She had one of the finest reputations in the industry bar his; no one ever saw her expect for her applicants. She was an enigma. All her main business was conducted via phones.

“Why don’t you go to clients premises?” He asked her, his eyes transfixed on her.

*

Rebecca knew he was giving her the eye.
Maybe he was, to try to put her off
she thought. She in turn returned his stare answering in her velvety smooth tones while she knowingly held his gaze.

“Well ‘Jackson’ it’s simple, when I’m not in the office I‘m not making any money. I’d be traveling from site to site, I’d get nothing done and after all time is money.”

She had caught his attention greatly there; she spoke the same language as him ‘money’.

She knew he liked her. He had flirted with her enough times over the years. She sat back in the chair, crossing her legs demurely; as she did, she saw his eyes lingering on her legs moving slowly up her body.

“So Jackson, what have you got for me?” She purred, looking directly into his eyes toying with him.

*

He smiled thinking to himself as his trousers grew a little tighter. ‘
I’ve something for you all right.’
He moved slightly on the couch repositioning his sitting position to ease himself from the growing bulge she had caused.

“I’ve a few calls to make when I get back to my office. I’d say once the word is out there that you’re available, I’ll be pretty busy,” he said.

They both stood up and shook hands again. Then he checked out her ring finger. There was nothing there; there had been.

Jackson was pretty sure he remembered her telling him she was
engaged
and not interested.
‘I wonder what happened there’
, he thought before realizing she had caught him looking at her yet again. He cleared his throat and spoke.

“I will call you later with an update, if that’s ok?”

He knew he was a good looking guy which he used to his every advantage. But this girl was flustering him something rotten.

*

Rebecca was walking off, his eyes following her as she walked across the tiled lobby, when she turned her head around. She had caught him in the act of looking again, watching her intently.

Rebecca smiled to herself knowing she had the upper hand.

“Actually Jackson, I have another appointment after work so I’m not going to be available,” she smiled.

Before he could stop himself he was walking towards her.

“I can call you after,” taking stock of himself. He had sounded a bit needy not the normal for him.

Rebecca turned knowing he was watching her walk away, she turned only her head.

“Sorry Jackson I’m busy. Call me in the morning.”

*

And she was gone out the doors, leaving Jackson Harvey standing in the middle of the foyer. She had made him feel like a naughty school boy, with the amount of times she had caught him staring at her.

She was like the beautiful teacher who leaned over that little bit further allowing you to see more down her blouse. Damn she was hot. He was indubitably interested now having met her; mind you he would have been by only just seeing a mere picture of her. She was absolutely stunning, and he wanted her. He reached for his phone and made a call.

*

Rebecca walked back in the direction to her office. She was pleased with the meeting. It had gone well. She knew she had him eating out of the palm of her hand. Her phone rang; she answered it with a smile seeing the name appear on her screen.

It was Jackson,

“So, would you be up for a drink tonight?”

He asked, she continued walking.

“Don’t mix business with pleasure Jackson, you should know that.” She smiled knowing she had the upper hand. “It’s not professional now, is it? I do hope you don’t do this to all your applicants.” She teased, she couldn’t help it. He seemed to bring the ‘
naughty
’ out in her and she didn’t know why?

She laughed to herself
maybe she had morphed into Lucy overnight
. As he spoke he jolted her away from her thoughts back into reality,

“Right I’d better start working,” he said coolly. “I’ll speak to you soon”

“Of course you will,” she answered and hung up smiling.

Rebecca approached her office thinking;
how funny she had only had been going out with Lucy for the month, but her confidence with the male species had grown. She had shook the doubt or inhibitions that she had. She had always been confident in her work. Now she was transferring it to her personal life and it was about time, as she was getting her groove on, in all departments
.

She sat down at her desk, momentarily before calling Lucy.

There was something about Jackson Harvey that was very appealing. He was incredibly good looking but he knew it. He was cocky but he could ‘
walk the walk’
. He was a genius at what he did. But he was just too sure of himself, she found herself telling Lucy.

All Lucy could do was laugh awhile before saying, she’d teach him a thing or too when she looked at the emailed article that included a very nice black and white picture of the dashingly handsome guy wearing a ‘Boss’ suit, sitting perched on the front of his very expensive desk, it looked like a vogue editorial rather than an industry magazine.

“Very nice, very nice indeed. So he asked you out for a drink? Are you going?” Lucy asked “cause I will if you don’t. He’s yum on a stick” she laughed. “Are you going to your appointment tonight to the other agents?”

“Yes Luce, I am” she laughed.

“If I leave here at 6 p.m., I can be there by 7 p.m. I’m meeting them also in a hotel; only thing is it could take an hour, so I’ll ring you Luce when I’m leaving, if that’s all ok with you?”

Rebecca knew Lucy was cool.

“And another thing’ she added, ‘I’ve decided I’m getting a tattoo where did you get yours?”

Lucy gave Rebecca the name of the Artist who had done hers. Rebecca finished the call; she looked up the number and dialed the number to making an appointment for Saturday, and then got back to work feeling very happy with herself indeed.

Rebecca was walking out across the lobby of yet another Hotel. Her evening meeting had gone on way longer than she expected. She had just stepped out from the revolving doors when she saw him there, standing against one of the huge grey limestone pillars.

She tried to pretend that she didn’t see him as she stared blankly making her way in the direction of the tube.

”Don’t pretend you didn’t see me Rebecca.” he said walking parallel to her.

“Why Jackson Harvey, what are you doing here?” She teased; of course she had seen him. “What’s so important that you’re here? Do you have any news for me?” She had stopped now and was looking directly at him,

“Well actually I do have news, and seeing that’s it’s so late, I was wondering if you would like dinner?”

He was looking at her with his charming smile and was surprised at her answer, he raised an eyebrow.

“Actually Jackson, I can’t. I have plans already.” The confidence was oozing from her.

He was taken back, dinner normally worked.

“Well, let me drive you to where ever you’re going and we can talk on the way?”

She stood there looking at the well-dressed thirty-four year old attractive man before her.
Lucy was right, he was yum on a stick, but he had a reputation for being a bit of a man-whore
.

“It makes sense,” he shrugged his shoulders. “I need to speak to you and seeing you won’t have dinner with me.” He tried to look a little wounded as he put his well-manicured hands to his chest like she had stabbed him in the heart. “I have job offers, and I’ll keep my hands to myself, if you want me to, that is.” He laughed, but he really did mean it. “Come on, my car’s just around the corner, its business.”

He could be awfully persuasive, she thought.
This could be dangerous
’ and off she walked with him to the valet parking and waited for his vehicle to arrive.

Jackson’s car appeared. She smiled to herself, of course he would have this car it went with his smooth man-whore image. She was impressed though and tried not to show it. It was an Aston

Martin Rapide V12 4dr Touchtronic Auto 5.9 2012,

Jackson got into the driver’s seat leaving the valet to open the door for Rebecca; she sat as the valet closed the door.

Rebecca pulled the seatbelt across her as her eyes looked around the interior of the car.

“Nice’ she said “ Hmmm, 4 Doors, Automatic, Saloon, Petrol, 713 miles, Lightening Silver which is a nice choice rather than the standard black that everyone op’s for”.

He could only sit there as she continued.

“I see you have the Bang & Olufsen Audio System, Satellite Navigation with Colour Screen hmm okay, Rear Seat Entertainment I except as well as Parking Distance Control - Front and Rear.

Now put that in your pipe and smoke it.
She thought.

Jackson was astonished at her knowledge of
his
car; she knew more about it than he did. He decided not to do the car thing he normally done, deciding to get down to business seeing as she had knocked him off track.

“Where to?” he asked?

“Do you know West London”,

“I do, which part do you want to go to?

“Hammersmith if that’s okay” she smiled at him as she brushed her hair behind her ear.
