are
full, the fact that most of them were men, huh...

"If you want me to help you, you
have to lose the apron."

"Try to control yourself we
just...you know...once in the bedroom and again in the shower, you can't
possibly be horny again."

I felt my face heat up of course.

"Babe, you had me waiting two years
what do you expect?"

"Yeah okay, just try to keep it
in your shorts for the next hour or so horny toad."

Was it normal to be this happy, I
mean what are the odds of me getting everything I wanted just like that?

People seem to think that because you
have money everything came easy, that's not always true.

I might be able to buy whatever the
fuck I want, but when it comes to matters of the heart it's not so easy.

To have ended my stint of putting my
life in danger, a situation I would never have put her through, she was too
young to be an Army wife, dealing with long absences and constant worrying. So
to have that come to an end and get her all in the space of a few days that was
nothing short of divine providence.

I had a big sappy grin on my face, I
always knew I wanted my wife to wear that ring, my great-grandparents
supposedly had a long and extremely happy not to mention fruitful marriage.

I wanted the same for us, I want my
wife to enjoy the fruits of my labor, to do and be what ever she desired.

She looks so happy as she flits
around the kitchen giving out orders like a gunnery sergeant.

She soon had me measuring out flour
and sugar and eggs and cream and who knows what since she was going so fast.

In about ten minutes the kitchen
smelt amazing, she'd sliced huge chunks of bread and soaked it in an egg
mixture, which she then put in the oven while she had me chopping bananas.

I'm trying to stay out of her way as
she bustled around like a worker bee.

Cynthia bounced into the kitchen half
an hour later, her usual chirpy self.

"Hey it's my two favorite people
ever."

She gave us both hugs and kisses
before she started rattling off our orders for the day.

I haven't told Anna what I suspected,
that we would be married by the end of the day, but Cynthia was about to drop
the bomb on her.

"So after breakfast we have a
lot to do, Vonda's on the ball, the registrar's a cousin of hers so the license
has been signed for in proxy, the food is already covered, the officiate will
be here at sunset, it's going to be a beach wedding."

"How did you do all this
Cindy?" I tried to get a word in when she came up for air.

"Tanner your sister has been
planning state dinners and royal soirees since she was six years old, you
should know, you've been her guest for many a high tea over the years."

"Mom…so she told you?" Mom
came into the kitchen looking rested.

"Yes, and I'd like to know why
you didn't."

"It all happened so
fast..."

"That's okay son, your nosy
sister explained everything, welcome to the family Anna-Maria, not that you
weren't already part of my clan, but it's good to make it official. I couldn't
have chosen better for my first born."

Anna hadn't said a word since the
interruptions and I looked at her now to find her teary eyed.

I walked over to her side and hugged
her close.

She finally found her voice.

"Thanks Tessa, that means a lot,
so you really don't mind?"

"Silly girl of course not."

"Okay now that we've got that
out of the way, Anna you don't have to go anywhere or do anything, everyone is
coming to you, by twelve they should start arriving..."

"Who's arriving for what
Cynthia, I still don't know what you're babbling about?"

"Your wedding silly, your hair
and makeup people will be here first, your dress is hanging in my room..."

Cynthia kept going but I stopped
listening after I ascertained that Anna wasn't about to run screaming from the
island, in fact she seemed to be taking it all in stride as she went back to
mixing her batter.

"Son, did Cynthia tell
you...?"

"I don't see why we have to be
here, who ever heard of a tropical Xmas, shouldn't there be snow?"

"You've got to be shitting
me." I looked over at Cynthia, no fucking way.

Cynthia scrunched up her face like a
sour lemon.

"Trust me we tried to lose her
but no dice, I think she figured out that you might be here, or Pamela told
her."

"Who? What's going on?"

Before I could answer Anna Yvette and
Pamela entered the room.

And this is where my headache began,
an actual throbbing behind my eyes.

She of course made a beeline for me
but I sidestepped her easily by heading in the opposite direction in the
pretense of greeting Pamela.

There was no point in blaming Pamela
for any of this, there's no way she could've known that I was newly engaged.

"Tanner it's so amazing to find
you here, I've been so worried that no one seemed to now where you
were..."

"Hello Yvette how are you?"

"Fine now that you're
here."

I saw Anna arch her brow, oh shit;
how the fuck do I get out of this situation without too many hurt feelings? Not
that I gave a shit about Yvette's feelings but I didn't want Anna thinking that
there was anything going on between us, not on her wedding day.

"Anna, I don't recall seeing you
board the plane with us."

Pamela looked a little confused.

"That's because she didn't,
she's been here with Tanner all this time." I could just see the malicious
gleam in the pixie's eyes.

"Who is that?" Yvette had
an ugly sneer on her face as she turned to look at Anna from across the room
where she'd been in the process of following after me.

"Yvette allow me to introduce
you to my new daughter in law."

She screeched, no seriously, I
couldn't reproduce that sound if my life depended on it. Then she pointed her
well manicured finger at my beauty and declared...

"But she's so...ordinary
looking."

And this is the point where the
headache became a full blown migraine because my lovely fiancé threw her bowl
of whatever the hell she was stirring, one handed I might add, at Yvette.

She didn't miss.

There was batter from the top of her
head to the thighs of her designer slacks. You could hear the thump of the
heavy ceramic bowl as it connected with her chest.

Cynthia, ever the helpful one caught
the bowl before it shattered on the marble floor.

That screeching started up again and
my head was done.

"Oops, I guess there'll be no
waffles this Xmas." Anna-Maria dead panned.

"Were you making your praline
waffles?"

"Yes Cindy I was."

"Oh hell no, I'll help you get
the stuff together, I love your waffles."

"What...waff...you're discussing
waffles after what that...thing did to me?"

I got between them just in time to
save her stupid ass from a face punch if Anna's folded fist was anything to go
by.

"Easy there slugger."

"Who is this insect and why is
she in my world?" Anna actually growled at me with what looked like murder
in her eyes.

Yvette was spluttering all over her
face, she really needed to go do something about the mess that she was.

"How dare you, I'm calling the
police, what's the number for nine one one in this godforsaken place?"

No one bothered to answer her as she continued
her threats. I had to put Anna in a semi headlock to keep her from going after
her again.

Dad, Doc and Justin came into the
room, obviously to see what all the ruckus was about.

Doc for some inexplicable reason took
one look at Yvette, then me, then Anna, and shook his head.

"Okay champ what did she call
you, scrawny?"

"Nope, she went with
ordinary."

"Oh shit, uh, Yvette is
it?"

He walked over to her as I looked at
the other players in the room, especially my proper to her bones mother.
