Chapter 9

“How was your flight man?” I ask Buzz as he climbs into the Hummers back seat.

“Ugh, I had a whiney two year old next to me, how do you think it was? You would think that because I’m here to save her kid, that Holly would spring for first class or let me use her Jet, but no, coach. Can you believe that? Coach. I’m too old for that shit.” I can’t help but laugh. Tears actually form, I’m laughing at him so hard.
“You should come work for me Buzz, you would make enough that you could buy your own first class tickets.” He raises his eye brow at me inquisitively.

“That an offer Tuck?” he chuckles.
“Well, let’s see how you can handle this job old man, then we will talk.”

Shifting back into my seat and facing forward again, I pull away from the airport, heading back towards my home. There’s no point in Buzz staying at a hotel, we can plan our attack and what we’re going to do at my house. Being under the same roof will just be better.
“How you doing kid?” Buzz asks Razor. Razor looks back at him, and starts chatting. It’s nice, seeing Razor like a normal kid his age would act. Rambling on, talking Buzz’s ear off the whole way, he fills him in on our recon trip from earlier.
“That’s great kid,” he tells Razor, when he finally shuts up, “You did great. That will be really helpful.” Makes me wonder if Buzz has any kids, he’s pretty good with them.

Pulling up into my driveway, I notice a motorcycle sitting by my garage, no rider. Stopping short, I spin towards Razor.
“Stay here and don’t move.” In the rearview mirror, I see Buzz raise his eyebrows.
“That bike doesn’t belong to me, and doesn’t belong here.” Nodding, I watch as he pulls off his suit jacket.
“Got an extra piece Tuck? Damn airport security wouldn’t let me bring mine.” I point to the rear compartment behind him. As he reaches over the seat and pulls up one of the .45’s, checking the ammo, I try to get out, quietly. Looking around my driveway, pulling the bodyguard out from between my front seats, I pop the mag in. Buzz climbs out behind me, we leave the doors open. Slamming them shut would only startle whoever is here, and notify them that we are here. Buzz goes around the rear of the Hummer to take the right way around my house, and I start to creep forward to take the left.

“Hello Lance.” Twisting on my foot, gun aimed right at her head, Jessica is sitting in the shade, under a tree behind me.

“What the fuck are you doing here?” Tramping over to her, I lower my gun and grab her by the arm. I yank her to her feet so we are eye level, I can see the fear.
“You know I won’t hurt you Jessica, so drop the scared girl act, and tell me what the hell is going on.” Looking down, I instantly drop her arm and take a step back. The horrors that have haunted me for years flood back, washing over my senses. Her ring finger is just a stub. Her beautiful, graceful finger that only for a day had held the rock I spent a month’s salary on for her. All my senses tell me to pull her tight body flush against mine and take her here and now. To avoid that, I take another step back.

“You’re really alive. God Jessica, do you know how many nightmares I had? How much I hurt? You couldn’t just pick up the phone and say, ‘Hey Tuck, I’m alive, sorry?’ Why today? Why call me today?” My screaming at her draws Buzz from around the house, and Razor climbs out of the Hummer, but I ignore them both. Completely focused on her beautiful face, the hurt that spreads across it, the tears falling from her big brown eyes. Fighting the urge to hold her, and make it all go away, I have to think of what she put everyone through.

“Lance,” she whispers, “You don’t know what I’ve been through. I would never intentionally hurt you. What I did, was to save your life. So please,
before you judge me, hear me out.” Her voice cracks as she speaks to me, and it’s filled with pain, fear, love.

Before I get a chance to speak, a car comes flying up my driveway, slamming on the brakes to avoid hitting my Hummer. Fergie blasting on the radio. The moment I see the red Porsche, I feel an Oh Shit thing going on here. Lianna comes bounding out of her car, oblivious to everything, bouncing over to me. Her cut off shorts and tiny tank top don’t leave much to the imagination. My poor cock is going to have an over load today.
“Hey baby, I couldn’t wait to get here!” she exclaims. Finally realizing what she walked into, she grabs my arm and narrows her eyes at Jessica.
“Who’s this?” the tone of her voice icy and sharp, “What’s going on Tuck baby?” Turning towards her, but not taking my eyes off of Jessica, I pull Lianna off my arm.

“Hey there, what are you doing here? Thought you got out tomorrow?”
Finally, I gaze down at her. The jealousy is written all over her face. Her eyes moving between me and Jessica, she huffs out an exaggerated breath.

“I have an audition tomorrow in New York. They want me to do Broadway Tuck, can you believe it? I couldn’t wait to tell you, I came right here.”

Unbelievable. Talk about bad timing. My current, whatever you would call her, and the love of my life I have never gotten over, standing in my yard, glaring at each other. This will not end well.

“You going to introduce me to your little girl friend Lance?” The hurt edge in Jessica’s tone snaps my attention back to the two women. Looking at Buzz, he shrugs his shoulders as if saying ‘On your own man’. Razor and Buzz both back up closer to the Hummer. Both stand there, watching in anticipation of how this will unfold. Smirks on their faces. Thanks guys. Nice to know you have my back. Bringing my hand up to rub my chin, I think of how best to do this introduction.

“Jessica, this is Lianna, my friend. Lianna, this is Jessica, she’s an old friend.”
Both women glare at each other, then at me. Oh Shit. There it is. I’m screwed.

They both start talking at once.
“Why does she get to call you Lance?” Lianna
“Old friend? Don’t you mean fiancé?” Jessica

Fiancé? Are you kidding me? You were going to marry this? You never told me you were engaged?” Lianna

“This? What the hell does that mean? Bitch you’re just trash. Druggie trash,
from what I can see, just something to lay.” Jessica

This is not going to end well. They get in each other’s face, fingers start pointing. Lianna shoves Jessica, who shoves her back and before I know what’s happening, they are rolling on the ground, pulling hair, screaming and hitting. Groaning to myself, I look over at Buzz and Razor. Breasts are flying out of shirts, if it wasn’t so aggravating, it would be the biggest turn on ever. They seem to be enjoying themselves a bit too much.
“Buzz, get your fat ass over here and help me out with this.” He jumps up, as if getting caught doing something wrong and rushes over. Grabbing Lianna, to pull her out from under Jessica, who seems to be winning, I grab Jessica’s arm and yank her off Lianna.

Without releasing Jessica, I point to Lianna.
“Good luck tomorrow. I have business I need to take care of. You need to go babe. We’ll talk later.” Buzz let’s go of her, so she can return to her car. Instead, she ambles over to me, her eyes never leaving Jessica, as she smiles, reaching up to caress my face. Placing her plump, juicy lips to mine, she shoves her tongue in my mouth, her hands, roaming lower and lower, until finally calling attention to the rock hard flag in my pants.
“Mmm honey, we will talk later. Seems we have some unfinished business of our own.” Giggling as she walks away, I see Jessica’s face turn red, and her eyes water up. Pulling her arm away from me, she stalks towards the bike.

“Where the hell do you think you’re going?” I ask her.

“What do you care Lance? You have your little piece of trash. I know, I shouldn’t have come here. I’m sorry. I just tho-. Forget it,” she starts to shove the helmet on her head, as Lianna burns rubber, backing out of my driveway. Rushing over to the bike, I easily pick her up, throwing her over my shoulder and walk to my front door.

“You two, stay out here. Take a walk or go get something to eat. Just give me some time,” I yell at the guys. Tossing my keys to Buzz, I slam the door closed behind me, taking Jessica straight to my bedroom. Now, unable to be interrupted, I plan to get the whole truth from her. All alone, her ass in my face, I realize how much I’ve missed it, missed her, and how much I still love her. She was always the only woman who ever called me Lance. No matter what she’s been through, I doubt anything could change the way I feel completely. This must be one hell of a story I’m about to hear though. It has to be, if it kept her away from me like that. Saved my life she said. What does that even mean?

Chapter 10

Throwing her onto the bed, I pull the helmet off her head, and am face to face with tears, and can see the hurt covering her face. With a loud sigh, I pull her into me, wrapping my arms around her. Her head tucks neatly into my shoulder, where it belongs. As she sobs, I stroke her head, rocking slightly, trying to get her to settle down. When the sound finally subsides, and the shaking stops, I pull her away from me. Taking her face in my hands, I tilt it up, so she’s looking in my eyes. I want her to see me, see what she’s done to me.
“Jessica, I never, ever, stopped caring about you. But come on, I thought you were dead, and I went through years of pain, and heart ache. I haven’t been serious with anyone since you, but that doesn’t mean there haven’t been any women.”

“I know,” she says, her voice trembling. “I’ve tried to pay attention to you, as much as I could. But you’re good at staying out of the papers.”

“What happened Jessica? How, how did this all happen? And why come back to me now?” I need these answers. Curling herself up into my lap, I have to shift my body, so that my hard cock isn’t poking her in the face, which that thought just made it worse. The idea of those soft lips around my shaft again, ugh. Clenching my teeth, I adjust into a more, comfortable, position.
Waiting for me to settle, I hear her sigh.

“Tuck, it was bad. The men, the ones that took me, it was scary. I was so worried about you. No one would tell me if you were ok, if you were alive. The Master, that’s who I’ve been with, said that Peter sold me to them for a sacrifice. He was supposed to kill me, they think they are witches. The Coven, they call themselves. But The Master said I was too pure, too beautiful, to kill. So instead, he tried to brainwash me into being a follower. There were beatings, so many of them, that first week. He called you the Devil’s Tool. Said you were evil and that you should die, but if I cooperated, they would let you live. So I did. I couldn’t allow my actions to cause anything to happen to you. They said they would only know I was with them if I,” she sighs, her body shuddering, “If I killed Peter.” She begins to shake again. Pulling her up, I stare into her eyes. Before I know it, I’m kissing her. Pressing my lips to hers, forcefully, and it’s just like old times. Her mouth opens, allowing me access to taste her, and it’s the best things I’ve tasted in so long.

Pulling away, she smiles at me and continues her story.
“He’s going to kill the boy Tuck. I tried to run away a few times, they always bring me back. They sacrifice people, kill them. Normally it’s a whore or druggie. But this time, they are killing a child. Sebastian. That’s why Christian is bringing him to them. Tuck, they will be here in tomorrow. I had to warn you. I risked my life and yours by coming here. I’m sure they will come for me, and shouldn’t have involved you. But since Buzz called you, you’re my only chance. The Master is powerful. Not magically like he has people thinking, but for real, powerful. He has people, moles, and informants. He knows everything. He will come for me. He thinks of me as his possession.” Shaking my head, I stop her.

How did you know Buzz called me? Jessica, nothing will happen to you like that ever again. You’re safe with me,” I tell her.

“They installed bugs in Christians’ homes when he joined. They do that will all high profile members. He uses the information he gets against them if they try to back out. It’s how he has so many powerful people on his side. Tuck, they took my finger. They said it was the only way to prove to Peter and you that I was really dead, and to prove that I was theirs, was on their side. I had to prove to them that their brainwashing or whatever you want to call it, worked. It was horrible. So much pain, and now I’m disfigured for life. Who will want me know.”
“Me, I’ll always want you Jessica.”

“Lance, I’m not the woman you loved, not anymore. I’ve done so many horrible things, just to stay alive. I’m a bad person.”

“You did what you had to, to survive. I understand.”

“That Burro man, the one you told me about, that killed your friend, The Master is business partners with him. He’s buying guns from that man. Tuck, he’s going to kill a lot of innocent people, not just the child.”

Letting this new information sink in, my body goes rigid. I feel her backing away from me, as if she’s afraid. Looking over, I can see the fear in her eyes.
“I’ll never hurt you Jess, you know that, right? Even if I am angry.” Nodding, she still doesn’t move closer again. Feeling cold and empty without her in my arms, I’ll do whatever it takes, to get her back.

“What do you suggest we do?” I ask her.

“Christian and his son will be in Malibu in tomorrow. I told The Master that it would be the day after that, to buy some time. I knew I had to get to you, to them, first.”
“Ok, well, let’s get the guys and figure this out then. We will save the kid, and I’ll save you too.” She smiles up at me, grabbing my face, and kissing me again. That sweet, sweet mouth. It hits me, how much I have missed it. I never thought I would be able to feel those lips on mine again. I feel complete.

Pushing her off of me, her eyes blaze with anger, but right now I have more important things to deal with, not my erection. Leaving my room, with Jessica trailing behind me, I open the front door, and see Buzz and Razor, basically standing in the same positions I left them in.

“You idiots
going to come in here or stand out there all day?” Their heads snap in my direction collectively.
“Razor, want to grab my gun for me please? It fell over there by the trees,” I say pointing, “Then you can pull the Hummer and the bike into the garage. Buzz, grab your bags, let’s go.”

This is the fullest my home has ever been. Since Jessica, I haven’t been in a real relationship. Other than Razor, and Lianna, no one else has ever been here. Which leads me to wonder how Jessica knew where I live. I didn’t own this place when I was with her. I just bought it two years ago. Looking over to her, sitting at the island counter in my kitchen, as Razor cooks up some dinner, I wonder how much I can trust her. I’ve obviously been deceived by her once already. Is she pulling something over me now? As much as it pains me to do so, I’ll have to tread carefully where she is concerned. But, it is nice, to see her alive, smiling, chatting with Buzz and Raz. Like a normal little group, thoughts of the trouble we are about to cause, nearly forgotten.

Remembering that I hadn’t checked my email since I talked to Chris this morning, I excuse myself and head back to my bedroom. Powering up the laptop, I see what I wanted. The email from Chris, has names, backgrounds and even government files that are definitely not for my eyes.

Tuck,

Funny thing, the Feds have me following up on the same people. Seems one of their agents went UC with this group, then disappeared about three months ago. No one has heard from him. He was trying to get details on a woman who went missing and was presumed dead. They had info that she was alive and there with them against her will. They don’t know if he’s dead or if he fell for their bullshit. He was a young guy. They also have some pretty powerful politicians on their side. I don’t have names yet, but I’m working on it. Be careful. So, I’m forwarding you the files they gave me, and what I’ve found, but you have to play dumb. You know the drill. Delete, deny. Hope this helps. Let me know if you need anything else Brother.

Chris

This is not good. She was telling the truth. How is it that I go all these years, without running across Burro, and now two files in a row, I’m pulled into, he pops up? Maybe it’s a sign. I should kill him. The rest of the file is addresses, names,
and account information of possible members of this Coven. Surveillance photos from the Feds. These photos include several of Jessica, with a big question mark under them. Seems they didn’t know who she was, and were trying very hard to figure it out. There’s also a file on the kid that was sent in under cover. Before heading back to the kitchen I grab my phone dialing Lianna.

'Baby, wanna tell me what's going on?" She asks, not even saying hello.

"Listen, it’s hard to explain. Just go on your audition and we can talk when you get back. I have a job to do so I’ll be tied up for a day or so anyways."

"Tuck, you never told me you had a
fiancé." I can hear the pout in her voice. Letting out a sigh, this may be bad. What do I tell her? I don’t even know what I want right now.

"Lianna, it’s complicated and not something I want to do over the phone. Yes she was my fiancé," putting emphasis on the word was to get the point across.

"You could come here, you know." As much as my
dick jumps at that thought, I need to push those urges away for now, until I can figure everything out. I need to know what exactly kept Jessica there. She knows I would have given my life to protect her, so she can't use saving me as an excuse. I have to show her who The Master really is and get answers. Sex is only going to complicate everything.

"Lianna, we will talk when you get back from New York. I promise.
I have a job to do and some things to clear up. We’ll talk soon. Good luck." Hanging up before she replies, I wonder if I'm going to lose her. Not that we are actually together. I just don’t want to cause her any pain. Jessica either. How do I get myself into these messes? Printing out only that final part of the file, I head back into the kitchen. Jessica has a lot of questions to answer, then, we’re going to bed early. I really, really, just need to hold her. Need to know that she’s real, and alive, and actually here.
