Keegan watched him go, then turned to Cody. “Are you deserting me too?”
Cody grinned. “’Fraid so, Sunshine. We have a fence that needs to be repaired.” He also leaned in and kissed her lips. “All the bags are in. I’ll see you later for dinner.”
“Okay.” Keegan pouted.
Cody chuckled and tapped her on the nose. “Make something good; I’m going to be hungry later.”
“You’ll get what I fix,” she teased good-naturedly.
“Ooh, she’s feisty. I like that.”
Keegan couldn’t stop the snicker that escaped as Cody left the kitchen and headed back out the front door. They’d fallen into a comfortable sort of existence that she really enjoyed. She wondered how long it would last. What would happen once she remembered who she was?
With a sigh, Keegan continued unloading the bags and tried not to worry too much about the future.
* * * *
Keegan took the casserole out of the oven just as the front door opened and shut. Sam’s and Cody’s voices carried through the house as they spoke softly to one another. Keegan’s heart skipped a beat in excitement. It felt like it had been days since she’d seen them, when in truth it had only been a few hours. Still, the sight of them as they rounded the corner into the kitchen, smelling of hay and sunshine, made her whole body tingle with a sort of glee.
Lord, she felt like a lovesick schoolgirl as she placed the casserole dish on the table. Candles lit up the kitchen, giving the room a romantic look, which was exactly what she’d been after.
While dinner baked, she’d changed into the sexiest thing she could find: one of Sam’s shirts. Her feet had turned cold, so she’d put on a pair of white socks but left her hair down around her shoulders, a look she knew both of them liked.
Sam stopped dead in his tracks the second he saw her, which caused Cody to run into him. Cursing, Cody went around him, then stopped as well as his eyes landed on her unusual attire.
Both of them raked their heated gazes down her body and then back up again. Every inch of her flesh tingled at the hot looks in their eyes. She had a feeling if she didn’t say something soon, she’d find herself on the table, and dinner would be forgotten.
“I hope you guys are hungry,” she said with a grin.
Sam snorted, and Cody shook his head. “Right now, food is the last damn thing on my mind,” Sam drawled.
“Well,” Keegan said as she tossed condoms and lube at Sam. “Eat first. Play after.”
“Eat first?” Sam scoffed. “I could eat you first.”
Keegan smiled as she began to dish out the casserole. She’d wanted to tease them, to drive them nuts, because they were going to have to wait. She refused to let them get her any sooner. She wanted them wild.
“Eat dinner first,” she corrected as she placed the plate at Sam’s chair.
Sam passed the condoms to Cody and then slowly circled around Keegan, making his way to the chair at the end of the table. As he passed her, he slid his palm up under the hem of his shirt and brushed his hand across her ass. Keegan shivered in delight but sent him a look of censure over her shoulder.
“Eat first.”
“Damn tease,” Sam drawled as he sat at the table.
Cody sat on the other side of her. His eyes slowly and deliberately raked over her body, making her stomach flutter. She gave herself a mental pat on the back and took the seat in between them after dishing out three salads and passing around the basket of bread.
Sam took a bite of his food and moaned. “Damn, Keegan. I believe you just might be a chef or something.”
She shook her head and took a sip of tea. “I just followed the directions.”
“Well, you followed them well,” Cody said as he placed a bite of casserole topped with mashed potatoes into his mouth. “We haven’t eaten this good since before Dad died.”
“Did your dad cook?” she asked, genuinely curious about their father.
“No, but there was a woman who really liked Dad who would come over and cook for him pretty often. It was her way of trying to win him over,” Sam said.
“Did it work?”
“No,” Cody replied. “Dad liked her and was always very appreciative of what she did for him, but he said he’d already had the love of his life; he didn’t need anyone else.”
“That’s sad for her,” Keegan murmured. “To love someone like that but not have that love returned.”
“She was a nice lady,” Sam said. “She still pops by on occasion and checks on us. She misses Dad, I think.”
“Did she ever marry anyone else?” she asked.
Sam shook his head as he put another bite of food into his mouth.
“Why haven’t you two ever married?”
Sam swallowed and looked at his brother for help. Keegan frowned, wondering what they were about to tell her.
“Well,” Cody began. “As you know, Sam and I like to share.”
“Really?” Keegan teased. “I would’ve never imagined such a thing.”
Cody returned her amused look. “We would like to find a woman who would be okay with that, and, well, those are few and far between.”
I’m okay with it.
“That’s understandable. I mean, if you think about it, one woman always sandwiched between two men. It could be very overwhelming, time-consuming. Some women might see it as too much.”
“Some women, huh?” Sam asked.
Keegan shrugged one shoulder. “Some. I, on the other hand, have found it to be quite entertaining. I have the best of both worlds. Sweet and tender,” she said as she smiled at Cody; then she looked over at Sam. “And then there’s wild and wicked.”
Cody laughed. Sam grinned. Keegan waited to see what they would say.
“Yep,” Sam drawled. “And there’s twice the testosterone, twice the temper, twice the stubbornness.”
“You’re stubborn? Surely you’re mistaken.”
Sam leaned on his elbow and pointed his finger, pretending to chastise her. Keegan grinned and curled her finger around his. He rubbed his thumb along her knuckle before releasing it and resuming his dinner.
“Just what kind of tempers do the two of you have?” Keegan asked. “Should I be concerned? Should I carry a gun for protection?”
Cody choked on his bite. Sam struggled to swallow past his laughter. “We’re not quite that bad,” Sam said as he reached for his glass of tea. “I tend to yell. Get it off my chest, and it’s over. Cody tends to simmer. He’s much slower to anger. There’s actually been very few times I’ve seen him angry. But I promise you, Cody or I would never hurt you.”
“I know that,” she said softly. “I’m not really sure how, but I do.”
“So what about you?” Sam asked.
She frowned as she realized she had no idea what kind of temper she had. Sam tilted his head as he reached out to cover her hand with his. “I’m sorry, Keegan. I had actually forgotten that you still can’t remember.”
“I sometimes get images that last about a split second. Things I don’t recognize, people I don’t recognize.”
She was still hesitant to tell them about the voices she’d heard. Could that have also been some memory trying to return, or was it just her imagination?
“That you’re remembering anything at all is probably a good sign,” Sam said. “You may wake up any day now and remember everything.”
“But what if I don’t like what I remember?” she whispered.
“What do you mean?” Cody asked.
Keegan shook her head. Pulling her fingers from Sam’s, she waved her hands, dismissing the subject. “Let’s don’t talk about this. Let’s keep things light and fun, like…”
Cody held his hand up and waggled the condoms. “Like the fact that two condoms are not nearly going to be enough?”
Sam chuckled as he watched Keegan work her way around the kitchen in one of his shirts. She looked good in it, even though it swallowed her whole. The hem came almost to her knees, which left her tan calves bare. She had nice legs. They were actually very firm and muscular. As he looked at them, he realized they were legs of a woman who was used to working out. She was toned, with muscle definition that didn’t just come from walking.
He would bet she was a runner.
The rest of her body was hidden by his shirt, but he remembered well how those curves felt beneath his hands. His balls tightened in anticipation as he imagined getting his hands on her again. His brother hadn’t said, but Sam was pretty sure Cody’d had sex with Keegan this morning. If he hadn’t, he was nuts. Sam would’ve. Sam would have sex with her now, but she was determined to clean the kitchen first.
Determined to drive him insane was more like it. He’d offered to help, but she’d waved him away. Cody as well. So here they sat at the table, Cody pouring wine, Sam unable to take his eyes off the mysterious woman who had a hold on his heart so strong Sam was convinced if she tried to leave, she’d take it with her. Both of them were nearly jumping out of their skins with the need to have her against them.
Keegan flitted around the kitchen, bending over at just the right angle so they could see her bottom. He glanced over at Cody, who also stared at her bare ass. The wine he poured into the glass almost spilled over, so Sam reached out and grabbed it quickly before it hit the table.
Cody glanced at him and then the bottle before he set it down. “She’s going to drive me fucking insane,” Cody growled. “Why is it with her, it’s gotta be now? No slow foreplay, no buildup. Just spread those damn legs, and let me inside her.”
Sam chuckled. “You’re preaching to the choir, brother.” Sam leaned over. “I’m thinking we should both take her quick, then go for slow the second time around.”
“I beg your pardon?” Keegan said.
Sam and Cody both looked up in surprise to see her standing so close. “You’re too damn quiet,” Sam grumbled. “Where the hell are those heels we found you in?”
Keegan giggled. “They’re in my room, but if you would like, I can go get them.”
Sam growled and grabbed her hand. With a tug, he pulled her across his lap, where she landed with a soft squeal.
“The last thing I need is to see those legs in heels. I can barely keep my hands to myself as it is.”
She wrapped her arms around his neck and smiled coyly. When she wanted to be, she was quite the devilish little minx. Sam liked that a lot. He liked the way she teased, the way she joked with them. She fit in perfectly between him and Cody. In more ways than one.
He realized as he put his hand at the back of her neck and stared into her beautiful brown eyes that he didn’t want her to leave. He wanted her to stay here with them.
He brushed his thumb over her cheek as he pulled her to him for a kiss. Her lips were soft. Her sigh was sweet to his ears as he slipped his tongue into her mouth. She tasted of tea and Italian spices, and when her tongue touched his, Sam could hardly hold back the moan.
She wasn’t tentative at all. She was bold, confident, sexy as hell. She kissed like a woman who knew what she wanted and went after it. Sam knew what he wanted as well. He wanted her. For the first time in their lives, they’d met a woman who just might be able to handle both of them.
Tonight would tell the tale. If they didn’t scare her off, they might just stand a chance as a threesome.
KEEGAN DREW IN a slow, deep breath just as Sam broke the kiss. Part of her was disappointed that he’d pulled away. Another part was happy for the reprieve, because she knew if he’d kept it up, she would’ve been all over him like a nympho.
Already her nipples were tightening, and her boobs were aching. But then, she’d been in a halfway state of arousal all afternoon anyway. Her time with Cody that morning had only been a teaser for more to come. She wanted them together. She had a feeling the sensation of both of them filling her at the same time would be earth-shattering.
Cody grabbed her hand and pulled her to her feet. “You’re not sore, are you, Keegan?”
She took the glass of wine he handed her and shook her head as she lifted it to take a sip. Truthfully, she wasn’t. Despite his haste to get inside her, he’d been incredibly gentle. But then that was Cody. He took care of her.
Cody pulled her from the kitchen and led her up the stairs to Sam’s bedroom. Sam followed behind them. When he softly slid his hand under the hem of his shirt and pinched her ass, she grinned down at him, trying to ignore the shivers of delight that traveled up her spine.
Tonight would be incredible. Tonight she would let all her inhibitions free, so that way, no matter what tomorrow brought, she would always have tonight.
She took another sip of the wine as Cody pulled her into Sam’s bedroom. Warmth began to spread through her limbs as the wine settled in her stomach. Excitement made her heart race. She’d waited all afternoon for this. Spent the last several hours thinking about it, imagining what it would be like. She had a feeling that no matter how she imagined it, the reality would be so much better—so much hotter.
Cody took the glass from her fingers and finished it off. She grinned as he dropped the glass on the floor, not caring where it landed. He was so cute the way his eyes narrowed in desire. She brushed her thumb across his bottom lip, then stood on tiptoe to drag her tongue lightly across it, licking away the hint of wine that clung to his mouth.
With a low growl, Cody slid his arms around the small of her back and pressed his body flush against hers. His chest rubbed her nipples, making her stomach flutter in need. She wanted to feel his flesh, his cock as it throbbed within her hands.
Sam moved in behind them and smoothed his palms up the outsides of her thighs to her hips. His touch was light and sensual, but the calluses on his palms added a wicked element to it that made her heart skip. Cody moved back just a little, allowing Sam to slowly feather his hands around the tops of her thighs.
Sam kissed the side of her neck, sucking gently at the sensitive spot just below her ear. Keegan could hardly keep still, especially when Sam moved his fingers between her legs. Cody’s tongue danced in her mouth just as Sam’s fingers separated her labia and danced over her clit.
“I want to taste you, Keegan,” Sam murmured in her ear. He touched her opening with the pad of his second finger, and her hips jerked in reflex. “Right here.”
Keegan moaned into Cody’s kiss.
