Lucy knew exactly how Ginger felt. Prentice Teague was pretty unforgettable to her, too.

Chapter 21

Lucy heard the heavy breathing and groans as soon as she entered the house and smiled at the thought of her two men engaging in their silly pirate, swashbuckling games.

They sure enjoyed that fencing!

However, as she neared the parlor where they usually engaged in their sport, the noises became much more distinct, more familiar, not sounding like two men fencing at all but more like two men…fornicating.

No, that was impossible.

Lucy told herself she was being silly, paranoid. She reminded herself that Ki was not Rance. Ki and Prentice both had too healthy an appetite for her pussy to ever engage in anything with each other. Still, she braced herself before entering the parlor.

The closer she got, the less she could mistake the deep, husky voices, the sounds of amorous pursuits between two men.

Lucy turned the corner of the vestibule and stopped on the threshold of the parlor at the sight that greeted her.

They weren’t fornicating, at least not yet, but they were coming pretty darn close.

Ki had Prentice pressed up against the wall, grinding his hips against the younger man as he pinned Prentice’s arms above his head. Prentice, for his part, didn’t seem to be fighting Ki, or hurting any, but rather he was enjoying what Ki was doing to him, fervently returning his kisses as he drove his own hips forward to meet Ki’s thrusts.

She put her hand to her mouth but a sound must have escaped her throat for the two men suddenly stopped what they were doing, snapping to attention as they simultaneously turned to see her standing in the doorway.

Lucy shook her head, backing away. “I’m sorry. I’m sorry…” She turned and took off running back through the house as quickly as she could. She didn’t wait to hear if anyone followed her or not, didn’t care, just slammed the door and ran down the path.

It was like Rance all over again, Rance with his penchant for little boys, doing sick things to them before he…killed them.

Prentice, however, wasn’t a little boy, far from it, and what’s more, he seemed like he was getting pleasure from Ki’s touches, taking as much pleasure in Ki’s kisses as she did. Was that sick really? Ki and Prentice were consenting adults and hadn’t been hurting anyone.

Except me.

The hot knife of betrayal but more telling, its twin jealousy, sliced through her chest mercilessly and suddenly.

Vaguely, she heard the door open behind her and two sets of footsteps picking up speed in her wake so fast that by the time she reached the gazebo, both of them were already upon her.

Ki caught her around the biceps and Lucy turned on him, swinging out with her free hand and connecting with his jaw. She felt his cheek give way beneath her knuckles, heard him grunt, but he didn’t let go of her. On the contrary, he held on tighter, steering her toward the gazebo, up the stairs, and inside the enclosure.

Prentice joined them inside as Ki pointed at the bench for her to sit down.

“I don’t want to sit down. I want to go.”

“Please let me explain,” Ki said.

“What’s there to explain? It’s obvious you like…” She couldn’t come up with the right word for a moment so used one of Prentice’s famous terms. “You like screwing men.”

“It’s not as simple as that.”

“What is
wrong
with me?” Lucy blurted, throwing her arms up in the air before she covered her face with her hands and finally did collapse onto the gazebo bench.

She felt Ki and Prentice sit down on either side of her.

Ki gently took her wrists in his hands and pulled her hands away from her face.

Lucy dragged her eyes open to stare at the contrite, earnest look in Ki’s blue eyes.

“There’s nothing wrong with you, Lucy. You are a beautiful and desirable woman. Any man would be honored to have you as his wife.”

“Then why? Am I not woman enough for you? Why can’t I have a normal relationship, a normal husband?”

“It’s not that you’re not woman enough for me. You fulfill one part of my sexuality, and Ethan, he fulfills another.”

Lucy frowned, trying to understand what he was saying but it just seemed like a fancy excuse for Ki to have his cake and eat it, too.

She turned to Prentice to get his opinion, but Prentice only shrugged as if he was just as confused as she was.

“Lucy, I wasn’t with Ethan because you’re not woman enough or you don’t please me. I’ve actually wanted Ethan and you, too, from the beginning. I didn’t know how to tell you.”

Lucy thought about what she thought Ki was suggesting. Was it really so farfetched?

He was only suggesting what she had been daydreaming about since Prentice had walked back into her life in Ethan’s body. Hadn’t she been betraying Ki several times over in her mind, wanting Prentice just as much as he apparently did, but just that she hadn’t had the courage to act on her desires as Ki had?

“Together?” Lucy squeaked. “The three of us? How can that be done?”

What a silly question!

Maia, Thayne, and Cade obviously made it work and so did Lily, Wyatt, and Dakota.

Lucy was still having difficulty with the mechanics. Not to mention, she was pretty sure the men in the previously mentioned trios didn’t…wouldn’t…

Ki laughed and raised her hand to his lips to kiss the back of her wrist. “Trust me. We can work out the particulars easily enough.”

“So you find me desirable and Ethan desirable?”

“You both appeal to all my senses very much.”

She wondered if this were the best time to bring up whether or not he had mentioned his knowledge of Prentice’s past and what had given rise to the little scene she had walked in on.

She looked from Prentice to Ki and back again. “You know that I told Ki about you.”

Prentice nodded. “We’ve discussed it.”

“How do you feel about all this, Prentice?”

“First of all, like I told Ki earlier. I’m not Prentice anymore. I haven’t been in a long time. Call me Ethan.”

“Okay…Ethan.” She tried the name on her tongue for size, couldn’t believe that she was considering having a ménage à trois with her husband and her childhood crush who wasn’t really her childhood crush.

Prentice…she meant Ethan took her other hand and brought it to his mouth, kissing the back of her wrist just as Ki had done. “You’re overthinking this, Lucy. Just go with what you feel.” He kissed a path from her wrist to the inside of her elbow, his lips soft and gentle and making her tremble inside and out.

Lucy closed her eyes and licked her lips before a soft moan escaped her throat. “So, if we do this…”

“Yes?” Ki and Ethan chorused.

“How
would
we do it?”

“The question isn’t how. The question is do you want this, Lucy?” Ki asked.

She wanted them both. She had for a long time, but she was afraid what wanting them meant, what wanting them said about her.

There I go again, worrying what other people think about me.

The only people’s opinion that should have mattered to her right then were hers, Ki’s, and Ethan’s.

Lucy nodded. “Yes. I want this. I want to be with you and Ethan.”

Ki released the breath he must have been holding until she had answered. He seemed like he was as nervous as her. The thought of his or Ethan’s uneasiness emboldened her, made her feel like she wasn’t all alone in her feelings, made her know that she wasn’t alone in her doubts.

“Come.” Ki took her by the hand and led her out of the gazebo.

Ethan silently followed close behind.

Lucy’s heartbeat pounded so hard in her ears, she didn’t think she could have heard Ki or Ethan if they had spoken.

Ki opened the door and let her and Ethan into the house first, closing the door behind him. “Go up to the master bedroom. I’ll be up shortly.”

Lucy nodded, feeling comfortable at Ki’s taking charge.

Ethan must have been okay with it, too, because he silently took Lucy’s hand as they walked up the stairs.

She had never thought she would see the day when Ethan would let another man give him orders or tell him what to do the way Ki had just done.

What had happened between her husband and lover before she had arrived? She thought they must have been growing closer and indulging in physical pleasures together, at least a little, long before today. They seemed to have a connection between them that she couldn’t even begin to imagine.

Lucy didn’t know how to feel about that—betrayed or aroused—then realized she felt a little bit of both and more. She was excited to see what Ki and Ethan could make her feel when they worked together. She was excited to see how she would be with two men.

Could she please them?

The thought of failure troubled her. Would she be disappointing them or herself?

When they reached the bedroom, Ethan opened the door and let her in as if he had done it a thousand times before. He had always been comfortable in his own skin though, always made himself at home wherever he was, not intimidated by anything or anyone. She had always admired that about him.

Lucy realized in that moment that Ki and Ethan were a lot alike in the most important aspects of their personalities. It made her wonder what they saw in her.

Ethan put his hands on her shoulders and bent his head to kiss her nape. “I’ve waited so long to have you like this. I’ve missed you so much.”

“I’ve missed you, too,” Lucy rasped just as Ki opened the door and joined them.

“I see you’ve started the festivities without me,” he teased. “Carry on then.”

Ethan did, catching her by the shoulders and turning her around to face him.

She stared into his blazing brandy eyes, falling under their spell. She was no longer sure to whom she was most attracted or to what she was reacting the most—Prentice’s broken, vulnerable soul or Ethan’s haunting, striking shell.

Lucy let Ethan slowly undress her while Ki busied himself in the opposite corner of the room doing God only knew what.

When Ethan got her down to her ivory camisole and bloomers, he guided her toward the bed where Lucy climbed up and lay back, returning his intent gaze.

She licked her lips, watching as he disrobed, removing first his boots and socks, trousers and shirt and finally his underwear.

Lucy’s pussy grew wetter. Her nipples tightened and her heart pounded faster with each item of clothing that hit the floor and unhurriedly revealed more of Ethan’s smooth, olive skin.

He moved to the bed to take off the rest of her clothes. He took so much time, trailing soft kisses along every patch of skin he exposed, Lucy trembled on the edge of completion by the time he covered her naked body with his.

His kisses were so thorough and torturous—evoking memories of the first man who ever brought her pleasure, evoking memories of her Prentice—that Lucy just wanted to rush to the part when he gave her more pleasure than she thought she could ever handle. She wanted to grab his ears and guide him between her thighs where she had imagined him so many times with his wheat-blond hair.

He’d said he hadn’t been that man in a long time and that he wanted her to call him Ethan. She would respect his wishes, but in her heart some part of her would always think of him as the man who had cared about her enough to protect her from Rance when no one else would.

As if reading her mind, Ethan slid two fingers inside her pussy, scissoring and turning them until she gasped at the stimulation. When Ethan added his mouth, sucking her hot, swollen bud into his mouth before flicking it with his tongue, Lucy gasped and bowed up off the bed.

“Don’t let her come yet,” Ki said as he slid, naked, into the bed beside her.

When Ethan took his mouth and hand away, Lucy almost cried. She didn’t know whether to scream at Ki, hit him, or both. She finally just settled for collapsing back against the mattress, frustrated and impatient. “Why?” Her voice was husky, unrecognizable even to her.

Ki moved her onto her side and eased behind her. He slid his hand between her legs and teased her soaked folds with his fingers before removing them. “Because I want to be inside you when you come. I want to feel your ass glove and tighten around my cock and I want to feel you break apart beneath me, beneath both of us.”

Lucy’s breath hitched in her chest at his dirty talking. She didn’t think she had ever been so aroused by just the description of what a man wanted to do to her, by the sound of his voice when he said such earthy things.

“My…ass?” she asked, growing anxious despite having known that this was how it would have to be for her if she really wanted them both at the same time. Either way, it was going to be a rough ride as both men were large, larger even than Rance had been and he had been sizable.

This, however, would be different, not just because she was going to be with two men at once, but because she was going to be with two men she cared about and who cared about her. They would treat her right, be gentle with her. She knew they would.
