My intention was to go to the powder room to check on my hair and make-up, basically regroup and think positively, but when one of those cream-tailored waiters passed me by, asking if I wanted one, I simply couldn’t help myself. I loved champagne.

Sighing with relief after my first sip, I strolled towards the terrace that gazed towards the lavish, English-styled gardens.

Nostalgic, I enjoyed small sips as I roamed about, descending the stone stairway that led towards the lush greenery, remembering that first encounter I’d had with Drake in the garden on our first night working together.

The trees had blue LED lights wrapped around them, lending a cozy, intimate feel towards this nice, balmy night. Speakers strategically placed behind the bushes were playing soft, classic music, contrasting the large, circular water fountain with its cascading water as the background. Serenity was what I thought as I closed my eyes, smiling at the sense of calmness it gave me.

Most people were still indoors, waiting for dinner, but I wanted to stay here awhile and enjoy this small gem I had found.

Life was great, and I just wanted to take a moment and breathe it all in. I was starting to hum along with Debussy when I heard his voice.

“Happiness suits you, my lovely wife.”

Smiling, I let his raspy, deep voice travel through my bones before I finally gazed at him. He was studying me with amusement.

“I’m grateful for life’s blessings, that’s all.” I strode towards him, downing my drink as I went along. Once finished, I threw it on the grass, making him raise his brow as I approached him.

“Dance with me, Drake. I want your arms around me.”

He didn’t wait a beat until I was enfolded by his large frame. My forehead nestled against his neck as we slowly danced to the beat. He hummed along with the song against my ear.

“I want to fuck you so badly—I want to punish you for being incredibly naughty, but tonight, I want to savor you like a sweet delicacy.” His voice went straight into my gut, sending butterflies into the pit of my stomach. “I just want to love you right, baby.”

He was holding out. Could it have been really possible? The Drake I knew was an animal through and through.

“You mean… you
don’t
want to push me up against a tree and take me against it?” I teased.

He growled against my ear, arms tightening around me, pressing my belly against his hardness. “I want to fuck you so hard that you get marks on your back from the roughness of it, but as much as I want to unleash that…” I pulled back a little. Gazing directly into my eyes was an animalistic hunger, and yet, love also shown from those depths. “I want to see you. The beauty of what your body can give me. I want to slowly undress you, bask in your naked beauty and show you how much you mean to me.”

The intensity of his eyes held me hostage. My throat ran dry as my feelings for this man started to overwhelm me. Only one man—only him—could have such power over me. “Thank you…”
for accepting me, for loving me
, “for seeing the real me.”

“Till death do us part, Lil.”

I looked at the stars above, sighing. “If you try to take him away from me again, I’m going to be pissed,” I spoke to the universe as a shiver ran all over my body. To that day, his accident brought my fears to the surface.

I felt him kiss my forehead, sealing a silent promise to me—that he wouldn’t ever leave me again.

For the remainder of the night, we stole secret glances as we mingled with the rest of the party. I didn’t let out a sigh of relief until we were driving home as I massaged my temples, feeling a migraine ready to split my brain apart. Not to mention my legs were beyond sore and exhausted.

“Tired?”

Beyond belief. “A little,” I admitted, feeling like I was letting him down. I knew he’d had big plans for us tonight, but seriously, I didn’t think I’d survive a sexfest… not on that night anyway.

“Poor baby,” he murmured, glancing towards me.

I gave him a small smile before I closed my eyes, ready to sleep the night away. The soft music and the steady hum of the engine lulled me to slumber. I didn’t wake until I felt Drake scoop me out of the car and carry me inside the house.

“I can walk,” I whispered groggily.

“I got you, babe.”

Inside the bedroom, he slowly undressed me. He only left my underwear on before he placed me on the bed. Half asleep, I watched him take his dinner jacket off before he pushed against his sleeves and sat on the edge of the mattress. I let out a satisfying moan when his large hands placed my feet on his thighs and started to gently massage them, one by one.

“You’re a Godsend.”

He softly chuckled. “Relax and try to sleep again. I know you’re tired.”

I peeked at him. “You sure?” I asked, feeling guilty. I was such a bad wife, but damn, I was exhausted.

“You always come first. Don’t worry about me.” He kissed my big toe.

“I love you, D.”

He playfully bit my toe, kissing it again. “Don’t you ever forget it; that’s all I ask.”

As if that would ever happen.
Not in a million years, buddy
, I thought, smiling as I drowned in blissful dreams.

Just Like Old Times

“So how was date night? Was it a success?” Masie winked at me as she frosted cupcakes with cream cheese frosting.

I was experimenting with flavored macaroons, whipping the egg whites as I responded to her. “I fell asleep.”

“No shit.”

I paused, looking over at her. “Yes shit.”

That morning, I had woken up with Drake already gone for work, so a morning quickie hadn’t even been available. The previous night, he had been so understanding, I felt like I needed to make it up to him.

“I’m a bad wife, aren’t I?”

She evilly grinned at me. “You need to step up your game or that hot, hunky husband of yours might get tempted with those short skirted, little office workers prancing around him all day long.”

I stilled, feeling her comment hitting close to home. Katie… was she going to be trouble? It’s not like Drake was in to younger women anyway… I mean, was he? I doubted it.

“Thanks for making me insecure, friend!” I pulled out my phone, texting.

Me:
Pick me up at 7? And, please, bring your bike.

I sighed as I placed the phone next to me, feeling anxious. We hadn’t been married for a year, yet God, sometimes my insecurity got the best of me.

“I was kidding.”

No, she wasn’t. “Sure.”

She blew me kisses before getting back to her beautiful handiwork. “Love you.”

I shook my head, knowing she had a point. Marriage was work. Marriage was compromise. And as much as I wanted to focus on work, I also needed to balance my life with Drake.

When my phone chimed with his name on it, my heart skipped a beat.

Drake:
See you then. Ordering lunch to be delivered later. Eat it, please. Love you.

Me:
You rock.

Drake:
I am… rock hard.

His reply made me smirk. That man seriously had a dirty mind.

Me:
Keep it that way.

Drake:
Always, babe. Gotta get back to work. See you at 7.

“Casting your love spell?” Masie sheepishly grinned at me.

“You bet your ass I am!”

I had taken her comments seriously and she knew it, too. The day she became a married woman, I would gladly repay her with the same treatment.

After our banter, we resumed working for the rest of the morning. We didn’t take a break until Drake’s special lunch delivery came and we had to halt working to enjoy the delicious thoughtfulness of my husband.

After lunch, the rest of the day went by quickly.

At six p.m., Masie clocked out, and I stayed an hour later to finish a new recipe I was trying out. I didn’t realize what time it was until I heard someone clear their throat to get my attention. When I looked up, Drake was leaning against the kitchen door with his arms crossed over his chest as he watched me intensely. He was dressed in ripped jeans paired with his washed-out leather jacket.

“Oh, my God! I lost track of time!”

“I like watching you work,” he said without moving from his spot.

He looked like a model, and with eyes like his, he could put any woman under his spell.

“Let me clean up and we’re good to go,” I said distractedly as I focused on setting aside the newly baked macaroon shells, not wanting to pay attention to my body that was strung high just from watching him. Could I really be this horny? I was past twenty-five, for crying out loud. I needed to get a grip. I wasn’t some hormonal teenager that would jump on her man the second he showed up looking like a scrumptious treat.

“Breathe, Lil.”

I looked up with questioning eyes. The second our gazes met, I knew what he was thinking. He could easily see through me; that I was flustered with sexual tension. Oh, yeah.

Biting on my lower lip, I blushed hard as I tried to focus on cleaning up. “Why don’t you go wait outside? I’ll be out in five.” I didn’t even look at him because I didn’t want to embarrass myself any further.

When I heard him stride over towards me, I almost lost my breath from excitement. I let out a small groan when he came up behind me, almost touching me.

“What’s getting you all worked up, babe?”

“You.” And he knew damn well it was him.

His hands came up to the sides of my hips, massaging them gently—up and down—while I anticipated the thrill of what he intended to do next.

“Yeah?” He licked the side of my neck. “What do I do to you?”

“You…” I licked my lips, “you make me feel…
everything
.”

He grunted into my ear before he bit my neck, no holds barred. His teeth pierced into my skin, making me scream in pleasure while I felt a gush of liquid in my nether region.

“Drake!”
I shrieked, gasping for air.

“That’s right. Scream. My. Name,” he said the moment he pulled my leggings and underwear down in a flash before he lowered his own pants. The sound of his zipper sent a thrill all over me.

My hands were gripping the sides of the working table when he slightly bent me over, entering me from behind. He didn’t even have to double check if I was wet enough for him; he just knew when to strike at the right time. I almost passed out from his forceful entry. He surged inside me like a force of nature, not caring about anything else but his own purpose. His own satisfaction.

“Missed my cock, my beautiful wife?” he hissed into my ear as he started to pound me into the table.

“Yes,” was all I could say. All I could think of was the throbbing ache inside me, needing to be unleashed. He was all I could feel. He was all I could see. My body surrendered to him, giving him everything it could offer.

His gripped tightened as he paced himself faster. “Fuck… you’re so tight, babe.”

His left hand reached out on the side, dipping his forefinger in a bowl of chocolate frosting before placing it on my lips. “Suck it while I own your sweet body,” he groaned into my ear.

My tongue, like the rest of my obediently submissive body, immediately snaked out to suck on his finger, stroking it as if it was his manhood, moaning as I tasted the sweetness of the frosting. There was nothing more erotic than doing two sexual acts that would get your man all fired up to the point where he was borderline ballistic for wanting you. I loved this about Drake; his lovemaking was out of the world.

“I’m coming,” he said through gritted teeth just before I felt him expand inside me, yelling my name like a curse as he came inside me. “Tighten around me.” I did as he asked, exploding in my own sweet surrender to oblivion. “Milk it, babe.” With my muscles tightened around his shaft, I slowly moved my hips up and down, doing as he asked until there was nothing left.

He didn’t immediately pull out. He kept on slowly stroking himself inside of me at a short pace as he left a trail of kisses on my spine.

“You’re amazing.”

No, he made me amazing. He somehow let out a sexual woman in me.

When my eyes dropped to the wasted chocolate filling, I sighed. “Damn. I have to make that again.” Still, it had been worth it and then some. I would never look at chocolate frosting without getting reminded of that nice, sexual stint with Drake in the kitchen.

“Bring that with you… we still have all night.”

“All night, huh?” I teased, pulling away from him before twirling around to face him. I planted a long, lingering kiss on his lips. “Is that a promise?”

His eyes sparked to life, giving me a glimpse of his wickedness. “Fuck, yeah. But first, we have to get some food in you. Then maybe a little romance before I devour you like a nice, chocolate dessert.”

I kissed him for the last time before I shooed him out so I could properly clean up the mess we had just made.

“On it, babe!”

Mirror Mirror

“Why don’t you go to lunch first? I’m not that hungry yet.” Masie gave me a side glance before concentrating on going over an order sheet.

I guess my tummy had grumbled way too loudly so she felt bad for me that’s why she offered that I go eat first.

On top of that, she’d been stressed out about getting new business all morning, which meant that we had been going over every possible avenue for getting clients and there hadn’t been a moment to even grab a snack.

Smiling at my friend, I raised my brow, hoping she’d meant it. “You sure? I can last for a few hours more.”

Masie rolled her eyes at me. “Uh-uh. Why don’t you go over to Drake’s office and take him out for lunch?” she suggested.

“He might be busy.” Drake always was lately. Would he appreciate a surprise lunch visit from me? I wasn’t sure.

“It’s not like he can’t take an hour break to be with his wife,” she said, sounding like she couldn’t believe I was insecure about the prospect of at least trying.
