“They will.” April smoothed out her long dress. “Don’t worry. I’ll check on the tour every day.”

“You sure you don’t mind?”

“No, I’d love to do that for my big sister.”

“I love you so much.” She gave April a hug.

A knock sounded on her former bedroom door. Her mom peeked her head in. “You ready?”

“Yes.”

Surprisingly, she had no doubts that marrying Wade and Heath was absolutely the best choice she could ever make. Taking a deep breath, she walked downstairs into her parents’ living room. There was a makeshift altar in front of the fireplace. Heath and Wade stood to one side, along with their foreman and his assistant. On the other side, her four brothers and two sisters looked prettier than any Norman Rockwell illustration.

Her father moved alongside her as her mom began to play the wedding march. Her heart swelled. She’d asked for a small wedding, but somehow between the aunts, uncles, and cousins, there had to be fifty people in attendance.

The reverend was the same one who’d married her cousin in her ménage marriage. Officially, she’d be marrying Wade since he was the oldest, but in her heart, she’d be with both. Her father took hold of her arm and walked her forward as the music played. Her eyes watered. It had been a long time since she’d heard her mom’s music.

Both Wade and Heath were smiling broadly. She couldn’t help but take a quick glance at their crotches. She swore their cocks twitched just for her. April pressed a piece of paper into her hand. Sam had almost forgotten her vows. She’d spent hours last night making them just right.

When she stood in front of the preacher, the music stopped and Wade and Heath stood on either side of her.

“Would you read your vows, Samantha?”

“I, Samantha Callen, do take Wade and Heath Watson to be my lawfully wedded husbands. You turned my life around and made me put my face to the sun and absorb the light. You jump-started my soul and made me realize who I really was and who I wanted to be. Thank you for allowing me to find myself again. I will stand by you for the rest of my life.”

Both Wade and Heath took her hand. Since she was officially marrying Wade, he’d say the vows for both of them.

“I, Wade Watson, take you, Samantha Callen, to be my lawfully wedded wife. You brought light into our life when there was not enough. You reached into our souls and showed up what true love was like. We promise to protect and cherish you for as long as you shall live.”

The preacher said a few more words, then announced, “You may now kiss the bride.”

She kissed Wade first.

“Hey, it’s my turn.” Heath pulled her out of Wade’s grasp and gave her a mind-blowing kiss.

“That’s long enough.” Wade pulled her away, and so began at least a minute of tug or war.

“No fighting, remember.” She gathered them close. “When we are on our honeymoon, I promise there will be a ton of kisses.”

Wade wrapped an arm around her waist. “I hope there will be more than that.” He winked.

She laughed. Her mom played again, and the reverend announced it was time for the father-daughter dance.

“If you’ll excuse me both.”

She swung around and found her dad. She felt like she was ten years old again when he’d attempted to teach her to dance. She’d been a terrible student then, and she hadn’t improved much over the years. She did the best she could to keep up until the number mercifully ended. So that her mother wouldn’t be stuck at the piano all night, they put in a CD, and the festivities began.

The men thought honeymooning in Hawaii would be an ideal location, because she couldn’t take off and check on her ranch.

Heath handed her a glass of wine. They each had a beer and held them up in a toast. “To the most wonderful and sexy woman alive.”

She’d come a long way since meeting them, and she didn’t miss those damn cattle one bit. Being able to show people the beauty of the land suited her just fine.

They touched their glasses. “To the two best husbands a woman could have.”

They spread out and talked to each of the guests and ate a ton of food. They weren’t scheduled to leave until tomorrow morning, but she had a lot of things to take care of before they left.

Around eleven, both of her husbands made her hug her parents and guests good-night. “We have plans for you tonight.”

“I have to finish some paperwork.”

“Paperwork that can wait until you return.”

“Maybe, but I’m not totally free of my obligations until I step on that plane.”

They escorted her outside. “I think Heath and I have something to say about that.”

She had to laugh. Marrying them meant a good deal of her time would be spent in bed. No woman could complain about that.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Unlike most other authors, I started writing late in life. Writing stories in high school and college was not for me. Only after I graduated did I fall in love with romance novels. For the next twenty years, I read voraciously. It got to a point where my book buying habits cost as much as my groceries. At that point, my husband suggested I write a book. Hey, it looked easy, right? All the stories started in the same spot (hero and heroine at odds) and ended the same way (happily ever after). Only it was anything but easy. Eleven years and fifteen completed romantic suspenses later, I finally published. I never would have gotten that far had it not been for two local chapters whose generous members shared their amazing wealth of knowledge.
