“Of course I’m happy I wouldn’t be here if I wasn’t,” she informed him, gloriously shining her eyes at him. A smile so delicate he could treasure it forever. “Why are you asking?”

“Curious, you have been through so much recently, I just don’t wish to overwhelm you,” he added.

“Nonsense, I love it. I must admit I have been, sceptical and had my moments where I haven’t trusted a soul.”

“Tell me something…the day you called me when you were in hospital, and then I appeared at your door…were you pleased to see me?”

Sophie widened her eyes at him. She blushed crimson shying away smiling. She inhaled a deep breath to compose. “Calvin…if it hadn’t been for you I had no idea how on earth I would have got through it all. You were the one who kept my heart beating and my soul alive. When I heard you had lied about being my partner and Kacey’s father, I was…well, let’s just say delighted. I wanted and wished for nothing more than to be true. You where the air that I breathed, and I knew…I just knew you were perfect for me, it just took me a while to trust and believe in you. I have been hurt so much…”

He clasped her hand tight. “I know you have, and that is the main reason I took it slow for you. The day I took you to the tea room in the shambles I was going to tell you, when you mentioned about relationships, I was so damn close to telling you then…”

“Oh my goodness, really?” she chimed shocked.

“Yes.”

“I was going to tell you too, that was what I was trying to get at, but you dismissed me…I thought I was reading wrong to our friendship.”

“You’re kidding me,” he scoffed, releasing her hand and flung back in the chair, gutted. He rubbed his face while his stomach churned to the fact they both had been trying to give each other the important message. “Then Tim happened.” Tears formed in his eyes.

“I know…I blew that out of proportion. I should have listened to you then, and then meeting Sabastian the way you had, it wasn’t exactly the way I had planned it in my head and acting resilient toward you. I was a bitch, and felt terrible for it.”

“Don’t worry about it, I would have no doubt reacted the same way. However,” he added, gazing deeply into her eyes. “I lied.” Her eyes widened. “When I saw you in the pub car park at the weekend…I already had Sabastian’s number…I wanted to try and talk to you and repair my broken heart,” he admitted when a tear escaped and trickled down his cheek.

Sophie already knew that information, not wishing to tell the truth. “Really, you bad boy?” She giggled.

He burst out laughing. “What made you come to me?”

“I talked to Dad and Ross…he told me the truth about the party and he said you hadn’t mentioned our time to anyone inside the barn…I believe him. He reckoned Tim must have either seen us go in or come out, but that doesn’t matter now. We have a son, and I bet he would be delighted that we are getting married.” She smiled at him.

“Speaking of which…what happens about Sabastian?”

Chapter Seventeen

Sophie had no idea what her reply should be and still didn’t have a clue five days later to his question ‘
what about Sabastian?’
Her heart knew what should happen, but there was breaking everything up and causing destruction to Caroline and Mike she just couldn’t do that to them. Their innocence of love to their son was remarkable they both loved him unconditionally, only he was being brought up by another family. She had thought how things had changed in the fact that both his parents were on the verge of getting married wondering how Sabastian would feel about that. She guessed time would tell, she would go at his pace, maybe cruel to allow a young child to make such a decision, but children always had their way of dealing better with things than adults, at least she hoped.

She laid on Calvin’s chest, feeling his abs and his hairs running between his pubic fleece to his navel. She could hear the sound of his heart beating, his chest moving up and down. He smelt great even though last night they had broken into a major sweat, with their bodies rubbing and pressing hard against each other. The whole thought sent Goosebumps down to her womanhood, craving to take advantage of him again.

Never had Sophie felt complete as the way she did with him. What she liked was it didn’t matter what she looked like rough with her hair pulled back into a ponytail, her breasts leaking, walking around the apartment wearing only his shirt, he loved her regardless and that made their relationship even more special.

She felt him moving, and stirring a little she lifted her head off his chest to gaze at his gorgeous face.

“Have you ever heard the phrase, it’s rude to stare?” He chuckled.

“Is that right? And yes, I have heard it, but then I can stare at my fiancée all I want,” she joked tickling him under his armpit where he was ticklish. He moved quickly to get away from her climbing off the bed and stood before her nude, with an erection. “Mr. Edwards, I am appalled by your bodily language,” she acted shocked.

“Is that right…well, in that case, I think I will take advantage of the situation,” he winked. She smiled. He kneeled on the bed. Slowly he made his way up the bed until arriving over the top of her. She laid flat, staring into his dark eyes with his hair ruffled.

“Miss. Richards…” he teased with a grin across his face.

“Yes, Mr. Edwards.” She smiled back.

“I am going to ravish you, lick you here,” he said running his finger over her tummy, “and here,” across her C-section scar, “and here.” He glided his fingers down to her womanhood between her slick folds. “And you,” he added, lifting his head to look at her. “Are going to wiggle and beg me to stop.”

“Is that right?” She giggled.

“Yep…now prepare…as I’m going down,” he teased lifting his brows.

Sophie was hardly going to argue with him. Kacey was fed and changed, so she knew they wouldn’t be disturbed, so hell, let the fun begin, she smiled. His lips pressed softly against her tummy, kissing every little inch. She closed her eyes tight enchanting his trace. The flick of his tongue sent her entire body into orbit. Her heart beat overtime, not believing how lucky she’d become finding her match, her love, her innocence.

He slowly, moved down kissing her scar, she cringed to the fact he was there, but Calvin had assured her it was beautiful just like her. His lips delicately pressing against the area, twinges of ecstasy raced through her, making her boobs tingle and her nipples harden. She pulsed her pelvis when he slipped his fingers between her slick folds. She gasped hitching her breath for a few seconds. Then his body moved down the bed. He went under the sheet, and between her thighs. She widened her legs, waiting and craving for him to delve in and feast.

“Hey…”

Calvin spoke as she opened her eyes, still catching her breath, recovering from her earth shattering experience, he never seemed to stop overpowering her and sending her to oblivion. She opened her eyes catching her breath. His smile shone over his face as he hovered above her so cute and so captivating. He lowered down onto her mouth and kissed her sincerely.

“I. love. You.” he said between each word. “Now we need to be going, even if I would rather stay here with you,” he commented, kissing her again. Sophie felt sleepy longing to stay in bed and drift back into a heavenly sleep.

He climbed off her aware that was it and she had to make a move, after all they were heading back up north. She leaned up on her elbows, bringing up the sheet to cover her, while Calvin headed into his closet naked. She sighed, aware she had to get ready and leave within good time.

“Will you be leaving me up north,” she asked. She swallowed hard sensing her heart collapsing.

Calvin re-appeared wearing his trunks. She stared at him full of sorrow, her eyes filling with emotion. She knew the answer and that killed her even more.

“Hey…it will not be for long,” he promised, sitting on the bed beside her. He reached to take hold of her hand.

“But you don’t know if your father will agree to have you up north,” she stated as he moulded his hand around her cheek, rubbing it gently.

“Don’t worry about Father and I promise you, I will get it sorted.”

“But I will miss you and so will Kacey,” she welled up. Tears trickled down her cheeks as Calvin caught them.

“I will miss you both too…but let’s not make this harder than it already is. I will sort everything out and we will be together before you know it, just have faith in me.”

“I have faith in you, it’s everyone else I don’t,” she said leaning into his hand.

“We will be fine…now come on shake that bottom and let’s get going.”

“I will need to feed Kacey before we leave,” she added.

“No problem…” he said, leaning toward her and kissed her on the lips. “I love you and you have to trust me.” He flicked his finger under her chin, while she tried to smile.

Once packed and ready. Sophie fed and changed Kacey they made the journey up north, with the roads being pretty manic, with the commuters heading home for the weekend.

“You’re very quiet,” Calvin voiced.

Sophie turned her head to stare at him. “I was just thinking about Mum, did I tell you about our conversation on Monday?” she added not remembering if she had or not with her baby brain.

“No, I don’t think you did. What did she say?” he asked driving down the A1.

“She was nasty to be honest, blaming me for the break-up of Mum and Dad, and I guess she’s right.”

“Oi, don’t talk that way, she made the choice all those years ago to lie about the real reason why you left home and disappeared out their life, not you. You were simply protecting what was important to you. She was the adult, you were the young girl, who needed your mum and instead she took your decisions into her hands. She has no right to blame her mistakes on you, at all,” he said hostile.

“She sounded very nasty toward me, and asked me why I carried on with the pregnancy wrecking everything.”

“She said that to you?”

“Yeah,” she lowered her head.

“Yeah, well, I guess she has no remorse and personally no more than she deserves to be honest. Look, I don’t wish to be the bad man, but what she did to you was wrong and you had the right to make a choice, what happened to
freedom of choice?
She is just looking for a direction to point the blame, and because you were the centre of the event, you’re the easy one for her to blame. You didn’t make her slam the door in your face after you handed over Sabastian. She did and I believe if she hadn’t slammed the door in your face your life would’ve been very different,” Calvin added.

“Yes, but I never meant for Dad to break up with her.”

“That is your dad’s choice, not yours. He is mortified to the way she behaved with you, and any father who loved their only daughter would react the same way. She made her bed now she can lay in it,” he argued, turning his head for a brief second to glance at her.

“She is still my mum,” Sophie answered.

“Yes, a mum who let her daughter down.”

Sophie could not possibly add anything more to the conversation with Calvin being right. Her mum had done some nasty things to her, being left to defend for her own life and make her way with nothing in the world. Sophie would be the first to confess she was scared and knew nothing about the real world, having been always isolated in an all-girls school.

“I don’t regret that night with you in the barn,” she added, turning her head to glimpse at him.

Calvin turned his head to peek at her, “And neither do I. I loved you back then and in-between and now…I just hoped I treated you well,” he said, reaching across to place his hand on her lap.

Sophie took hold of his hand, rubbing it gently, “Yes, you were perfect, from what I can remember riddled with nerves,” she scoffed.

“I was pretty anxious myself. I didn’t want to hurt you or overwhelm you, but take it as slow as you desired,” he added keeping a close eye on the traffic.

“You did, you did so much, was special and thank you.”

“What was it like when you discovered you were expecting?” he asked while she stared at him in shock.

“Pooed myself, scared, nervous, I couldn’t believe it, asking myself how could it have happened, when the answer to that was obvious,” she told him.

“Did you think about telling me?” he asked.

“Yeah, but Mum said what was the point, when I was getting rid. And then afterwards, I lied to Mum, I thought about telling you, but I was scared of what your reaction would be and that you were young and men your age were nothing but an inferno of testosterone. I just couldn’t…I’m sorry,” she told him, her heart skipped inside her chest.

“Hey, don’t worry about it, the past is the past I am just pleased I got to find out and have met him, speaking of which…” Sophie sensed the next line. “Sabastian, are we going to tell him that we are getting married?”

“Gosh yes, he will be delighted. I got a text of Caroline last night asking if Sabastian could see us. I texted her and told her I’m with you in London, and I think she was shocked,” Sophie announced.

“Should it really be a shock?” Calvin asked glancing at her.

The journey appeared to be taking forever. She couldn’t help but worry every time Sabastian got brought up. Her heart melted her tongue became tied, not having a clue how to answer Calvin’s questions. It was never going to be easy with their son being brought up by another family, but he was happy and she didn’t have it in her heart to disrupt the poor boy, he was what mattered and only Sabastian could make those vital decisions.

Of course, Sophie would love nothing more than to have Sabastian as a part of her family, being with his little sister and watching him play with her, go out on trips, take him to school, and many more things, but the reality was she’d missed out on nine years of watching him grow up day-by-day and growing into the boy he is. Sophie was so proud that he was a good kid, paying attention at school, guessing he had both his parent’s brains, well more Calvin’s.

Finally, they were arriving to the outskirts of York, just as Kacey woke for her feed, perfect timing.

“Do you wish to go straight to my parents’ house or to your father’s?” he asked.

“Your parents’ I can see father once I have fed Kacey. He’ll be pleased to see us both and we both need to be nourished and watered” She smiled.

“No problem,” he replied with Kacey getting noisier and noisier by the second crying, kicking her little legs and flapping her hands. “Do you want me to stop and feed her now?” he asked.

“I had better as my boobs are leaking. I’m not sure we will make it before I flood the car.” She laughed.

Calvin laughed aloud and pulled over finding a suitable place so she could feed. He went and got some food and water out the rear of the car.

Sophie was the happiest she had been in years, in fact, she had never felt so alive and this happy, ever. She had a great childhood and loved visiting different parts of the world, loved her education, even if she was pushed at times to be better and harder, but she got there and passed all her exams. It had been tough at times and she had lost loads of weight, stress related no doubt and once she discovered she was expecting lost even more weight.

Life had a funny way of throwing things your way, but sometimes it was those things we needed to push us in the right path, only in her case it went slightly wrong.

Once Kacey was fed and her watered they continued the twenty minutes journey and arrived at Calvin’s parents’ house. She saw the place looking exquisite with the sun beaming down on the hall, the tress full of green unable to see the hall due to the matured trees. She glanced at the barn as they passed and smiled remembering that was where their journey began, losing her virginity and enjoying the party that she had attended.

Calvin parked the car up in the rear of the hall. He opened the door for her being the perfect gent like always. He pouted his lips. She smiled, followed by kissing him.

“I cannot wait to tell them our news,” he said excited.

“Ditto.”

She turned and started walking away from him when he slapped her bottom cheeky. She turned and gave him the naughty eyes, as he grinned.
