“The firing. The injustice of it all,” he joked.

“Please explain,” she said.

“You know, it’s the whole Black Power thing.” John started to sweat. He knew he had opened his mouth and shoved his fat foot right down his throat.

Olivia crossed her arms and leaned back in her chair. “So, you see nothing wrong with firing people for no reason? Qualified people. You do know they were all qualified, right? Or did you bother to pass the hiring along to those lowly folk like me? Their skin color had nothing to do with it. I was impressed with their resumes before they walked in the door. You’re right; it is an injustice but not one for the Reverend, but rather judiciary. Illionois’s law needs to change.”

“Geez, Olivia, you don’t have to get so angry. Have a nice day,” said the walrus, backing out her office.

Once again, I am The Angry Black Woman. He brought his fat ass in my office, bothering me, and I am angry. I hate being the only black person in management.

Technically, they had one more in charge of Customer Service, but he didn’t count. His skin may have been black, but his soul was whiter than a member of the Aryan Nation. Olivia was the chosen one who had to endure most of the ignorant comments. Her coworkers thought she spoke for the whole black race. They would ask or say the silliest things to her.

“See, a black man won the presidential election. There is no racism here.”

“There was a shooting on the news on the Eastside. Is that near where you live?”

“Michael Jackson was from Gary. You have relatives from there. Did you know him?”

“Are you mad that Michael had kids by a white woman, so their skin would not be dark?”

“You voted for Obama because he’s black.”

The list went on and on. She was never the initiator any of those conversations.

“What did fat boy want?” Anita asked. She was one of the few people Olivia did speak to outside of work related topics. “I saw John come out and start whispering to people.”

“The usual. ‘Ask a black person.’”

“Man, the nerve of some people. You gave him a piece of your mind, didn’t you? I bet he is running around saying how angry you are now. The good thing is most know you’re one of the nicest and loyal people in the company.” Anita smiled.

“Well, at least I have you fooled.” She laughed.

“What are your plans for your half day?”

“Not too much. Treating myself to a nice and quiet lunch to start.”

“Girl, you’re so boring. Well, enjoy. I’ll leave you to it.”

Anita was cool but not that cool to know the other side of her. Olivia wasn’t going to tell her that she was about to go and hook up with some guy off the internet. She planned to practice some sexy moves on him, and then use those moves on a website to bring out her inner sexuality, and bring in some extra cash.

“Later.” Olivia waved.

She watched Anita go back to her desk before grabbing her black purse, turning off the lights to her office, and locking her door. Olivia got a kick out of having her own door to lock. She’d hated sitting in cubical hell. Everyone was so nosey. Olivia couldn’t go to the bathroom without folks questioning her. Now, she was the manager and could pee in peace.

Earl said he lived in the downtown area in one of the new condos. She knew exactly which ones, having admired them as she drove past a few times, but she’d stick to her kids having a yard to play in. His place was only a short drive from the office, and she made it there in no time.

“I can’t believe you’re
actually here,” Earl said shyly as he stood in the doorway. He had a Steve Urkel voice and glasses, but the muscles poking out his shirt were sexy.

This is going to be easier than I thought.

“I can’t believe I’m here either. You have a very nice condo,” Olivia said, looking around his home as he let her in. He had a lot a paintings and sculptures neatly placed around the living room.

“Would you like something to drink?”

She followed him to the kitchen counter and took a seat on a barstool. “Do you have any fresh bottles of wine?” Olivia didn’t want anything unopened from him. Black people could be serial killers too.

“I have Riesling. Is that okay?”

“Yes, I like the sweeter wines.”

He poured her a glass and handed it to her. Olivia intended to sip, but with her nerves so bad she finished in three gulps. She waved him off on any more. What she drank was enough to cause a slight buzz.

From the way Earl fidgeted and tapped his feet on the floor, Olivia could tell he was uncomfortable as well.

I did read about women needing to take charge, so I guess I better start now.

Taking him by the hand, she led him to his lazy boy chair in his living room. “Can you turn on the R&B XM station?”

He picked up the remote and turning the TV to the music station.

She hadn’t bought a dancing outfit to practice in. The red lace bra and thong she had on would have to be enough.

Pushing him back on the chair, she said, “Relax.” The books said to look your lover in the eyes and undress slowly. So that’s what she did. Olivia looked at him and began unbuttoning her blouse one button at a time. As she did, she rolled her body to the music. She hoped it looked sexy, and not clumsy, which was how she felt.

A huge grin spread across his face. Earl was enjoying it. When she got to the last button, Olivia turned her back to him and let the shirt fall to the floor. She focused on the skirt zipper, which was in the back. Olivia pulled the zipper down as slow as she could. Her sweaty hands threatened to let it slip. She breathed a sigh of relief when it was low enough for her to remove her skirt.

Bracing herself to avoid falling on her face, she sat in his lap and leaned back on him. Olivia eased the skirt down her legs and on to the floor. His penis was rock hard and poked her from behind.

She moved her butt side to side across him. It was her attempt at a lap dance. His breathing increased, and she relaxed a little and listened to the music. She closed her eyes and imagined Earl was the man of her dreams. Feeling braver, she stood up, giving him an up-close view of her thong-filled ass.

“Oh my,” he said, letting out a soft laugh.

Earl’s hands worked their way to her butt cheeks. He gave it a squeeze and a pat, making it jiggle. He moved her thong to the side, and she felt something hot and moist in the crack of her ass.

Her butt cheeks clinched. This wasn’t what she had in mind. She wanted to pull away but couldn’t. She’d never had her ass licked before, and it felt good. Her senses were elevated, and moisture formed at her mound.

Earl pulled her back until Olivia was in his lap and put his hand down her thong. He began playing with her pussy while he ground his rod against her. His long fingers felt wonderful inside of her. She spread her legs and arched her up, inviting them in.

His body tensed up, and Earl groaned. He released a load in his slacks. Moisture seeped through to her butt cheeks.

“Thank you,” he said, nuzzling against her neck.

“Um, you’re welcome,” she said, confused. What happened was not the outcome she expected. Apparently she had more skills than she thought.

“You’re a good teacher,” he said with a coy grin. “You knew how to make me obey you and lick your ass without saying a word. You knew I would be a good boy.”

What the hell? Obey? This joker is into some weird shit.

“Okay,” she mumbled, wiping her butt against his shirt to remove his seepage.

“Mistress, is there anything else you would like me to do?” Earl got down on his knees, resembling a begging puppy.

Yes, get the hell out my way, so I can go!
She’d read about Dominatrix too, but it was out of her league. She gathered up her clothes.

“I have to leave, but remember, you can’t call me. I will call you. If not, you will make your Mistress very angry,” Olivia said. Picking up her purse, she backed away from Earl and took off. She ran outside with her blouse half buttoned and made her way to her car.

She looked at the clock on her dashboard and reasoned she had more than enough time to go home and wash his stench off her. Her plan had been to give him a dance, not make him cum. He was cute, but he was weird, and his breath was a wee bit tart. She wouldn’t be calling him again.

As she drove away, she was thankful her mom wanted the boys to go out to the country and fish with her. Olivia would have the house all to herself. They wouldn’t be back until Sunday.

Olivia rounded the corner to her house to see Travis’s SUV in the driveway—on her side. Slowing down, she corrected the buttons on her blouse and smoothed out her hair. There was no way she’d allow him an opportunity to say anything negative to her. She pulled in the driveway and opened the garage.

“Where have you been?” he asked, stepping out the car. “I called your office and your cell.”

“Does it matter? Did you care where I was when you were screwing someone else?” She made her way to the door.

“I am going to let that one slide. Look, I have been thinking. Maybe I can deal with the traveling.”

“Really?” Her heart skipped a beat, and a smile spread across her face. Letting the door handle go, she turned to face him. Maybe they could work it out and all those years of being with him wouldn’t be thrown away. With some counseling things could possibly be okay.

“Well, as long as you agree to cut back on some of your hours. I’m willing to compromise with you working part-time.”

For a millisecond, he almost had her. Olivia thought he’d come to his senses. Her smile faded. “So, let’s see, I’m supposed to cut back my hours and accept the fact that you cheated on me? No thanks.”

“What’s happened to you? You used to be so nice and understanding.”

“Don’t you mean dumb? Those days are over. You happened to me. All these years, I thought I couldn’t make it without you, but I was wrong. I can stand on my own. I have been doing that. Remember, it was my credit that got us this house. It just took me to put you out to realize it.”

He walked over to her and stood inches away from her face. “And it was me who paid the mortgage. You sure couldn’t afford it.”

No thanks to your sorry ass holding me back! Punk! I was too busy killing myself helping you get your business off the ground all these years.

“I can sure afford it now. Thank you for being so kind and letting me take the manager position.” Sarcasm and anger oozed out of her. She backed away from him.

“Whatever, Olivia. I see how it’s going to be. You’ll be missing me soon enough. I know it gets lonely at night under those sheets. You’re too much a plain Jane for anyone to be chasing after you.”

Travis walked over to his truck, got in, and pulled off so fast that he almost ran over the neighbor’s cat.

We will see who the plain Jane is.

After clicking the button to close the garage door, she went into the house, set out a new outfit, and got in the shower. She washed away her anger and focused on the moves she’d try out at
The Playhouse
. Olivia couldn’t believe she was really going to go through with it. Travis’ words made her more determined than ever.

Chapter Eight

Olivia pulled in front a brick two-story home in a quiet neighborhood. She didn’t expect Mercedes to have such a big house. She knew Mercedes had to be making a lot of money, being the site owner, but the house was really nice. From what she could tell, the place had to have at least five bedrooms.

She stepped out of her car and made her way to the door. Without ringing the doorbell, the door opened. A handsome man in a black shirt stood in front of her.

“Please come in,” he said. “Miss Emily is expecting you.”

The woman even had security. Olivia was escorted in by the fine specimen. He was the perfect eye candy, and his polo shirt fit him just right. She wanted to start licking on those arms of his—just yummy.

Calm down. You’re just tense because you haven’t had sex in months.

Mercedes was waiting for her in formal dining room and stood up to great her.

“You can use the Player’s Lounge. I just had a pole installed.” Mercedes was all business “I don’t expect you to know how to work it just yet. Climbing up it takes lots of practice. Just go ahead and get comfortable with it.”

Mercedes came out of the room, shook her hand, and waved for Olivia to follow her upstairs. She led Olivia past three doors, before pulling out her keys and unlocking the fourth one.

“I have a four year old. I don’t want him messing around in these rooms. You can lock it back from the inside.”

“Okay.” That was all Olivia could manage to say after taking in the room. It was a sex lair from the pink, red, and black fuzzy pillows to the heart-shaped chaise. Of course, the pole provided an added bonus. It was set up in the corner, but far enough away from the wall so whoever used it could swing around it.

“Have a seat at the computer and input your name when you’re ready. Kenny is online and will provide you with further instructions.” She left the room.

That was fine with Olivia, because she wasn’t comfortable dancing in front of a woman.
