My patience wears thin as what seems an
eternity passes. When I’ve had enough waiting I shift beneath
Blake, rolling him on his side as I maneuver my body to switch
places with him. He stares up at me in wonder as I take control,
lifting and lowering my hips, burying him deep inside me. I move
slowly at first, then gradually I speed up, assuming a uniform
rhythm – up and down, in and out.

His hands skim across the hot skin of my
face, neck, shoulders, breasts and stomach. He lifts his head and
directs his gaze downward, licking his lips as he watches. After a
moment he slowly leans his head back against the pillow, his eyes
closed, and I can tell he’s on the brink. I slow my movements and
begin to circle my hips, feeling him pulse inside me. His eyes snap
back up to mine. “
Jesus,
” he whispers. He strokes his thumbs
against the tops of my thighs where they blend into my hips as I
change directions, circling the other way. “That feels so…it’s
so…
fuck
that feels good.” His words are halting, almost
incoherent.

Suddenly he bucks beneath me, and an electric
jolt rifles through my body as he flips me around again. This time
he lays us both on our sides and hitches my left leg over his right
hip. His eyes bore into mine as he takes his turn sliding smoothly
through my wet heat. “Rhiannon,” he whispers, reaching up to tuck a
lock of hair behind my ear. “I’m about to come.” His low voice is
filled with a sense of urgency that matches the panicked excitement
in his eyes.

I can feel my muscles clenching down as I
teeter closer to the edge, and I fist my hand in the sheet while
turning my face into the mattress to muffle my cry. Blake leans
closer as he continues to rock and brushes his lips over my ear.
“Look at me, baby,” he says softly. “I want to see you.”

I turn my head just as my orgasm shakes me,
my insides exploding in the most delicious combination of fire and
ice. I keep my eyes trained on Blake as I cry out, and a split
second later he quakes in ecstasy as he arrives at his own end. I
can feel him throbbing inside me, unloading his release while he
expels an erratic breath.

We continue to lie there until our breathing
evens out, still joined together. Blake cups his hand around my
neck and smoothes the pad of his thumb over my cheek and jaw, never
breaking eye contact. He takes up my right hand, still balled into
a loose fist, and my fingers relax as he lifts it to his lips and
kisses it.

“If I’m dreaming, please don’t wake me,” he
says in a husky whisper. Then, smiling – “I could live like this
forever.”

Blake – Tuesday, 6:45 AM

I
wake up curled
around Rhiannon with her bare back pressed up against my chest as
she breathes slowly in and out, her rib cage expanding and
contracting beneath my hands. I’ve never known a bliss close to
what I feel right now – even if my arm is asleep under her head. I
know I should get up, but I allow myself a few minutes to simply
lie here and cherish the moment.

Just before seven I manage to slip out of bed
while Rhiannon continues to doze. I help myself to a quick shower,
wrap a towel around my waist, then head back to the bedroom to put
on some clothes before making coffee. I’m surprised when I find
Rhiannon awake, sitting up in bed with the comforter tucked around
her, concealing her beautiful body. She almost seems to be glowing,
radiating a sort of warm morning light from her flushed cheeks and
drowsy smile. She plows a hand through her curls, which are
sticking up haphazardly. “Good morning,” she says, her voice
gravelly from lack of use.

“Good morning,” I reply. I tilt my head to
the side, admiring her as she draws her knees up beneath the covers
and wraps her arms around them. “You’re so pretty – you know
that?”

She smiles. “You are, too.”

Forgetting about my clothes, I walk to the
side of the bed and bend over her, flattening my hands against the
mattress on either side of her as I kiss her languorously on the
mouth. I pull back slightly to see she’s still clutching the
comforter at her chest, careful to keep herself covered, and it
causes me to glance back up at her with a raised eyebrow and a sly
smile.

“I’ve seen you naked, you know,” I remind
her.

She laughs softly as she shakes her head. “I
know.”

“Then what are you covering up that gorgeous
body for?” I ask. I circle my fingers around her wrists and pull
her arms up around my neck. The sheet and comforter fall from her
chest as she complies, leaving her uncovered from the waist up. As
soon as her hands are fastened behind my neck, I drop my hands and
stroke over her hot, naked skin and bare breasts while I deepen our
kiss. I lean over her, planting one knee on the mattress. I can
feel the towel unraveling from my waist; I reach down with one hand
to pull it the rest of the way off.

Rhiannon unclasps her hands and smoothes them
down over my chest before grasping my waist and pressing her
fingers into the muscles beneath my skin. From there she traces
inward with her fingernails, and I can feel my hard-on growing more
rigid as she covers it with her hand.

As amazing as it feels, I want this morning
to be about her. I open my eyes for a fraction of a second to
glance at the clock on the nightstand. Mentally I calculate how
late I can be and what excuse I’ll use – because there’s no way in
hell I’m getting to work on time.

I push backward on Rhiannon’s shoulders until
she’s forced to break our kiss and fall back against the pillows.
For a moment she looks confused, but as I strip the rest of the
covers away from her slender body and shift downward, she smiles
perceptively. She props herself up on her elbows as I spread her
legs and burrow in between them. I use my fingers to push apart her
folds, then lower my head to swirl my tongue around her clit. She
cries out appreciatively as her muscles clench tighter, and I press
gently against her thighs to reopen them.

For the next several minutes I lick and suck,
savoring her quiet moans and the juices that pour from her sweet as
syrup. When she comes, she rocks forward and her back arches up off
the mattress. I can feel her muscles tighten again, and she kicks
her leg up, setting the heel of her foot against my shoulder. I
wrap my hand around her left knee and pull on it soothingly,
coaxing her to relax and ride out her release. Slowly I come up
licking my lips, unable to contain the grin that overtakes my face
as I take in her disheveled form crumpled in the sheets, gasping
for breath. One arm is slung across her face, shielding her eyes as
she pants; I tug it away from her face so I can see her better.
When she glances up at me, a huge smile lights up her face, and she
reaches for me, pulling me to her.

“Shit, Blake,” she says, clearly still out of
breath. “That’s quite a talent you have.”

I chuckle, feeling my ego swell with pride.
“Why thank you.”

She takes in a deep breath, and the smile
fades slowly from her face as she blows it back out. “No one’s ever
done that for me before,” she muses softly, almost as if she’s
talking to herself.

I’m taken aback. “Are you serious?” I ask
her, leaning away to take in her entire blushing, beautiful
face.

She nods. “Yeah. That was a first for
me.”

Holy shit
. I cave against her and
feather small, frantic kisses up her neck and across her mouth. She
giggles as she struggles to keep up. “Let’s see what other firsts I
can give you,” I say.

Doesn’t look like I’ll be going in to work
for a while yet.

Chapter 24 – Date
Night
Wednesday & Thursday, October 24-25

Rhiannon – Wednesday, 1:45 PM

W
alk-in clinic at
the student health center lasts from two to five-thirty on
Wednesday afternoons, which means I’m cutting it close trying to
make it in and out before Leadership Seminar at three. I show up a
few minutes before two and sign in, hoping to be one of the first
in line. I settle into one of the chairs in the lounge area to flip
through a magazine while I wait my turn.

I’m embarrassed when the silence in the room
is shattered by the piercing sound of my ringtone. Hurriedly I dig
my phone out of my book bag. Seeing it’s Ruthie, I tap Accept to
quiet the damn thing before holding it up to my ear.

“Hello?” I say, crouching lower in my seat to
avoid the irritated glances being thrown my way by the handful of
other students in the room.

“Why are you whispering?” Ruthie demands. Her
voice is so loud, I’m certain everyone within a ten yard radius can
hear every word she’s saying.

“I’m at the health center,” I reply,
maintaining my hushed tone in hopes she’ll take the hint and lower
her voice in kind.

“Ohhh, I see,” she says knowingly, though I
didn’t tell anyone I was coming here, let alone my reasons for
doing so. “Well listen, R, I won’t be but a second. I have an
appointment at Bella after Leadership this afternoon, and I need
you to come with me.”

“What? Why?” I ask, confused. Bella Salon and
Spa is the local Aveda outfit; it’s an opulent full-service salon
with vaulted ceilings and chandeliers hanging over gleaming
hardwood floors.

“Just trust me. Four-thirty, okay? We’ll take
my car as soon as class lets out.”

I’m shocked when I realize she’s already hung
up before I can protest. Blake had asked if I could meet him at
four-thirty to hang out before his evening class starts, but I
guess he’ll have to wait. I tap out a text message letting him know
something else has come up and I’m sorry I won’t be able to meet
him; I’ve just hit Send when a nurse steps into the waiting area
and calls my name.

2:45 PM

F
orty-five minutes
later I’m stepping back into my clothes after my very first
examination of my lady bits. The doctor, a nice middle-aged lady
with a Romanian accent, asked if I’d like to get tested for STIs as
well, and I agreed. Might as well get a clean bill of health while
I’m at it.

I’m in such a hurry to check out and get to
class I almost forget to pick up my prescription for birth control
pills; thankfully there isn’t much of a wait at the pharmacy. I
scurry out with only seconds to spare, tossing the slim plastic
case that holds the foil pack of pills in the front pocket of my
backpack as I run from the building.

Ruthie raises a curious eyebrow at me as I
skate into class at four minutes after three. The professor has
already started talking, but thankfully he takes no notice of my
tardiness. I feel like I’ve only just caught my breath when class
releases fifty minutes later and Ruthie pulls me out the door and
over to her blue car.

“Tell me again why I needed to come with
you,” I say as toss my bag in the back seat and fasten my
seatbelt.

“Don’t worry about it,” says Ruthie, cryptic
as always. “You’ll thank me, you’ll see. Just take these.” She
scrounges in her pocket and pulls out three red pills on the palm
of her hand.

“What are they?” I ask cautiously.

“They’re meth,” she deadpans. She dissolves
into a fit of laughter when she sees my eyes widen. “Christ,
Rhiannon, I’m only kidding. They’re
ibuprofen
. Here.” She
hands me a bottle of water with the cap unscrewed, and because I
can’t think of a good reason to argue I take the pills and swallow
them. I
do
sort of have a headache.

It isn’t until Ruthie’s checked in and
settled beside me on one of the sofas in the salon’s waiting area
that she leans over and whispers, “I made you an appointment, too.”
She winks at me as she leans back over and picks dispassionately at
her fingernails.

“I don’t want a haircut, Ruthie,” I tell
her.

“Oh, we’re not getting haircuts,” she
drawls.

“What are we doing here then?” I ask. I’m
beginning to think she’s just purposely wasting my time.

“We’re getting bikini waxes,” she says
simply, still not looking up from her fingernails.

My jaw drops. “Are you kidding me?”

She glances up, humor in her eyes. “Well,
actually
if you wanna get technical, we’re getting
Brazilians
.”

My eyes bug out even further. “Please tell me
you’re joking right now.”

“Afraid not, babe,” she says. A grin pulls at
the corner of her mouth, and again she winks at me. “Like I said,
you’ll thank me later.”

Thursday, 6:30 PM

T
onight I have a
date with Blake. I don’t know yet where we’re going, only that
Blake told me to dress up. I’ve unknowingly recruited Ruthie and
Corinne as my stylist and moral support, respectively – they’re
currently seated in my living room, pre-gaming for a date they
aren’t even going on while I change into my selected apparel for
this evening. Apparently I’m not allowed out the front door until
they’ve officially approved my appearance.

I change out of my clothes in the bathroom. I
take a moment to rub aloe on my newly bare skin, relishing the
soothing coolness of the balm, before slipping into my chosen
outfit. I wobble out of the bathroom – twenty-four hours later, and
I’m just now regaining my ability to walk semi-normally.

“Jesus Christ,” Ruthie chokes as I emerge. A
fine golden mist settles as she sprays a mouthful of Franzia on
Corinne in the process.  Corinne, in turn, shrieks and leaps
off the couch.

Jesus Christ, Ruth!”
she says,
sputtering and waving her hands like a drunken air traffic
controller.  “What the
hell
?!”

“I
know
Cori, right?!

She
absolutely
cannot
wear that,” she says, using the back of
her hand to unceremoniously wipe the wine from her mouth.  I
frown and turn to examine myself in the entryway mirror.
Meanwhile, Corinne grabs a tissue and glares at Ruthie.
