Chapter One

Katlyn elbowed her way through a group of women at the Wilted Petal, an underground club, or so she’d heard. It took two months of researching clubs before she received the tip that had led her here tonight. The man at the door, a very large and hairy beast of a man, asked for her name and she gave him the name Jasmine, codename for, “to be taken,” or that’s what she’d learned on the underground network. It wasn’t easy to find an actual club that catered to the type of thing she so desperately craved.

The bartender came over, dressed in leather pants and vest, and it was all Katlyn could do not to stare outright at the bulge in his pants. He was gorgeous from head to toe.

When he cleared his throat, Katlyn, stammered, “I’d like a martini, something fruity.”

The phone rang and the bartender answered it, listening to whoever was on the other end while not taking his eyes of Katlyn. He then came over and said, “The boss needs to see you in the back. With any luck I’ll see you back in here.” He winked. “Tony’s the name.”

“Your name or your boss’s?”

“Mine.” He made a motion with his finger and Katlyn followed him while the women she had elbowed her way through when she entered gave her knowing glances, smug smiles on their faces.
What have I gotten myself into
, Katlyn thought?

Try as she might, Katlyn couldn’t help but feel nervous as Tony led her down a long, dark corridor. There were no picture frames hanging on the walls and the thick smell of tobacco wafted toward her.

Tony stopped at the door at the end of the hall and rapped twice. When a voice from inside commanded, “Enter,” the door was opened and Katlyn was left to stroll up a red carpet, stopping when she reached a desk. A woman with silver hair dressed all in leather held a leash that was attached to a rather frightened looking young woman who cowered on the floor.

When the woman’s eyes met Katlyn’s she said, “Not to worry. I didn’t call you in here to be my pet. I have one, as you can see.” She gave the leash a pull and the girl walked on her hands and knees to the woman where the leash was released. “That will be all for today, but the next time you’re late for work, you’ll be doing more than just being attached to a leash for a few hours.”

Katlyn swallowed hard as the young woman brushed past her in a mad rush for the door.

“Not to worry, she’s paid quite well. I just don’t tolerate ... well, not much.” The woman lifted a crystal glass to her lips and took a drink. “Back to you. Who are you and who told you to use the name Jasmine at the door?”

Katlyn didn’t bat an eyelash, and she wasn’t about to allow this woman bully her. “I’ve been looking for clubs for months now, and one of the women I chat online with told me how to get in.”

The woman leaned forward. “I see. What was the woman’s name?”

“Grace. Look, I’m not looking for trouble here.”

“What are you looking for, then?”

“I’m looking for a ménage. I was told this is the place to find one.”

“Are you a cop?”

“No.”

“Prove it, girl.”

“H-How?”

“Take off your clothes.”

“I assure you, I’m neither a cop nor here to harm you or your club.”

“I’m waiting.”

“Then I’m leaving. I don’t need this shit.”

Katlyn moved to the door and she was stopped right before leaving. “Fine, go back out to the bar and have your drinks on the house. After all, it’s your first time here.”

Katlyn nodded and yanked the door open, disappearing up the hallway. Sweat was forming on her forehead and it took all of her courage to make it to the bar and slide on a barstool. She tapped her fingernails on the bar until Tony came over with a martini in hand, trying to regain her composure.

“Don’t let her get to you. She does this to all the new girls. Martha is wary of strangers,” Tony explained. He then swaggered away and poured a pitcher of beer, then handed it to a pair of young men who sat next to her.

She tried to calmly sip her drink, but her heart pounded in her chest like a hammer. She had never felt more alive than she did right now. Even her encounter with Martha hadn’t changed how she felt. Katlyn was one step closer to feeling the embrace of two hot studs. As she surveyed the two men seated next to her, Katlyn took in their appearance. They both had wavy hair that would be great for running her fingers through, or grabbing onto when they were going down on her.

Brendan strode into the Wilted Petal. He didn’t need to stop at the doorman who knew him well. His wingman, Chase, wasn’t far behind. Traveling to Newbury had its high points, like coming in here tonight. It wasn’t every day mountain lion shifters made it to the big city, or were regulars in establishment such as this. While mountain lions were known to be quite solitary, Brendan and Chase rather enjoyed doubling up on a willing female. A human.

Brendan about ran into Chase who had just joined him when he spied the blonde sitting at the bar. She was currently eying up the men seated next to her, but neither of those baby-faced men would be worthy enough for this woman, not next to a shifter.

Brendan’s cat senses kicked into gear and something about this woman screamed
Stay away
. He strode to the bar, pushing his long body against the bar, rattling the chair next to the blonde who turned to face him. Her innocent eyes narrowed for a fraction of a second, but then she allowed them to travel the length of his lean frame. He smiled in satisfaction. She had the most innocent eyes he’d ever seen before. Brendan couldn’t help but wonder what they’d look like when he made her come.

Standing near her at the bar was almost too much for his inner beast to control. His primal need to drag her off and ravage her was strong, but that was not in the plans tonight. Tonight, Chase and Brendan had come here for one reason and one reason alone: to find a willing female that they could share for the night. This beauty didn’t appear she’d fit the bill, and he couldn’t help but wonder what she was really doing here. This was the type of place that someone came to looking for casual encounters of the ménage persuasion. His best friend and fellow mountain lion, Chase, didn’t have a problem with indulging their passions. They’d doubled up on a woman before with satisfying results, but was this woman up for the challenge?

At five foot ten, Chase had on his sunglasses to disguise his golden eyes. He wasn’t a fool and he could smell trouble miles away, but that was only his first impression about the blonde who sat next to where Brendan rested against the bar. He could see by the way she had her legs folded under the bar that she was a tall one. Chase wondered what it’d feel like to have them wrapped around his waist. She was both gorgeous and amazon from the looks of it. Her delicate features were reflected in the mirror behind the bar.  From the smell of it, she was a human, one he wanted to sink himself into. If only Brendan wasn’t there, too, seeking his lust … but there was something different this time. Chase wanted to claim her for himself and he could smell her desire for them both, but that wasn’t how it worked. They’d made a pact to never allow a woman to come between them other than between the sheets.

Katlyn’s heart thumped ... her breath caught in her throat, but instead of gazing at the men who had just entered, she introduced herself to the men seated next to her. “Hello, I’m Katlyn,” she said.

They introduced themselves as Seth and Keith, but before their conversation went further, the sound of metal spinning was heard. Katlyn jerked her head around as a quarter spun on the bar near one of the men who had just entered. She stared over to him for the second time. Mr. Tall, Dark and Handsome stared at her, a hint of a smile on his lips. “I’m Brendan. Would you care to join me and Chase at a private table?”

“I’d like to keep my options open,” Katlyn said, trying to sound brave.

“For who? These fools next to you?”

Seth and Keith threw Brendan a dirty look, but otherwise remained silent. That was all the reason Katlyn needed. She detested men that weren’t willing to stake their claim, and she had to admit that the newcomers had more potential, or looked more like they were capable of giving a girl what she really wanted, like their pulsing muscle between her legs. This was new ground for Katlyn. While she’d fantasized about going all the way with two hot men, she had thus far been unable to see it though. It wasn’t the type of thing you would want to do with someone you knew. That would get complicated ... fast. She had a number of male friends, but most of them were friends of her last boyfriend, Bobby.

Katlyn stood up. She was about the same height as Brendan, but taller than the mysterious Chase, who still wore dark sunglasses. The trio sauntered over to a table in the corner, and the women who had smug smiles on their faces when she entered no longer wore them.

Brendan offered Katlyn a chair, but she opted to slide in next to Chase on the booth side. She patted the seat next to her. “Sit here, Brendan,” Katlyn cooed.

“I think not,” Brendan said as he sat opposite her. “I prefer we get to know each other a little better before we go upstairs.”

“Upstairs?” Katlyn asked in a whisper.

“That’s why you’re here right? To fuck?”

Chase grinned. “You don’t have to be so crude, Brendan. Katlyn looks ready to bolt.”

“I-I am not. I’m ready if you boys are,” Katlyn said with a wink.

Brendan stood. “If that’s the case, let’s go on up now,” he challenged her.

Katlyn nervously stood. What had she gotten herself into? And was she really ready to get physical with these men? To allow them to lick, suck, and fuck her. It was too late to change her mind as she was led up to the second floor and into a room with a king-sized bed alongside one wall. While in her mind she had envisioned the walls and ceiling with mirrors, it had none of that. The walls were covered with textured wallpaper in a cream color, but the bed was covered with red satin sheets.

Brendan roamed the room like he’d been here before, and Katlyn half expected he had. She likened his movements to that of a cat, which sent a chill up her spine. He opened a cabinet and came back with a decanter of amber liquid and three glasses. When he poured it, the liquid nearly splashed out of the rocks glasses.

“Ice?” Brendan asked.

Katlyn nodded, not sure what else she should say. “Why are you still wearing sunglasses?” she asked Chase.

He then pulled them off, revealing his golden eyes. “I don’t like to be stared at, and whenever anyone sees my eyes, believe me, they stare.”

Katlyn gazed into Chase’s eyes that almost glowed, and there was something also about them that made her feel like she was staring down a wild animal. She quickly shook that thought away and broke eye contact as she took a glass from Brendan’s hand and lifted it to her lips, drinking enough of the liquid to choke. As she coughed, Chase rubbed her back while Brendan moved in closer.

Brendan smiled and she shyly said, “Sorry, I’m not used to drinking whiskey.”

He arched a brow and asked, “So what are you used to, exactly?”

“I’m not sure what you mean.”

He swept a palm through his hair. “You’re a pretty girl and could find a hundred guys willing to satisfy your fantasies, even some that wouldn’t mind doing a three-way.”
