Marty comes in all smiles. My hands freeze on the keyboard. “Good day?”

‘I got a job!’ She makes a grunt noise and fist pumps making me laugh.

“Fuckin’ nice. Where are you working?”

‘HR. Doing the same work as before the men took us. I get to go to work again!’ She sits and stomps her feet so excited.

“Josh and Jake need the help. That’s good you fit in there,” I tell her but I’m planning a meet with them to warn them off her. She doesn’t need more bullshit after what she’s been through.

‘We’ll be able to live right here and the MC will keep us safe. Tess said it will all work out and Aubrey will love me like before.’ She’s beaming.

I laugh. “This excitement is about Aubrey. That’s good. Any idea when that starts?”

Her smile falls. ‘She didn’t say. Sorry we’re still here. I’m trying with her. I’ll ask Kate if there’s somewhere we can go.’

What! She’s taking her away? “Not fuckin’ likely. She stays here, she’s happy here and she’s getting better. Next week she gets surgery and she’s nervous. She’s not going through another fuckin’ minute alone.”

She gives me an odd look. ‘You want us to stay or just Aubrey?’

“Jesus, both of you. I was asking for you. I see you trying and just hoped Tess told you more. You need to build that with her right here where she’s comfortable,” I say, but I’m thinking there is no fuckin’ way she’s taking Half Pint away when the kid won’t even look at her.

She nods and smiles again. I see relief on her face and think I’m such a dick, but the kid is staying. ‘Thank you. She is getting better because of you. I don’t want to take her and damage her further. She loves and trusts you.’

I nod, but don’t say a word. She’s going to have to get by me to walk out the door with my Half Pint and it won’t be easy. I love the kid too. I shake my head. “Little Ben and Lilly will be here tonight. I have a job to do at Security in a couple of hours. Do you want to go out for dinner? I told Half Pint I’d ask and we can celebrate your job.”

She’s got that big smile on again. ‘If she wants to, yes.’

I smile. “At some point you’ll have to say no to her.”

Her smile doesn’t falter. ‘That isn’t today.’ I laugh signing, ‘OK.’

Little Ben meets us at the Diner. He listens to Aubrey tell him about her days. Since she sleeps through the night he hasn’t been over. Jeremy took what he could and left it good for her. We need a couple of things from the store so we hit the grocery on the way home. Half Pint keeps us laughing through the store. She’s never been and finds everything amazing. She never once asks for anything so of course I have to buy it. We have fruit I’ve never seen before, honey cereal and cheese stick packs. Little Ben throws granola bars and some cheese crackers in the cart.

She’s running ahead while I get milk and orange juice. Marty is happy with whatever we do and I’m glad she’s easy. As I’m putting the juice in the cart Aubrey screams, “Geek!” Little Ben lifts her up turning her back toward us.

When he does I see the pussy behind him. Fuck! The fuckin’ guy hasn’t been to work in a week, but shows today! I’m pushing past Little Ben before I realize I’ve moved. My hand is on his neck and I’m squeezing as my fist hits his stomach. “Geek!” Little Ben catches my attention. “Not here Brother.” My hand loosens on his throat. “Need cleanup,” he says and I look at him as he’s closing his phone. “I’ll take him out the back. He’ll be at Security when you get Aubrey and Marty settled for the night. Ops just got canceled.” This was our Op. I’m trying to process what he said, but I want to beat the fuck out of the guy. “I got him Brother. Get your girls settled and meet me at Security. Lilly will be over in case Aubrey wakes up.”

I shake my head trying to clear it. “You got this.”

“Yeah Brother. Get Aubrey out of here. She needs you now. Deal with the pussy later.”

I nod and look for my Half Pint. She’s rocking on the floor crying. Fuck! Marty is sitting with her legs around her but not touching her. She’s crying too. Shit. I lift Half Pint and take Marty’s hand helping her up. By the time Aubrey’s calm and sees she’s okay, the people move along and Little Ben is gone. I’m still shaking with adrenaline but get my girls home and the food put away. Aubrey helps get the snacks put up so she sees where they go. I’m distracted and see the flash of the pussy’s face. Shit. I clear my head and lift her up. “He’ll never hurt you again Half Pint. We’ll make sure of it. You trust me?”

She nods laying her head on my shoulder. I need to keep a clear head before I make her life a fuckin’ hell. I get her washed and she dresses herself all proud. I crack up. She didn’t want the princesses to feel bad so she wore the purple princess shirt with the black and yellow smiley face pants because she’s happy she got snacks. I’m good with whatever the hell she wants if it keeps a smile on her face.

Lilly comes in with a movie and popcorn. I leave them letting Marty know I’m at Security and to text me if there is a problem. She seems happy and surprised I talked to her. “Because she doesn’t know, doesn’t mean I don’t. You’re her mother and according to Tess she’ll know that soon enough. I need to go.”

She nods and signs a ‘thank you.’ I kiss Half Pint but she’s watching the start of some cartoon movie. Thank fuck I’m out. The princess movies are old and it’s only been a few days. I’m smiling about that on the way to Security. It’s been a good week until she saw the pussy. Even now she’s bounced back pretty quick.

I walk in the door and right into HS Surveillance. Digs is at his console and Little Ben is running the room. I scan the boards and see nothing is happening at the moment. “In holding,” Little Ben says. I keep walking. Danny, Tiny and VP are sitting around the desk in the corridor.

“She okay?” Tiny asks.

They’re worried over my Half Pint. “Yeah. Lilly’s got her watching a new princess movie. God help me when she’s seen them all.” They laugh.

“They start at the beginning again Brother. It never ends,” Danny says.

VP stands. “She sees him in dreams. Had her mouth on him. He hurt her too. Pussy’ll never make it out. Cloud’s on his way. Saw the blood, needs his shot. Wants painful like you.”

“Other Brothers called a shot but VP didn’t think there would be anything left to hit,” Tiny says.

I nod and walk through grabbing the police baton from the hook outside the cell. I open the gate and he’s crying. “I didn’t know the MC bought her.”

I hook the baton in the gate and walk toward him. “Bought her?”

“The Indian said she’s yours. I didn’t know. I paid and they sent me to the house in the woods. I had two hours that’s it.” He’s fuckin’ crying like a girl. I pull him to stand and put a wire tie around each hand then I wire tie them on the bars so he’s stretched out. He doesn’t even try to fight. Stupid bastard. If I knew I was going to die I’d fight with everything in me. Pussies are all the same they cry and let you have your shot.

Danny pulls his pants and puts a spreader bar on him. He’s still got no fight. It’s almost pathetic, but not enough for me to stop. With the baton I walk outside the bars so I can see his face. While Danny and Tiny hook his feet up on the bars he starts whining about not even getting in her pussy. I lose it and shove the baton in his mouth until he gags.

Cloud comes running down the hall. “I’ll make it painful. VP says get home. It’s important.”

Fuck. I hand him the baton. “Dry. Let him feel her pain.” He nods. Since he’s pissed I leave knowing the little fuck will get his.

Danny rides on the side of me back to the house. I hope to fuck she doesn’t see what happens with him. I run in the door and it’s Marty that’s crying. Pres is holding her. Lilly has Half Pint but looks pale. “What the fuck is going on?”

Pres looks at Aubrey then me. “Get Aubrey up to bed. Jeremy is on his way.” I nod and take her from Lilly.

She doesn’t say a word as I get her teeth brushed and settled in bed. Jeremy comes in and holds his fist out to me. I bump it and hope he keeps her calm. When I make the living room Danny hands me a shot. Fuck, this can’t be good. Marty comes to me so I hold her against my chest while she cries. “Someone want to tell me what the fuck is going on?”

Pres holds his hand up. I hear the bikes and wait for whoever is supposed to be here. Danny opens the door for Little Ben and VP. “You want to sit for this,” Danny says.

Little Ben sits in the chair pulling Lilly to his side. She sits on the arm and holds his hand. “A few years ago Christian came to me with a vision. He was new to us and the visions were just coming out. I was too young to get it then. I told Pres and asked for advice. The vision was a woman that needed help. She was supposed to be yours. I was working with Casper to get feeds in the school so I asked him to find her for me. He was sleeping at the PD then, but I didn’t know it until much later.” My head is spinning. Fuckin’ Casper is Aubrey’s dad. Lilly’s sister. He nods at me. Fuck!

“My father found out about my mother and Petey. He was divorcing her. That’s why she left. She thought everyone would find out if we stayed. I hated her. She was cheating on him then, didn’t own it, but ran. She didn’t cry for him, it was Petey she cried for. As soon as I could, I got out. Little Ben helped me through all that and deal with some things my father said that showed me he wasn’t always a nice guy,” Lilly says with tears running down her face. Pres hands her tissues and rubs her back. She’s always been ours and I’m glad to see she sees it now.

Pres turns to me. “I wish that was the end of it.” He nods to Little Ben.

“Casper was having problems with the PD not doing their job. When we had the war on the reservation you got pissed at him. You were picking up the slack for his officers and let him know. He was pissed at you because you disrespected him in front of the Brothers. It wasn’t until Lilly told me how mad he was that I put it together. I would have never brought Marty to him if I knew.”

Unfuckinbelievable. “Fuckin’ Casper used her to get back at me?” I can’t get it out of my head. If he wasn’t dead I’d kill him.

“Christian’s vision had you with Marty and a girl, Aubrey.” I sit Marty up and start pacing. “Marty worked computers with you and Aubrey was taken while Jeremy was at the house in Rehoboth. It wasn’t Jacob but Aubrey. What Casper did changed that.”

“What he did put her in the fuckin’ house, chained to a fuckin’ bed, being sold to fuckin’ pussies! All because I told him the truth!” My hands drop. He’s dead and she was supposed to be mine. She is mine. Little Ben nods.

“Her thing with you is because of that. Somewhere in her, she knows you are her dad. Jeremy knew right away.”

“Why didn’t you tell me?” I growl at him.

“Until Lilly called me I thought Marty was just Marty. Her name is Amber Martha Druid. As soon as I got the call it clicked. Lilly remembers Casper being pissed and telling one of his guys about Marty. He had no intention of telling me he found her.” He looks away.

“What?”

Lilly looks at Marty. “He was already seeing someone else. He laughed about leaving you, saying the freak was wrong. Meaning Christian.”

“Jesus! You think she could live without that fuckin’ knowledge?” I yell pissed?

Pres signs for me to calm down. “She needs to know the truth. It was a Brother that brought her here. She needs to decide if another Brother can walk her through it.”

I nod he’s fuckin’ right. “Tell me there’s no more to this fuckin’ tale from the crypt.”

“Other than I’m sorry, there’s no more to it, no,” Little Ben says.

Danny hands me another shot. “Lilly and Brenda have a sister they didn’t know about. They’re going to want to know her. That’s up to you and Marty to decide. Aubrey could use the support with the surgeries coming up.”

I look at a silent Marty. She lost her ability to talk because of Casper. With tears running she nods. “Of course,” I tell him. Lilly hugs me crying about not knowing. “I can’t keep thinking of what happened and function normally. I’m fuckin’ pissed they went through what they did over something so stupid. You need to let it go Lilly, Brenda too. Your dad was a good Brother. Made a fuckin’ tragic mistake, but a good Brother. Remember that.” She cries harder.

Little Ben slaps my back taking her from me and walks her out. Pres stands in front of Marty and signs while talking. “Casper fucked with you and Aubrey’s lives. The Brotherhood will make sure you are taken care of. She will never need for anything. If you stay we can ensure you’re both safe too.”

She looks at him before answering. ‘You have a proven track record. Thank you,’ she signs.

He pulls her up and hugs her. “Fuckin’ women always surprising me.” Danny man hugs me and walks out with Pres.

‘I’m taking a bath. This has been a crazy day and I need some time.’ Marty signs.

I nod and sign, ‘OK.’ thinking I need some time to get my head clear. With her fuckin’ tears that won’t happen. I hope it’s a long bath.

I turn toward the kitchen and VP comes around the corner with two beers. Handing me one he walks out the door and sits on the porch. “Fuckin’ Casper. Didn’t get visions. Didn’t believe,” he says and I know he’s pissed by his clipped words.

“Yeah.” I have nothing else to say. Aubrey was sold, raped, chained to a bed and beaten by grown men. She’s fuckin’ five. Marty went through hell, getting beat, raped and losing her ability to talk or even cry out because I told Casper his PD was not doing their job.
