“So why are they bothering me?” she asked. She sighed and threw the box and paper away. She left the music box on the coffee table. As she came back into the living room, she noticed that the tune was still playing and realized it hadn’t stopped since she’d wound it up. How long would it play? She became even more confused when she remembered closing the lid. Had memories of that night distracted her that much? She looked over at the box and found that the lid was in fact closed. She sat down and opened it. Nothing changed. She closed it again, and the music kept playing. She turned it over and saw that the crank on the bottom was not turning. Was it only for show? How did the box work? She opened it again and watched the little cylinder turning under the glass. She closed the box and set it down. Had it been broken in transit? Was she going to be listening to that tune all day?

Her cell phone rang, and she looked at the Caller ID. It was a private number. She started to put the phone down, but she didn’t want to miss the chance to talk to Heath or Adam if it was one of them calling.

“Hello?”

“Hello, Rose,” a man said.

“And which one are you?”

“I’m Adam, the one with blond hair. Do you like your present?”

She thought about lying, but the gift was so lovely she knew he wouldn’t believe her. “Yes, it’s beautiful, but I can’t keep it. I’m flattered, but I’m not interested in whatever you two have in mind. Now that I’ve gotten out of a bad relationship, I don’t want to get into another one.” She paused. “No offense meant, of course, but I don’t want to waste the best years of my life on sex that will never lead anywhere.”

“Who says that is what we want?”

“Well, you aren’t exactly proposing marriage. And before you get me completely sidetracked, I want to make it clear that I didn’t promise either of you anything.”

“Yes, you did.”

“Then tell me what I promised you.”

“I asked you to run away with us if we gave you what you wanted. Your exact answer was ‘Of course I will. What girl wouldn’t?’”

She thought for a minute, and then she remembered the moment.
Something deep inside her stirred as she recalled being fucked by the man on the other end of the line.
“I would have said anything at that moment. I wanted you to make me come. And for the record, you were paid for your services. I owe you nothing for helping me get rid of my boyfriend.”

“You only gave your word so I would be quiet and finish fucking you?”

“Yes, and I have to say I don’t understand the two of you at all.” He sounded incredulous, which confused her. People made promises and declarations they didn’t mean during sex all the time. She was sure they said things they didn’t mean every single time they met with clients.

“We spent an entire night making love, and you can’t understand why we still want you?”

She wanted to scream. Why was he questioning her as if she was the one who wasn’t making any sense? “I don’t mean to be rude, but you two are sex workers. The sex was great, but that’s all it was. As I recall, sex wasn’t even what I wanted.”

“Yet you gave in the moment we touched you.”

“Look, Adam, I spent a year with a guy who wouldn’t fuck me. Vibrators can only do so much. I needed to be fucked, and since I had already paid so much money just to get the two of you here, I gave in. Now I wish I hadn’t.”

“Please don’t wish that, Rose.”

“You’re both gorgeous and sexy, but this is starting to give me the creeps.”

“You think we would hurt you?”

She considered this for several seconds. “I’m not afraid of that exactly. I’m suspicious though. I saw the way you two touched and looked at each other. You’re a couple. I mean in real life and not just work.”

“We are. We’re in love.”

She half-wished Adam was sitting beside her to she could shake him. “Then why do you want to see me again?”

“Didn’t you feel anything besides pleasure that night?”

“Feel anything?
Emotionally?”
Was he kidding? Did he think the three of them had made a love connection?

“Yes.”

“No, I didn’t. I was having sex with two guys I would never see again. I felt lust. Come on. I didn’t even pay attention when you told me your names. I didn’t care which was which because it didn’t matter.”

“All of it mattered to us, and I think it meant more to you than you’re admitting.”

“How is someone who worked for Fantasies Fulfilled this naïve?”

“You’re the one who is being naïve. You’re assuming we couldn’t have felt anything for you because we’re, as you put it, sex workers. Also, what you’re interpreting as naivety is actually confusion. I sound incredulous because I know you felt the same spark that we did.”

“You don’t know me at all. We only had one night together, and we didn’t spend it telling our life stories.”

“We got to know each other very well though. You can really see and know someone when they open up to you completely. When we showed up you spent several minutes explaining that you didn’t want sex, but everything changed when we touched. You surrendered, and there were no barriers between us.”

She thought about how it had started. They had agreed to her terms, and then they’d moved to the bedroom. Heath had kissed her, and the touch of his lips had absolutely taken her breath away. Adam had moved in behind her and undressed her in mere moments. Being naked and pressed between their hard bodies had been too much for her to resist. She felt another stirring in her core as she recalled this man fingering her and then sliding his hard cock over her ass and into her eager pussy.

“What are you thinking?” Adam asked softly.

She realized she had been silent a long time. “What do you think?” she said testily.

“You’re remembering being with us. Please see us again. We’ll meet in public. We’ll work on relating those life stories you think are so important.”

“Well, it will give new meaning to the term ‘double date’ now, won’t it?” She sighed in exasperation.
“Fine.
We will have dinner in a restaurant. You will not come here. Okay? I guess I can’t stop you, but I request that you stay away from my apartment. If you’re being genuine about your feelings, I assume you’ll respect that wish.”

“We will, if that’s what you want.”

“It is. I’m free tomorrow night. We’ll meet at Giovanna’s at six. You know it, don’t you?”

“Yes. We’ll be there.”

“Okay. That’s settled. No more presents or notes. Got it?”

“Yes, Rose, I’ve got it. Though I have to say it’s amazing how averse you are to being wooed considering what you let us do to you that night.”

She tried to keep memories from invading again. “You are persistent, aren’t you? Is this how you usually get what you want?”

“Yes. It’s how I won Heath’s heart. He’d never been with a man before, but when I made my interest known he admitted he was attracted to me and gave in. Our first touch was unforgettable. I don’t believe in denying or hiding what I feel.”

As he spoke she couldn’t fight off the memory of the two men kissing. Maybe their lives were unconventional, but what Adam had just said was very romantic. Again she questioned their desire to see her. They had all they would ever need in each other. Why involve her? She shook her head and decided she would wait for a face-to-face meeting to ask that question again.

“I’m not denying or hiding anything. I think this situation is strange. I’m ninety-nine percent sure this is a bad idea, but I am willing to meet you both in public.”

“I’m glad. We’ll see what we can do with that one percent of you that favors us.”

He lowered his voice to a sensual whisper, as if he knew exactly where to find that one percent.

“Good-
bye,
Rose.”

“Bye.” She hung up, but as she put the phone down she cursed. She’d meant to say something about the music box. She didn’t mind the tune, but she wanted it to stop playing. She lifted the box in her hands and looked at the engraving on the inside of the lid.
Come, follow me.
Was that the name of the song playing? What did it mean?

She shifted on the couch and cursed again. She was wet and anxious now. She wanted to come, but masturbating right after talking to Adam was a bad idea. To her it seemed like she was caving, so she tried to think of something else. She put the box down and went into her bedroom. The tune had a sensual lilt, and she knew hearing it wasn’t helping. However, going into the bedroom had been the wrong move. They’d spent hours fucking in this room. In fact she couldn’t look at any part of the room without remembering what they’d done there. That pissed her off, but getting angry with herself only intensified her need to come.

She opened the middle dresser drawer and pulled her clit massager out. What was the point in fighting it? Having an orgasm would relax her and then she could get her mind on something else. She took her jeans and panties off and stretched across her bed. She ran one finger over her pussy. She was wetter than she’d thought. Talking to Adam and hearing his voice had triggered so many memories from that night. She rubbed herself and got her clit wet, and then she turned on the massager. She put it on the highest setting right away so she’d come quickly. She moaned as she rubbed it against her clit. Pleasure coursed through her immediately, and as her pussy muscles clenched she got even wetter. Her nipples tingled, and she pinched one through her shirt and bra. She sighed as she remembered Adam eating her pussy while Heath had used his teeth to tease her nipples. Those two knew how to use their mouths to drive a woman wild. She imagined them together without her, and she clenched again. In her mind she saw Adam on top of Heath, kissing him as he fucked him in the ass. Adam reached between them to stroke Heath’s cock, and Rose
threw
the massager aside to rub her clit as she came. She cried out as the sensations sparked all over her body. Her breasts ached as her core trembled. She pressed the heel of her hand against herself as she came back to reality. As she caught her breath, she heard the music box tinkling. What was happening to her? She rolled over and clutched her pillow against her chest. If thinking about Heath and Adam could make her come like that, what would happen if she let them touch her again? The throbbing inside her pussy was the only answer she got.

Chapter 3

Heath felt the butterflies going insane in his stomach as they drove to the restaurant. He’d been able to think of nothing but Rose for the past twenty-four hours. He’d been beside Adam on the couch while he talked to Rose on speaker phone, and he knew he’d been driving Adam crazy ever since as he tried to analyze and dissect every word, every sigh,
every
pause.

Adam reached over and stroked his leg when they stopped at a red light. “You look terrified. You heard her. She’s open to what we have to say. She might think we’re a little odd, but she does not think we’re crazy, and she is not afraid of us.”

“I’m not scared. I’m a little nervous.”

“Don’t be. Picture her naked if it helps.” Adam burst out laughing.

“I doubt that would help.” He sighed. “It would probably make things worse.”

“You plan on getting so aroused you jump over the table and tackle her?”

Heath finally cracked a smile. “Not tonight.” Adam loved teasing him, and at times it could get annoying, but he knew Adam was trying his best to put him at ease. Though his own temperament was very open, he’d never had Adam’s confidence or charisma. Adam had won him over with a look, with a single kiss. He’d never considered being with a man until Adam had looked into his eyes that
night
when they were both with Mallory. He’d given in to the attraction he’d only been half-aware of, and he’d never regretted it.

“Good. Everything should be fine then.” Adam parked the car and got out.

Heath followed him to the door, straightening his tie for the fifth time. He’d convinced Adam they should dress up a little. Adam wore a burgundy dress shirt with a wine-and-gold tie with black pants that fit him perfectly. Heath had decided on khakis, a pale blue shirt, and a silver-and-blue tie. The night they’d met Rose he had been wearing jeans with a fitted black t-shirt and Adam had been wearing leather pants and a blue silk shirt, though she probably hardly remembered what they’d been wearing because they’d all been naked within fifteen minutes. Heath hoped Rose would see them differently tonight. He hated that she thought they were from completely different worlds. He and Adam had indeed had many amazing experiences since meeting Mallory, and their work at Fantasies Fulfilled was far from normal resume material, but the three of them weren’t so different inside where it counted.

He felt a little better when he spotted Rose and saw a friendly smile spread across her face. She looked like she wanted to be there with them. Was that true? He hoped so.

“Hello, Adam,” she said as they approached. She turned her face to him.
“Heath.”

“You look enchanting, Rose,” Adam said as he sat down.

“Thank you,” she said. She took in their appearance and added, “You two look very nice.”

“We thought we’d make the effort to look normal,” Adam teased.
