“Oh, Baby, I cannot wait to make love to you,” says
Monique, turning on the stereo in case her hermanas walked by.

“My Cielo, you’re killing me and you know it,” replies
Christian, moaning turning over to his side to adjust himself. Good thing that
the other SEALs are still out.

“Baby, dream of me and remember that te amo,” says
Monique, smiling with pleasure, recognizing his need in his husky voice.

“Si, my Cielo, I will. You dream of me loving you,”
says Christian, with a husky voice.

“Buenas noches, my Baby, and dios te bendiga,” replies
Monique, trying not to cry.

“My Cielo, te amo, I will be there soon,” says
Christian, looking at the SEALs that are walking into the room. “I have to go. I’ll
call you manana.”

“Si, Baby, manana,” says Monique, ending the call with
a sigh, looking at their photos.
I need to pack and I’ll wait until my Baby
takes me to his casa to meet his padres,
thinks Monique.

Chapter
Eighteen

Monique rises and goes to work enjoying the fact that
she has a great job and a great esposo.
I love his familia. They’re so sweet
,
thinks Monique, walking into the office.

“Good morning, Jessy,” says Monique, smiling going to
her after putting her purse in her desk. “Is there anything you want me to
start on today?”

“Si, Monique, I want you to start reviewing all the packages
that we have to offer our clients. I want you to be familiarized with the
products and our suppliers. Monique, we need to get this department running
smoothly,” smiles Jessy, looking at Monique. “Both of us are part of la familia
and the company. I will be getting married at the end of July. We will most
likely be having our bebe’s about the same time. Jose Enrique and I were
discussing the fact that we will be out more often than not in the next six to
eight months,” says Jessy, smiling, blushing, and looking at Monique.

“Si, Jessy, your right. I just didn’t think about my
marriage and bebe affecting my job,” says Monique, blushing.

“I know what you mean. I never dreamed that I would be
getting married and having a bebe,” replies Jessy, sitting down. “Jose Enrique
suggests that we hire another Interior Decorating Design assistant because we
will be out often. I know I will. I know that when my bebe is born, I wouldn’t
want to leave him.”

“I haven’t thought about the bebe and his needs. I
will talk to Christian and see what he wants,” says Monique, sitting down to
work.

“Do you think it’s a great idea hiring another
Interior Decorating Design assistant? I don’t want you to feel that we’re
replacing you,” says Jessy, looking at Monique with concern.

“I think that’s the best decision, Jessy. We might
have our bebe’s at the same time. I need to talk to Christian about my job. Jessy,
maybe we can take turns coming in during the week to monitor the new assistant
after the bebe’s are born. I don’t know, it’s just a thought,” says Monique,
looking at Jessy.

“Monique, that’s a great idea and maybe we can do half
days or rotate days. I don’t know, but it will be an option. We wouldn’t be
giving up our dream of our career. Maybe we don’t want a career after the
bebe’s are born,” says Jessy, looking at Monique.

“Monique I need you to keep my pregnancy quiet. We’re
not married yet and it will cause issues,” says Jessy, blushing.

“Don’t worry, Jessy, no worries,” says Monique,
blushing because she also slept with Christian before marrying.

Hmmm, I didn’t think about after the bebe is born. Will
I be able to leave my bebe? Does Christian want me to stay home and take care
of our bebe? I need to discuss this with Christian
, thinks Monique.

Monique works hard all day and then goes to lunch by
herself. Jessy, Bella, and Paty are having lunch with their novios.

Monique arrives at her casa after work, tired. She
starts to pack some of her stuff.
I’m taking all of my new outfits and my
favorite old clothes,
thinks Monique, going through her closet.

Her Hermana, Gabriella, walks into her room to help
her. “Hermana, I’m going to miss you,” says Gabriella, trying not to cry. “Your
wedding happened so fast, that I didn’t have time to get used to you having a
novio, and much less having an esposo.”

Monique grins at her hermana with laughter in her eyes.
“Gabriella, it’s not like I’m moving far. It’s just around the corner,” says
Monique, smiling. “Besides, I’ll be visiting you and you will be visiting me.”

“Okay, maybe I’m over reacting,” replies Gabriella,
grinning.

“Mis hijas, dinner is ready,” says Mama Ana.

“I’m hungry,” says Monique. She has dinner and chats
with her familia.

After dinner, Monique returns to her packing and waits
for Christian to call. The cell rings and Monique answers, closing her door.

“Baby, I miss you,” says Monique, pouting, wanting
with all of her heart to feel him in her arms. “I want to make love to you.”

“My Cielo, you’re killing me and I’ll be home in
forty-eight hours,” says Christian, grinning with felicidad.
Oh yeah, it’s
getting closer to when I see her
.

“Christian, you’re not funny,” replies Monique, not at
all happy about knowing how many more hours. “It seems like forever to me.”

“I know, my Cielo. I’m dying to be there with you,”
replies Christian in a husky voice.

“Baby, I was talking to Jessy today at work. She says
that Jose Enrique thinks that it will be a great idea to hire another Interior
Decorating Design assistant. They feel that we will be out real often in the
next six to eight months with the bebe’s. I told her that it sounds like a
great idea. I didn’t think about the bebe’s needs and care. Baby, do you want
me to take care of our bebe or do you want me to return to work?  I don’t know
how I’ll feel about leaving our small bebe?  I don’t think that I will want to
leave our bebe.  I also told her maybe we can take turns going in half days or
rotating days as an option. Baby, what do you think?” ask Monique, gazing at
his picture.

“My Cielo, you’re right. I haven’t thought that far
ahead. I can understand the thought process of hiring another assistant to fill
in when one or both of you are absent. I definitely want you to take care of
our bebe. I know that your career is important. I don’t want to ask you to give
it up, but I know that our bebe will be small. Our bebe will need you. I will
be working. I have enough money and will earn enough money to support my familia”
says Christian, totally a macho Mexicano.

“Baby, I thought that you would say that.  I know that
I want to take care of our bebe. I don’t want to give up my career, but our
bebe is much more important,” replies Monique, smiling rubbing her stomach. “Will
you mind if I work until I get too tired to work?”

“My Cielo, you can work as long as you like when you
like. I just want to be real clear. I want you to take care of our bebe,” says
Christian, looking at Gabriel walk up to him.

Christian motions to Gabriel, what’s up? Gabriel
motions that it’s important. Christian motions to wait.

“Baby, I’ll be ready when you get here. Will you be
here early Friday?” asks Monique, breathless with anticipation.

“Si, my Cielo, I’ll be there early,” replies Christian,
smiling, counting the minutes to leave.

“Okay, I’ll see you then. Adios, Baby,” says Monique, smiling.

“Adios, my Cielo, I’ll see you in a few hours,” says
Christian, ending the call. He turns to Gabriel, raising his eyebrow in question.

“What’s so important?” asks Christian looking at
Gabriel, waiting for the news.

“Christian, I got a call from Jose Enrique. He’s
requesting that you call him Friday or show up at the office at about one. He said
it’s real important,” says Gabriel, looking at his SEAL bud.

“Why didn’t he call me?” asks Christian, wondering
what’s up.

“He said that he tried calling you several times. He
said that your phone was busy. He said he didn’t have time to be calling you.
He asked me to tell you,” says Gabriel, grinning. He knows that Christian has
been on the phone, talking to Monique.

Chapter Nineteen

What’s up with Tony? He says one thing and acts
another? Cynthia drives over to her best amiga’s casa to talk to her. I need to
talk to someone, contemplates Cynthia, walking up to her door.

“Hola, Cynthia,” says Mama Ana, smiling. “You want to
speak to Monique?”

“Si, señora,” replies Cynthia, trying to smile and
failing.

“Okay, mi hija. Monique is in her room,” says Mama Ana,
smiling.

“Gracias,” replies Cynthia, going to her best amiga’s
room.

“Monique?” says Cynthia, trying to control her tears
as she runs to hug her best amiga.

“What’s wrong, Cynthia,” asks Monique with concern. She
had just finished speaking with Christian.

“I’m hurting. Tony will not get it. He’s stubborn and
totally a macho Mexicano,” says Cynthia, weeping.

Monique hears her amiga.
I don’t understand what
she’s saying. I know she doesn’t have a novio. Well, she didn’t last time we
talked
, ponders
Monique
. She grins. Well, I didn’t have an esposo.
It’s been a few days since we talked.

“Cynthia, I don’t know what you’re talking about!”
says Monique, looking at her amiga cry.

“Monique I met this awesome Chico. I know he’s my alma
gemela. He’s everything I ever wanted, except he’s being stubborn about us. I
know he wants me just as much as I want him, but he keeps fighting it,” says
Cynthia, wiping her nose.

“Cynthia, let’s sit down,” says Monique, sitting down
on her bed. “Tell me from the beginning what this is all about. I don’t
understand.”

“Monique, I met my alma gemela. He’s just awesome. He’s
having issues with us being together. All he says is that he has to think. That
it’s not the right time. He keeps pushing me away and at the same time he pulls
me closer,” says Cynthia, looking off in space thinking about what she just said.

“What is the issue? Is he married? Does he have a
novia?” asks Monique, with confusion.

“No, I know he doesn’t have an esposa or a novia,”
says Cynthia. “I know he wants me. He reacts real possessive and jealous.”

“I don’t get it,” says Monique.
What an odd Chico,
thinks Monique.

“Yeah, that’s why I’m so depressed. He pushes me away
and then he pulls me back. We were having some nice slushy drinks. He was
affection and open. I could tell that he wanted to talk and get to know each
other. I asked him about his familia. I asked about his hermanos,” says Cynthia,
recalling how he looked when he answered her. “He responded that he has one
hermano and two hermanas.  His hermanas are twins.”

“Okay, so what’s the big deal?” asks Monique, not
getting what’s happened.

“The next thing I know he says he has to go. He was
pissed off. I don’t know why,” says Cynthia, turning to look at her amiga. “I
followed him out to his carro. I asked him what’s wrong. He says that it’s
nothing. It’s getting late and he has to go.”

“Maybe he needed to get somewhere and he had forgotten,”
says Monique, shrugging her shoulders.

“If that was the case, he would have told me. He would
have at least given me one beso,” says Cynthia, thinking about the entire
evening.

“I don’t understand,” says Monique, looking at her
bella amiga.
Hmmm she has a love bite on her neck. I think he does feel
something
. “What’s his name?”

“His name is Sebastian Antonio De la Cruz,” says
Cynthia, smiling, loving his name.

“You’re kidding me,” says Monique, grinning, trying
not to laugh.
Oh, this is too funny. It’s Tony, my Baby’s primo.

Cynthia turns to look at her best amiga. “Okay, what’s
so funny,” asks Cynthia, with irritation. “I don’t see anything funny.”

“Amiga, I know Tony,” says Monique, starting to laugh
at her amiga’s surprised expression.

“You do? How?” asks Cynthia, wanting to know every
single detail. “You’re dating him?”

“No amiga, he works where I work. He’s also my Baby’s
primo,” says Monique, grinning with amusement.

“What do you mean he works where you do? Who is your
Baby?” asks Cynthia, real confused.
We don’t talk for a five or six days and
everything changes. She has a Baby
, thinks Cynthia, in confusion.
