“Long time no see,” Danni said. “What brings you around? Got a date?”

“Hah, no, I don’t think so,” she replied. “I mean, no. Just meeting a friend. How’ve you been?”

“Great! I’ve been great. What can I get for ya?”

“I haven’t had a beer in forever,” Lynn replied, sighing. Her eyes came to rest on a glass down the bar from her, half-filled with amber. It looked like heaven.

“Coming right up!” Danni said, smiling and twirling around another bartender to get to the draft machine. She returned with a perfectly poured drink.

“I’ll open a tab, thanks.”

Lynn took her beer and downed a chilly gulp. A sigh escaped her lips as she enjoyed the taste, focusing on the complex flavor to calm down and hesitate. Still, there was only so long she could stall… people would start to think she was weird if she just kept staring into her glass. She turned around to face the rest of the bar.

To her dismay, she immediately sighted her target across the crowded space. She was holding a pool stick, a look of victory on her face. She looked
exactly
like she had in her profile… cuter, even, in a dark and confident sort of way. She seemed to move with freedom, as if the crowd shifted out of her way in unconscious anticipation.

Lynn gulped and walked over. Her head felt fuzzy, and she hadn’t even begun to drink… she looked the girl over before she got too close. She was wearing a black tank-top and an ankle-length red plaid skirt. Her outfit looked amazing in contrast to her pale white skin and short black hair. She was most definitely from a different crowd than Lynn had run with…

“Hey,” she said lightly, approaching.

As she spoke, the girl was leaning over the pool table to line up a shot. She looked up out of the corners of her eyes and smiled, her bright red lips curling with what seemed like satisfaction. Her sidelong gaze traveled up and down, quite obviously checking Lynn out.

“Hey.”

Her attention went back to her pool cue. Her shot knocked one in, and she pumped a fist in celebration.

Looking at the table, she realized that the girl had just sunk the eight ball and won the game. A guy across the table shrugged and dropped his pool cue off before walking away. “Seriously?” Lynn blurted, a disparaging tone in her voice.

The girl stood tall.

“Seriously what?”

Lynn found herself speaking without thinking. Her nervousness had been so powerful, and so difficult to hold back, she was almost angry now. “You sink a winning shot as I walk up?” she challenged, incredulous. “Come on.”

The girl laughed, and a broad grin grew across her face. Lynn couldn’t help but feel a little surge of jealousy - the girl’s smile was extremely pretty. Her whole face seemed engaged in her every emotion.

“You got me,” she admitted graciously, picking up a beer from the edge of the pool table. “I don’t even play pool.”

“Hah!” Lynn shot back. “And what
is
your name? Don’t think I didn’t notice you didn’t tell me.”

The girl tilted her head and raised her eyebrows, expertly capturing Lynn’s gaze. “Don’t think I didn’t notice that you came without
knowing
my name.” She downed the last of her beer in three gulps, and then sighed. “If you expect a quick lay, you’re going to have to buy me a drink first.”

Lynn eyed her cautiously… and the girl laughed brightly, adding perfect rows of white teeth to the list of things Lynn felt a slight twinge of jealousy about.

“I’m kidding!” she said, cutting the moment of tension. “I’m Sydney.”

“I’m Lynn.” Breathing a sigh of relief, Lynn shook her extended hand, and then followed her to the bar.

“Hey girls,” Danni greeted them. She eyed Sydney as if she knew her, and then flashed Lynn a little curious insinuating smile.

“Long Island, please!” Sydney said cheerily. She leaned over the bar and squeezed one of Danni’s huge breasts. “Always happy to see these girls!”

Danni just laughed. “Sydney, you’re crazy.”

Lynn watched in confusion as Danni moved down the bar to make the Long Island. What was that look she’d given? And what was with Sydney just grabbing her chest? Lynn found herself wishing she could do that herself, if only because that casual attitude took the glamorous power away from Danni’s huge tits somehow. Was that why Sydney did it? She looked down at Sydney’s chest, framed by her black tank-top. Her pale breasts seemed perky and full, but bras always made it hard to tell…

“Are you looking at my tits?” Sydney suddenly accused, pushing her chest up.

“Ah, no,” Lynn replied, her face growing red. She paused for a second, thinking about whether she really wanted to be passive and embarrassed around this crazily overconfident girl. “Actually… yes. They’re very nice.”

Sydney smiled, obviously aware of Lynn’s mental transition.

“Yours are, too,” she replied. “Can I touch them?”

Her casual attitude made it impossible to refuse without looking prudish. Lynn shrugged and fought a rush of red heat creeping up her face as Sydney’s hands ran up her body.

“Wow, they’re really nice,” Sydney commented as her hands curved around Lynn’s chest and cupped her breasts. “I’m a bit jealous.”

Lynn burned a little brighter red. “Really? I-”

“Here you go,” Danni interrupted, returning with a Long Island. Upon noticing what was happening, she laughed and shot Lynn a teasing look.

“Oh, thanks,” Sydney said, her hands dropping from Lynn’s chest to take up her drink. “How about those tits?”

“Oh, I know,” Danni replied, looking Lynn over. “She’s been coming here for years, and I’ve always wanted to touch them!”

“What? Really?” Lynn asked, struggling not to stammer. She was confused as hell, burning red with embarrassment… and a little thrilled that someone as gorgeous as Danni was complimenting her so… but did she mean it, or was she teasing? Lynn realized that both Sydney and Danni were looking at her expectantly.

“Uh, well go ahead,” Lynn said. Trying to act like it was no big deal, she leaned over the bar.

Danni’s eyes lit up, and she squeezed Lynn’s breast with both hands for what felt like a very long moment… and then she pinched one, backed off, and laughed with embarrassment. “Sydney is such a bad influence!”

“You bet,” she responded, grinning.

Lynn stood flat again and took a gulp of her beer, too off-balance to say anything.

“Well,” Danni said with a wink, before moving on to another customer. “You two have fun!”

Lynn just nodded in a daze, and followed Sydney’s tug on her arm. The girl led her through the crowd to a back corner, where a large box stood. It had a glass top, over what appeared to be a video game screen.

“Holy shit, it’s Pac-man!” Lynn exclaimed. “With four controls? What is this?”

Sydney gave her a funny look, and then took up the controls next to her. “It’s four players, dude,” she explained, her tone teasing. “Just how old
are
you?”

“Watch yourself!” Lynn shot back. “Twenty-eight - er, twenty-six - is
not
old. You’re just really young. Are you often in the habit of inviting older women out to play Pac-man at bars?”

“Stuff it, grandma!” Sydney teased. She slid dollars into the machine and then started a game. “Let’s see if you’ve still got it.”

As they played, Lynn started letting herself actually have fun. The game was ridiculous, but engaging, and other people stepped in to play with them at random. She made sure to get their names and talk to them, even if they were closer to Sydney’s age than her own. It felt good to be out making friends again, and, more than that, it felt good to
be
a fun person. She was still wary of Sydney’s actual intent, and the situation
was
objectively strange, but it was better than sitting at home.

She never had to leave the game, either, because her new acquaintances kept buying her drinks, often at Sydney’s insistence. The girl had some weird power to engage other people… Lynn found new beers in her hand in succession, with - unbelievably - no strings attached. Sydney deftly shut down any guys that got too forward.

Once the game grew stale, they moved around the bar from group to group, talking to the random people they’d met. It wasn’t long before Lynn realized she was having a great time, and that she was buzzed to boot. It was intoxicating to be the person next to the center of attention that Sydney naturally created. Being a little older than everyone else reinforced that position, and Lynn was surprised to find people listening to her stories and generally being interested in her far more than she remembered from her days in college.

“Come on, let’s go smoke,” Sydney whispered during a lull in the conversation, before tugging on her arm and leading her outside. She approached a group of smokers. “Can anyone spare a cigarette?” A moment of flirting and a smile later, she approached another group. “Anyone got a light?”

Finally, the two of them retreated along the wall of the building.

“That was impressive,” Lynn said, incredulous. “You just do whatever you want, don’t you?”

“Yes.” Sydney took a drag from her cigarette. “You could do it, too, you know.”

“I don’t smoke,” Lynn responded, dodging the intent of the statement.

“You should, it would look good on you,” she said, handing her the cigarette. Lynn hesitated, but then took it because of the compliment. Holding it between her fingers and lips, she breathed in… she sputtered and coughed deeply. Sydney took it back and laughed. “Ok, maybe not. But my point stands, you’re like wicked hot, and you don’t even seem to know it.”

Lynn blushed, and her gaze darted down the wall toward the groups outside the front of the bar. Nobody was looking their way. The moment felt strangely private. “Is that why you messaged me?”

“That’s what I said, isn’t it?” Sydney responded, blowing a long cone of smoke before placing her cigarette gently between two of her fingers. “Here.”

Before she could understand the girl’s intent, Lynn suddenly found delicate hands on either side of her head, pulling her in. Warm lips pressed against hers; the kiss pressed close that metal lip stud she realized she’d been watching all night… had she been hoping for this subconsciously?… a tongue slid into her mouth, bringing the flavor of smoke. Blaming her buzz, she kissed back, letting herself fall into the experience. As soon as she started to get really into it, Sydney pulled pack and pretend-slapped her.

“Rude! So forward!” she exclaimed, laughing. “I should expect nothing less from an older woman.”

Tingling all over, Lynn just stared at her in shock for a moment. Her heart raced with that same nervous energy she’d fought back at her apartment, but then forgotten all about once she’d gotten wrapped up in the younger girl’s energy and antics. “What… are… we doing here, exactly?” she forced out.

“You haven’t had fun?” Sydney asked between drags, eyeing her with a mysterious little smile.

“No, I mean, yes, I have. It’s been great fun, actually,” she stammered.

“Then what’s the problem? We can both do whatever we want.”

Lynn took a deep breath. She’d gone with vague ideas and unspoken social maneuvering back in college, avoiding awkwardness at all costs, just like everyone else… but she was older now, and tired of it. Was that why her old friends seemed to be growing distant? She’d grown up, and they hadn’t? Was that why she seemed to command some sort of strange respect from her new younger acquaintances? She decided to go with it.

“We were both listed as straight,” she said, cutting to the heart of the matter. “But you’ve been flirty and engaging and awesome, and touching me a lot, don’t think I didn’t notice! And now kissing me…” she trailed off, satisfied with her own directness. Weirdly, instead of nervous, she felt more calm and in control.

Sydney breathed out another line of smoke, watching her with a smile. “See, that’s what I’m talking about,” she replied. “That’s hot. Everyone else around here seems like, I don’t know… afraid. You know what I mean?”

Lynn raised her eyebrows. “Actually… yes.”

Sydney kept her gaze caught for several silent moments. She took another drag and breathed it out slowly, all without looking away. Lynn matched her scrutiny, refusing to back down until an answer was had. Finally, slowly, and ever so quietly, Sydney responded.

“It’s like I said,” she said, her words a sultry whisper. “We can do
whatever we want
.”

Their gazes remained locked. Lynn breathed quietly, feeling the space of several heartbeats pass in silence. Her buzz made her thoughts more physical… they strayed toward the sensations she’d secretly imagined earlier… getting off with another person, some warm body pressed against hers… and the night
had
been great. She felt sexy herself, powerful somehow… in control…

“I want to go somewhere…” she breathed, surprising herself.

Sydney’s lips curled up into a genuine smile of attraction and insinuation. “I want to go somewhere too,” she said, dropping her cigarette and stepping on it. “Where
does
an older woman bring a younger girl to take advantage of her?”
