She didn't want innocent people to suffer, and she didn't want to see the last of the dragons die out, either, now that she knew one still existed. Maybe there was a way to end the cycle. Perhaps this was her destiny. Should she not face it bravely?

She remembered too, the pleasure he had shown her. She had been unwilling and resistant, and he had still coaxed bliss from her body. Her face heated at the recent memory, and she felt a throb of arousal deep inside her belly.

After a long period of indecision, she got up, and holding a thick blanket wrapped around her, she padded on bare feet out of the room.

Nalranith, in dragon form, was coiled up in the main cavern. He breathed deeply, huffing out breaths of steam. It took Lily a moment to realize he was asleep.

As she crept along the outer wall she went past another offshoot room, where a waterfall trickled. Suddenly realizing she was thirsty, she ducked in and gratefully sucked down handfuls of the cool fresh water.

She returned to the cavern, watching the sleeping dragon. She walked closer, until she was right by his head, admiring the magnificent dark scales. One giant eye was half-open, although he did not seem to see her. As she lay a hand on his muzzle, the eyelid opened further and the eye swivelled to look at her.

She swallowed hard, trying to push down her fear as she stroked the warm scales of the dragon's head. She ran a hand over one of his horns, and stroked between his eyes. A low rumbling emanated from the beast and it snaked its tongue out once, tasting the air.

"I am sorry about your people." She said quietly. "You must be very lonely."

Nalranith's eyes closed and he rested his jaw back on the ground.

Lily came closer, and sat down in the crook of his neck, and the beast curled around her. She rested against his warm body, and soon fell asleep.

....

She woke when Nalranith – in man-form once more, tossed something on the ground in front of her. Sitting up, she rubbed her eyes, and looked at the object. It was a rabbit, cooked and crispy.

Nalranith crouched next to her, and ate with his hands, tearing pieces off the rabbit with his sharp teeth. She watched for a minute, uncertain, but hunger got the better of her, and she held her hand out for a piece. It was good, and went a long way toward filling her rumbling stomach.

"Nalranith," she asked, finally getting up the courage to talk. "What happens now? Will you let me go free? After I..." She trailed off.

He licked his lips with his long tongue, staring at her. "I will be able to tell soon enough if you are carrying my egg." He said.

"Is one egg enough?" Lily asked, licking meat juices off her fingers. "You are the last of your kind. If you want to repopulate your species..."

He eyed her, cocking his head to one side. Then he looked away, lowering his eyes. "No." He said sadly. "One is not enough. My mother died after birthing me. She threw herself off a cliff. If she had lived to hatch more dragonlings..."

Lily too, dropped her eyes to the floor. "So, you need me to stay."

He sighed heavily. "I hope that in time, you will want to stay." He said. "I will try not to make it unpleasant for you."

"Last night... it was not... entirely unpleasant." Lily murmured reluctantly. After a moment of hesitation she crawled across the cold floor, abandoning her blanket on the ground and closing the distance between them.

She put her hands on his shoulders, and he looked up at her, his eyes glowing. Lily smiled, and bent forward, pressing her lips against his.

He was still for a few moments, frozen as though surprised. Then he responded, wrapping his strong arms around her waist and pulling her into his lap. His tongue sought her mouth and she parted her lips, allowing him entry.

She had never kissed a man before, and she hadn't known tongue was involved – but she liked it. She mimicked his movements, her own tongue swirling around his, sucking his lips lightly as they pulled apart for breath, only to hungrily pull him closer for more.

She felt him harden, his phallus pressing against her belly. A thrill went through her at the realization of his desire for her, and she felt herself getting wet between the legs. Her hand ran through his wild, tangled hair and caressed one of his horns. He moaned into her mouth.

Lily moved her hips, rubbing herself against his erection. Then, growing bold, she raised herself up, and positioned herself over him. She felt a little pain as she lowered herself slowly onto his huge cock, but it wasn't as bad as before, and as she wrapped her legs around him and ground her hips against his, the pain quickly gave way to pleasure.

She looked into Nalranith's eyes as she slowly rode him, and they rocked their hips together. He wore a strange expression. Wondering - almost amazed. His mouth dropped open and he moaned.

Encouraged, she bent to kiss his ear, and his neck, tasting the smoke on his hot skin. He grabbed her hips and began moving her over him, picking up speed, thrusting up into her until they were slamming together.

Lily cried out, tossing her head back as spasms rocked her body and pleasure overtook her. As she clenched around him, He growled and thrust hard once, twice. He stiffened, holding her hard against his body, his face buried in her hair.

She felt him throb, and his hot fluid spurted inside her. She gasped, trembling, and he held her close while his cock stilled inside her.

She was warm in his embrace, and sated. They breathed together, both catching their breath. When she felt him soften inside her, she withdrew, and his seed spilled out of her. She curled her body against him. He silently stroked her hair.

"You have to get me more to eat than just meat." She told him, after a long comfortable silence.

He chuckled, a sound like crackling fire, and she couldn't help but smile as a mocking tone crept into his voice. "As you say, my Princess."

"And I hope I can have a hot bath around here."

"I can heat water."

"Oh. Of course." She rolled her eyes in a decidely unladylike manner. "Oh! And I want some books. And some clothing. You ruined my dress."

"I will do everything I can to make you happy." He wasn't laughing now – his voice had turned serious.

"Then let's get to know each other." She said, turning to look up at him.

"I would like that." Nalranith said, and after a moment, he cupped her chin with his hand. A claw dug lightly into her skin, but she didn't mind. He tilted her head, and gently kissed her.

"My Princess." He repeated, as though he liked the sound of it.

Lily liked the sound of it, too.
