Spicy fresh ginger, tart lemon, and cayenne pepper pair up with healthful turmeric in this cleansing and refreshing infusion. We like to mix this up on weekend mornings when a detox from the night before is very much in order.

Great for combating pesky hangovers and curing cases of general Sunday morning laziness.
Ginger and turmeric make a powerful team when it comes to fighting hangovers. Ginger naturally calms your stomach while turmeric works to detoxify the liver. A glass or two of this infusion is just what you need to get back up and running on Sunday morning.

In our Brooklyn workshop, we’ve been known to go through iced coffee at an alarmingly high speed. But when we’re looking for something a little different, we take inspiration from Vietnam, where iced coffee and sweetened condensed milk come together to create something special. The condensed milk adds a richness to the deeply flavorful cold-brewed coffee, setting this recipe apart from your standard iced coffee.
28 oz of water
1 cup of whole bean coffee, coarsely ground
Sweetened condensed milk
i.
Combine the water and ground coffee in a 32 oz Mason jar. Seal and shake to combine.
ii.
Refrigerate for 14 hours.
iii.
Strain the coffee through a double layer of cheesecloth.
iv.
Serve over ice and top with sweetened condensed milk. The cold brew coffee will keep in the refrigerator for up to three days.
If you don’t like your iced coffee sweet, just omit the condensed milk in the final step. The cold brew recipe produces some fine coffee that can be enjoyed all by itself.
