His climax hit hard. Alan pushed up with his hips, jetting come into Dorian’s eager mouth. The sub swallowed everything Alan gave him, his tongue lapping up the last drops from his slit before taking the head into his mouth and suckling gently on it.

Alan lay there, body shaking, little shocks jolting him while Dorian slowly licked him clean. He crawled up Alan’s body to lie next to him, stroking across his belly with a firm hand. Alan tugged him higher, until their mouths met and he could taste himself on Dorian’s lips. When they parted, he gazed at Dorian and smiled.

“Thank you for my gift.”

“You’re welcome.” Dorian’s eyes focused on his. “You didn’t mind, then?” His smile was hesitant.

Alan knew instantly what was on his mind. He grinned. “I love having a finger in my arse during a blow job just as much as you do.” His lips twitched. “Only, warn me next time, okay?”

“Okay.” Dorian smothered a yawn. “Sorry, Sir.”

Alan encircled him with his arms. “You’ve had quite a day, haven’t you?” He felt Dorian nod under his chin. Alan could feel Dorian’s dick against his thigh, still hard, and he waited to hear if another request was forthcoming. His chest swelled with pride when Dorian said nothing about it but snuggled up to him, eyes closing.

“Feels great, lying here like this.” Dorian’s words were a whisper.

“I agree.” Alan rubbed slowly down Dorian’s back, and he almost purred. Alan chuckled. The lad was worn out. He stretched out his hand to turn off the lamps and then pulled the duvet up to cover them both. He kissed the top of Dorian’s head. “Good night, boy,” he said softly.

“Night, Sir.” Dorian already sounded sleepy. Alan lay there in the semidarkness, his arms around his submissive, feeling warm and sated. The day had taken an unexpected turn, and for a moment or two there Alan had wondered how things would pan out.

Dorian’s quiet sigh of contentment put his mind at rest.

his notes and closed the lid of the laptop. It was time to give Alan his alarm call. He was doing an hour’s workout with his weights in the cellar. Dorian put down the laptop and walked across to the wide bay window to gaze at the scene beyond. It was a beautiful morning. Sunlight poured through the lounge blinds, and outside the sky was a clear blue, not a cloud in sight. The bad weather was finally on its way out, and the thaw had already begun.

As far as Dorian was concerned, the upturn in the weather just added to the way he’d been feeling ever since he opened his eyes that morning. He’d awoken calm and refreshed, albeit with a healthy erection, which he’d done his best to ignore. Alan’s mood seemed pretty similar, and when he announced after a light breakfast that he was going to work out, Dorian couldn’t help feeling that life in the house had taken a turn for the better. Waking up in Alan’s arms had a lot to do with his optimism. Dorian couldn’t recall the last time he’d felt so… settled.

His phone’s strident call disturbed his musing, and a glance at the screen made his throat tighten. He connected the call and sat down on the couch, drawing his legs up and leaning back against the cushions.

“Hi, Justin.”

Justin sounded a little strained. “Good morning. Sorry it’s taken me so long to call you, but I’ve been having difficulty getting an appointment. The clinic is understaffed at the moment, so they tell me.”

“But you’ve got an appointment?”

“Yeah, we’ve both got one this afternoon at three o’clock. I know it’s short notice, but can you still make it?”

“Yes, that’s fine.” There was a pause. “Justin? You okay?”

“Dorian, would… do you think you could meet me beforehand for a coffee or something? I just think it feels weird to meet up at the clinic after all this time. I’d like to catch up a bit first, if that’s all right.”

Dorian didn’t think Alan would have a problem with that. “That sounds fine. Any idea where you want us to meet?”

“There’s a café on Nell Lane, not far from the clinic. Do you want to meet there, say, at two?”

Dorian caught the quaver in Justin’s voice. “Hey,” he said softly. “Don’t think about the test, okay? Worrying about it won’t do a thing to change the outcome, whatever it’s going to be. The best thing you can do right now is stay calm, yeah?”

He heard Justin take a couple of deep breaths. “Yeah, you’re right.” A moment’s pause. “Hey, Dorian? Thank you for this. I mean it.”

Heat radiated through Dorian’s chest. “It’s okay.” He was just glad that he seemed to be helping Justin in some small way. “I’ll see you at the café at two o’clock.”

“Sure. See you then.” Justin disconnected the call.

Dorian tucked the phone into his jeans pocket and clasped his hands together, deep in thought. The Justin he remembered had been a laid-back young man, a few years older than Dorian. They’d met at a club on Canal Street, and it had been a case of pure lust at first sight. Dorian had been in his first year at university, hating every minute of his business course. Their first encounter had taken place in the bar’s toilets, where Justin had forced a very horny Dorian to his knees to suck his fat cock. Dorian had been more than happy to do so. The six months that followed had been a succession of evenings spent in Dorian’s room in the halls of residence or in Justin’s flat off Great Ancoats Street.

Now that Dorian thought about it, he and Justin had been very similar. Both didn’t go in for showing much affection. More often than not, after he’d fucked the come out of Dorian, Justin would get up and take a shower before they parted for the night. Dorian hadn’t minded that there’d been little or no foreplay, and definitely
no
cuddling after sex, but when he reflected on their relationship in the light of his recent self-discovery, it seemed almost… cold.

Would I act like that if Justin and I met today?
Dorian didn’t think so. Of course it was easy to think that way with hindsight, but he hoped he’d learned enough over the past few weeks to do things differently. He wondered if the years had changed Justin at all. Then it occurred to him that he wouldn’t be seeing Justin as he truly was, but as a scared twenty-seven-year-old man who was under a lot of stress.

The more he thought about it, the more he liked the idea of meeting Justin at the café before the test. They needed to reconnect. And it would be the first time Dorian and Alan would be apart since Berlin.

Alan….
Something else occurred to him. He had no way of getting to the café, let alone buying a coffee.
I need to talk to Alan
.

Dorian left the lounge and walked along the hall to the door beneath the stairs, which opened to reveal the way down to the cellar. He descended the steep wooden stairs, holding on to the rail. This was the first time he’d visited Alan’s home gym. When he caught sight of the elliptical trainer and rowing machine, he wondered how on earth Alan had gotten them down there in the first place. There was a bracket stand against the wall for the weights, which varied in size from handheld dumbbells to full-sized barbells, a pile of weights on the floor next to them. The cellar was clean and well lit, its walls painted white to counteract the lack of natural light.

Alan was standing at the far end of the cellar, curling his arms as he exercised with dumbbells. Dorian caught the low thump-thump of music from the CD player, so quiet that it hadn’t intruded up into the lounge. He stood at the foot of the stairs, watching while Alan flexed his biceps, a look of intense concentration on his face. He didn’t seem aware of Dorian’s presence, and Dorian was taking full advantage of the opportunity to observe Alan in all his glory. His chest was bare, gleaming with sweat, his abs flexing as he worked his arms. He wore a pair of white shorts, and even at this distance, Dorian could clearly see the outline of Alan’s dick, straining against the taut fabric.

Fuck, he’s gorgeous
.

The shot of desire that rushed through Dorian disappeared equally as fast when the cock cage reminded him of its presence. He winced, hissing involuntarily.

Alan jerked his head around to regard Dorian, his eyebrows lifting. “How long have you been standing there?”

“Not long.” Dorian’s cheeks grew hot at the idea of being caught blatantly ogling him. Alan’s amused expression made him think the Dom knew
exactly
what he’d been doing—again.
At least I wasn’t caught staring at his arse this time
. He cleared his throat and straightened. “Sir, I need to talk to you.”

Alan pressed a button on the player and stopped the music. “What is it?” Dorian recounted his conversation with Justin, and Alan smiled when Dorian got to the part about the café. “That sounds like a good idea.”

Dorian shifted on his feet. “The thing is, Sir, I’ll need money to get there and to buy a coffee.” He couldn’t recall the last time he’d had to ask for money. It felt so alien to him.

Alan picked up a towel from the chair beside him and wiped over his neck and chest. Dorian tried not to stare. Alan’s gaze was sympathetic.

“It feels strange to be reliant on someone else, doesn’t it, boy?”

Dorian gave a brief nod.

“Is there anything else you need to get while you’re out?”

“No, Sir.”

Alan gave him a satisfied glance. “I’ll give you your ATM card, which you’ll return to me later.” He put down the towel and turned to face Dorian, giving him the full view of that firm, lean body. “Is there anything else I can do for you?”

Dorian shook his head, forcing himself not to let his gaze drift lower.
Why did he have to go commando this morning?
The memory of that glorious shaft, thick and long, was enough to make his hole tighten, and he fought hard to control his desire.

Then he remembered. “You asked me to tell you when you’d been down here for an hour, Sir.” Inwardly he gave himself a rough shake. He
really
needed to stop thinking with his dick when Alan was around.

Alan smiled. “Already? Wow, time certainly flew this morning.” He flexed his arms and chest. “It feels really good to be exercising again.”

That was it. “I’ll go and make us some coffee.” Dorian turned and fled up the stairs, putting space between himself and the man who seemed to have a hotline to Dorian’s cock that morning. He entered the kitchen and got on with the task of readying the coffee machine, deliberately switching his mind from what appeared to be its default setting.

What is wrong with me today?
His peaceful mood had melted away, to be replaced by recollections that caused his nerve endings to stir and his balls to tingle. He closed his eyes and breathed evenly.
It’s just because I haven’t come since Saturday night
. Okay, so it was only Thursday. The previous night his dick had been hard as a rock, but he hadn’t asked to be allowed to come. The only thing on his mind had been to service Alan, to give him pleasure.

Whoa
.

Dorian stared out the kitchen window, unseeing, thoughts tumbling through his head. In the past he’d often asked to blow his Dom, but in the forefront of his mind had always been what
he
was going to get out of it—a damn good fucking. The thought made his heart sink.
What a selfish prick I must have seemed
. In that moment he had his first inkling as to why none of his contracts had lasted.
Why would
anyone
have wanted to develop the relationship further, when all I did was think about my own wants and never theirs?

Yet that hadn’t been the case with Alan. Oh, he’d begged Alan to hold him, to banish into oblivion the ache inside him, but the idea to suck him off had been for entirely selfless motives.

I wanted to please
him.

The thought lit a fire deep inside him. Just because he could finally
see
the pattern that he’d clung to all his life didn’t mean he had to stick to it any longer. Last night
proved
to him that he wasn’t the same person.

The realization sent a rush of adrenaline tingling through his body.

“Dorian, are you okay?”

He turned toward the kitchen doorway and smiled at Alan. “I’m fine, Sir.” The coffee machine gave a gurgle and dribbled its last drips of coffee into the jug. He poured out a mug and handed it to Alan, who’d come to stand beside him, before pouring one for himself. They both gazed out at the back garden.

Alan chuckled. “I see our snowmen have begun to thaw. Shame.”

“Do you want me to rescue that harness?”

He shook his head. “It was an old one.” He laid a hand on Dorian’s shoulder. “You looked like you were miles away just then.”

Dorian opened his mouth to comment, but Alan stopped him with a gentle finger to the lips.

“You don’t have to tell me what you’re thinking
all
the time, okay? It just struck me that you were deep in thought, and I was hoping they were pleasant ones.” He withdrew his finger and then leaned toward Dorian to kiss him on the cheek before going back to drinking his coffee.

The intimate gesture warmed Dorian. Then it struck him that what he liked most was how Alan made the gesture feel totally natural. Spending a day without Alan’s touch or kiss had taught him how much he’d come to appreciate them. Alan had brought about this change in him, and for that alone, he owed it to the Dom to be honest.
