“Kennedy was
madder at him than me. She said he should be horsewhipped. Then she said something in Irish and I was lost. But I’m pretty sure Samuel knew. He apologized to me and left when she did. I think they might have killed each other.”

“Doubtful. Kennedy would kick his ass.”

They sat there for several minutes, and she was nearly asleep again when he spoke. “I think we should really open this investigative firm. Mostly we could work for paranormals, but I think we could help out the locals if you want.” She looked at him over her shoulder to see if he was serious. “We could do it, I think.”

“I do as well.” She looked out the window. “What would we call ourselves?
Shifter Extraordinary? Shifters Finding Shifters?”

“I was thinking something more boring. How about Jonas Investigations
?” She laughed with him. “Unless you want to call it Jonas’ Dicks?”

“No, I think Jonas Investigations is great. I guess I’ll have to marry you soon if I want to be a part of the name.”

Kaleb picked her up and put her on the bed. She was going to make this work with him if it was the last thing she did. Loving Kaleb Jonas was going to be so much fun. And working with him even better. As he spooned up behind her in the bed, she wrapped her arm over his that was at her waist.

“I love you
, Kaleb.” He nipped her ear and told her he loved her as well. Thor smiled as she drifted off. It was never going to be dull with him, that was for sure.
