Acknowledgments
Special thanks goes to my awesome editor, Tracy Bernstein. I learned a lot from you, and thank you for
your time and excellent edits. What a pleasure it was to work with you, and what a joy it is knowing we
will be working together again. You really helped make this book live up to its title!

“I likemywomen the way I like my recipes: fast, easy and full of variety.”
There was a pregnant pause, followed by a raised brow and a flash of blue-green eyes above the spine
of the glossy magazine. “Did you really say that?”
The look that greeted him from across the table momentarily gave him pause. Then he smiled, turning on
the renowned charm that now came automatically to him. “Of course not.”
The brow went up again—a challenge—before her gaze lowered once more to the magazine. “The sexy
chef was then overheard saying, ‘Mar riage? God, no. The only housewives I’m into are the ones who
tune into my cooking show hoping to add some spice to their dreary lives. Ihave to likethem . After all,
they’re the ones who’ve made me rich.”
Again with the questioning brow. This time, though, there was an unavoidable air of disapproval as she
stared him down. “I did not sayany of that,” he exploded.
“But you did say the first bit, about how you like your women?”
Bryce felt his face heat up. “OK, I said that. But not the other part. I wouldnever say something so
demeaning.”
“Because it would cost you your career, or because you don’t really feel that way toward the poor,
overworked housewives the world over?”
Tossing his napkin onto the table, Bryce slid deeper into the plush velvet seat of the booth. He surveyed
his dinner companion, not entirely certain he knew her.
