I’ve finished my dessert and am
heading back from the ladies room when I see Drew talking with a woman who’s
sitting in my chair. I stop to watch their interaction. She’s talking and
waving her arms around, but I can’t tell if she’s upset or not. Drew seems
relaxed, so maybe it’s not what I think.

I decide to walk up to the table
and find out. Drew sees me approaching and stands up when I get close to the
table. Mystery woman spins around to stare at me.

“Lily, I’d like you to meet Kelly
Klauss
, my administrative assistant. Kelly, this is
Lily Kramer, my date this evening.”

Kelly looks me up and down as I
do the same to her. She gives me a small smile, but it’s like something out of
high school when the popular girl feels like the quiet girl is moving in on her
territory. I just smile a bit brighter and say hello.

“Nice to meet
you,
Lily
.”
No way to miss the venom in that one.

I smile again, though I really
just want to slap that smirk off her face. I look at Drew and, of course, he
seems to have missed all the undertones. He’s such a guy.

“Drew, are you ready to go?” I
ask in the most sickening sweet way, while reaching out to take his hand. This
is not lost on Kelly, who looks at me like I’m trash.

“Sure thing,
Lil.
See you at the office tomorrow, Kelly.” Drew takes my hand and we start to walk
away from the table where Kelly is still sitting.

As an afterthought, I turn around
quickly and, as nicely as I can, I say, “So nice to meet you, Kathy.” I have to
chuckle to myself at calling her the wrong name.

“It’s Kelly,” she says hatefully,
but we’re far enough away Drew doesn’t seem to hear her. I thread my arm around
Drew’s for a final show of possessiveness. I have no idea why I feel the need
to do this, but I do. I can feel Kelly’s stare as we leave the restaurant.

Chapter
3

Lily

Drew takes me back to Wedding
Dreams to get my car. He pulls into the little parking lot next to the building
and cuts the engine. We sit in silence for a few moments, and the longer it
lasts, the more nervous I get. I can’t seem to look at him because I just don’t
know what to say. He clears his throat, and I turn my head toward him but can’t
meet his eyes.

“So, Lily, when do you think we
can have this wedding ceremony? I don’t want to rush you too much, but my
mother’s memory is getting worse every day.”

“I think I can get everything
together to have the wedding in about six months. Will that work for you,
Drew?” I hope he says yes, because I don’t want to hurry things.

“That should be good. I’ll have
the gardener start planning the landscaping for six months from now so the
grounds look good.”

I forgot he has a staff. I take a
deep breath to keep from freaking out about that. I nod and put my hand on the
door handle. I finally take a chance and look Drew in the eye. He’s smiling
like he just heard something funny. I cock my head to the side in a look
telling him to let me in on the joke.

He puts one hand on my cheek and
pulls me toward him. My lips meet his in a soft, gentle kiss. I start to pull
away but he tugs the nape of my neck and crushes his mouth on mine. I hear him
moan and I can’t help but lean in further and open my lips in invitation for
his tongue. He doesn’t make me wait long and suddenly we’re making out like
teenagers in the front of his Cadillac.

What is it about this man, this
rogue groomsman that makes me so wanton? I throw my arms around Drew’s neck and
try to pull myself over the center console. My skirt gets caught on the shifter
so I’m stuck half-way across. I start to laugh and Drew stops kissing me to see
what’s going on. He looks at me and starts to laugh, too, when he sees how my
skirt is caught and is pulling the fabric down while I try to move closer to
him.

At first I can’t figure out how
to get myself free, but Drew helps me by lifting my hips and pulling the
fabric. I look up and smile, but the moment has passed. I shake my head
slightly and fix my clothes.

“I had a nice time tonight, Drew.
Thanks for dinner.”

“It was great, Lily. We should do
it again soon. Are you free this weekend?”

I know I have the Perry/Clark
wedding Saturday. I hope it goes better than the last one I worked, at least
for the bride and groom.

“I have a wedding this weekend.
The rehearsal is on Friday and the ceremony is Saturday. I should be free on
Sunday, though, if you want to do something.”

“Sure. I’ll call you on Sunday
morning. There’s something else I’d like to talk to you about.” He smiles and
leans over to give me a kiss. I stop him by putting my hand on his chest.

“What to do you want to talk
about? You can’t just leave me with that statement hanging out there.”

Drew looks down and clutches my
hands. “I want you to live with me, Lily. I know my mother would want to keep
up appearances, and I do, too. I don’t want to pressure you, too much, but it
would mean the world to me for you to live in my house. We don’t have to share
a room, but I want you there. Please say you’ll at least think about it.”

I can only imagine the look on my
face. He wants me to move in with him? What the fuck is that all about? Not
that I’d mind living in that gorgeous house, but I’m going to have to give it
some serious consideration before I agree.

“I need to sleep on it, Drew.
What you’re asking is pretty major and not something I can decide tonight.”

“I completely understand and I
appreciate you thinking it over. Good night, Lily.” He leans over and this time
I let him kiss me.

I walk to my car. Drew watches me
the whole time and doesn’t leave the parking lot until I do. I turn left and
head for home.

I live about twenty minutes from
the shop, so I take the time to think about my day. Drew seems like a really
nice guy. I’m still not sure about this marriage thing with him, though. It
just seems strange, but I’ve got no other prospects. At least I could get my
bills paid with regard to the shop. He said he’d pay for everything, even if I
want to expand. I’m not sure now is the right time for that, but it would be
nice to not have to worry about making the mortgage payments.

I think about the way his
secretary looked when we were introduced. Did Drew sleep with her? She sure
seemed possessive. I’ve dealt with jealous bridesmaids, but I’ve never been the
object of their hatred before. I’ll need to talk to Drew about this because he
sure didn’t seem to notice anything. Of course, most men don’t think much about
that stuff. I realize I still don’t know much about him. We spent most of
dinner either talking about me and the wedding. I’m going to have to figure out
a way to get him to open up.

As I get off the highway, I can’t
help but think about having sex with Drew. He’s just so
strong,
the way
he held me up against the wall in the dressing room. I remember how it felt to
have his arms around me and his cock inside me. I pull into my parking space
and walk quickly into my apartment. My panties are wet thinking about how he
touched me in the church garden. I hope this “marriage” will at least afford me
the sexual benefits of a spouse. I want to explore Drew more, this time in a
bed where we can take things much slower.

Taking off my work clothes to get
ready for bed, I fantasize about Drew removing them, kissing down my neck to my
breast. I close my eyes and I can smell him and feel his lips on my chest. He
moves over my breast, peppering it with sweet kisses and suddenly bites my
hardened nipple. I jump in surprise and he quickly soothes it with his tongue
while his other hand kneads my left breast. I move my hands in the way I
imagine Drew doing, pinching and pulling. I lie back on the bed and lift my
feet to the edge. My left hand stays on my breast and my right hand slides down
my stomach as I imagine Drew doing, kissing and gently nipping at my skin. He
slides off the bed and kneels between my thighs. I see him smile with a wicked
glint in his eye and suddenly he’s sucking on my clit. I rub myself while I
fantasize about all the things Drew is doing with his tongue. I continue to
pinch my nipple and rub my pussy, seeing Drew there making all of this happen.
My climax comes hard and fast and I cry out Drew’s name.

I open my eyes and look around my
bedroom, getting my bearings and catching my breath. I look over to the right
and see
Nala
in the doorway staring at me. She huffs
and turns around to walk away.
Nothing like giving my cat a
show.

Drew

I smile as I drive toward my
house. Things went really well tonight. Lily seems to have embraced the idea of
the wedding and she’s give it some thought. That seems like a good sign to me.
Overall, I feel good with the decisions we’ve made.

Pulling into my driveway and I
spot a car I haven’t seen in a long time.
Why didn’t I lock the gate?
I’m not in the mood for her shit right now but there’s no way to avoid her. I
park behind her car and slowly get out.

Brandy is sitting on the side of
the fountain, looking up at the night sky. She’s a fairly attractive woman,
standing at about five feet nine inches. She has long, dark hair and deep,
brown eyes. Her figure is curvy in all the right places and she has an air of
confidence about her. It’s too bad it all ends there. Her personality is
abrasive and she doesn’t know how to take no for an answer. I fucked her after
a party at Nick’s house. I made the same mistake one more time after a work
event. She was there with my secretary, Kelly, and the drinks were free. Not my
best moment.   Since then she has thought we’re an item. I’ve told
her many times I’m not interested, but she doesn’t take the hint. I’m sure
she’s here to yell at me for not calling her like she thinks I should. I never
have or plan to call her. Taking a deep breath, I walk over to where she’s
sitting.

“What are you doing here,
Brandy?” There’s really no point in beating around the bush with this
psycho-nut bitch from hell.

“I missed you,
Drewkins
. You know I get lonely when you don’t call me.”
She pouts and looks at me with hooded eyes. All I want to do is go inside and
go to bed. I can tell that isn’t happening anytime soon.

“Brandy, we’ve been over this.
I’ve never called you and I’m not going to because I don’t want to go out with
you.” I’m trying to be as gentle as possible with her because I know how she
can get.

“Drew, baby, you know you want
me. You couldn’t get enough of me the last time we went out.”

No, I couldn’t get away from her
fast enough. I didn’t even wait for her to come. I got off and I got out. Not
my usual style, but there was a lot of alcohol involved. I usually try to give
the woman an orgasm too, but Brandy is much too clingy. I just wish I would’ve
figured that out the first time I fucked her.

“Things are different now. I’m
getting married.”
Holy shit.
Did I just say
that? Well, here goes nothing.

Brandy just stares and then she
starts laughing. She bends over and almost falls off the fountain edge. When
she looks up there are tears on her cheeks and she’s clutching her stomach.

“Seriously, Drew. Is that the
best you can come up with? You don’t believe in marriage. You have
tell
me that every time I see you. What is this about?”
She’s still smiling.

“No, Brandy, I’m dead serious.
Her name is Lily Kramer and we’re getting married.”
Take that, bitch.

Unfortunately, she seems to
believe me and is now getting angry. She jumps to her feet and stands in front
of me, close enough I can smell her breath.
Yuck!

“You mean to tell me you’re
actually going to marry someone? You’re serious? Who the fuck is this Lily
Kramer and when did you start seeing her? We were together just a month ago.
You’re bullshitting me, aren’t you?”

Wow. I knew she was crazy, but
this is getting ridiculous.

“For your information, I’ve been
seeing her for a while and it doesn’t matter what you think. Now, you need to
get your ass off my property before I have you arrested for trespassing.” I
turn and walk toward the house.

She pushes me by the shoulders
and stalks after me, her eyes becoming more dilated and her cheeks getting red.

“Drew Hamilton, you are a fucking
liar. I know you aren’t getting married or Kelly would’ve told me. I can’t
believe you’re pulling this shit with me. You know how I feel about you.”
Brandy bursts into tears.
Fucking great.

I try to be reasonable, even
though I’m feeling anything but. “Brandy, it’s over. We fucked twice, that’s
it. What we never had is over. I really need you to leave now.”

“You fucking dick! It’s NOT
over.”
So much for reasonable.
I try a different
tactic.

“Don’t call me, don’t talk to me,
and don’t fuck with me, Brandy. You’ll be sorry if you think you can fuck with
me.” By now I’m in her face and she’s starting to back off, I hope.
