Erin pulls
her mouth away from my bare breasts and a low growl emits from her throat.  “I want you,” she rasps in a husky tone.  “Been thinking about nothing else the past thirty days.” Her dark eyes flash in the dimly illuminated bedroom. “I want you screaming and cumming on my fingers.”

I moan at her words, but my stubborn, rational brain is telling me
to stop. To wait.  To talk first.  But my body reminds me that it’s been a month since I’ve last felt her talented touch.

She shifts
her body, positioning a knee between my thighs.  She presses her leg into the apex of my core and leers when she, no doubt, feels the immediate wetness on her naked skin.  “Something tells me that you’ve been thinking about this, too,” she lightly taunts.

She presses her thigh harder against my sex and grinds into me
, causing my clit to rub against her upper leg.  I release a long, shaky breath through my nostrils.  “Are you ready for me, baby?” she grins, rotating her upper leg in large, lazy circles, causing my arousal to leak onto her thigh where our skin intimately touches.

“Mmhm,”
I whimper, unabashedly thrusting my hips to garner more friction.

She leans forward and roughly kisses me.  “I’m gonna fuck you,” she states
, pulling away from my kiss-bruised mouth.  She shifts her body once again, resting her full body weight on me.  We both groan at the feeling of our naked skin so intimately pressed together. She reaches between our bodies and slips just the tips of two fingers inside me.

“More,” I insist
, pulling on her shoulders and spreading my legs further apart.

She rewards me with
a cheeky grin.  She thrusts her two fingers fully into me.  “That what you had in mind, baby?” she smirks.

My eyes roll and a low moan tumbles from my
mouth. She pulls her two, arousal-covered fingers completely out and then thrusts them back in, causing my breath to hitch.

“That’s it, baby,”
she encourages as she begins a hard, steady tempo, pistoning her two fingers in and out of my pussy. “Show me how much you love my fingers buried in your sweet little cunny.”

I dig my
polished nails into her back, the short nails biting her flesh and leaving behind tiny half-moons.  “Oh God, Erin,” I pant. “Don’t stop.  Don’t ever stop,” I beg as she continues to attack my insides.

She groans loudly. “Fuck, baby,” she growls. “Your cunt is so fucking
tight for me.  Fuck, I wanna make you cum.”

I curl my toes and grunt
quietly with each insistent push and pull of her fingers.  “Erin,” I breath, still gripping to her shoulders tightly. “Erin, I’m so close.  I’m gonna cum.”

She chuckles, not unkindly. “So soon?  You must not have been taking
good care of yourself while I was gone.  Good thing I’m back to give you all the attention you can handle.”

I grab onto her and pull
her face down for a deep kiss.  Our tongues battle for dominance, furiously wrestling.  Her fingers continue to penetrate my eager sex.  I feel the familiar waves of pleasure tickling in my gut and moving down towards my pelvic bone.  I kiss her harder, hoping to convey without words how good she’s making me feel.

She curls
her fingers, and I go rigid, moaning into her open mouth. A jolt of pleasure shocks my system as the first of, I’m sure, many orgasms of the night floods my system. When I finally regain control of my breathing, I open my eyes to discover Erin staring intently at me.  Her hair is slightly plastered to her forehead, a mixture of rainwater and perspiration.

Erin?” Her name is the only thing I need to say to indicate that I’m not sure what’s going on.

She lays
on her side, propped up on one elbow. The small muscles of her defined bicep twitch beneath soft skin. She brushes a few errant strands away from my forehead and tucks a lock behind my right ear. “You said you wouldn’t wait for me,” she rasps.  Her voice sounds strange, shattering the relative silence of the night.

I feel a half-smile creep onto my face. I reach out and trace the pads of my
fingers along the warm, pliable flesh of Erin’s lips.  Her tongue flicks out and the tip of her wet tongue makes contact with my fingertips. “I guess some things are worth the wait after all,” I admit quietly. My eyes are drawn to her mouth and tongue.

“Is that you talking
or just your post-orgasm glow?” she asks in a soft tone.  She grabs my still-searching hand and presses her thick lips against my knuckles. Even such a seemingly innocuous touch like this makes my stomach tighten and the ache between my thighs reawaken.

“N-no,” I stammer, my
voice impossibly low. “This is all me.”

Her free hand slips beneath the sheets and her fingers tickle
up the naked flesh of my thighs.  She strokes the pads of her fingers along the skin, causing me to twitch and quiver beneath her soft touch.

“If
you want to have a serious conversation now,” I warn, nearly choking on the words, “you might not want to do that.”

Her
fingers dangerously travel further up my inner thighs. “And why not?” she growls quietly in my ear, continuing to inch further up the inside of my leg.

My clit begi
ns to ache for her talented touch, and I shift slightly in bed, bending my leg at the knee. My wanton hips fall open and I slightly lift my pelvic bone toward the ceiling.  As her hand creeps closer to my naked, dripping sex, my breath becomes labored.  “Because,” I pant, my hips rolling of their own fruition, “I can’t really form complete sentences with your hand down there.”

Undeterred by
my minor protests, she brushes her fingertips against my bare, swollen pussy lips. “No offense, cutie, but you don’t really have complete mastery of the English language even when I’m not fingering your clit.”

I gasp
loudly when she presses against my sensitive nub. “Oh God.”

She buries
her face in my neck and rubs my clit a little harder. “I love it when you sing my praises, baby,” she purrs.

“Were you in New York this entire time?”

At my untimely question, she sighs and pulls
her hand away.  “You certainly know how to ruin the moment.”

I don’t know where this willpower is coming from, but I desperately need to know where she’s been the past month.

“Yeah,” she begrudgingly confirms when it’s obvious I’m not going to budge, “mostly in the shitty neighborhood where I grew up.”

I trail my
fingertips along her defined collarbone, not oblivious to the fact that I’ve just interrupted Round Two.  “And what,” I ask, pausing to press my lips along her breastplate, “where you doing there?”

She closes
her eyes and allows my gentle attention.  She strokes her  fingers along the back of my neck, always a sensitive spot, her fingertips playing lazily with the baby-soft hair. “Had to face a couple demons,” she grunts.

I stop to look up at her.
“Metaphorical demons, I hope. I’m not ready for the zombie apocalypse.”

She rewards me
with a lopsided smile. “When did you learn such a big word?”

“Stop it,” I chastise
, lightly swatting her arm. “I read.”

“Don’t think
US Weekly
counts as reading,” she quips.

“Fine,” I huff
. “If you’re gonna be mean, I’ll just ignore you so you think I don’t actually care what you were doing when you left me.”

“I didn’t
leave
you,” Erin interjects with a serious frown. “I told you I had some things to deal with.”

“Well, you left me behind and didn’t call me once,”
I childishly point out.

“And I
told
you it was gonna be like that,” she growls, her voice revealing her increasing annoyance with me. “Damn it,” she complains, sitting up abruptly in bed.  The bed sheets shift, pooling around her slender waist. “I didn’t come back to get nagged.”

I momentarily angry at her words until my gaze comes to rest on her very naked, very mouth-watering breasts. Her body has the tendency to make me forget what I was angry about.  I reach out and stroke my fingertips along her twitching biceps, sweeping over her breastplate, and over the soft swell of her fleshy breasts. “Don’t get mad,” I murmur.  I coax her to return to reclining on the pillows.

She returns to her previous position, but her body is rigid, telling me she’s far from happy with me.  Her lips are pressed together in a straight line.
“I had some serious bullshit to wade through,” she mumbles, “and I didn’t want to drag you down with me in case I couldn’t come back.”

Now it
’s my turn to sit up in bed. “You were thinking of not coming back?!” I exclaim.  The tears at the corners of my eyes are a surprise.

She frowns
while glaring at the ceiling. “It would have been too hard,” she tries to explain. “I just…” she pauses, searching for the right words. “I was tired of being so fucking damaged; I needed to get closure on some shit from my past.” She shakes her head sadly. “And…and I wanted for me to be good enough to deserve you.”

“You don’t think
I’m
damaged, too?” I ask incredulously, twisting at the waist to stare down at my beautiful girl. “Growing up was a nightmare.  My parents only stopped fighting when mom got sick,” I note, ticking down an invisible list.  “My dad abandoned my sister and me after mom died.  I only moved here to get away from everything that reminded me of them.  I’m raising a teenaged sister and I have
no
clue what I’m doing.  Plus on top of that,” I say, my voice raising an octave, “I think I might be gay.”

She’s quiet, giving me a peculiar
smile. “Guess we’ve both got some things to work through.”

After my outburst, my body relaxes and I return to my
reclined position next to her.  “Yeah,” I murmur. “I guess we do.” I blink a few times and weigh my next words carefully. “We don’t know about each other’s baggage.  It’s-it’s almost like we’re strangers,” I reluctantly admit.

She sighs beside me
. “Yeah,” she whispers.

I
stick my hand out.  It feels awkward. “Hi. I’m Ruth,” I deadpan. “Nice to meet you.”

She stares
at my outstretched hand like I’m an alien and raises an eyebrow. “Are you for real?”

“Your turn
,” I grin.

Her eyebrows are crunched together, forming a deep grove, but she takes my hand in her own and gives it a firm shake
.  “I’m Elizabeth,” she husks, “Nice to meet you, too.”

“Elizabeth?”

Her eyebrows creep back up. “You didn’t know that was my real name?  I go by my middle name, but the name on my birth certificate is Elizabeth.”

“You never told me
that,” I protest.

“You never asked,”
she quickly retorts.

“Yeah…well…” I hesitate
, “that’s cause…we just met, remember?”

She smirks knowingly
. “Do you normally lie in bed naked with people you’ve just met?”

I feel the blush creep onto my cheeks
.  “Okay, so maybe starting over wasn’t the best idea I’ve ever had.”

She rewards my silliness by nuzzling her nose against my collarbone.
“Not here cause of your brains,” she mumbles against me.

The tip of her nose feels cold, but I don’t mind.
I feel those vibrations travel the length of my body, straight down to my core.  I breathe in sharply from the sensation. “Then why
are
you here?” I ask.  I’m pleasantly pleased with myself that my voice doesn’t crack.

She props
herself up on an elbow. “I thought it was obvious by now,” she smirks.  “I’m in love with you.”

“Y-you what?”

She raises a manicured eyebrow. “Did I stutter?”

“But…you…I mean…how…”
I sputter.

“Listen, I’ve been running
from people all my life,” she cuts me off.  “A deadbeat mom, social workers, the cops,” she chuckles darkly, and I have no idea what could be funny about any of that.  “And when I was back in New York confronting all the ghosts from my past…” She pauses to give me a warning look. “
Metaphorical
ghosts,” she clarifies, “anyway,” she continues, shaking her head, “I realized I was sick of running all the time.  Or at least tired of running
away
. I just kind of wanted to run
to
something, and uh, I realized that something was you.” She takes a deep breath and looks sideways at me.

I chew
on my bottom lip, allowing her anxious ramble to sink in. Erin is in love with me?  When did that happen?

“Did I just freak you out?”
she worries aloud, when I continue to sit, dumb with silence.

Finally, before
she has the opportunity to take back her revealing words, I smile and shift until our bodies are once again molded together. I need more time. But I’ll get there. I know I will.  “No.  Not freaked out at all,” I admit.  I playfully nibble along the edge of her ear.  “I was just hoping we could talk about this a little later.”
