oday you should continue the Observation portion of the James study. Use your own discretion as to which specific portions you would like to pursue. And as we told you in the Ruth study, be sure to complete your Observation before continuing. If it takes several more days, it’s better to take that time now, before moving into Interpretation and Application. Never rush the Observation of Scripture. When you take your time and glean all you can from observing the text, you won’t be sorry later.
What other new observations can you make from the book of James?

hen you’re ready to move from Observation to Interpretation, do a fresh read-through of the book of James for content. You’ve been reading to observe all you can, and you probably are beginning to know the text fairly well. But now turn your attention to the matters you feel need interpretation. Make a list of everything you find where the content isn’t as clear as you might desire. This list should become the focus of your study for the next several days.
