“That was good,” Jason said, suddenly standing. He turned around.
Todd was expecting to see some growth in the man’s cock, but it didn’t appear to have lifted, or even swollen. Jason sat down next to him and spread his thighs.
“Come on.” He patted the space between. “Let me give you one.”
The friendly command made Todd’s stomach tense. His cock grew heavy, filling slowly with the thought of Jason’s hands on him. He frowned to fight it, but wondered if he should be fighting. Doing as the man had said, he sat between Jason’s open thighs.
As hands began to rub his deltoids, Todd closed his eyes and tried to think about something other than the fiery sensation in his balls and cock. He inhaled and exhaled fully, thinking that might settle his mind.
“It’s a positive part of our routine,” Jason muttered behind him. “Getting to know the bodies of your teammates is what allows you to know them. It lets you know what each one of us is capable of doing, how each of our bodies move, where their strong and weak points are. You’ll then know how to care for them if they’re ever injured. So take it easy, we always give each other rubs.”
“Yeah…” Todd breathed out the word.
“No one takes advantage,” Jason said softly. “No one does anything they don’t want to.”
Todd closed his eyes. “I believe so.”
“Just like on Friday in the bath, you can get up and go whenever you feel like it.”
The idea of getting up and leaving was on Todd’s mind, but he also had curious little demons up there, fighting their way to the front, telling him to stay where he was.
Jason’s hands went lower, slipping down his sides towards his waist. “Your teammates will always respect you,” the man said quietly as his hands reached further around.
The heat of outstretched fingers slipped down to Todd’s swelling cock. Todd smiled as air left his lungs.
It feels good. Let him do it
.
While Jason’s hand gripped around him, Todd fell back against the man’s hard, warm chest and allowed the real rub to begin.
Within seconds his cock was solid. His balls packed tight. Jason stroked gently along his shaft while his other hand explored his chest, delicately rubbing his right nipple.
In the small of his back he felt Jason hardening, and unlike on Friday when he felt puzzled and reluctant, he found he was fascinated.
“That’s right,” Jason whispered in his ear. “Just let it go.”
Fucking right! Let it go
. Todd tensed his thighs and eased his cock between the man’s tightly curled fingers.
“Nothing feels as good as letting yourself go with a teammate,” Jason whispered. “When you’re at your most intimate, that’s when you’re at your most trusting, at your most real.”
Todd’s breathing sped up; the hot moist air funneling in and out in rapid bursts. It felt like a primitive animal within had been turned loose. And he wanted it free, wanted it to charge ahead. Fuck what this meant, just get it done. He widened his legs, pressing himself into Jason’s thigh muscle, sliding against sweat soaked skin with each jerk of the man’s hand. He began to groan with the thrust. He felt it coming.
“Let it go,” Jason whispered into his right ear.
That did it.
In one electric strike, jizz fired.
“Go on, Todd,” Jason urged. “You’ve done it, you’ve made it.”
His mind was in orbit as streams fired from the tip of his cock. He watched through wide eyes as each shot arced into the room and disappeared into the steam.
Jason worked it out of him, his grip easing with each stroke. Finally, Todd’s lungs collapsed and he rested against muscle. Jason’s arms surrounded him.
“That’s all you needed,” he said. “Just one moment of intimacy.”
Todd felt he could lie in this man’s arms and fall asleep. But Jason didn’t let him. He gently nudged him to get up. Todd realized he needed room to deal with himself.
After getting up, still in the half orgasm state, he turned and watched Jason work his fully primed cock. Balls bunched up tight into the base of what was now at least eight inches of blood filled cock. Seeing him rushing towards that moment only another man could know, made Todd want to whack off another load, and he toyed with his sticky swollen tip as the thick lines of cream shot across that hard chest in front of him.
The next day at The Valley, Todd looked out for Jason but couldn’t find him among the first team players at the far end of the pitch. The boss was nowhere to be seen either, and he wondered whether the veteran player had achieved his mission yesterday and had been given a day off.
It was weird to think that another man had jerked him off, but it was also liberating, in a secret kind of way. Last night in bed, Todd had chuckled about it. Men were accustomed to playing with their own cocks, so playing with another man’s must be similar, and he’d briefly wondered what Jason’s cock would have felt like in his hand.
Maybe, like Trent seemed to say on Sunday, it will get easier. Maybe one day soon, Todd would get to find out what it feels like to jerk another man’s cock.
But for now, he focused on training with the lads from the house and the events of yesterday faded from his mind.
They concentrated on passes and tackles for most of the morning, and went for lunch together at midday. Talk was light.
After arriving home last night, Todd had been too worn out and dehydrated to do a pool session with the rest of the lads. So he’d turned in early again. And apart from a few odd looks on the field this morning, no one appeared to be any the wiser of his private induction.
But he did wonder if they were feeling shunned after yet another failure to hang out in the basement sauna with them. Trent had spoken to him, but only to discuss tactics and strategies while training. No one else had said anything to him. So he hoped things hadn’t gone sour in the house after not mingling in those spare evening hours.
He decided to make up for it tonight. He was feeling more comfortable now, and was trying to work out a way to let it drop that he’d got intimate with Jason Collier.
They showered and caught the bus, relaxed for a few hours before eating again, and lazed in the TV room for an hour before hitting the pool.
Todd decided the Jacuzzi had been neglected too long, and took a dip after swimming his ten laps.
Marco, just getting out of the pool, frowned at him. “No sauna?” His dark eyes appeared wary.
Todd stretched his arms over the sides and enjoyed the feel of bubbles hitting his stomach muscles as he lay butt up in the water.
“I reckon we should chill in here first,” he said with a grin, hoping that would show he wasn’t distancing himself.
Marco appeared to debate for a second before turning to the lads.
“Yo!” he shouted. “Toddy boy wants us in the Jacuzzi.” They stopped and muttered to each other, so Todd shouted a few encouragements to sway them.
Luke nodded. “I’m in.” As he began to walk back, the others followed.
The Jacuzzi was six feet by four and had just enough room for the group. It was a close fit but Todd didn’t mind rubbing legs with Trent and Brad.
“So Todd, are you feeling settled yet?” Gavin stared at him from across the turbulent water, giving off that neutral tone, as if still not sure of the new boy, or perhaps wary after Todd’s few days away from their pool time sessions.
Todd smiled. “I’m getting there.”
Gavin looked at him for a moment, his face uncertain. “We wondered if you were backing out,” he said. “Trent said you missed a pool night on Friday, and we all noticed you gave it a miss last night.”
All eyes were on him, and for a moment Todd felt himself getting hot, even though the water was only lukewarm.
“Have you sorted your head out yet?” Trent asked. “We’ve been a bit concerned.”
Todd wondered if they were on the same subject and hesitated to respond. If he had this wrong, and the lads didn’t know about the locker room interactions at The Valley, he could embarrass himself and others for saying. But he remembered telling Trent about the massage from Jason. His words about it getting easier seemed to indicate some knowledge, but Todd couldn’t be sure. That comment could have been about the training.
He decided to be cryptic and see if they picked up on anything.
“I think Aiden’s ideas are a bit unconventional, but I’m willing to take them on board,” he said. “And if he’s putting me on the bench for the charity match, I’m gonna do whatever it takes.”
A wide smile spread across Gavin’s lips and his sudden laughter became infectious around the tub. Todd looked at each face and saw squinting eyes and wide mouths.
“The whole lot of us will be involved in that match,” Brad told him. “Aiden’s not playing most of the first squad. Thompson, Manila, Collier, and probably Atkins and Josh McKenzie, now he’s had a groin strain, will be off.”
“Yeah.” Gavin leaned forward, his brown eyes glinting. “So that means the lot of us have to be on the team. You were always going to be on the bench.”
More laughter followed, making Todd feel suddenly stupid.
Trent turned to him. “Why? What did the boss say?”
Todd wanted to shrink into the water. “Nothing, he just told me he’d put me on the bench.”
“Oh, well, I suppose he’s just doing his best to motivate you,” Marco shouted.
The laughter echoed for a few seconds longer before dying. Todd frowned, wondering if the boss and Jason had coerced him.
“What about this unconventional approach?” Luke shouted to him. “What is it that’s unconventional?”
Again, all eyes were on him. When Todd didn’t answer, Luke looked around, giving what appeared to be a put on frown.
“Do any of you think Aiden has an unconventional approach?” he asked the lads.
“No.” Several voices, along with shaking heads, rippled around the tub.
“I’ve not seen anything unconventional,” Jake said. “Have you Trent?”
Trent was laughing hard now, his face covered by his hands.
“What about you Brad?” Gavin asked. “What do you think about Aiden’s unconventional approach?”
“I don’t know what he’s talking about.” Brad laughed.
Todd creased up. It was clear they were teasing him.
When the laughter calmed again, Gavin spoke.
“What happened yesterday afternoon then? You went to see the boss.”
“Yeah,” Brad cut in. “Is that when he started with his unconventional approach?”
By now laughter was unstoppable amongst Trent and Brad, their jerking shoulders knocked into Todd.
“I had to do extra training,” Todd shouted over the noise.
The laughter died again and a few faces looked pensively at the water. After a few moments of silence, Gavin looked up at him.
“Who was your training with?” he asked in a more serious tone.
All eyes turned to Todd, their laughter twinkles had gone.
“Jason Collier,” he said.
Gavin gave a slow nod, and within his eyes, there was a knowing glint.
Trent turned to him. “So you had your one to one?”
Seeing the same glint in his eyes, Todd nodded. Looking at the rest of the lads, he saw them considering his response. In that moment it felt to him that some expected hurdle had been covered, and although a little embarrassed, he felt hopeful they all knew what had happened yesterday without him having to say it.
But it appeared Gavin wasn’t fully convinced. “Was Jason unconventional with you?” A slow smirk developed on his face and Todd couldn’t help but return the smirk.
“Maybe.”
On his left, Trent’s shoulders began to shudder as if holding in laughter.
“Did he get unconventional with his hands?” he asked.
Todd began to laugh again. “Yeah.”
“And when he finished being unconventional,” Gavin said. “Were you out of breath but with a smile on your face?”
Todd didn’t get chance to answer - the laughter exploded again. Only Gavin remained silent. He smiled at Todd, his eyes still knowing.
“I had my first happy ending with Wayne,” Jake said after the laughter died.
“Mine was with Josh,” Marco said.
“I had Josh, and Leo.” Luke said. “I was shitting it.”
“Who was yours with Trent?” Gavin nodded at him.
Trent shook his head. “You know who mine was with.”
“Tell Todd.” Gavin gestured with a hand.
Trent turned to him.
“I ended up in the bath with Wayne, Craig, Jason, and Kieran Lewis,” he said quietly. The look in his eyes said it was something of a surprise, and Todd remembered last Friday’s bath when Jason started with his hands as Wayne massaged Craig.
“We’ve all got over it though, haven’t we lads?” Gavin looked around at everyone. They all nodded, appeared relaxed.
“So what about you Gavin?” Todd asked. “Who christened you?”
Gavin smiled as he lifted his head high.
“I got the cream of the crop, Sean Thompson.” He looked around as if daring anyone to better that.
“Cream is right…” Luke said. “Right in your face I bet.”
As more laughter broke out, Gavin’s eyes grew fierce and blazed at Luke. Slowly, he subsided into a smile.
“I never told anyone about that.” He laughed. Looking back at Todd, he seemed to drop his subtle attitude. “You know, when I met you that first night, I reckoned you would have trouble with that side of things. I said to myself, here’s a man who won’t go for it.”
“It was a shock,” Todd said.
Gavin smiled, appearing genuine for the first time. “It’s nothing,” he said with a shrug. “It’s just massaging, the players get massages all the time by the therapists, and they’re all male. So, the team doing it for each other is nothing.”
“Yeah,” Luke said, lifting his arm up and throwing it around Marco’s shoulders to pull him close. “The boss just wants us to look after each other. So, we do.”
Todd chuckled and sat back, his arms stretching along the edge of the tub. Finally he could put last Friday behind him and just get in with the team and work himself up for the charity match.
“Do you feel alright about it all?” Trent asked him in a softer tone.
Todd saw from his eyes that it was a serious question, so he gave a brief thought to that moment yesterday when he deliberated whether to go into the steam room or get changed. The tickle of excitement in his gut told him he’d made the right decision.
“Yeah.” He nodded.
Trent grinned, lifted his arm from the water and curled it around Todd’s neck. “We knew you’d fit in. At first we wondered if you’d be shy about it. We even took bets on whether you’d stay or go.”
“I’ll tell you who’s shy,” Brad cut in. “Atkins.”
“Daryl Atkins.” Trent nodded. “He is fucking shy.”
Todd nodded with them.
“It’s weird because all the magazines go mad for him,” Brad carried on. “They’ve got posters of him in every shop, so you’d think he’d be full of himself. But he is so fucking quiet.”
“I think he
is
full of himself,” Gavin said. “He hardly talks and steers clear of most of the guys.”
“I don’t think he’s full of himself,” Todd said. “He came to my room one night last week and he seemed nervous as fuck but friendly.”
“What did he come to your room for?” Trent asked.
“To say hello, introduce himself.”
Brad nodded. “He’s very polite.”
“Yeah he’s polite,” Trent said. “But so fucking shy.”
Gavin sat quietly, staring at Todd again as if thinking. Eventually he smiled. “Perhaps the golden wonder boy has a soft spot for you, Todd.”
Todd didn’t respond, except with an indifferent smile.
The lads went on talking about the other players as they headed to the sauna. Todd began to wonder about Daryl, whether he was not into the team in the same way the other players were. Perhaps his shyness was because he couldn’t do the intimate thing.
During the sauna, he again noticed how tactile the lads were. Luke’s arm rested around Marco’s shoulders, and Trent sat behind Gavin rubbing his back. This time, as opposed to the first time, when it just made him feel at ease, he felt he could get aroused right now, and wondered if the lads at the house had all done it together, perhaps had jerk off contests. He didn’t ask.
Afterwards, they showered together, managing to share the four showerheads between them. Todd found it cozy and natural to have firm muscular torsos and legs rubbing against him under the hot water, and he didn’t mind Luke’s hands slowly washing over his hips.
Thinking of when he’d turned twenty a few months back and how he’d felt that he’d grown up into a man, he realized how naïve that had been. Right now he knew he wasn’t; yesterday afternoon in the steam room had told him he was still somewhere between boy and man.
Once clean, they dried at the side of the pool, wrapped themselves in towels and piled up the stairs to the kitchen. Todd loitered as they reached the kitchen and tapped Trent on the shoulder as he passed by.
“Does it ever go further?” he asked quietly. “I mean, does it become anything more between the players.”
Trent stopped, looked at him with curious eyes. The rest of the lads disappeared into the hallway.
“It’s sort of undefined,” he muttered. “There are no rules to say it can’t, and no rules to say it can, or it should.” He patted Todd’s shoulder. “You’ll find out as time goes by. Don’t sweat it.”
