Myka could feel the jealousy searing through her body as Blake put his arms around Callie and began rocking her back and forth. He told Callie he was going to call Doc Bailey, but Callie insisted she’d be fine in just a little while. Blake gently informed her that she was going to see Doc anyway, just to make sure that she wasn’t hurt anywhere, and Callie nodded in agreement. He apologized to her for no one showing up when she used her safe word and assured her the staff responsible was going to be terminated immediately.

The door to Blake’s office opened, and Master Kip came in. Blake explained what happened and asked him to give Callie some one-on-one time and to make sure she saw Doc when he arrived. “C’mon, honey,” Master Kip said gently as he picked Callie up. “Let’s go find a nice quiet spot, okay?” Callie wrapped her arms around his neck and laid her head on his shoulder. Before they went out, though, Callie looked over at Myka, smiled, and said “thank you.” Myka nodded her head and smiled in return.

Once they left the room, Blake went over to Myka and put her in his lap. She laid her head on his chest and began to cry. “I’m so sorry, sweetheart. I should’ve never have left you alone like that.” She didn’t say a word, just allowed her tears to flow freely. She wasn’t only crying for Callie, but for herself as well. She would never be able to live in Blake’s world—not like he wanted her to anyway. She was going to have to tell him good-bye, and it was breaking her heart.

When she finally stopped crying, Blake said, “I need you to talk to me, honey. Tell me what you’re thinking.” She sat there, unresponsive. This time, he spoke a little louder. “Myka, answer me.”

“Don’t ‘Myka’ me, Blake! Let me go!” she said angrily, trying to get up, but to no avail. “I
said
let me go!” she screamed, hitting at his arms.

“I’m not letting you go until you talk to me,” he replied calmly.

“You know what—fuck you! I’m calling Kim, and I’m going back to stay with her! And, I don’t think you’re going to like what I have to say to you anyway, so, let. Me. Go!”

“I’m not letting you go, Myka. You have to tell me what you’re thinking.”

Myka continued to sit, determined not to speak. “Do I need to help you?”

“Fuck you.”

“Well, I do appreciate the invitation, but that’ll have to wait until
after
we talk. You’re obviously angry with me, so let’s start there, shall we?”

“You left me out there all alone, and you promised that when someone used their safe word people would come—and nobody came, Blake! All I keep seeing in my mind is that sick, sadistic bastard beating the hell out of Callie over and over, and I never want to see something like that again!” Blake began to try and rock her, but she couldn’t relax and had started to cry again.

“There’s still more you need to tell me, Myka.”

“No there’s not.”

“Don’t lie to me. I know there’s something else bothering you, so out with it.”

She looked down at her hands and started to play with the hem of her leather skirt. She knew she was wrong for feeling it, but she told him. “You held her and you rocked her.”

“So it upset you that I was taking care of Callie. Myka, she needed me to do that for her. She had just been through a traumatic experience, and she needed some comfort.”

“I know!” she cried, feeling like a horrible person when he had put it that way.

“You also know that
you’re
the reason I handed her off to Master Kip, right?”

Myka sat there quietly for a few moments. “I talked to you like you told me to and told you how I felt, so will you please let me go now?”

“I’m not letting you leave, Myka—not like this. You’re going to spend another night with me, and then if you want to go back to Kim’s tomorrow, then I’ll call Caleb and Logan myself.”

Myka was drained from crying and numb emotionally. She just wanted to get away from the club. “Can we please go now? I don’t want to stay here any longer.”

“Give me five minutes. I need to go check in on Callie, and then I’ll take you home, okay?”

Myka nodded and sat there silently as he walked out of his office. If she had her own car, she would have left without him.

They were both silent on the way home, but she knew it wasn’t the end of their discussion. She didn’t want to talk, though. She just wanted to sleep. Once they got there, Blake carried her inside and put her on the sofa. He fixed her a drink and handed it to her before fixing himself one as well. This was going to be a long night.

Blake wanted more than anything to hold her and rock her so he could make all the bad things go away, but he knew he had to approach her carefully. “Myka, will you listen to me, please?” Myka nodded, not looking up. “I’m so sorry that our night didn’t turn out like we wanted it to. I was hoping it would be fun and exciting for you, but obviously it wasn’t. I know you’re upset right now, and you have every right to be, but I want you to know that I’m not everything in that club. Yes, I’m a Dom, and I want a submissive, but just because there are rules at the club doesn’t mean we have to have those same rules to live by. A D/s relationship is just like any other. You agree on what you want and go on from there. I have never met a woman that touched my heart the way you do, Myka. I’m trying really hard not to react in my typical ‘Dom’ manner, but I have to say that tying you up and not letting you leave until you see things my way is very tempting right now. But, this isn’t about me—it’s about you. I’m just asking that you not walk away without giving us a chance first.”

Blake had never had to ask a woman to give him a chance before. This, too, was new to him, and he hoped like hell he had handled it the right way. He took her hand and brought it up to his lips, kissing it gently. “Please talk to me, Myka.”

Myka inhaled sharply when he kissed her hand—she could feel the electricity coursing through her body from his touch. She had listened to every word he said and definitely noticed the fact that he was using ‘please.’ He also asked her rather than told her. How could she not give him another chance? She looked up into his eyes, seeing the genuine honesty and concern. “Blake, I know that what happened tonight wasn’t your fault,” she said softly. “You tried to make it good, and that asshole ruined it. It was just really overwhelming, and I was afraid I was going to do something wrong. I heard what you said to me, and I believe you are truly sincere. If we can really talk about how this is going to work, then I would like to try.”

Blake sat their glasses on the table and stood, pulling her up against his chest. She could feel his muscles against her breasts, and she closed her eyes as he bent down to kiss her. “Thank you,” he said, leading her into the bedroom. Myka could feel the butterflies in her stomach as he undressed her and laid her on the bed. She was slightly disappointed when he didn’t restrain her. He made love to her, yes. It was great, yes. He was giving her what she wanted, yes—no
. Dammit, I’m so confused! I liked it when I couldn’t move. I liked it when he took control. How in the hell is he supposed to know what I want when I don’t even know myself? You just need to sleep on in it, Myka. You can talk with him about it later.
She let out a sigh when he put his arm around her waist, and she snuggled up against his body, gently dozing off in his arms.

Blake knew that she wouldn’t be satisfied with vanilla sex. It wasn’t her, and it damn sure wasn’t him. He could tell she was doing some serious thinking, and he wasn’t going to interrupt her. They could have a long talk tomorrow. So for now, he’d just let her drift off on her own, hoping she was being honest with herself.

Chapter 5

“Good morning, sweetheart,” Blake said, moving her hair out of the way and kissing her on the side of the neck.

“Good morning yourself,” she replied, a slow smile forming on her lips. He held her there for several minutes before getting out of bed and walking to the kitchen—naked. Myka stared at his firm, muscular body and sighed.
What a way to start the day.

While he was in the kitchen, she got up and jumped in the shower. When she was almost finished washing her hair, she heard the door open, and Blake stood there, his hands reaching for the soap and washcloth. “Let me help you with that,” he said seductively. He began to wash her body gently, making sure to take his time when he came to her breasts and then her pussy. “Turn around,” he said, taking the washcloth and soaping up her bottom. He then rinsed her off and took his finger, slowly rubbing in between her cheeks.

“Oh, God, Blake. I’ve never—”

“Shhh, I’m just touching, that’s all.” He started to kiss her on her back and reached around with his other hand to fondle her breasts. Myka moaned and leaned back against his body. “I want to take you from behind, sweetheart. Put both hands on the shower wall and spread your legs for me.” Myka did as she was told and felt his cock rubbing against her pussy from behind. “Lean forward, baby.”

As soon as she was in position, his cock entered her wet pussy, and she braced herself against the wall. She could feel the warm water beating down on her back and his warm cock thrusting in a steady rhythm. She let go of her thoughts and just felt the moment one stroke at a time. “That’s it, baby. Let it go,” he whispered in her ear.

His arm was around her waist, holding her securely in place. She wanted it this way. Him holding her tight or restraining her, she didn’t care. They reached their climax together this time, and as Blake filled her with his cum, he groaned and then leaned forward to kiss her on the shoulder. “That was perfect, sweetheart.” And she smiled to herself, knowing exactly how right he was.

They both got out of the shower, and Blake began to dry her off, inch by slow inch. He was almost finished when he looked up at her with shock and horror on his face. “Blake, what’s wrong?” she asked, not sure what was happening.

“Oh, fuck! I can’t believe I just did that, baby. I’m so sorry—it just slipped my mind, I swear. That’s never happened before.”

“What, Blake? You’re scaring me!”

“I’m sorry, baby. I don’t mean to scare you, but uh, I forgot to wear a condom. Dammit, I’m sorry!” He began to rub his face with both his hands, looking like he could kick himself. “I swear to God I didn’t do that on purpose. I would never try to get you pregnant just so you’d stay with me. Please believe me.”

“Blake,” she said loudly, so he would stop and pay attention to her. “I know you didn’t do it on purpose. It’s
okay
. I’m on birth control. It’s really not a problem.”

He looked like he was still in shock, but he took a deep breath and pulled her toward his wet, naked body. He held her there for a while before speaking. “I guess I assumed when you said you hadn’t been with a man in a long time that you weren’t on birth control. That’s what I get for assuming, huh? Damn, I need some coffee or a shot of vodka or something.” Myka giggled at him as he finished drying himself off and then went into the bedroom to get his hot coffee.

“Wow,” she said playfully, trying to get him to relax. “I didn’t think Masters freaked out like that.” He just looked at her and shook his head, still not believing what he had done. They both slowly began to get dressed, and Myka knew that today was going to be much better than the day before.

After Blake had some coffee and a chance to calm his nerves, he started to return to normal. Myka was looking around in the kitchen to see if there was something she could cook for breakfast and was completely dismayed at the lack of food he had. “You have
no
food, Blake Lawson. This is definitely a bachelor’s kitchen,” she said, smiling.

“I know. I really don’t eat here much, baby, but we can change all that if you decide you’ll stay here with me. How about we go eat at the café this morning, and then we can talk, and then we’ll just take it from there.”

That
, Sir, sounds like a plan,” she replied as she grabbed her purse and headed for the door. Myka enjoyed the morning crowd at the café and was pleasantly surprised at how many people remembered her name. When they finished eating, Blake paid the bill and they headed out to the truck. “So where are we gonna go talk?” she asked curiously.

“Well, I was thinking we could go sit at the park since it’s such a nice day. Is that alright?”

“I think the park would be a nice place, Blake.” She was hoping that their issues could be worked out. She really wanted him to be in her life.

As they arrived at the park, they got out and sat on one of the benches overlooking the pond with the ducks swimming contently by. Blake began to speak immediately. “Myka, I want you to tell me exactly what you want from me and what you want in our relationship.”

She sat there and thought a moment, trying to choose her words carefully. “Blake, I thought about this all night, and I don’t know exactly. That’s the hard part. I thought I did know, but I was wrong. I know I want to be your sub, but I just don’t know about all the other stuff. After last night, and it was really nice by the way, I know for sure that I like to be restrained. I would be willing to try other stuff, but I don’t want to do it at the club—at least not right now and not with other people around. I’m really trying to be open-minded, and I’d be lying if I said some of that stuff didn’t turn me on. We just need to go slow, if that’s okay.”
