Chapter 13

I kept checking the mirrors on the way back to the hotel. There were a couple of times I could’ve swore I heard sirens. I was definitely feeling the weight of all of the drama that had popped off that day. The Indigo Gold would’ve only made me even more paranoid. I needed a few drinks to take the edge off before I headed back to my room. The main bar next to the lobby was still open, so I parked my ass on a stool and ordered a Long Island Ice Team. The kind of drink that tastes good going down but will sneak up on you and put you on your ass.

I watched another news story on Pido on one of the flat screens above the bar, until they got to speculating about the illegal side of his auto body shop. Here it is, the man has been murdered and they just had to smear his name in dirt. It wasn’t anything new under the sun. That’s how the news did blacks and Latinos. At this time I made it to my second Long Island it was just me and this older white man at the bar. He kept looking as if I was what he really wanted to sip from. I was mugging him to let him know he didn’t have shit coming. But he still worked the courage up to come sit next to me.

“Can I buy you the next one?”

I turned my head and looked him over like he’d lost his mind. He looked and smelled like money. And on any other night he would’ve been playing his way right into a robbery. Luckily for him, I was only there to pour it up and drink.

“I’ve got my own money.” I looked directly into his blue eyes and rolled mine before I went back to sipping my Long Island.

He laughed arrogantly. “That’s what I always loved about you black broads. You always make the chase so interesting. Must be something in your blood that makes you so damn feisty.”

At first I looked at the muthafucka as if he’d went crazy. An image of me smashing him in the face with the glass flashed in my head. But I caught myself before my blood got to boiling. A devious smile crept on my face. He smiled back thinking his game was tight. He adjusted his gold and diamond encrusted cufflinks. I looked him over again. He was rocking Prada from his charcoal gray blazer to his white button-down shirt and down to his black loafers and clacks. You could tell he had that pretty boy swag in his younger years.

Despite the crow’s feet and bags around his eyes and the gray mixed in with his dark brown hair, he had the swag of a wealthy playboy that was used to getting his way. Especially when it came to black chicks, who he probably looked at as “the help” and beneath him. I decided to chill and let his white ass send himself off.

“My fault. It’s just been a long day and to tell you the truth, I don’t think I’m going to be able to make it through this one without needing some help to my room.” I held my drink up and then took some of it to the head.

His eyes really lit up when he heard that shit. He leaned in a little closer. “I’ll be more than willing to help and I don’t have nothing on me but plastic right now. But if you’re good to me tonight, I’ll go to the time machine first thing in the morning.”

When he put his hand on my thigh, I didn’t even have to think about it. I reached over and grabbed his balls and squeezed as hard as I could. “Don’t you ever put yo muthafuckin hands on a gangsta bitch.”

His eyes opened as wide as they could and his mouth was wide open without a sound coming out of it. The last bartender on duty, an older blonde chick, covered her mouth to keep from cracking up before turning the other way and acting like she was busy cleaning the other end of the bar.

“You had enough muthafucka or you still wanna help me to my room?” I twisted them small little pathetic ass balls of his as I continued to squeeze them as hard as I could.

He shut his eyes tight and shook his head. Sweat was trickling down both sides of his face and his perfectly tanned skin was turning as pale as a polar bear’s ass.

“Next time think twice before comin’ at a black chick like she’s a slave on yo plantation.”

He made a sound like he was about to explode as he nodded his head. When I let go he collapsed onto the bar face first, moaning like a sick dog. I tossed a twenty dollar bill on the shiny oak bar for a tip and stood to leave.

“I’ma about to let security know that we have a man in here grabbing on women inappropriately,” the bartender said as she scooped the tip up and nodded at me.

I marched out of there thinking how lucky his ass is. The situation could’ve ended a lot more fucked for him. I was still dressed to kill and if we’d been anywhere by ourselves, he would be a dead muthafucka.

By the time I made it up to my room I was feeling tipsy and drowsy as hell. I stripped out of everything, including my g-string and bra. Before I collapsed onto the bed I called Adrienne’s phone three times in a row. It went straight to voicemail each time. I was hoping that Ivan was bluffing. I fell asleep knowing in my heart that he wasn’t.

(Flashback)

“God damn Phat Kat.”

When I looked up at Ivan he was gripping the steering wheel with both hands, doing his best to stay focused on the road. I wasn’t worried. I don’t give a fuck how good the head was I was giving him, the last thing that nigga was going to do was wreck his pretty ass Vette. I gathered as much spit as I could in my mouth and spit all over his dick. Then I went ham on that muthafucka, I’m talking nothing but fast deep throat action.

“Shit bitch. What you trying to do?”

I looked up from his lap with a devilish smile on my face. “I’m tryin to make you come nigga.” I lightly raked my fingernails over his balls and ran circles around the head of his dick with my tongue. Then I flipped the tip of my tongue back and forth across the very top of his dick.

Ivan had his face screwed up when he accidentally punched the gas. I looked up at him laughing. He grabbed the back of my head and pushed me back down into his lap.

“Stop playin with my shit bitch and get me right.”

Before I did as my nigga told me, I looked up at his fine ass. I loved his ass so much I would’ve stood on the hood of his Vette butt ass naked and fingered myself if that’s what he wanted. We were cruising on Lake Drive with the top down at two in the morning. I was getting my nigga right as he had Kevin Gates coming through the speakers. I went back to deep throating his dick underneath a sky filled with stars. Fuck romantic, that shit was so gangsta to me. My pussy was wetter than Lake Michigan that I could hear crashing against the rocks. Once I quit teasing him and fully flexed my skills, I made that nigga nut in thirty seconds flat. I deep throated his shit with no gag reflex until he squirted inside of my mouth. I made sure to suck every drop from his dick before I snatched off my True Religions and g-string and climbed over the console and straddled his lap.

“Bitch, are you crazy?” Ivan asked as he struggled to see the road around me.

“Fuck that nigga, I want some dick. Ain’t nobody else down here.”

“I’ma go upside yo muthafuckin head if you make me do somethin to this car.”

“Well you better pull over because you’re givin’ me some dick.” I reached down and lined up his with mine and started bouncing on that muthafucka. “Ooooh daddy, yeah, just like that.”

Luckily we weren’t doing any more than twenty-five miles per hour. Ivan was able to safely pull over and park at the curb. I didn’t give no fuck at that point because I was too busy getting mines. I tilted my head back and looked straight into the stars as I bounced up and down like a car with no shocks.

“You’re crazy bitch.” He gripped my ass cheeks, spread them and bounced me even harder. Once we both came hard at the same time, I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed the top of his head.

“Get yo freaky ass off me.”

I laughed. “You like it nigga.” I hugged his ass even tighter while I tried to rub my titties in his face.

“Bitch, get dressed before somebody rolls by, I ain’t trying to go to jail for indecent exposure. In a matter of hours we’re about to go hit the biggest lick of our lives.”

“Yeah whatever nigga,” I said as I climbed back onto the passenger’s side and started putting all of my clothes back on. “I want some more of that dick before we get on that plane.”

He got out of the Vette laughing. Once I was dressed I followed him over to the large rocks that separated the shoreline of Lake Michigan from the grass and picnic tables. We each took a seat on one of those big ass rocks and enjoyed the vibe for a minute or two. Even street muthafuckas like us could appreciate how peaceful the shit was. There were no police sirens, gun shots, or ear drum splitting bass coming from passing whips. The sound of the waves crashing against the rocks and a light breeze that picked up every now and then was almost soothing enough to put a bitch to sleep.

“This nigga, L.V. the Don, really made it easy for us.” Ivan shook his head and chuckled a little bit. He skipped a rock over the waves. “Not only was that nigga on Instagram jackin’ with a mil ticket, but the nigga posted another pic of him and his bodyguard in the lobby of the Venetian with LADIES COME HOLLA AT ME posted underneath.”

I looked at Ivan with a shocked expression on my face. He nodded with that devilish smirk he only flashed when he knew his scheming was about to pay off.

“Yeah, Phat Kat baby. We don’t even have to find out where this country nigga is stayin’ anymore.” He shook his head as he skipped another rock. “Sometimes I wonder if these rich ass rap niggas just think they can’t get touched. Or if they ever really ran the streets like they claim.”

I really paid attention to my nigga sitting on the rock next to me in his dark blue Akademik long sleeve polo and jeans. I felt the pain in his heart and knew what the hell was on his mind. He felt like he deserved to be in niggas’ like L.V. the Don’s position. He’d put in the work. He’d earned more than his share of stripes and if everything went smooth in Vegas, he would be well on his way. However, like any other lick, a lot of shit could go wrong. But my nigga could count on me to give it all I had to make sure we succeeded. I was the only muthafucka who wanted to see him on top more than he did.

“Have you ever thought about what shit would be like if we left the streets alone for good?”

Ivan was about to skip another rock but instead turned towards me and stared directly into my eyes. The nigga stared as if he could see my soul. Then a smile crept on my face.

“What you think this whole lick down in Vegas is about? It’s time to take shit to another level.”

“Does that include us having a family and maybe even getting married one day?” I said, self-conscious about sounding like a weak bitch.

He smiled and held my hand. “Don’t worry Phat Kat, I have big plans for us after we hit this lick. Everything is gonna change, you’ll see.” There wasn’t a star in the sky that was brighter than my smile. I could finally see an end to the constant drama that had been part of my life since I was a little girl. I was excited about being able to retire my gangsta and get on some square shit. I wanted to be a wife and a mother and be able to give my shorties everything I didn’t have. Love, a happy family and a chance to be whatever they wanted when they got older.

Damn was I a stupid bitch. I woke up to the sound of my iPhone vibrating, in a cold sweat and swearing to kill the cold-blooded snake known as Ivan.

Chapter 14

I quickly snatched my iPhone from the nightstand, hoping that it was Adrienne. I wanted to shoot the muthafucka against the wall when I heard Ivan’s voice.

“Get the fuck up Phat Kat. We have some business to take care of today.” He almost said it as if he was still my nigga. I damn near wanted to slap myself to see if I was dreaming or not. I wondered after I killed his muthafuckin ass, would he still haunt me in my sleep.

“How the fuck do you know if I was still sleeping or not? We don’t share a bed together anymore,” I said with as much attitude as I could.

“You always sleep in after doin some major dirt the night before, especially murder.”

I nodded as I pushed my tongue against my cheek. I checked the time on my phone and saw it was going on one in the afternoon. Word was out about Kim K.’s mother’s murder a lot earlier than I expected. I didn’t think she would’ve been found until Kim K. got out and went to check on her. At least that shit would’ve been perfect if it played out like that.

“We need to meet first.” His ass was sounding arrogant as usual but he was straight to the point and wasn’t laughing. That meant I had his ass thinking. Which is all you could do to a nigga like Ivan because he wouldn’t allow anybody to shake him up.

“I tried that already. But you got me distracted long enough for Kim K. to make a move. Did y’all rehearse that shit because you never put me up on that one.”

“Meet me at the Cheesecake Factory at three. That’ll give yo high maintenance ass long enough to get ready.”

I hated when his punk ass ignored what the hell I had to say. I hated that he knew the Cheesecake Factory was my favorite spot. I hated he knew exactly how long I would need to get ready. I hated he knew every damn thing about me, I hated his ass and I couldn’t wait to take his muthafuckin life!

Once again I had to control my urge to shoot the phone against the wall, so I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. Even Ivan wasn’t crazy enough to try to get at me in such a public place. Not only did the popular cheesecake spot stay crackin’, but it basically shared a parking lot with the Mayfair Mall, which was the biggest shopping mall in the Mil. It was obvious I’d gotten this nigga’s attention just like I planned.

“It must be important if you’re goin’ to put yo bitch on hold.” I didn’t want to seem as eager as I really was.

“That’s not yo concern. We got some shit to work out so a couple of slices of cheesecake and one hundred g’s will help thangs go a lot smoother.”

I parked in the very back of the Cheesecake Factory’s lot at exactly a quarter to three. I wanted to be able to take in everybody coming and going as I sparked up some Indigo Gold. Another trick in the game I learned from Ivan. I lit my pipe thinking how the nigga had basically created my entire identity for me. A bitch was going to have to find herself if I ever really wanted to be free of his ass. I let the fire ass dro take effect as I scanned the restaurant’s parking lot and the mall and its big ass parking lot in the background.

I began to wonder what Ivan was driving. I doubted if he still was whipping around in the rental he got through Adrienne. It bothered me that he could roll up without me knowing to the last minute. I climbed out of the Charger so muthafuckin high I felt like I could’ve floated up to the front entrance. The sun was beaming down so hard I’m surprised there weren’t sparks flying every time my black Jimmy Choo hells struck the pavement.

I swung my ass in my Stella McCartney skinny jeans like I was Tyra Banks on the catwalk in her prime. I admired how good my flat and toned stomach looked in my halter top in the reflection on the glass doors. I wanted this nigga to see that my head was to the sky, my swag was through the roof and that his betrayal didn’t break me. I wanted that nigga to see that I was a bad bitch with or without him.

I removed my Marc Jacob shades and put them in my Marc Jacob bag, right next to the nine milli. I left my bag unzipped as I searched the restaurant for Ivan. The hostess asked my name and led me to his booth. His fine ass smiled as if we were long lost friends. He looked so muthafuckin good I almost forgot how much I hated his ass. Feelings I thought I’d gotten rid of forever came rushing back. It was crazy how the nigga had tried to take my life twice and I still had butterflies from just being near him. I still loved his punk ass and I hated myself for it.

“Damn Phat Kat, you look like you seen a ghost. Sit down, you’re startin’ to make me nervous, especially with yo purse unzipped.” He smiled, teeth gleaming, like brand new porcelain.

I sat down across from him and looked into his brown eyes without saying a word. I was trying to look unimpressed, but I could tell he wasn’t buying it.

“I don’t have time to catch up on old times over cheesecake.”

“Nigga you’re the one that wanted me to meet you here,” I said snaking my neck.

“Because I knew you would be smart enough to figure out that there was no way you were in danger here. Even though you got yo Nina Ross on standby.” He pointed at my purse in my lap. We both nodded. The waitress tried to take our order but we both told her to give us a minute.

“What the hell do you want Ivan?”

“The bodies are piling up too fast.”

“You knew that was goin’ to happen when you missed down in Vegas.”

He nodded. “We both believe in keeping shit in the street. But eventually it’s going to get so hot the cops will be in our business.”

“You still ain’t told me what the hell you want.” The love thang I was feeling when I first seen the nigga was rapidly disappearing. Now that I was over seeing the nigga face to face for the first time since Vegas, I was just about back on some murder shit.
This nigga tried to kill me and then complain about the heat on the streets.

“Kim K. is gonna be ready to turn the city upside down when I bail her out.”

“Well, I can arrange for her to be wit her moms again.”

“I got a better idea.” He leaned in over the table smelling like Dolce and Gabbana Blue. The Rolex on his wrist looked like it hadn’t been out of the jewelry store too long. His black Ralph Lauren frames and his red and blue Ralph Lauren polo shirt had that fresh off the shelf appearance. The nigga looked like the new money I helped his ass steal.

“Why don’t you take a hundred g’s and disappear forever?” he extended his hand as if to say ‘your move.’

I sat back and stared at his ass with my arms folded. My eyes never left Ivan but I still was able to keep up with the environment through my peripheral. Customers were laughing and talking over their food all over the restaurant. Them muthafuckas were totally unaware they were in the presence of two gangster ass killers. I saw everyone that came and went through the front entrance. I paid attention to the bathroom doors every time they swung open. I even watched the waiters and waitresses buzz around through the joint. I searched every inch of that big ass restaurant for the quickest way to kill this nigga and then escape. Just in case he was on some bullshit.

“What bitch? You want me to throw a piece of cheesecake too? Damn you drive a hard bargain.”

He got the waitress’s attention and ordered me a couple slices of strawberry cheesecake. The one desert I felt was almost as good as a long stiff dick in my wet pussy. After the waitress set the slices in front of me, I continued to stare at his ass. I didn’t know what the fuck he was on and I wasn’t about to go along with shit until he explained himself.

“Stop tryin to act like you ain’t got the munchies. I know when yo ass is high,” Ivan said with a smirk on his face.

“Ivan, that shit don’t impress me. You should know everything about me muthafucka. We were together for six muthafuckin years. So stop with the got damn head games and get on with it.”

He nodded and smirked as he looked at his Rolex. “I told you already bitch, I’ll give you a hundred g’s to call a truce and to leave the Mil for good.”

“What would yo little punk ass white bitch think about you cuttin’ deals with her moms’ killer?” I had my arms folded and was snaking my neck.

“That’s none of yo concern bitch. Kim K. is goin’ to fall in line just like you use to. She’ll just have to accept that her moms was a casualty of war and that’s only if I choose to tell her. No bitch I fuck with knows everything.”

He smirked at me as he studied my reaction to the slug he’d just shot. I visualized myself pulling out the nine milli and splattering his blood all over the marble table top between us.

“I deserve more.”

Ivan shook his head.

“The work I put in down in Vegas and you tried to kill me. One hundred g’s after all of that?”

“One hundred g’s Phat Kat or you don’t get shit. Or we let this play out in the streets. Go ahead and roll the dice if you want. You’re the one who’s gonna come up short. I’m trying to handle this so we can both win and go on wit our lives. One hundred g’s is more than enough for you to flip into a mil-ticket if you use the tools I gave you.” He dismissed the waitress when she asked if she could get us anything else.

“But bitch if you take the money and don’t leave, you’ll die.” He extended a finger as if he was counting. “Meka will die.” He extended another finger. “And Jahlil will die.” He extended his last finger with a wicked smile on his face. Probably because of how my mouth dropped open. “What the fuck you look so shocked for? You made sure you were seen with the nigga. You even sent a message through Danny the bouncer. The streets always talk to me because I keep my ear open.”

I tried to laugh it off. “Nigga please. You think there is any love in my heart for anyone after how you and Kim K. played me?”

“Didn’t you just get done saying I know everything about you?”

I finally put my purse on the floor next to my chair. I sat back with my arms folded.

“Under all of that gangsta bitch armor is a bitch that cares about the people she takes to. That’s why you were so hurt by Kim K. Just like Meka, she was a sister to you.” He adjusted his Ralph Lauren frames and sat back with a satisfied grin on his face. “I bet you feel responsible for Adrienne.”

I tried to stare at him with a “nigga what” expression but it was a struggle for a bitch not to break down.

“You and I know you would feel the same way if something happens to this Jahlil nigga.”

“When do I get the cash?” I said, blinking my eyes as fast as I could. I didn’t want to shed any tears.

“So you’re agreeing to get the fuck out of the Mil?”

“I’m askin about the cash ain’t I,” I said snaking my neck halfway across the table.

“I’ll give it to you when we walk out of here. You have twenty-four hours to get the hell out of Milwaukee County.” He started to scoot out of the booth as he tossed a twenty on the table.

“You can hold up for a minute because I’m eating my cheesecake.” Ivan sat back laughing as I dug in.

“You made it part of the deal, didn’t you?” I asked as I smacked my lips.

“You got it Phat Kat. You got it.” He laughed until I finished both slices.

Outside in the parking lot Ivan went inside of a black Tahoe and grabbed a Nike book bag and handed it to me. Then he climbed in and took off without looking back. He left a bitch standing there holding a hundred grand. His ass didn’t know me as well as he thought he did. There was no way I was letting shit ride. I wasn’t leaving until both of those bitches were dead and with the rest of the money in my hand. At least whatever was left of it. I tossed the hundred bands in the trunk.
I got money in the bank, shawty what you drank.

I stashed the money in my rental storage unit with the bricks of dope, and then called Meka to let her know what was up. If she was worried about the nigga’s threats I would definitely be on the next thing smoking. My love ran deep for her ass. She’d held me down when I got on some kidnapping shit. I’d be a bogus ass bitch not to have put her safety first. Meka laughed it off and said she had a thirty round extended clip and a couple of goons for that nigga if he showed up wanting drama. When I saw how light she was taking the news I had to be sure she understood. This nigga wasn’t playing, he was going to come at her head if I didn’t relocate. Meka had been around street niggas all of her life. She felt Ivan was one man who could only hold two guns at the most. He wasn’t a super thug but of course she didn’t know him like I did.

I was the one who would have to live with the pain if something happened to her ass. So I told her she was taking a vacation to wherever she wanted to go on me. This was my way of showing my appreciation for having my back. And I figured I would be able to concentrate a lot easier if I knew for sure she couldn’t be touched. Her ass got geeked. I hit her with some Rico Love shit and told her to settle down. Before I ended the call I told her to also make her mind up today about where she wanted to go. That way she could be on a flight tomorrow.

Back in my hotel room I collapsed on the bed, knowing I’d taken care of the easy part. It wasn’t like I didn’t know Meka could be a knucklehead bitch sometimes. Now I had to come at a nigga who I barely knew the same way. A nigga who I didn’t even plan on fucking with anymore. As good as his dick and tongue felt, I could find both pretty much anywhere. I sat there trying to tell myself that I didn’t owe the nigga nothing. He portrayed the image as some top flight businessman with west coast gang ties. He should know he had to always watch his back.
