He nipped her shoulder and that seemed to be all that was needed. They both climaxed at the same time. Stars seemed to explode behind Lola’s eyes. Then she felt an overwhelming peace and rightness. She held on to him as his seed kept pouring into her. She couldn’t move if she wanted to. Her body had become completely boneless and immobile. She soaked up his warmth and strength.

LarIS carefully turned them so they were both laying on their sides. His cock still buried inside of her. He didn’t want to ever leave her. She was home to him.

'You are my home as well,'
she whispered into his mind as she faded into a restful sleep.

The Goddess KatieRI truly blessed him with his bond mate and he was eternally grateful. He held Lola in his arms and let sleep take him.

Chapter Ten

“I am glad that you returned. When will you come back to the colony?” a woman asked on the video feed coming through on the monitor. She held a writhing toddler who wanted to be put down.

“I am not sure. I did not find the Morin transport and hate leaving the search party. I will try to visit before I leave to renew the search,” AshOR told his sister, EllinOR.

“What about you, TylOR? Will you come with AshOR to visit? Your nephew misses both of his uncles,” she asked, finally letting her son down.

“I will come soon. I may be joining the search party for the Morins as well.”

“No! Not both of you! You two are the only family I have besides my mate and my young. I do not want both of you in danger.” She looked upset.

“EllinOR. We are warriors, we will always be faced with danger. You know this,” AshOR reminded her.

She looked away to get herself under control. Then she turned to look at both of them. “You will both promise to be careful.” It was a demand not a question.

Both males nodded their heads. “Yes of course.”

“Come see us soon. I miss you, both of you,” her voice broke off a little.

“We will,” TylOR promised before they ended the transmission.

“Well, that went great,” AshOR commented wirily.

“She is upset because she misses you. Perhaps you need to return to the Colony and remain there,” TylOR told him, going to the door to leave.

“She misses both of us. Perhaps you should go there and stay a while.” AshOR didn’t like this male telling him what to do. Sure they were half-brothers, but they didn’t grow up together. They didn’t have a sibling bond like he had with his sister.

“I will visit her soon.” TylOR was struggling with having a family all of a sudden. He was so used to being alone, growing up alone, being an outcast among the Kiljorns. It was going to take a while for him to get used to the idea there was someone else out there who actually cared about him.

AshOR followed his older brother down the hallway. “She is trying to reach out to you. I do not know why she bothers to even attempt it. But she has always had a soft heart and she deserves better than a brush off. The least you could do is visit with her and let her get to know you. Not that there is that much to get to know.”

TylOR stopped walking and turned to face the other male, the one that looked so much like his father…and himself. “I said that I would visit. You are not my keeper.”

“No, just your unwanted brother.” AshOR resented it. He resented the fact his father had been mated to another and had a young with her before leaving and coming to the Colony. He resented the fact the other male had been thrown in his face as something to be looked up to, someone to strive to be more like. AshOR never felt he was good enough in his father’s eyes.

TylOR would have said something else but his eyes were immediately drawn to the tiny and curvy female headed in his direction. Elizabeth… Lizzie. His body went on full alert and that made him frown. He didn’t want to react to the little female. His brother had no problem with it.

“Lizzie, you look lovely as always.” AshOR stepped forward taking the female’s hand into his and lifting it up to his lips. She blushed making her look even more beautiful.

“Thanks, AshOR. I’m glad you’re back safe and sound.” She touched his arm with a gentle hand. TylOR growled. She looked at him with a frown. What was TylOR’s problem? “TylOR.”

“Elizabeth.” TylOR didn’t reach for her, though he had this weird desire to do so.

“Will you be on Katiera long?” She turned back to AshOR. The taller man made her a little uncomfortable. Not that she felt he would hurt her. All the Katierans, Kiljorns, and Colonists were protective of women and children. It was their culture. But TylOR always seemed to look right through her and made her feel inadequate. She was short and chubby. Nothing could lengthen her height and it seemed that no matter how many times she had gone on a diet, she always stayed the same size fourteen. She was not a huge size but compared to the other women brought from Earth to Katiera, she was considered one of the more plus sized ones. She was usually okay with her body image, but TylOR made her unsure of herself and she didn’t like that at all.

“I will be traveling to the Colony soon to visit my sister and her family. But I expect to be re-deployed back through the wormhole,” AshOR told her. She was such a breath of fresh hair. Her blue eyes sparkled and she had a sweet tinkling laugh that brought joy to any room. He found her quite attractive, but it was clear to anyone looking that TylOR and Lizzie were attracted to one another. So why was his brother acting like a total ass around the female?

An awkward silence fell as Lizzie and TylOR both tried to not look at each other, failing miserably. AshOR finally understood the Earth term “third wheel”. “What about you Lizzie? Will you be staying on Katiera or can I convince you to visit the Colony again?”

“I am going to be going on the next outbound Katieran transport back to Earth,” she said, ignoring the growl that came from TylOR’s direction.

“You are returning to Earth for good?” AshOR was shocked. From all he heard, Earth was in pretty bad shape. The population was overgrown and their natural resources were almost completely gone. The planet was dying and if the people did not relocate they too would begin to die out. That was why the Katierans made an agreement with them to relocate females to Katiera. Katiera needed females and Earth had too many on their planet.

“No, I am going to be helping with the Culture classes on board the transport to teach the new refugees from Earth about Katiera,” she explained, glancing at TylOR’s angry expression out of the corner of her eyes.

“You should not be traveling through the wormhole. It is too dangerous, especially with the Morins still not found.” TylOR took an aggressive step toward her. Everything male in him wanted to throw her over his shoulder and take her somewhere safe.

“It’s not up to you, Commander,” she told TylOR coldly. She turned a warm smile to AshOR. “Good luck with everything and stay safe.”

“Will you be at the celebration?” AshOR asked as she walked away. Lizzie stopped long enough to nod and waved goodbye.

When she was out of sight AshOR glared at his older brother. “You are an idiot!”

TylOR glared back. “You need to stop flirting with that female!”

“You do not get to tell me who I can and cannot flirt with. That is between me and Lizzie.” AshOR stormed off. It was either leave or beat the crap out of the other male. He chose to leave. But his brother definitely needed someone to beat some sense into him.

TylOR stood alone in the hallway. He had to fight down all the different emotions raging through him. Anger, fear, violence, lust, and pain. Just so many that he did not know which to deal with first, so he ignored them all. What else could he do? He sighed. Maybe a quick walk outside with fresh air would help him get his emotions under control. He had a meeting to attend and he needed to have his mind clear and ready. One more glance in the direction that Lizzie took, then he turned to go outside.

Chapter Eleven

Lizzie stood by the blue lift doors on the ground floor. The Security Liaison guarding the lift winked at her a couple of times. She smiled but didn’t try to speak to him. She wasn’t there to flirt with men. She had enough man problems to deal with. She was there for her friend.

Lola arrived earlier that day and had called to ask her to meet her so they could go to some kind of get-together that Cassie was having for the women planning the big celebration. She was a little nervous. This gathering was more for the Primas and Lola was not a Prima, she wasn’t even close. But her best friend wanted her to be there and she couldn’t say no to Lola.

The lift doors opened and Lizzie turned to look at them. A few seconds later Lola walked out with a Liaison guiding her. Her eyes searched the hallway and lit up when she saw Lizzie. The two women ran to each other and gave each other a hug. When they pulled apart Lola began to sign.

“I’m so glad you are here. I have missed you being on the Colonial planet with me.”

Lizzie smiled. “I have missed you too. But you seem to be very happy.”

“I am. LarIS is amazing.” Lola sighed with contentment.

Lizzie felt a little envious of her friend. She was happy Lola found her bond mate, but Lizzie longed to find a man that could love her just as deeply. She feared that kind of love was not meant for her.

“So what are we expected to do at this get-together?” Lizzie asked

“I have no idea. I am just so grateful to you for coming. I know there are one or two others that can speak with sign language, but I am most comfortable with you.” Lola took her friend’s arm as they followed the tall Liaison to a ballroom. He motioned for them to enter.

They stopped just inside the doors and looked around in awe. The whole place had been decorated top to bottom. There were flowers everywhere and banners were hung saying “Happy End of the Year Celebration!”

“I am so glad you guys could make it!” Prima Cassie called out as she came forward to greet them. She looked directly at Lola and asked, “How was your trip back to Katiera?”

Lola signed, “It was fine. I was a little tired but I rested. What did you need us to help with?” Lizzie translated for her.

Cassie smiled. “I followed most of that. Ren and I are trying to learn sign. We thought it would be good for the girls to know too but I think they have caught on quicker than me and Ren,” she laughed. “We are pretty much done with decorations. We’re just making final decisions on the hors d’oeuvres and desserts. Oh, and the cocktails.” She motioned them to follow her over to a large round table where the other women were sitting.

Lola knew most of the women there since they were mainly part of the Prime family. There was Prima SandELa, the matriarch of the Prime family and her niece, Prima AriELa. Prima Captain Jaxon who is mated to Prime Commander KydEL. Prima Medic Kat mated to the youngest brother, Prime Medic SydEL.

Next to Jaxon sat the soon-to-be Prima Lieutenant, Lucy Daniels, who is due to mate Prime ConEL, AriEla’s father. The previous Katieran Legal Adviser to Earth affairs, Lindsey Carreli, who is now mated to Prime Leader KadEN of Kiljor, was there. She smiled and sat down next to Dr. Rose Garrett, the therapist who had helped her so much after her rescue from the Morins. However, there was one woman she hadn’t met that sat on the other side of Dr. Garrett.

“Everyone, I think you all remember Lola Marquesa, she is now mated to Leader LarIS from the Colonial Planet,” Cassie introduced her to the other women. “This is Dr. Elizabeth Connell who has been instrumental in educating the Earth refugees on board the transports coming from Earth to Katiera.”

“Hi ya’ll! Just call me Lizzie.” Lizzie smiled at everyone.

Cassie used sign language to ask Lola if she knew everyone. When Lola responded that she didn’t know the one beside Dr. Garrett, Cassie then introduced them. “Lola, let me introduce you to our newest member of the medical staff here. Dr. Jenny Sampson. She is a Reproductive Endocrinologist.”

Dr. Sampson smiled at the two women. “Please call me Jenny.” She made sure to look directly at Lola so she could easily read her lips. She was probably warned ahead of time about that. Lola was grateful. It was awkward having to try to explain that to people. She felt a little more relaxed about it. She looked around and there were no children present. She knew Cassie had two toddlers and that SandELa had a step-daughter and a young nephew. Cassie must have noticed her looking around.

“We are children free for a few hours tonight. My girls are being watched by their security Liaison,” Cassie explained.

“Their manny takes such good care of them,” Jaxon laughed.

“Shut it, Jaxon.” Cassie tried to sound firm but she couldn’t help but smile.

“Manny?” Lizzie asked curiously.

“Yeah, male nanny…manny,” Jaxon chuckled.

“Please don’t call him that to his face. It would hurt RocKO’s feelings.” Cassie warned her. Jaxon just snorted. Cassie rolled her eyes.

Lola couldn’t help but smile at their antics. It was clear the two had been close friends for a long time. She felt that way about Lizzie even though they had only met almost two years ago. They seemed to connect immediately.

The waiters brought out trays with food on it. Some of them were things Lola recognized from Earth like fried string cheese and twice baked potato wedges. The other items were Katieran origin. She knew the round white fritter tasted like chicken nuggets. The Colonial planet had those too.

“So I wanted to make sure there was food to represent all four nations: Earth, Katiera, Kiljor, and the Colonial Planet. Even the cupcakes will have flavors from each planet. The cocktails are a little harder to do than I thought they would be. We don’t have the same liquor here that is on Earth. We have to use Katieran Juice for a lot of it.” The waiters brought out trays next with different colored cocktail drinks.

Jaxon went to reach for one but Cassie slapped her hand away. “No, ma'am. You stick to water until after that baby is born.”

Jaxon pouted. “A sip won’t hurt.”

Kat agreed with her. “Just a sip should be fine. But not much more.”
